A great family venue with meals for all in our family. Gluten free, veggie and meat eaters all satisfied with their meals. Served quickly by helpful and friendly staff. Mid range prices. Wide range of drinks. Was a bit noisy but we still enjoyed ourselves. Lose a star as the tables were unclean and the carpets were in need of a good carpet shampoo!

Not the best breakfast that I’ve had the black pudding was over cooked and the eggs weren’t great but otherwise a quick good breakfast.

Always excellent curry and staff are brilliant. Been visiting regularly for years and never disappointed.

On way back from Cornwall we visited on Sunday night 17th Sept for dinner, and Monday 18 for breakfast. We both had a tasty veggie chilli with a pint and a wine, total cost £17.94, and two veggie breakfasts with 2 coffees each total cost£12.88, lovely meals and fantastic value for money. The staff on Sunday night were excellent, and the ladies on Monday morning could not have been more friendly and helpful, also a excellent cook. This is a really well designed pub/restaurant so comfortable and welcoming. We have an excellent Weatherspoon near to us, but this is No 1 so far. The people in Portishead are lucky to have such a nice pub/restaurant in their town.

Had 2 breakfasts in this restaurant. Along with an evening meal, also afternoon drinks. Drinks are so reasonably priced. Food is great quality and well presented. Great price too. Service couldn't be faulted, all the staff were friendly and spoke to you. Great atmosphere, wide range of age groups.

A typical Spoons, a new-build actually and well designed, huge windows to the front and a small seating area outside. We had both afternoon drinks and breakfast the following morning, all good and minimal queueing.

Very busy Wetherspoons in Portishead. Managed to find a table on a Friday evening. Usual Wetherspoons food (love their curries!). Friendly service. App always works well so no queuing at the bar.

I ordered the Abbot, when I could have had Old Thumper. So Tim - the question we all want to know the answer to is this : when you search for real ales on the app, why it is not the same as those that are actually available at the bar?

We went to this restaurant to break up a road trip and to get some dinner. The food quality was quite poor. I had the chicken burger and the chicken was very tough. The burger itself was very basic. However the food was hot and arrived very quickly. Drinks arrived quickly. Staff were friendly. Toilets were clean. The building was really nice.

I came here for my Birthday meal as I love Weatherspoons. I had the mixed grill and my wife had the scampi. Both had cold peas and mine also cold onion rings, so the experience wasn’t great. To add to this the local all day drinker( Every spoons seems to have one), was projecting his voice loudly and no manager was stopping him,All in in a Birthday meal ruined

Table 51 is a round sturdy table. The table has very little wobble which isn’t noticeable unless you try to be a nuisance. Now you may be wondering about the title ‘man spread’. This is because the base of the table is a bit of a chunk and is very uncomfortable to sit with your feet on. Now I love to man spread as much as the next man but this is man spreading to the extreme! As a 6’2” man the base wasn’t nice but my partner had no issues as she only has little stumpy legs. Overall you can’t complain, it was clean and had little wobble, would be 4/5 if it wasn’t for the base.

Weve had a few spoons in our time. And usually basic food and drink not great not bad. Portishead weatherspoons was by far the worst ive been to. The food was cold and messy. The cutlery was disgusting with other peoples food where its not been washed. And when the chap came over with our coffee cups we had to ask for fresh cups they were literally filthy dirty. May i add we are tradesman we eat in all sorts of cafes and not overly fussy. But very dissapointed with our visit here today

Place was warm and plenty of seating. Friendly staff, usual cheap drinks and food options. Good option for breakfast.

Friendly staff despite being rushed off their feet as it was so busy. We had various servers coming to our table so no continuity, which resulted in side salad for one meal arriving as the meal was being finished despite asking four times. Bit of a wait for our meals. The 5 bean chilli was a hit. Two had mixed grills, the meats varied from medium rare to cremated. The creamated meat they guessed was once steak? Puddings came quickly though only 2 out of the 3 had a chocolate sauce on them. For the price it was worth a visit. Will be back hopefully but not before another year passes!

We took the grandparents for some food and overall the experience was great the service was good not the best but certainly not the worse. My partners food was fantastic and tasted great, however the chicken tikka which I had was a bit cold and the chicken just tasted slimy. Was still edible but just wasn’t great. However it’s cheap and cheerful and the staff was good to us.

Dirtiest we've ever been in.from the manager down was a couldn't care less attitude. Was out walking and popped in here to get warm and have a quick drink. After finally find a table we ended up ordering a drink and a couple of jacket potatoes. Wife had tuna mayo and I had cheese and beans. Came out with tuna but no mayo? Nice was covered in lovely cheese and beans. Cooked properly in the oven and not microwave, which was so tasty. We visit this pub regularly for a meal and every visit is always disappointing but I always excuse it. But tonight was particularly bad the table we were sat at was filthy my arms kept sticking to it , it appeared to have not been cleaned all day. I had the lasagna with chips. When it arrived one half of the lasagna was cold and the other half luke warm where it clearly had not been reheated well enough in the microwave and I had precisely 10 chips.and no I didn't complain as I heard what happens with food when it is returned. If I am I'll in the morning I will know why. We won't be going back for a while.

I always had a soft spot for Spoons until I they opened this dump. The last six meals I've had in here have all been half hot and half chilled, which is hardly good food hygene practice. In addition if one seeks to complain one is treated not as a paying customer with a quite ligitimate complaint but The Enemy to be bullied, silenced or ejected. On the night I visited the duty manager was singularly failing to deal with half a dozen customers who had all been served substandard food. At the next table to me I head him admonish a guy old enough to have been his grandfather who complained his food was undercooked that a chicken burger was safe to eat even if one side was 50C and the other almost frozen 4C. Unbelievable, unsafe, rude and unpleasant is probably the best I could say about this dump.

Service ok, asked for salt as non at condiment station.....”yes I’ll see if I can get you some!” Walked straight back to service area. Food ok did find my small blob of chilli jam eventually. Steak and kidney pie nice lump of gristle never did find any kidney. I suppose it is what it is no michellin stars here.

Prices are cheap enough but no one seems to clear the tables or wipe them and children run riot there! Food very mediocre but I guess that’s all you can expect from a Wetherspoon pub.

This is a lovely Wetherspoon's pub. Beautiful layout, lights amazing, outside signage beautiful. However the coffee was not very good. In fact so bad that my friend and I couldnt drink it. We didnt have time to ask for another one as we are travelling somewhere else. No idea what was wrong with it as I have visited over 1,000 Wetherspoons (a lot of which have closed now) and always managed to quite enjoy the coffee.

As an alternative to the bog-standard motorway services I decided to call here en-route from Plymouth to Manchester. I'm glad I did even though I only had a half of Doom Bar (itself not a strong ale) before setting off up the road. This branch appeared clean and well-kept however it is relatively new.

Decided to meet my family here for some food and drinks following their 5 hour trip from North Wales as they wanted something cheap and cheerful to eat. In all honesty the food and drink was really good value and the staff were very pleasant. However, the food and drink can no longer be considered good value when you add the £60 charge (potentially £100) I received a week later for parking in the very end spot directly opposite from 7pm till 10pm which has no obvious sign. I have since found out there is an iPad to enter your reg to get extended parking, something I was completely unaware of as its tucked away right at the end of the bar. I live in Portishead and regularly visit but cannot visit again out of principle knowing you get penalised for spending extended periods of time in the establishment, so a real shame really. I just can't spend my hard earned money here again as long as a company acting on their behalf charges an extortionate amount for parking outside whilst I'm spending considerable amounts of money inside. I wouldn't mind but it was on a Thursday evening outside of peak hours and the car park was practically empty. A 2 hour parking limit for a place that sells food and drink in a small town is a bit of a disgrace in my opinion and it is something they should further address than by just plonking an iPad at the end of the bar with not the most visible signage informing you of its presence and purpose. The response I got from the Posset Cup when calling in and their Head Office when emailing about the situation was also disappointing, with both effectively just fobbing me off.

We visited this place on the way to and from our holiday in Cornwall. On the first visit we arrived at 3pm on a Friday. The meal was for 4 - all day brunch, fish and chips, 8 inch margherita pizza and 8 inch ham and mushroom pizza. All delicious and served promptly. The place was clean, it was easy to find a table and the toilets were immaculate.

OMG - dirty tables, flies, cold undercooked food. Worst breakfast I have had, the food was so cold that we sent it back. After a brief session in the microwave it still came back cold. See photos. It may be cheap but it’s really not worth it

It's a wetherspoons at the end of the day, place could have done with a tidy up, lots of plates left everywhere however food was spot on and service was quick! One of the lighter more moderns spoons I have been in, overall very good!

My partner and i called in recently whilst on a walk around the marina. The drinks were very cheap as with Wetherspoons generally. We ate the BBQ ribs, which were really good and the chicken and bacon salad with roasted vegetables which were also very tasty. For the money this was really good value, if i had any cause for concern it was that there were many tables with dirty plates and glasses that hadn't been cleared away for some time which was a shame as the staff were all helpful and friendly and didn't looked extra busy.

Nice decor and set up, food was spot on for what a spoons should be and overall, nothing to complain about for what the price is. Drinks are cheap and the food is fine.

Unlike several Wetherspoon restaurants, there was good parking facilities on site. The restaurant was clean, and the service top class, friendly polite waitress and the breakfast I had was excellent.

Used the Possett Cup as a venue for the reunion of 40 former and serving MN Officers. Very busy evening, with food and drink being served at very affordable prices Easily found with a large car park close to it.

Enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast with 'bottomless cups' of tea or coffee. Extensive menu to suit all tastes. It is in a fairly new development and is bright and contemporary. Friendly staff and good value for money. Recommend.

Visited the pub on a quiet Monday morning and sat outside around the corner away from the main entrance with our dog. Told we could not have our dog on the premises despite no other customers outside. Poor policy decision and felt unwelcome.

Very disgusted in the way female management told an elderly gentleman with a service dog, which was sat outside not causing any problems, that he had to remove the dog. Being bank holiday the gentleman had no documents on him, he met up with family for some breakfast, whilst speaking to the manager he stated that in the past he’s been allowed to have his service dog on the premises with no issue. She was very rude and kept interrupting the man when he was explaining and telling him that wasn’t their policy. Me and my partner were sat next to the family and heard how rude and degrading she was to this gentleman. I feel it’s absolutely disgusting how this man was treated and left to feel small by someone who clearly has the label of ‘management’ gone to her head. Some common sense and general curtesy would have gone a long way.

Popped in here with hubby and daughter whilst out shopping for a bit of lunch. Very busy for a Monday but it we school holidays so guessing that was the reason. However went to bar to order food and despite a queue there was only one person serving. Put in order for the days special to be told that's yesterday's we not doing that today. Went back to table and hubby and daughter 're choose food. Went back to order queue now even bigger ! Eventually others came to help Barman. I noticed the lady serving appeared to be in charge so mentioned as I was ordering my food that if they were not doing the specials they should take the flyers off the tables as it was misleading, to be told the special is on I only put them out this morning!

Two of us met here for a late morning breakfast - mistake! So many tables were littered with half-eaten breakfasts, dirty cups, serviettes etc that we struggled to find a clear table to sit at. Yes, the place was busy, but staffing levels should be up to the job. Service at the bar was slow (again not enough staff) and the queue at the self service coffee station was depressing...especially when there aren't enough mugs and the milk jugs were empty - I guess that's a result of offering unlimited DIY refills.

Sadly we had a rude member of staff who has put us off revisiting this establishment. Breakfast was ok for price although I’m not sure what they do to their eggs!

It's the best, area for food, snacks and variety of beer and lagers. And the cheapest by far. The quality is good, the surroundings are a little tired and could do with a spruce up, and the staff are great. they work hard, but always friendly.

We had breakfast here today. Unfortunately it was not up to the usual standard. My husband's food was cold and I found a hair in my bacon (not mine). The waiter was fabulous, offering to consult the manager however we did not want to make any fuss so declined his offer. He was so polite and courteous that he made a poor situation much better.

Ordered the Large Breakfast. There was plenty on the plate and at a good price but the food was barely warm. By the time I had eaten half of it the rest was cold. Cold fried eggs ain't good! The waitress was apologetic when I complained. Service was good.

Four of us ordered fish and chips. They arrived promptly cooked to perfection. We asked for malt vinegar but were told 'sorry we have run out'! If I had known that before I ordered I would have ordered something else as fish and chips without vinegar is so dull. The pub is next door to three supermarkets who all sell vinegar. Surely a trip to buy a bottle wouldn't break the bank. Luckily they had tartare sauce so that helped but we used half a bottle of it so that can't be very cost effective! Otherwise, service and value was good as always.

Was enjoying a lovely meal with my friend when we ordered drinks from the app. The member of staff (named George) was so rude it was unbelievable. He didn’t acknowledge us, he didn’t smile, he slammed our drinks on the table, he actually put the wrong drinks in front of us, and just walked off. My friend even said “thank you” and he just walked off. It was like he didn’t want to be in work. And I will say that this isn’t the first time he has been rude. This has to be the worst I’ve experienced. I really hope he is dealt with appropriately, he has ruined a lovely evening with my friend.
