The Plough at Langley in Maidstone

Just came across this place during a drive around the countryside . You know what a place is going to be like from the moment you set foot in the front door. We hadn’t booked (it was Good Friday) and had the warmest of greetings and given a really nice table. A fabulous menu and all the food we ate was delicious. All the service we had whilst in there was friendly, helpful and engaging. A refreshing change from some places we’ve ate in. If you’re in the area or blasting down the M20 it is deffo worth a diversion. Very highly recommended.

Delicious Sunday lunch, this was a last minute booking & they couldn’t do enough to accommodate us, I had the beef whilst my husband had the pork belly. Couldn’t fault anything!

My daughter & I visited for dinner on a Weds evening. We both ordered starters which were tasty and well prepared. We were not disappointed with the mains either. We were quite early so we were the only ones in the restaurant for a while, but stated to fill when we left. All in all a great experience, and when visiting area again we will definitely return.

Very good Sunday Lunch. Food was fine although portions was too large. I prefer a quite area in which to eat so if you are like me ask for a table in the bar rather than the restaurant.

Having popped in for lunch a week before, I was tempted to pop back to The Plough Inn for Valentines Day as their special menu for the day looked good. I booked over the phone and was able to make a meal choice online to assist the kitchen staff, The food and service were excellent and very good value for money. I shall be visiting here again very soon.

I took a group of older peolpe to The Plough for lunch. This was our second visit to Becky and her team and what an absolute delight it was. We pre-ordered our meals and Becky was the perfect host, ensuring everyone had hand written place names with their menu choices. The food was perfection and the servcie 100%. Our group, Inspired Friendships had a wonderful time and we will certainly be returning. Thank you to Becky and the team at The Plough for a really lovely afternoon.

Got a table last minute, was very busy but staff very efficient at serving everyone and were polite and attentive the whole time. Food was excellent value for money, the kids loved watching our desserts being made through the window into the kitchen. Could not rate this place highly enough, keep up the good work.

A disappointing meal. My daughter nearly broke her tooth on a large piece of bone in her chicken burger, when we raised this with the waitress she didn’t appear to know what to say finally responding that it’s good to know she will tell the kitchen! I would have expected a heartfelt apology at the very least. The meals lacked finesse, honestly not worth the money. When we asked for some water for the table I was dismayed to receive a pint of water!

Excellent evening. Becky and the team paired different wines and cheeses for us (a group of 8 friends). Most in the group were wine novices, so Becky put together a guide to explain the wine, how to taste it, and which cheese developed the taste of the wine best. It was a fun filled evening with attentive service. We were able to chat and relax. Can't recommend this enough for an alternative to a meal with friends. Give it a try...we will certainly be back!

We had a family party for 20 people late afternoon/early evening at The Plough. We had an area just designated for ourselves. The Booking/Arranging the party was seamless. All of our requirements were taken in to consideration. We had one gluten free guest and she had her own prepared food which looked snd tasted fab. She was the birthday girl so was so pleased.
