had a fab 21st meal here tonight. really enjoyed the food and staff. Faye, Ethan, Niamh, Alexei and George were fantastic. Really great night.

Came in with my family for a roast and it was great value for money. Harriet looked after us so well and was excellent with my little girl. We will be back to the prince soon! They really do cater well for young families. Deffo recommend!

A great menu, great drinks, lovely atmosphere for any type of food or drink occasion, great for friends and great for family. Our waitress Harriet was friendly, kind and gave me free vegan ice cream.

Not been for a while but food and service first class. Had the roasted chicken with truffle sauce ! Harriet was very attentive and helped me choose some good wine and was so accommodating with my little one. She’s an absolute asset to you!

The menu is a good variety and the quality of the food has definitely improved over the last couple of years. Yesterday, I went with a few friends for lunch at the Prince of Wales restaurant. We ordered a variety of small plates to share along with mini desserts and coffee. The food was excellent - very tasty and well presented. The staff were polite and helpful. We had a very enjoyable relaxed afternoon. I have used this restaurant several times, including, group Christmas meals. The food has always been of an excellent standard. An added bonus was ample free parking for customers- very difficult to find in this locality.

Made notes on booking regarding birthday celebration, this wasn’t mentioned or noted by the team at any point. Immediately met by we have sold out of all our specials and some items on the menu. Really poor start to the meal, the food was great throughout, drinks while good, we felt bad ordering more cocktails as the bartender moaned every time we did, we were only a few feet from the bar in full view of him. As it came towards the end of the meal the service became very sporadic and made it harder to order further drinks. Really poor visit, shame as I had highly recommended to my friends for my birthday celebrations

I had my 70th birthday at the Prince of Wales Sheffield. Two of us had starters with cheese and bits of stale bread. We had to send it back. 3 of us had lamb main course. It was so tough I couldn't swallow it. We sent it back and had sea bass instead which was just ok. My daughter had pork belly. The fat was uncooked and soft. We complained and another piece of meat was brought to the table. They took some meals off the bill and gave us a discount but I was so disappointed as it was a special occasion. I would never go back there based on the quality of food at the time.

1st drink x 2 colas at £3.90 2nd set f drinks x 2 colas at £6.70 or around about same size and nothing different, questioning why , they rang through at half pint and full pints , too much ice in glass told bar tender to remove most of it, pay more for ice than drink . Won't be going back

Came for drinks with friends. We were looked after by young Ethan - he was a very witty character and a true asset to the business.

Great restaurant. Very tasty dishes, especially steak and burgers. Good Moonshine craft beers. Fast and professional service. I recommend it when visiting Sheffield.

Was obviously cooked fresh as there was a little wait. Tea was served promptly. Eggs were slightly snotty, so will ask for scrambled next time. However, the eggs were seasoned very well. Plate was well presented and bean s in their own little baby pan, were very hot! Would recommend.

We have eaten here several times. The staff are very friendly and professional. It is very clean and well maintained. The food is always delicious and well presented. The menu changes are a nice addition to the regular fish and chips etc. Calamari was melt in the mouth perfect and prawn sandwich. Thank you for changing it to a brioche bun. Highly recommended and will definitely be back

This is my local. It's lovely but the prices are extortionate. Today I popped in for a quick drink at lunch, it was £16.60 for a glass of house white wine and a pint. That's insane, you can fly to Barcelona for less! I have to say though, the food is delicious and fairly good value considering the quality. I like the small dishes and the pasta. Lots of healthier options for a pub. The decor is quite swanky and the service is good. It's also dog friendly inside and out. The outdoor seating doesn't get much sun in the evening and there's no real garden but there is quite a bit of outdoor seating away from the road which is good for a pub on Ecclesall Road. Expect upmarket dining and drinks and you'll be happy with what you get. There's a largish private car park which gets quite full.

Went for Sunday lunch- gravy was cool, Yorkshire puds were hard, some of the peas were frozen- and asked for well done meat but it was rare. And to add the glass given to one of my guests had lipstick on it … we went to another pub for pudding! AVOID.

First time. We live quite close, in Whirlow. We like to eat earlier than most, which is clearly possible. We had delayed consideration if our wedding anniversary since we had hosted a family event at the time. Friends had recommended you. Booked the night before. I mostly had specials, my wife was a bit more eclectic. We both had pan fried halibut for main. We enjoyed the lot. Service was great and quick.

Went for the Wine & Dine Experience for my partners birthday. Thoroughly disappointed with the food and service. Some parts of our dishes were cold, we waited far too long between courses, the steak and chips tasted frozen which was really disappointing for a £100 meal. My glass had lipstick on. We were asked how food was far too long into the dish to really rectify anything. We were seated away from the rest of the restaurant which we enjoyed as we did request this. The Cloudy Nine wine was lovely, although the waiter did spill it over the table when pouring and kind of left it without offering to clean up. Scallops dish mediocre and tasted oily like the smell of frying pans? Steak very disappointing, tough, tasted frozen. Mushroom and shallots cold. My partners steak was overdone. Dessert was OK - can’t really get a brownie and ice cream wrong, although our plates weren’t taken away until we approached the bar to ask for the bill. Wouldn’t recommend for a special occasion, but would probably be okay for mid week pub food. I think I may have misunderstood the type of restaurant I was booking with for a self acclaimed ‘experience’.

We visited to celebrate a birthday and the seven of us were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and very accommodating and the food was delicious, we ordered 5 different dishes, two of us chose the same risotto and everyone said how good their food was. The Prince of Wales never disappoints it is consistently superb.

Went Valentine's day. The food was absolutely amazing cooked to perfection.The scallops were delicious and the Chateaubriand was cooked to the most amazing standard.Absolutley amazing all round and amazing service. Fabulous offer and loved the Moet which was included in the upgrade. Finished with a great pornstar cocktail. My husband and I enjoyed a perfect valentines meal and even had lovely seats by the fire. Wonderful place. Served by Millie who was very professional with a lovley sense of humour. Very knowledgeable too regarding the menu choices and happy to be working on valentines evening, even with a bit of banter. Flawless service. Always clean and a friendly place to visit highly reccomend.

We attended on the 17.02.24 to celebrate an 80th birthday within the family. This was a party of 11 people and sadly we all found the food to be of poor quality. My fish was tasteless, the chips were frozen chips, my husband had the beef pie which had lots of gristle in it. My niece and nephew had the 'dirty burgers' which they did not enjoy. They resembled shop bought burgers and certainly weren't home made. My husband (an ex-chef himself) voiced our displeasure to our server, but other than him looking flustered, no one came to speak to us about this. I could go on, but I think you get the gist of our experience. Mrs Hodgkinson

Great spot for a roast - I met some family here for a celebratory meal after passing some exams. Our waitress, Millie, was excellent - very attentive and friendly. The pub itself has a nice interior and a good wine list. Great to be back in Sheffield!

Nice venue with attractive furnishing and space to enjoy a coffee with a friend. Music through the speakers next to the table was a bit too loud for my preference but I didn’t ask if it could be turned down. Coffee was good but we had to follow up when it didn’t appear after 20 minutes of ordering. Would go again, hopefully service is usually faster.

My birthday do leaving my 50s behind! Family and friends. Staff were were great in making it a very memorable day in great surroundings! Pizza's well recomended! Would definitely recommend, loved it! Com.
