Great atmosphere, friendly staff

Went last night to an engagement party. The drinks were good, the staff were very friendly and the pub in general was great. Buffet's can be 50/50 but this 1 was the business. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and I'll be going back soon.

Went to this quint looking public house and was greeted with such outrageous attitude on arrival. we asked to share a carvery plate with our 3 year old, and was told he "would charge double if he caught us eating from each others plate". we promptly left. would not recommend as a family venue! my friend was forced to pay for a 3 drinks and a meal he didn't receive.

Only open Wednesday Friday and Weekend for food

Proof that community pubs can thrive. Absolutely banging when I spent an afternoon there for an engagement do. I can't fault it: the vibe, the selection of drinks and service.

Lovely pub serving delicious pizzas and an excellent Sunday carvery. The service was fantastic with Stuart being especially attentive and accommodating to our needs. As a vegan you often find that your only option is chips but that wasn't the case at all and I was delighted.

Fab friendly service, scrumptious food and a lovely atmosphere…the owners and staff can’t do enough to make your visit a lovely, enjoyable experience. Always a great atmosphere in Minnie's. Great selection of drinks and I've never been disappointed by the food here. Sunday lunches are amazing, just make sure you book. They have entertainment on occasion, and always make you feel welcome. We always end up stopping for a few more drinks than we've planned.

Had a wonderful carvery last Sunday with my girlfriend and two aunties. We all enjoyed it immensely and will definitely be back.

Went for the Mexican street food which is on Friday night. Good selection for both meat eaters and vegetarian/vegan. The food was really tasty and not too spicy (though you can add spicy sauce and jalapeños if you like it spicier). Good value for money and would definitely go back. Fast and friendly service too!

A very good bar, even has sandwiches, which was a pleasant surprise, wish I could go more, as its highly recommended

Lovely fresh made Pizza offer on Wednesday night garlic bread of your choice, two pizzas , and dessert Pizza of your choosing , will definitely go back and Sundays dinners are supposed to be excellent 👍 👍👍

Dissapointing sunday carvery with the only positive being the friendly staff and meat was tender. We ordered extra pigs and blankets- ROCK HARD. Friendly waiter took them off the bill and apologised. Not homecooked flavours tasted more like a cheap toby carvery which if I was paying Toby prices i'd have been happy but for £12.50 it was very dissapointing.

Delicious Yorkshire Pudding wrap which contained all 3 meats beef, pork and turkey from the carvery and they were all tasty. Roast potatoes on the side with gravy this is a perfect Sunday treat. Great pub with lovely views and friendly staff. 👏👏

Friendly service, fairly priced.

Even though it was busy,we were greeted promptly and shown to our reserved table,and took our drinks order,and when they arrived,took our food order...we all chose carvery. PLENTY of veg choice,and along with the meat,all very tasty. Even though we were full,couldn,t resist ordering desert. My hubby chose syrup sponge and custard(VERY tasty) and I chose cheesecake of the day. Once again, DELICIOUS. Service was EXCELLENT

Very nice food & place attentive owner/ landlord's made to feel very welcome :) My first visit was only spoiled by a nasty old bag making derogatory comments about how much food (vegetables) I was putting on my my plate.

1st visit for a Sunday carvery and certainly won't be the last. Service was impeccable and the food was excellent. We were served by Sarah who was on top form from the moment we arrived until we left. Great food and drink and fantastic views over the Peak District means we will definitely be visiting again.

Had a walk up and tried Toms Pizzas last night whilst sat out back. Thanks to everyone involved in providing such a great service for the village. Its nice to be able to sit out in the sun, kids can play in the play area and parents can relax with them safely in view and a drink in hand.

Fab and very reasonable "help yourself" carvery and friendly staff were just the job after a long walk though the Loxley valley. Appreciated the dad jokes as well.

Brilliant night out! Tried the quiz, £1 a go, it's challenging but fun. There's food - lamb bhuna tonight, home made to boot, AND after the quiz there's Bingo, £1 a go. Hawaii 50 "buck em Danno" is a theme

Tom and his crew run a smashing local pub. Set high up in Stannington surrounded by views of both earth and sky. Worth a visit.

Just had a Sunday roast here, the food and service were spot on, and it’s good value for money.

Tried a selection of pizzas tonight with the family and they were all delicious especially the cheesy garlic bread. My favourite was chestnut mushroom and prosciutto ham. Will definitely be trying them again. Thankyou all at Minnie's.

Quite possibly the friendliest and most helpful staff and landlord I’ve ever met in my life. Pub is very clean with a great selection of drinks and activities each night. Haven’t tried the food yet but if it’s even half as good as the service then it will be excellent!

Went for a family birthday, excellent atmosphere, good food put on for everyone, even though it was a childrens birthday party, plenty of parking, & a decent sized play area for the kids, with excellent views & scenery across the countryside, I would always go there again.

Absolutely loving the fish and chips, great deal on Fridays £7.75, could have taken away for £6.75 but the staff are so friendly I had to stay! 10/10 would highly recommend!
