The Plough Inn in Test Valley

We haven’t been to Longparish for some time but thought we would give it a try. A lot of work has been put in on the outside and on the in and it really is lovely. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The menu has plenty of options and the portion sizes were good. Fresh, well cooked presented food and the steak was tasty. We will be returning 😊

Great food. We had ham and leek pies which were lovely. The drinks took ages but the food was quick. If the drinks had been served quickly then we would have had another round and a bottle of wine. Not a complaint because we had a great time, but if I was the boss I’d want to know because we could’ve spent a lot more!

First visit, food choice was typically Pub menu, with a specials board, good choices available, our food was very good served in a nice atmosphere, will definitely visit again

Stopped for a quick supper - good homemade food, a couple of pies on the specials menu. A nice layout with separate rooms with several fireplaces with fires burning.

We went here for a Saturday lunch with two families with a toddler and baby. The food was delicious, really good value and came quickly. Very relaxed atmosphere and cosy with a nice fire. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was freshly cooked and lots of local produce. Will definitely be going back.

Met friends here for Sunday Lunch. Food was excellent - beef and lamb were gorgeous. Service was great and the pub was busy but with a great atmosphere. My wife is gluten and dairy free and needs a low histamine meal, which is hard to get in a lot of catering establishments. We contacted the pub earlier in the week to arrange this and they came back very quickly saying they could cater for this. And so they did - a great chicken sunday roast, which was very much appreciated. Thank you so much to all the staff who work so hard in this community owned pub. We will definitely be back.

A great lunch - delicious food, warm service and a cosy atmosphere on a wintry day. We had pies and a burger and chips, vegetables too - a lovely variety of veg cooked just right & excellent portion sizes. Highly recommend

Super Sunday Lunch - This is our third visit to the Plough for Sunday lunch today. The menu is small but this enables them to keep the quality high. I had the Roast Beef and it was exceptional. I asked for it rare and this is how it came. Really crispy roast potatoes. A young team but attentive even though they were very busy. Will be back. Thank you

Excellent food, prompt service and attentive but not overbearing waitresses. I had the cod dish which was very tasty and filling, whilst the other diners both had the chicken burger, which was extremely tender and very big!

We enjoyed a really lovely lunch at this beautiful Inn set in the very pretty village of Longparish. The food is fantastic, as were the hosts who made us feel most welcome. The Inn is beautifully decorated and has a very relaxed atmosphere. 100% recommend, a real gem, will definitely been visiting again soon 😊

Lovely Sunday lunch with friends, great roast dinner, The lamb was beautifully cooked with a nice selection of vegetables and perfect Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes. Dog friendly and even had roast dinners for dogs!! Friendly and efficient service.

A great find. There is a wide choice on the menu and reasonably priced. The pub is beautifully decorated and very cosy, with the two log burners, on a cold winters day. The service was god and veery friendly. The food was delicious. A lovely hot hot chocolate to send the meal. We were not hurried out which was great. Would thoroughly recommend.

Having not been to the Plough for many years (it has changed hands a few times since our last visit), some friends told us it was really worth visiting again. And they were right! Romeo and Jackie were so friendly, the service was excellent, delicious wine and fabulous steak. And cosy woodburners added to the warm, relaxed atmosphere. Thank you! We will be back.

Six of us met for lunch and we all had good meals - fish cake, stroganoff pie and sausages. All came with fresh vegetables. The ingredients were of a good quality. The staff were friendly and efficient. We have been before and equally impressed and will return even though we do not live locally.

A great community pub, run by locals who are committed to providing good food at a reasonable price. The pub itself is welcoming and there’s a lovely log fire- what’s not to like?!! I had fish and chips- cooked to perfection and my husband had burger and chips- the portions were generous and service very good.
