I was looking for somewhere for breakfast and this has been mentioned the day before. Decided to give it a go. Plenty of seating and a nice environment. Breakfast was large enough for me. Defiantly worth a try.

We went as a group of 4 and enjoyed our visit. Just one concern, when they were filling the fruit scone tray, the girl knocked the little sign onto the floor. My son picked it up and gave it to her. Horrors when she stuck it back on the tray onto the scones without washing it first.

We arrived just too late for hot lunch but cold options were delicious. Best quiche I've ever had: light as air, fresh and flavoursome! Lovely coleslaw and salad on the side. Superb sausage roll and cheese scones. Quality coffee also. Highly recommended.

This place is a little bleak in Winter with little in the garden centre but the cafe is very pleasant if small. When we visited on a Friday lunchtime the place was virtually full (which is always a good sign) and I chose a bacon and brie toasty which was very good although my accompanying Hot Chocolate was only luke warm- hence the 4 rather than 5 stars.

When they are on it this is a great place to go for meals, snacks and cakes. Let down too often but unavailable menu and closures. Too often they are not doing their usual menu or don’t have food availability. I have also queued and waited patiently only to have it announced to the server before I was served they had stopped serving food before the time they say they stop. Too many let downs and we have gone to more reliable competitors which is a shame as when they are on it, the food and service is excellent

Poor service and mouldy food! Absolutely disgusted to find once I already started eating my sandwich the bread roll was mouldy. When I flagged to staff they seemed ambivalent and begrudgingly refunded me for the sandwich. There didn’t seem to be any care or concern either. Unfortunately this wasn’t the first time I’ve had a poor experience. On the last visit it was out of date juice (which cost £2.50 a carton). Stay away!!!

They just get everything right here. The staff are so lovely and professional, the food is lovely and the cakes even better. A really good menu which is all well priced. They are super dog friendly, usually the sign of a well run place, and it is in a lovely setting. From what I could see all of the food and drinks are locally sourced where possible so another box ticked there as well. Well Done Potting Shed team, you have a new regular customer.

Been a few times recently as we happen to be at the quarry gardens quite a lot. On one occasion we were in a very long queue and in the unfortunate position that although in the queue in good time before the kitchen closed, they decided to stop serving food at the person just in front of us. Thankfully I managed to talk them into making a slice of toast for the kids but I can’t say that was simple. Wasn’t left impressed having stood around waiting for so long to get the front and be told they were stopping food regardless, but hey ho. The guy who bought the food out however was really friendly and lightened to mood for us (thank you lad whoever u are). The next time we arrived to find it shut even earlier so couldn’t eat in at all and left baffled by the strange closing time. The next time we went at an entirely different time of day and managed to get food. We ordered scrambled egg on toast and poached egg on toast. Scrambled egg on toast was lovely. The poached eggs were overdone so unfortunately not the same. I vowed that the next time I go I will have the scrambled instead to save the pain of overcooked yolk. Looked online as I know they’ve been messing about with opening hours, even more so due to hot weather which is understandable, and it said they were open until 4pm and stopping food at 3pm so we factored in stopping here for food and drink at 2:45pm. Arriving we were told they were actually closed but could do a cold drink from the fridge or an iced coffee. It prompted me to ask about an iced chocolate as this was on the old menu (isn’t on the new one), but after a brief moment to think about it, was told they couldn’t do it as they’d need the coffee machine on - how they’d have done the offered iced coffee without a coffee machine I don’t know, but I’ve never made one myself. Opted for a coke and a cold pastry. The pastry was the driest thing I’ve ever eaten. I paid over £6 for the privilege which Is either crazy expensive or I was overcharged. Physically could not eat it and in the bin it went. Had they still been open and it not a swift takeaway I’d have sent it back. This place in my opinion is not as good as it once was (I have reviewed before and been more favourable). The hours are now unpredictable and quality of food varies (if u can get it). I would get it if it was just the heat causing the problem, but I’ve given it a number of goes since change of hands and not on a single occasion have I been impressed. Such a shame as we used to love this place. I only hope it improves one day as we’ve now opted to drive elsewhere down the road to eat / drink which is much more inconvenient than the location of this cafe - this cafe is actually in a nice place and looks lovely. I’m still putting it down to longer than normal teething problems, but the opening hour thing really needs resolving cuz it’s a right pain in the bum. Fingers crossed for you. I really want this place to work out for the owners!! It’s just not doing it for me yet.

This is a lovely cafe, with good quality food but oh so often they stop serving food early and there is a wasted journey. Would be good to clearly state opening hours and kitchen hours so people do not make the trip and find they have to leave for Smith’s up the road again. We have been turned away as much as 80 minutes before closing only to be told no.Three times this month alone so not uncommon. When they are serving food it’s lovely food

We used to visit before the new management, loving their lunches and cakes. We were disappointed to see only one sort of cake on the counter. There were no plain or fruit scones available, only cheese ones. (This wasn’t late in the day, it was just past 1pm). The toast we ordered was barely coloured and the coconut and raspberry cake was very dry. Coffee was nice. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be returning…..we miss the lemon and blueberry cake too much!

I cannot believe that Mrs Bee’s Potting Shed Cafe has been open for three years and I have only just paid it a visit. A fabulous place for refreshments at Russell’s Garden Centre in Coventry. The staff are amazing, so friendly, helpful, efficient and have time to talk to their customers even if they are busy - and they were certainly busy today. It is difficult to choose what to have to eat as there are so many mouth-watering choices but suffice to say that all are home- made daily (cakes, breads, chutney) so we settled for scones served with jam and clotted cream - they were divine, served hot with a generous amount of jam and cream. The latte and cappuccino were also delicious and the toasted tea cake contained fresh peel and cinnamon. I will certainly be returning and will work my way through the cakes on offer. I was also told that if there is a particular cake that I would like then just let them know and, if possible, they will bake it. What more can one ask for? A real gem of a place, and I cannot wait to return.

We have visited this Cafe a number of times over the years, but under the present management it has gone from strength to strength. it is now a delightful small restaurant. Our last visit was for breakfast and I do like their idea of building your own breakfast, each item separately priced so you just choose what you want. The staff were friendly and helpful and when our food came it was well cooked and very tasty. I can also recommend their Coffee cake for a different time of the day! I was most impressed that after settling our bill and leaving I was called back as they had realised they had overcharged me and wanted to repay me the difference. Very pleasing in this day & age.

I visit here almost weekly. It is situated in the vicinity of a garden centre, near a quarry gardens where kids hide and find rocks. Whilst rock hunting, this place is a welcome break for a drink and snack. The prices aren’t the cheapest, but the food is good. My child tends to have scrambled egg on toast and never leaves any. The slices of cake are huge!! I struggle to finish a slice of the lemon and blueberry cake, but it is delicious. I could share a scone! The iced hot chocolate is really nice, but drank very quickly. Could do with it being double the size baring in mind the glass is filled with ice. Hot drinks are good and they do decaf cappuccinos, etc. You can buy a little colouring set for £1 to charity at the till if u need to entertain ur child whilst waiting. There are tables outside and inside, but not too many of them. We haven’t struggled for a seat yet though. Sometimes it’s far too hot outside when the sun is out. There are covers but they do still let sun in. We play musical chairs to avoid the sun (not literally). I have a couple of times been overcharged, so I do now ask for a receipt but generally fine. When it was mentioned to staff there was no qualms in getting a refund. Baring in mind the amount of times I’ve been, a couple of times is in my opinion, reasonable. The staff are really lovely.

Found this wonderful eatery (Café is too small a word) by chance, we had taken my good lady's car for a service locally, and Googled nearby place s for lunch, and so glad we did! The setting is within a Garden Centre, so lots of greenery abounds, choice of inside or outside seating, the weather was glorious so we chose to take in the last of the Indian summer, the quality of the fayre on offer is matched perfectly by the service provided, if only all lunches were as pleasant as this was! We opted for the ploughman with both ham (carved off the bone) and cheese, with the added bonus of the tastiest chutney I have had in a very long time (no wonder the recipe is closely guarded) and the portions are very generous, seating was comfy, so no need to ask if we shall return - and soon! A large factor when choosing to return was the3 way we were treated, we came as strangers, but left as friends. Continued Success to Mrs Bees..........excellent.

Came here after reading the great reviews it had and unfortunately we left feeling a little disappointed. Staff were friendly, but the food took quite a while and when it arrived it wasn't quite as we ordered (seems our order may have been forgotten by the kitchen staff as people who arrived and ordered after us had almost finished their lunches by the time we got ours...)

Could not recommend this place more. Food is fantastic and the tea is even better. Remarkable service that is very accomadating and the menu is flexible depending on what you have. Have visited twice and both times and left incredibly satisfied.

We love visiting Mrs Bee's, everything from the scones, to the coleslaw to the cakes is made from scratch. Love tea and home made cakes in the winter and ice cream in the summer. Never leave disappointed.

Visitamos hoy y tenía un desayuno/almuerzo, que era excelente, todo muy bien preparado un bien servido. El servicio era muy amable y servicial. La comida es muy tentador, con pastel de bonito y crema italiana de hielo.

My first visit to this cafe is definitely a huge disappointment. I ordered a full English breakfast . By the time it came , tomatoes , black pudding were all missing . I asked to replace bacon with mushrooms then realised that mushroom could be added on as an optional . Plus the sausage were so tiny ..... I don't think I would be coming back anytime soon .

Very nice food at a cheap price. Recommend the jacket potato or the English breakfast

A lovely setting, the food (we had afternoon tea, which has to be pre-booked) was delicious and the amount was perfect. The team were attentive but not overbearing.
