We came for the all you can eat breakfast which was lovely , even included Yorkshire puddings ! Unlimited tea and coffee , friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere

Another lovely, hot, fresh carvery lunch at this brilliant family friendly pub. We've had the carvery each time and cannot find fault with the quality. The food is always hot and the Yorkshire puddings are large and crispy. Highly recommended 5/5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Lovely carvery. Good choice of meat and vegetables. Could have been a bit hotter. We found the lighting a bit gloomy. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Came with my Nan and we both had the ultimate chicken combo and it was lovely! A decent size portion too, couldn’t fit it all in as it was that big. Would definitely come again and would recommend!

I had farmhouse fish sausage and Scampi it was terrible battered fish was burnt sausage was rock hard only thing worth having was the curry sauce dry slice of bread not fit to eat.

The food was amazing and very high quality. I was shocked at the low price for what we had! The staff were so friendly and it was so clean.

Came for a birthday meal with my family. Food was lovely and service even better. Gabby was super helpful and checked everything was okay and Bailey behind the bar was able to answer all our questions and made sure our order was spot on!!

Came here for our first time. Nat took us to our table, having just told us the carvery had just ended. I was gutted. I’d fancied one all week. I said ok I’ll order from the menu. But then Adam the chef came over to us at our table and said there’s not much left, but he’ll hold off clearing it away if I want it. Went to look what was left. Plenty for what I wanted. I instantly fell in love with Adam. I got my carvery after all. Even hubby decided to enjoy a carvery too. It was stunning. Ty guys. Tracy and Paul.

Can’t fault service, ordered through app and drinks delivered quickly. Had the carvery so cannot comment on speed of food. Few black potatoes from the carvery which was a little off putting. Otherwise can’t fault the carvery, was warm, plenty of options and tasty. The man doing the carving was very polite and even gave me an extra yorkie because the one he gave me was in his words ‘a disappointment and too small’

Naomi was amazing server. She always checked in on us and made my son very happy by chatting away with him and making a special ice cream which he was very excited for. All food was amazing, quick service at the bar and quick to make sure our table was cleared. Thank you very much for an excellent experience ❤️

Always love eating here, great value food. Also with a blue light discount it is even better! 🤣 friendly staff and everyone that visits waits their turn patiently at the carvery. We have vegetables as we don't eat meat, plenty of selection and the yorkshire are ace!!

They have no take. Blue light discount off Sundays which I could cope with if I didn’t have to que. up for 20 mins on the bar to order then 25 mins in the Quentin wait for a very undervalued carvery! Very poor experience and avoid this pub on a Sun afternoon! It’s didn’t help by making the take away dishes over the paying people at the pub - need to re think the process. Ps just get more staff on!

Just a typical pub menu and carvery which most of the family had plenty to eat and they all enjoyed it and how good it was.i had steak and ale pie filling was plentiful and very good.variable menu pay at the bar join the queue away you go.

Went to a physic night tonight raising funds for Macmillan cancer. Well organised event hosted by Gabby and Naomi . The medium Adrian DObson was very funny and quite accurate in his message's. He brought several people to tears ,for good reasons. We had a lovely fresh carvery and had a splurge with cake ! Would recommend the let's get the party started xx

Appalled to say the least. Made a booking for father's day weeks in advance only to have a call 3hrs before the booking to say they were running out of food and I should go elsewhere. 3hrs before.... Absolutely destroyed not only a special surprise family meal but also made it impossible to get a booking elsewhere at such short notice. I have loved going here for years but this has put me right off going here again. I still cannot believe this and still in shock. If I could give 0 stars I would have. Extremely poor service. After discussing with Gabriella we were offered £25 voucher to use. Yes it's great trying to work it out but I don't think a £25 voucher really cuts it. We will be giving it 1 last shot as we visit in middle of July for my daughters birthday and if anything is a miss then that will be the end of it for us after visiting here for over 20yrs.

My self and my family have used this place many times in the past for either lunch or special occasions. We called in today for lunch and I think someone has taken their eye off the ball because it was definitely not up to the usual standard. I had Gammon, eggs, chips and peas. The gammon was the let down being cooked long enough to dry it out and excessively burn it on one side to the extent that it was almost impossible to cut completely through it with a steak knife. The area where we sat was also quite tatty, which is surprising considering the number of times that the staff must see it. I cannot download photos so I would describe the bench seats as scruffy, ripped/torn in numerous places.

Always been ok at this chain of pubs. Service is fine. I can do without background music but it wasn’t high volume so was ok. I ordered gammon, which arrived promptly. Portion was a little smaller than I expected, but not teeny. Chips and gammon were both quite dry, however… could have done with another ring of pineapple to help it go down. All in all, not bad, filled a hole while I was waiting for someone. Disabled parking close to entrance, unlike The Walnut Tree near Wakefield!

We had a meal here a few weeks ago which was really pleasant however after booking a table for 17 people which included multiple children for our most recent visit we were told that we would not be able to order a carvery due to them not having enough meat for individuals that may want it later on the day. The main issue of this is the fact that they knew in advance how many people there would be but still did not ensure that it would be possible for us to have a carvery meal. Many individuals in our party were bitterly disappointed due to the fact the quality of the meal we had last time was the main catalyst of us choosing this place as a venue for a birthday meal.

Visited Mon 3rd of June 2024 at 5pm,the service was excellent, whenever BOB is on duty the food is tidy,fresh looking,and the service is great and service with a smile,he's a credit to the pub,excellent customer service by everyone. See you again soon.

Service really slow had to wait nearly 1 hour for food. Staff didn't have allergen knowledge of items on menu.

A good place for kids and the food is decent. Almost every carvery I have been to let's you go back for extra veg, this is a HUGE selling point for Toby Carvery. Here this is not allowed and strictly enforced by the staff. Very disappointed and will visit a Toby instead in the future

The breakfast buffet is fantastic, very well cooked and well presented, place is massive, very clean and the staff are ultra friendly!! Not sure of the drinks prices but I shall be investigating thoroughly soon.

Been here many times before, but today definitely deserved a 5 star reveiw!! The food was amazing hot fresh and quick. The staff was brilliant, one lady made it extra special talking to the children and making them feel really welcome, she was called naomi I think her badge said… she went above and beyond for us and made our visit the best! Nothing was too much trouble for her. Will be back again very soon 🙏

Lovely pub but the food was the worst food I've ever had. I would never eat here again told the staff I was unhappy and they said nothing and just shrugged there shoulders.
