Tried here for lunch with work colleagues. Welcomed very nice by the waiter and placed at our table. The restaurant felt really cold inside and not comfortable enough to take our coats off. Pie was nice but served on top of cold mash. Very average.

Great pies!! I had the venison pie and was great. I was pleasantly surprised on how they came out as well. Pie and a beer. Simple, but effective at a reasonable cost.

If you want to eat some traditional British food, try something different every now and then. I like their homemade meat pies, including beef and kidney pies, chicken pies, beef pies, various snacks, and fried pork rinds with beer. Recommended if you want to have a light meal, this place is perfect for a small gathering.

Popped in on a Friday night without a reservation and was seated and attended to quickly. Service (Grant & Jack) was efficient and friendly. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Pies were filling, gravy was great. Rose wine was good. Proper Diet Coke (none of the draft rubbish). Apple crumble pot was amazing (apparently) - my son didn’t share with me. Overall, a happy eating experience.

So the food was bang on apart from the mushroom calamari with was incredibly salty which interestingly was its only taste. The table we were sat on was gross it was that sticky I actually had to peal my forearm off the table. Jack brought our food over but in the time we waited not only did I not see him clean a table that people had left (it was quiet) I didn’t see him wash his hands at all before serving our food which is quite gross. There was no follow up service wise and he removed the service fee claiming it goes to management whilst he expected a tip himself. Quite an unusual experience, it’s clear training is needed to improve the general standard!

Horrendous is the only word that comes to mind. I ordered online from here and got it delivered so I appreciate it won’t be the same quality as sitting in however it also shouldn’t be as bad as it was. I got the moo and blue pie, mash, minty peas and extra gravy. The pie had more carrots than meat. The mash was a literal spoonful, the peas the same. Peas tasted ok, pie was average- needed more meat which is what you’re paying for, the mash… watery, tasteless and reminded me of school dinners. The gravy cost an extra £3 (I assume for one tub as I wasn’t sure if it came with a pot already) one tub didn’t even cover the miniature mash and peas never mind the pie. Truly feel robbed, still starving, not happy at all.

The restaurant is nice and modern but I was a bit disappointed with the pie. I ordered the beef pie with red wine gravy and I thought it was really quite bland. They also put the pie on top of the mash which is a bit inconvenient as your scraping around trying to find the mash. The honey mustard cocktail sausages were also rather bland. We could taste the honey but not really the mustard. Lastly we arrived approximately 6pm and they had run out of the Sunday dinner option? Which was the main reason we went. The pork cracking was lovely and the staff who served us were really nice and polite. I would try here again but a different pie.

We came here for bottomless brunch before a Liam Gallagher gig and I'd say it's one of the best Bottomless Brunches we've been to! They came and took our order straight away and both the food and drinks were quick to arrive but great quality too. I've been to a few brunches where the cocktails aren't great or they take ages to slow down your drinking but this was fantastic. Before we'd even finished the first drink our server came over and said "Can I get you guys a top up?", we had 7 drinks EACH in 2 hours. The atmosphere was great, even though the drinks flow quickly it wasn't your usual 'Hen Doo/Stag Doo being sick in the ice bucket' type of brunch place! Lots of couples and mates just having great food and a good time. The pie and mash was incredible, would definitely come back!

Colleagues from the local office took us there, pies in many variations. Every once in a while I try these pies just to rediscover I don't like them. Pastry might be practical packaging, but not tasty, for me at least. Just two members of staff running the place, just one serving customers and the other making the food Customers being turned away even though tables were still available. The pie was great, the peas from the bottom of the pan. Whoever runs this place needs to be aware that having one person serving especially when there's a concert on at the city hall is not on at all.....and they have an anti- slavery policy!!!! Pies are okay and the mash is not bad but the 'crispy onions' were so stale it spoilt everything. Every mouthful was unpleasantly chewy. When we pointed it out they gave us the bill and still charged for the awful 'crispy onions'. I am sure this isn't the case every time but it's a shame they don't pay attention to the details. If they hadn't charged us for the stale onions we probably would have tried it again but as they couldn't really care less we will give it a miss in future.

From the offset, staff were taking our drinks orders as we sat, and our food (which was generous and yummy) arrived quickly. The service was amazing, we were never with an empty glass. The martinis were to die for, and the bartenders were tirelessly shaking away to make the best hand made martinis we’d ever had. A special shout out to Jack and Jahan for being such great waiters, and making sure we were well taken care of. Two of us went here on a Friday night, we were a little late in to Sheffield for a show at the city hall and with a little over an hour to spare before the show started at 8 we didn't think we would have time to get food from a bar or restaurant and we fancied sit down so we figured the pie shop would be a reasonably quick solution. Anyway to cut a long story short it took 40 minutes to come out. One pie mash and one pie n chips both with peas. The pies were decent and so they should be being a pie shop, and maybe it's a northern thing but the gravy was terrible so wishy washy, no body, subtle flavour at best and the consistency of water the polar opposite to a rich thick and tasty gravy I was expecting, thank the lord they had Henderson's relish. Possibly I was expecting too much that the pies would not take long to come out and we're in fact being prepared fresh in the kitchen but the gravy was inexcusable. It should, in my opinion be as tasty as the pie. Sorry but it's a -1 out of 5 for the gravy from me, hopefully this was a one off, something I can't confirm as I haven't been back. The pie was tasty enough.

Visited for a works Christmas meal in a party of 9 on our lunch hour. The coke tasted like chemicals and were frothy - think they may have cleaned the lines. We had preordered our meals but took 40 mins for them to come. When they came they were not festive feasts as we ordered so they went back and returned 15 mins later. One starter was forgotten. The mash was freezing and the topping was rubbish for the £4.50. They offered to remake but by that time we were already late back. One of our party had his reheated and ended up becoming ill later on in the afternoon. We ended up not paying and leaving. I’m glad I left mine! The filling looked poor anyway. The staff seemed to avoid the table just muttering a sorry on our way out. Wanted to go here for ages but won’t be going back now!

Waited over an hr for food! Visited 19.11.2023, Sheffield Division Street for 3ppl & arrived 1pm for a 1.30pm bkg & were seated earlier which was great, however incredibly slow service from start to finish. Waitress took nearly 15+ mins to take the drinks order & failed to warn us no festive pies left, so we needed extra time to think. Waitress returned & took order at 1.30, but shortly returned to check my drink order. At approx 2.05 pm we were beginning to get hungry & the waitress gave a panicked look when I chased it. She apologised for not putting the order through. Food finally arrived about 2.45. When I asked for the bill the waitress brought it & that was that.

Waited over an hour for our food! Had a booking for 3 people at 1.30 pm but 1 of our party arrived at 1 pm & was seated at our table, given a menu & received their drink. We arrived not long after & were given a menu. The waitress came to take our order; we had wanted festive pies but she hadn't pre-warned us there was only the vegan one remaining. Most restaurants tend to give you this information up-front when seated, which saves time for both the customers & the restaurant, i.e., for table turnaround time. We told her we'd need more time & just ordered drinks. She came back shortly after to check she'd taken my drink order correctly. The first of our party to arrive had almost finished their drink before ours eventually arrived nearly 30 mins later! Which is when we finally got our food order taken at 1.30. It got to approximately 2.05 pm & we were starting to wonder where our food was, especially as many other customers that arrived after us received their food before us. We'd been before & had a good experience, & assumed the delay was due to it being much busier than our previous visit, At 2.20 pm I asked the waitress how long our food was likely to be & she gave a slight panicked look & said something along the lines of "oh that's not good," to which I replied "we've been waiting nearly an hour, & no it isn't." She said she'd check with the kitchen & when she returned apologized for failing to put the order through. She assured us we'd be the next table to get our food. The food then arrived within 10-15 mins with another apology but felt slightly insincere. The star rating is for the food alone, the service gets 0. Particularly seeing as the waitress walked past our table (right near the till) multiple times between 1.30 - 2.20 pm & didn't think to question where our food was, did we need more drinks, or did we need the bill. She didn't appear to have a clue about what was going on with regard to our table in her section. We didn't get asked if our food ok, which you'd at least imagine the waitress doing so especially with the cock-up and all. A little while after finishing our food we asked for the bill because we'd wasted enough time; my brother had come to visit from another city & we'd hope to do other things. The waitress brought the bill & that was that, no further apology, no query about whether our meal was ok, or whether or not we'd wanted anything else. I think if any situation automatically warrants a good-will gesture of some kind then look no further than ours. So disappointed, from start to finish in fact. Having worked in hospitality & catering this experience is so embarrassing, in that Pieminister could simply not be bothered!

Staff were friendly and good vegetarian options for pies. The espresso martini tickled the tonsils nicely.

Was lovely, had the Moo Moo pie which is steak, went for the Sunday roast deal with stuffing. But a lovely welcoming environment and however some staff struggle to crack a smile. But the food- can’t fault it. Amazing for the pie lovers.

Really nice coffee, happy for you to sit and work for a couple of hours. There’s comfy seats, plugs and wifi, very helpful staff!

Advertises it will be showing the Formula 1 races, even checked with the bar staff when we got there. Reality was they put it on some of the small screens and you have to watch it with football commentary blasting out. At least be honest about the experience customers are going to get and stop advertising what you are not going to deliver. Would have gone elsewhere if we were properly told.
