Staff are brilliant welcoming friendly and chatty. We ordered tea and sausage rolls which came fresh and promptly Many incidents occurred that day which the staff handled very well

Best food in town MAGNA makes all herself and with a light touch. Can accommodate a gluten-free diet with great Paninis and dreamy cakes. Goodbye waistline !!!

I had eyed up the cake offering here many times over the last few months but was unable to enjoy any due to severe morning sickness. Today I finally got my chance and I was not disappointed! I had the tiramisu cake and my husband the cheesecake. I should have taken a photo of these masterpieces but was frankly too greedy! Fab cake and a lovely little cafe- thank you!

Worst food everything was cold and found a hair in food Will not be going back food was over priced as well

It was quite nice, staff were nice young and attractive friendly helpful how ever I ordered a cuppacino and a pastie and the pastie came first followed by the coffee 2 mins later which in my opinion is not acceptable which makes me feel like not coming back . Loved the decor though

These are my own views of our visit and maybe it was just an off day.?Myself and wife popped in here for a cup of tea and a sandwich, as it looks so inviting and promotes itself as an " independant " establishment, but never again.We wallked into the shop not being greeted and went upstairs where we assumed there would be more room.There was 2 tables free with empty cups and plates left on them which had not yet been cleared, we assumed these would be ok to sit and cleared eventually.After 5 mins of the table not being cleared and the waitressses walking past a few times, i put the empties on the already full table next to us.After 10 mins and still not being acknowledged my wife asked a waitress for a menu, of which she only brought 1 back to the table and walked off.We could then hear shouting and crashing of plates etc in one of the small kitchens.After 15 minutes, and with 3 seperate waitresses walking past and not acknowledging, us enough was enough.Walking past the kitchen with pilled up plates on the first floor and then past the ground floor Kitchen which was in the same state we realised we had a lucky escpape.We walked out of the shop the same way we came in without any acknowledgment or being questioned why we were leaving.I understand that it may be a busy time of the year but, puddings you need to acknowledge the paying public which pays the way for this "independant " establishment to stay open.

This looked really inviting from the outside. My daughter and I went in, she ordered crushed avocado on toast with poached eggs and ham, as extras. I ordered the number 2 breakfast. The avocado was a very thin spread on cold buttered toast, two poached eggs and packet ham on top. The breakfast number 2 had hot baked beans, cold toast, and not much else to recommend it. Wa6 overpriced for what we had, I would not recommend this place

Après avoir passé un week-end à Londres, nous avons décidé de passer par des petites villes (Maidstone et Canterbury) sur notre retour car nous aimons sortir un peu des sentiers battus. Nous souhaitions prendre un breakfast anglais, nous nous sommes donc arrêtés au Puddings Coffee Shop. Que dire, le petit déjeuner était très bon, traditionnel comme nous le souhaitions. Il y avait trois formules (set), je conseille pour un gros mangeur de prendre le set 3. Pour cette prestation, cela nous a couté presque 20 pounds (set 1 plus set 3 plus un chocolat et un café en grands formats). Pas donné, mais copieux, donc rapport qualité prix ok (surtout comparé à Londres dont les prix sont franchement parfois abusés). Le personnel était sympa, l'endroit également, nous avons avons été plutôt satisfaits de la prestation. Nous vous conseillons donc cet établissement si vous passez dans le secteur.

Love this little cafe... food is always good. My only gripe would be the people who sit and smoke outside , rather off putting.

Me and my mum decided to go in here for a coffee, but the woman who worked in there was completely rude to there staff and was shouting a screaming. She called a customer “rude” because she was taking so long to make his sandwich. Will not be returning!

Excellent venue. Very good service. The sandwiches were freshly made and a good choice of cakes etc.

Popped in there over the weekend with family for drinks. Sat outside which was very pleasant. Good range of refreshments. Friendly and helpful staff. Only down side was the price. In my opinion, £3.50 for a regular milkshake is overpriced.

What a great little place!..just had the best Eggs Benedict ever...such a huge variety of choices. Staff are lovely and down to earth..will definitely be back!

Having gone out of my way to support a local rather than chain cafe, it was a total disappointment. The food was poor, tables were not cleaned and the staff were more concerned with their private conversations and singing to the piped music rather than proactively looking after the customers. Could not recommend and it is back to the chains for me.

Went on a Saturday and ordered coffee and cake. The staff were helpful and very polite. We had the Tirimisu cake which was one of the best cakes we have ever had.The coffe was also very good.

Looking for a cup of tea and a cake to see me through another wife's shopping expedition, found this little gem of a cafe. The staff are very friendly service was excellent, the food was out of this world (mars bar cheesecake is a must) good prices as well good cozy rustic ambience inside, will definitely be returning next time in town. Five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely lady and very friendly, coffee great, however waited 20 mins for a sausage sandwich that frankly was terrible. My view is sausage should be of quality meat, only expecting these cheap 3% pork in cheap Cafe breakfast places. Such a shame as lovely place.

Absolutely beautiful home made cake, I've lived near Maidstone for years and this will be the only cafe I go to now

This is not our first visit and will certainly not be our last. I am partial to a nice slice of cake, and here you will find the best available by far. These are not the usual bought in mass produced efforts but genuinely homemade and very nicely presented at the table as well, not just slung on a plate! Always a good choice as well as long as you are early enough as the best seem to sell fast so dont leave it too late in the day! Service is always good, the coffee hot and the prices are right too. Looking forward to trying another low calorie (not!) cake on my next visit.

Stopped for coffee and cake with friends, delicious homemade cakes, friendly staff, well worth checking it out.

I went here with a friend and we both got a milkshake each and a bowl of ice cream. They were really nice and the staff were very friendly and the time between ordering and getting our drinks and food was very quick. It was good value for money, I'll definitely go again and recommend it to my friends and family.

The cakes here are amazing. When I've upset the boss a trip here for a large chocolate cake is the ideal peace offering.

Incredibly friendly and warm staff members. Me and my wife both had a milkshake which was gorgeous and we had baguettes with bacon and mozzarella respectively. Ingredients are of a very high quality and cooked to perfection. What an absolute little gem this place is.

Make sure I always visit this great little restaurant when I shop in maidstone really good food and wonderful cakes and good coffee. Lovely staff always friendly and always make sure we get a table well worth a vusit

Had lunch. Lovely vanilla chai and flat white. Good jacket potato and veg soup. Chocolate cake was nice but too rich for our liking.

This was my first visit to Puddings, definitely not my last. I rarely go in a coffee shop alone, but was made to feel welcome by staff and customers. Customers in there appeared to be regulars which was nice to see. I had a mocha and bacon sandwich both delicious.

Came in today for mocha and slice of pear and toffee cake and really impressed. Will be back to try the tiramisu cake soon first visit of many definitely will not be the last

Been here a few times and it's a lovely little place for coffee and maybe something to eat. Decent selection and very friendly staff, my kids like it too.

What a friendly place. The staff were great and seemed genuinely concerned about the fact we would have to wait for the jacket potatoes we had ordered which we didn’t mind at all. When they came they were piled high with toppings which was nice to see. We also had some cake, the Black Forest was a huge slice and apparently tasted great. The milkshake was a hit and the dark hot chocolate was very warming. We sat upstairs and the room was small but cozy with lovely decorations.

Visited here today and was busy but staff coping well.

Decent brie and chutney baquette and sausage roll. Good selection of drinks and other food. Lovely chocolate cake that was light. Only shame was slightly slow service but apologised for slight wait.

Stopped here while out shopping after sitting outside as we had our dog the ladies told us we could sit inside as our dog was welcome inside . Found they are very friendly and helpfull people and the food is fantastic at a very reasonable price highly recommend and will defiantly be going back

Waking around Maidstone town centre I entered to this place looking for an ice cream... it was ok. I didn’t try the desserts I will give a go next time. My brother ordered a milkshake they took ages , service was polite

Was looking for somewhere to grab a panini or baguette , popped head in read the blackboard . Great exactly what I was after baguette freshly baked and made to order and Panini chosen from counter . Lovely personal banter service from lady maybe manager /owner she was great. She helped me chose my drink went for a whippy frappé coffee great choice . Quaint little place really nice great choices of lunch snacks and obviously the desserts looked amazing will defo make it a regular when I visit Maidstone again. Shame not closer to me in Gillingham or I would be in there every day . Just the sort of place people love these days . Thanks you and keep up your good work.

Whilst my husband was on a course I went for a wander and wanted a snack, came across puddings, thought I’d give it a go instead of going to one of the chains, I’m so pleased I did, the best waffle I’d ever had, proper whippy ice cream , cup of tea in a funky tea pot etc, excellent service, can see why there seemed to be a lot of first name term customers. Highly recommend popping in.

Only been once so far, but it was lovely, some very different cakes on offer and service was good. Nice to sit outside and watch the world go by.

The food is good & the staff are friendly. All the yummy cakes are home made, It was a delight to see more people in the café -we were the only ones on our first visit. Good words are obviously 'getting around'. The owner is usually there and is VERY welcoming as are all the staff.

I have now visited Puddings a couple of times and it is great to find an independent coffee shop which has cheerful, friendly staff, does good coffee and the food (millionaires shortbread and waffles) has been excellent. A nice little upstairs space - all the staff I have met are both friendly and knowledgable
