It's a pub. It does exactly what it says,a pub. What a refreshing change. Great service, staff amazing. Great prices super deals on most days.

No food, except crisps or nuts, oh! and pickled eggs 😎. Good old style local, no pool or darts, but locals are always friendly, good choice of real ales, lagers, cider, guiness and wines and spirits. Offers on, most days and music at the weekend.

Was there last night with friends for a few drinks havnt been there for years but will definitely be back more regularly and will definitely recommend to friends drinks where spot on and was the cheapest round we had in westbourne out of 4 places we went to. Staff are super friendly and efficient and timely.

Now I've known this pub for 18 years. Days when "old thumper" was on tap... Visited today ... reminiscing really.. Still patronised by locals ..as i was, after work on a Saturday. Still the Cherries memorabilia.... The difference is the lady behind the bar ....personable..professional...and bloody good at her job ...what a delight...we'll impressed

Great pint of fortyniner had and as it was Monday it was only 2.80 a pint so had a second one great bar staff and friendly warm atmosphere will definitely be back maybe for the quiz night tomorrow.

Called in for pint with the wife on Friday evening. Found a nice table to site at. Was only having the one pint but we found the pub so nice we stayed the whole night great atmosphere with Dj playing fantastic music 🎵 from the 60 ‘ to 2024 great fun. Lovely beer and wife happy with the wine so what more would you want. Sorry to the other pubs in Westbound didn’t get time to visit as having a great time. Good staff working there as well. Keep up the amazing work.

Authentic and traditional English pub. Sharon is a kind and friendly hostess. Good value, wholesome food with a competent chef in a very nice location. Fresh soup very good and well presented.

Traditional boozer. Very good. Pleasant staff. Recommended. No longer do a Sunday roast which is a shame.

If you've ever seen American Werewolf in London, this pub is similar. Locals chatted amongst themselves whilst eyeing the strangers up but the staff served us and as it did Stella...who was I to complain!

great little traditional pub . keeps changing hands. did do food now stopped!!! even did sunday lunch and stopped. so silly people want food. had to write a review though to say will not go in there again last couple of times people at the bar (thought bar stools were no longer) were swearing and using bad language. Certainly not the pub we need in Westbourne!!!!

Fantastic pub! Always a warm welcome from the locals when we visit (we are from out of town) amazing entertainment especially at weekend, always have a good night here. Pleased to see quiz master has changed too :)

This is such a fantastic pub. Whenever we are staying locally we always pop in. Last night there was a DJ/Karaoke night which was fantastic fun. The pub seems to be mostly frequented by locals who are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to return.

Proper authentic pub. We didn't have any food - I don't think it was being served at the time. Good selection of drinks, including zero alcohol. Punters were friendly.

Good selection of beers. Long reverberation time so gets noisy as the alcohol flows. Why do people have to shout at each other and all talk at oncea. In olden days of cause people stood which made hearing easier.

Fantastic pub We popped in for a pint or two and watched some great performers. Playing over the weekend. . :-)

Love this place. Nice little garden space on the back and the most delicious cheesy chippies ever. Met lovely people as well. Definitely would hang around there again. Proper place where you can meet locals and it's the best experience ever.

Enjoyable, good atmosphere, the band was a 3 piece with a very clever percussionist. Beer was good I had Directors. Plenty of gins for my friend to choose from.

Old fashioned local pub which has had a make-over and looks much sharper and cleaner with upgraded facilities. Beer quality has improved in consistency. Very fairly priced beer and extra cheap on Mondays.

Saturday night they had a live music act, singer with a guitar. He was very good. Got lots of people up and dancing. The pub has a great atmosphere. The woman behind the bar worked her socks off, keeping everyone served and everyone happy. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Quite a cross section of customers, and an age range from 18 to 80.

Love this pub. The hosts are excellent. Try the Sunday roasts tasty & great value. Christian & his Mum are a great asset & long may they stay. We will be back. It is a perfect local.

Wow, wow what great value is the Sunday roast!! Food and portion sizes are excellent, and the price is unbeatable!! Friendly service and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone, and looking forward to another one soon.

Four of us were in the Porterhouse today for the Sunday roast. One of us had beef, one chicken, one pork and I had the lamb. All perfect and very generous portions, with four different vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Highly recommended.

Drove down from Essex to see Castro Afro JDing a banging set. Great night, everyone was loving it. Some good beers on tap too. Id go back for couple of pints when im next in the endz.

Really lovely little pub with a great atmosphere. Lovely wine at a great price probably the cheapest in Westbourne. Music is always good. Christian is amazing and works so hard. He was on his own on a busy Saturday afternoon and made sure everyone got served with out having to wait to long. This is definitely one of our favourite local bar.

Beer. Service if i have to get of this stool. Fortunately new management since last visit. Now! good friendly service, good choice of drinks. If you like a good intermate chatty pub you now know where to find one.

A lovely niche place. CAMRA ales aren't my thing but I love the ambiance. Wine is great value, but the draught prices are up and down like a yo-yo. A great little boozer and lovely staff. Cosy, compact, great music, friendly and clean

Since new managers took over three weeks ago, the brewery has decided to hike their prices by 30%, taking what was a good value £3.50 pint up to £4.55. Totally unjustifiable given the quality of the offer: Marston’s and the new management should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I won’t bother in future: the Libertine over the road (also owned by Marston’s!) is cheaper, in better condition and does food as well!

One of the last proper pubs left in westbourne. Fantastic atmespehere and always a good place to dance on a Friday night! Would 10/10 recommend.

Lovely pleasant pub, staff were very welcoming.

We have been coming to this pub for many years. It goes up and down in terms of service and atmosphere but it’s definitely back to being at its best. Friendly staff, good prices for beer and Prosecco (can’t speak for other drinks!) and it’s great on a Friday night, when there’s live music, definitely suits us middle aged drinkers who like to sing along or to get up and dance.

If you like your beers the old fashioned way this is the place to go. Always a good atmosphere and always a good selection of guest beers

Just recently refurbished nice choice of beers, quiz night every Tuesday.

Proper old fashioned pub with reasonably priced selection of Ringwood ales and good selection of lagers. Thankfully no Muzak or TV screens. Lunchtime hot meals service. Mature and relaxed clientele.

I regularly travel down from the North West and find myself feeling right at home at this place! A truly wonderful, authentic pub that is run by some excellent staff. The choice of real Ales is just spot on for a relaxing evening in a truly welcoming environment. This place isn't to be missed and I urge anybody passing through this area to go and experience something that is of a dying breed! Long live real pubs like this one!

The pub does not sell Old Thumper!! it used to be called the Old Thumper and the Ale which was loved by its' regulars, they need to sell it again.

How could anybody NOT like this place? Dawn and Megan are really nice, the beer is always first class, the service is always 100%, the whole pub is a real proper fun pub and they never forget my RazorBack and Forty Niner every Friday ! It's a brilliant place and I hope they stay there for many years!
