Had a really good night on my last visit, felt welcomed especially by chloe she really is a star, does really good in her work

Brilliant Wednesday night at the Birley! Brilliant service especially from Chloe. Always makes us feel very welcome! Will be visiting again soon.

We went here in September for dinner and would definitely return. The food was hot and cooked perfectly and the service was great. All staff was great with us especially Chloe. A great pub to be in!

Went here with my family, we had a lovely time. food was great. atmosphere was fab. Came here for some lunch we had the tandoori skewers, absolutely amazing food. John was really polite, helpful and catered to all our needs. Deffo will be back again

went just recently for a couple of drinks as i had not been for a bit, staff went above and beyond especially Chloe she couldn't do enough for me, were always smiling and making sure my glass wasn't empty (no wonder i felt a little fresh walking out) i will be back soon. thanks again Chloe xxx

What an amazing time me and my family had, we were out on a birthday tea food was lovely, the staff were lovely, friendly but one particular lady made our day she was so polite, friendly and couldn't help us any more, Thank you Elaine, we will definitely be coming back.

My friend and I went here for the first time, we both had fish chips and peas, got to say it was hot, the fish was excellent batter was good the fish was cooked perfect , and the chips was great and piping hot all in all it was very good, the bar staff was friendly, the assistant manager was asked about sugar content in deserts he was so helpful, definitely go back.

First time visit here to see my brother in law who is a local for his birthday, enjoyed the drink and atmosphere 👍🍺

Good local pub but a lot of trouble with younger people doing drugs landlord's will not bar trouble makers unless just thinks about the takings always trouble

Fantastic Tuesday nights at Brad’s quiz. Staff always welcoming and the new food menu is great! Will definitely be back!

The space of the room and TV are great. The customer service and food on our last visit were very poor. This needs to be addressed immediately, you should be ashamed of yourselves. A giros is about the meat and to produce it with filled plates of salad and abit of meat is not acceptable. We complained and the attitude were disgusting.

What a fantastic night we had for the Birley Golf Society ⛳️ presentation night on 24/02/2024. As the captain for 2023 I'd personally like to thank the whole staff on behalf of the Golf Society. They couldn't do enough for us and worked really hard to keep the drinks flowing. They were all brilliant 👏 I'd like to give a special mention to Brad, the resident DJ, who did 2 fantastic sets singing solo. He was brilliant singing an array of songs from all eras past and present, and then finished the night playing some cracking music. A massive well done 👏 Yours The Birley Golf Society ⛳️

Fantastic pub. Great staff, DJ Brad puts is excellent. You couldn't get a better group of locals. All friendly and welcoming. Always a good night.

Went for a nice afternoon dinner with friends and family. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Ordered the goodfella burger, it's my absolute favourite burger, and it was lovely, well presented, plenty of food on the plate, and presentation was great. Pub is family and kids friendly, as went with nephew, overall, lovely atmosphere.

Christmas Dinner - The food was really lovely, and the staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. We were a little worried that just being two of us on a table near the bar we would be bothered by people passing etc.but wasn’t bad at all! The meal itself was smashing and a quantity larger than I expected!

We came for the quiz and of course that means business. The atmosphere was brilliant, warm friendly and such a good laugh. You can tell they care about the locals and they put a lot of time and effort into that quiz. Excellent. We will be back!!

It's pretty dark and dinghy if I'm honest and a little expensive for the food you get. We also didn't have any napkins or cutlery apart from one knife for the whole table. Neighbouring tables also only had one knife too so overall it was rather ill equipped.

Went to the Birley with family for dinner and had a wonderful time. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming, staff were really friendly, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. It was also quiz night, so there was also lots of fun and games from 7pm until late. Overall, was a really great night, and will look at coming here welt for quiz and food!

Good local, good pint, friendly staff Quiz night Tuesday great fun. Had some very good times over the years here with some very good people.

A chain pub in the Frecheville/Birley area of Sheffield theres an uninviting appearance at times outside with cars park on the grass verge or obstructing the public footpath and obstructing the entrance to to pub, where smokers congregating outside the entrance doors. Inside it had a refurbishment which for some reason reduced the amount of male/ female toilets to one of each, Its very very noisy with sports on several TVs in the ( I use this term loosely) lounge/restaurant room and juke box blasting out in the other room. The food has improved and they seem to do quite a few takeouts, still would i go there for a meal or take my Mum for a mothers day meal probably not there are other better pubs for food and a more quiter pleasant eating environment. The best part of the pub are the staff who are really pleasant and polite.

Great night out, I went with friends for the quiz night. Was a great night of fun and games, staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered did which was really tasty, and didn't take too long to arrive once ordered. Overall, was a great night of fun, well be coming again and making Tuesday night my regular welt quiz nice at The Birley!

Came in for some late breakfast, the place is fresh and clean, the two members of team Josh and Elaine were friendly and professional, fantastic place to be!!

Staff were pleasant but we waited too long (40mins) for first order of the day to be served. They did however give us a compensatory drink.

Nice and clean, could do with having enough produce in the kitchen, ordered loaded surf and turf, no sirloin, so I asked for rump instead, very pleased as it was cooked to perfection, ordered double hunters chicken and mega mixed grill, staff had to come back to us twice about issue with 1 chicken portion left, we had the single hunters chicken and had extra sausage on mixed grill to compensate the chicken

Birley has always been a good pub to me but since new management have taken over they seem to have forgotten all the locals that have kept the place going for many years and on a Friday night I've never seen it so bad it'd not a nice place due to wrong clientel and smells of weed all the time just doesn't give the pub a good vibe need to get rid of this dunno what it's like on a Saturday hopefully much better

Sorry to give one star for my local but we’ve just gone for a family meal here. We’ve not eaten here for many years as the food was very poor. After a recent refurbishment we decided to give it a go, 4 adults 1 child (6). Not many people eating but we thought we’d give it a try, never again! The food took over 30 minutes, would have been longer if I’d not asked where it was (no one else was eating but us, so they really weren’t busy). It eventually turned delivered by the barman I’d asked to check. My mega mixed grill was warm, the sausages were burnt as was the gammon, onion rings nearly cold, my sons meal was the same, the only hot meal was 2 sizzlers which I’m guessing is there signature meal. The staff behind the bar were great but the ‘chef’ I use that word loosely is very bad. We’ll be back drinking as it’s a good local for drinking but we’ll be avoiding the food.

Staff, very good. Hadn't got what I ordered, came out straight away, sorted it out. Had fish finger sandwich, the bread was a little over done, but I was fine with it. Just let them know, as some people don't like it.

Staff really friendly, expecially Michelle! and entertainment was fantastic, brilliant live music and singers created a fun night, drinks reasonably priced. 10 out of 10, will definitely go back with friends.

I find the Birley very dark and it doesn't seem clean sorry but I only pop in to der friends and try to sit outside. On the hoid side they do meals and children are welcome
