The Plough Inn in Stratford-on-Avon

This is a nailed on 5 star from me and hubby. We've eaten here several times now and always come away full and happy. The selection of meals is great - even on a Sunday you can choose roast or something different which suits us as I like a roast dinner but hubby isn't so keen. The staff are lovely and welcoming, the beer's good and the pub has a fabulous atmosphere.

In Warmington and noticed the Plough is open again, last time I was here it was all boarded up.

Delicious Sunday lunch for the three of us - excellent service with a lovely atmosphere. The beef bourguignon was melt in the mouth with the lasagne and the duck breast looked equally superb. I highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed!

A lovely pub with lovely landlords. The food is great pub grub, especially the pizza. Super friendly locals, gorgeous character beams and a big log burner. The pub garden gets the sun all day/evening long in the summer too! I’ll be back for sure.

Amazing food and lovely waitress, we came for a very relaxed pre-wedding meal for my mum and step dad’s wedding (only a small intimate wedding) for everyone to meet, and the Plough was the perfect place. 😊💙We live just outside of warmington and whenever we get the chance we come here for food, not that we get much chance anymore which is a shame 💔 wish we could visit more as the food is delicious and the pub is so lovely.

Unfortunately we were too late for food but the staff were so friendly suggesting other places close by to eat, we had a look round and it was beautiful, very clean , rustic with a lovely outside space, looking forward eating there very soon

Filthy filthy food - why would you serve kebabs in the wonderful English countryside. Especially given the pub is in the middle of nowhere, you wouldn’t give it a second chance. Kebabs on the menu with flat rubbish beer. Views and walks where around where cracking. Bring a packed lunch and some tins.

First time at The Plough for a girls night out. Wonderful welcome on a very cold evening. Food and service was outstanding! Will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Excellent service, lovely roast and atmosphere.

Visited with a friend last evening and thoroughly enjoyed the best fish pie ever, served with a medley of perfectly cooked green vegetables. Portions are plentiful, piping hot and incredibly flavoursome. Vibrant atmosphere here with friendly, fun, lovely crew. Well worth a visit for wholesome well cooked affordable food.

We booked this jewel of a pub for dinner with friends. The chef catered for 28 of us. The food was incredible and endless the hospitality friendly and fun and the pub had a wonderful ambiance, with up to date comforts whilst still retaining its oldy worldly charm. I would definitely recommend a visit. We have not stumbled upon such a delightful pub for a long time.

Very friendly staff and customers

We went for lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday - only to be told "We don't do lunches in the week." "That's not what it says on your website!" I said. "Oh that must be the previous owners" said the young man at the bar. When I said that the website is misleading, the barman told me that they can't take it down. No apology, no invitation to come back on a day when they are serving lunches - very poor customer service.

The food is great! It's really cosy inside and has a big space outside.

A lovely old village pub that’s worth the visit.

Been for a drink a few times. Lovely pub. restricted parking as no car park but just a sign of it's popularity, especially on a Friday night when I've always found it to be buzzing.

Brilliant food and the staff were fantastic. They made us feel like regulars. I would thoroughly recommend this pub, the only downside is there is no carpark so parking can be abit difficult.

Enjoyed a drink after a local walk.

12 of us arrived for a pint after a 14 mile walk on BH Sunday. The pub garden was lovely and buzzing. Staff extremely friendly. Pint was delicious! We all paid separately which wasn't a problem. Young staff that know what they are doing. Well done 👏

Lovely pub, had some excellent pizzas and very reasonably priced - especially compared to a lot of pubs in the area. We didn't book and had no problem getting a table in the lovely garden, which is fab in the evening sun. Great friendly service too!

I Came here with my wife and our 5 children and what an amazing experience we had, from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were extremely welcoming! The atmosphere was beautiful and as for the food well if I could give more than 5 stars I would even the children couldn’t complement it enough we will definitely be returning

Family gathering here on a Saturday. What a great location, views to die for, easy parking, great facilities and the decor welcomes you on entry. Perfect, our waitress took care of all our needs plus more. Great service, rarely seen to this standard in a pub. Food was delicious, great choice of wine, beer selection was really good and the table service was spot on. Our waitress, newly retired from another hospitality industry looked after us superbly, She provided that extra special component that makes the day perfect. Thank you. Can’t wait until our next visit.

Booked for 4 of us for Sunday lunch. The pub is a lovely unspoiled building. We were spoken to immediately on entering and taken to our table by the very friendly bar/ restaurant lady who was enthusiastic and attentive throughout our visit. The food was excellent. 2 of us had the pie “stack” and the others had the chicken Sunday lunch. Both were very good. Tasty, hot and plentiful. We had puddings too which were also excellent. Highly recommended

Lovely cute little pub! Staying at the nearby Fir Tree Campsite and took a short stroll to this pub. First of all, they A) have Aperol and B) make a very good Aperol Spritz! 5 stars right there. We had a selection of starters for food, very nice. Friendly staff too! Nice little garden out the back with plenty of seating. Would happily come back!

Lovely country pub friendly staff great food

Came here on a whim with my family. We were greeted straight away by the manager and the bartender/waitress . They were so lovely and helpful throughout our visit. The food menu was varied and delicious, coming out quickly and looking amazing. The manager made me a mojito even though it wasn't on their menu. Lovely atmosphere and decorations in the garden. A perfect visit, exactly what we were looking for on a Saturday lunchtime.

We were driving back home from Birmingham, fancied some lunch, so searched on Google. After reading the reviews, we are glad we came along. Simple, yet delicious food, reasonably priced. Gutted we couldn't have the interesting mini camp fire desert, as we were too full from start and mains. Come along hungry, staff friendly.

Greeted by two lovely ladies who were both friendly and helpful and couldnt do enough to make our visit pleasant.Ordered some chicken bites ,fries and pitta bread with houmos ,all perfectly cooked and hot.Plenty of choice on menu and will definitely return as service was so good .

Fab food, great vibes, well good customer service and all together a really lovely time out.... to put it in perspective, the next day we went to the Falcon as we were at the Fir Tree campsite, and although the Falcon is always good and I want knock it, the atmosphere and Friendliness of the Plough won..

We visited this Sunday afternoon after a nice walk from a neighbouring campsite. The hosts could not have made our visit any better. Camping in the British weather had obviously taken its toll on us and Colin took pity on us and made our afternoon really special and totally restored our faith in humanity. What a lovely pub and even better people. Definitely recommend

We actually moved to Warmington almost two years ago but our first visit to The Plough (which was under different ownership back then) was underwhelming to say the least. It felt very much like ‘a local pub for local people’ with faces turning from the bar to stare at us as we walked in. On top of that the food and drink was nothing to write home about. A few months ago the place was taken over - the decor outside was updated and there was a notable improvement in its social media game. My wife ordered a takeaway pizza from there one night whilst I was away and gave it top marks - generous toppings and freshly baked. We then took the plunge and called in during the day for lunch. We had our baby with us and the barmaid couldn’t have been more welcoming. The food was good, coffee was freshly ground and there was a warm, comfortable atmosphere. When my parents visited a couple of weeks ago we went again and this time had the pies, which were delicious. It’s a tough ask for a pub like this to thrive in a quiet village like Warmington - especially with such monsters as The Falcon just up the road - but the owners seem to be making a good fist of it so far - and the vast improvement in the website and social media channels should see it gain some traction from a greater catchment area. We look forward to visiting again on a more regular basis.

Went to the plough for Mexican night on Monday. Had the best evening, been in the village for a long time and Steve and Colin have really out done themselves. The best atmosphere, warm and welcoming, a delicious feast of food and such value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

A real gem in Warmington, a great warm welcome, an open fire and a great lamb shank, roast pots, Yorkshire pub and delicious fresh vegetables. Great value for money. We will definitely be going to eat there again when we're next up from Kent.

We enjoyed a lovely muddy dog walk from a neighbouring village to try the fabulous pizza we’d heard so much about. We were certainly not disappointed! Thin crispy hand made base with generous topping of pepperoni and chilli was just delicious - washed down with well kept real ale. What more could you wish for on a sunny Saturday? In addition to the fabulous food there’s the fabulous warm welcome from the fabulous staff and landlord. Yes that’s a lot of fabulous - but.it’s warranted. Go see for yourself!

Charming country coltswold pub. Very friendly staff. Full of warmth and character in a pretty village. Had lunch which was mediocre. Soup of the day which was Leek and Potato but powdered and wasn’t mixed properly do lumpy. Friend had pizza which he was pleased with. Would not be put off by this so would return.

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast at the Plough, succulent beef, crispy roast potatoes, really tasty vegetables and good portions. The deserts are to die for especially the apple crumble and custard.The staff are very welcoming and efficient and a good old English pub atmosphere.We Will definitely return.
