Fantastic pub with great views over the fields and an amazing selection of non alcoholic lagers! 100% recommend freedam lager (it tastes like really good lager!).

Did not eat ,had a couple of beers with friends, good atmosphere & welcoming new landlady, who was very helpful towards our upcoming event.

Always made to feel very welcome. We didn't eat! The new landlady is very accommodating, I think she is going to be very good for the pub.

Recently reopened, 4 ales, 2 regular and 2 guest. Massive garden, plenty of room for kids to run around.

New refurbished pub and soooooo much better than the old,a pleasant place to be for a quiet drink,will defo visit more than before 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Millie was extremely friendly and welcoming. Will be heading back for sure. Young lad called Ethan very helpful in collecting glasses too.

Great atmosphere and lovely pub

Tucked away in the small Hertfordshire hamlet of Ley Green, quite off the beaten track, it’s well worth soughting out this fantastic gem of a village pub. A good to honest place with no intention of heirs and graces, what they do they do very well and that is to keep cask conditioned Ales in exemplary order. With a couple of usuals in place, often accompanied by a guest with a good variety of other beers and spirits. Set in the beautiful rolling countryside of north Hertfordshire it’s also an ideal stopping point for walkers and cyclists with an excellent network of footpaths bridleways and byways nearby. Great for kids as the field behind is large enough for them to run around safely and a large patio area with lots of benches so you can soak up the sunshine on good days. They are also very dog friendly! Often have events running like car shows and live music, also well known in the area for their brilliant fireworks show in November. A shining example of a no nonsense village boozer in a sea of mediocre chain pubs!

The managers are grumpy, the food ain't good and I only went for an event.wouldnt go for any other reason.

Great hospitality. Very welcoming hosts. Food was marvellous.I had sausages mash peas and onion gravy which was delicious. My husband had homemade steak and stilton pie chips and peas. Perfect.

We first went here around 4 years ago for a 60th birthday. Finally returned today. Great bike ride from Luton. We had the most delicious pies for our meal, handmade and baked on the premises. Crammed full of meat too and wonderful pastry. Proper pub grub with the warmth of honest home cooking. The garden out back is spacious and a lovely rural setting. We plan on returning here at least once a month for the peace, great hosts and food.

To anyone visiting, this establishment supports fox hunt meets. This should be a family establishment not where illegal hunts are organised. Im astounded.

The best sausage egg and chips in the County in my view. A very tradional locals pub though ideal for walkers.

Traditional pub frequented by local people. If you love dogs, like me, go on a Sunday and ask to give them strokes. There is always a lovely pup in there! 🤗

Fantastic location and views. Staff were friendly and old fashioned interior very quintessentially British. Serve food but not tried it. Beer was warm and there was no ice available for other drinks. It was bank holiday Monday when I visited so may have had a rush on! Large car park and patio. Slide in the garden for the kids.

Stayed here in our camper van as a stop over. The staff and customers were so friendly and welcoming. Our dogs were allowed to roam free during the day while we were in the garden.and plenty of fields for the dogs to play in. Food was excellent. Only downside there were no toilets for overnight stay, but would definitely come back again. Fantastic place.

Best pint of Abbot for miles. Cellar beautifully cool on a warm day, hard to beat.

Potwc fantastic evening caught up with some old friends and drunk far more than I should off but a great evening and pleasent company

Nice little out in the county pub

Lovely Inn surrounded by glorious countryside. Very friendly landlords as are the locals. Had really good live music on Saturday night. Decent real ales, cider and wine.

Traditional country pub from a bygone era, selling a good choice of bottled ales, two hand pumps,meat raffle on Sunday,pub grub, TV for sports, in the middle of nowhere, beautiful surrounding countryside, very large garden, family &dog friendly, absolutely love it !

This pub is hidden away and worth searching out.. the most beautiful views down in the valley

Very nice traditional pub in a small village. Headed out to this pub on a Sunday with some friends and it was a very experience. Large garden out back and ample room for parking. Inside, the pub is a a little small, but there was room for up to 20 people, as we discovered while we were there. The barman was very friendly and listed his whole range of alcoholic beverages. Went for a nice ale and some snacks. The pub was dog friendly, and there were several in the pub whilst there. This pub would be a nice place to stop if you were cycling.
