First time I have visited since the refurb, fantastic job. Food was great, staff attentive, well worth a visit. 2 of us had steaks, very well cooked, others had fish with and without batter both lovely.

Popped in today with my parents the 3 of us 9th feb I have to say it’s one of the bestest Sunday dinners I’ve had in a long time, Huge proper home-made Yorkshire puddings, crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside roast potatoes, the lamb was cooked perfectly and you could tell was carved off of a bone, and a good variety of vegetables could not fault one bit of our meal, even the sorbet at the end was superb. Highly recommended The staff were lovely and very welcoming too. Other food that was coming out to other people looked good too will definitely be a pub that would go to and recommend..

Had wanted to try this pub since it opened and we were not disappointed. Excellent service from the email confirmation through to getting the bill. Delicious food with some interesting specials, friendly staff and a 2 course meal for 4 with drinks coming in at under £100. We will be back.

I could not believe the price of the drinks. £6 for a small bottle of nonalcoholic beer. You can't enjoy a drink when you feel ripped off.

We genuinely could not fault this pub. Friendly, welcoming staff. Good beer, amazing food and incredibly good value for money. The pub itself is lovely and the decor interesting and cosy. Even the toilets were lovely. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to eat in the area.

I had a lovely lunch at the Plough on Sunday, roast pork, and it was excellent. The service was good, and I will be back again.

Lovely pub. I had the mixed grill and cooked well. Only thing I didn’t like was the very spicy sausage so change suppliers of your sausages!! I still give this pub 5 stars for choice and price in a lovely atmosphere. Service is a bit slow in getting menu’s but they are lovely people

Old fashioned bar area, but a very modern dining room and kitchen. The restaurant was very busy. Free house. My only suggestion is that they need a dedicated bar person to engage with customers, and allow the managers to focus more on the dining area, which is clearly their main income stream. This would make the pub section more welcoming, and would encourage more footfall from the surrounding villages.

A very nice welcome as we walked in. We hadn’t been here since the present owners took over and were pleasantly surprised by the lightness and cosiness of the pub. The food was delicious and nicely presented. I would definitely recommend - we went for a birthday celebration and our visit certainly helped to make it a good day.

We love The Plough. We came at Christmas and were very impressed by the gorgeous decorations, the great ambience, the food and service. I returned in April for a 99th birthday lunch and once again, was very impressed by the care and attention paid to our table. The food was just as good as I'd remembered and everyone at the table enjoyed their choices thoroughly. This is a family run pub with attention to quality of food and great service and the prices are really reasonable. Plenty of parking and on good weather days, a lovely conservatory and garden too.

Very pleasant Landlord and staff member who attended to us. Great to see improvements - ladies loos are very luxurious compared to previous location….and heated! - as haven’t visited for quite some time. Our steaks were cooked as requested and arrived on hot plates with hot veg which was well received. Unfortunately, hub’s bread and butter pudding didn’t come up to expectations and the “custard” accompanying it was somewhat novel, being lumpy and cold. The Landlord graciously refunded the cost of the dessert when mentioned later.

Awful. Everything about the meal was disappointing. This was the second visit and certainly the last. Lacking in all areas. A shame but it is not worth the wasted visit.

I'm a regular at this, my local Costa. Staff are excellent. The gal(Lauren) and the guys are friendly and professional - most importantly they know how to make lovely coffee. Problems - not because of the store's staff :- sometimes deliveries to the store are not in schedule 🤦leading to low stocks of cakes, sandwiches etc .... Some comments have noted *dirty tables* whatever. Sometimes the 2 on duty (occasionally even 1) can be overwhelmed for a few minutes with customers. However ask them to clear/clean your table and it will be done ASAP. Plus as soon as the short rush is over normal cleaning etc is done. The store and toilet ARE wheelchair (accessable).

Absolutely horrendous stay. The landlords had the heating on a time in sub zero temperatures. The 'apartment' we had booked was absolutely freezing. I had to put my children to bed fully clothed. The drains in the room smelt putrid like raw sewage. We made a booking for 4. Only 3 beds made up and towels only provided for 2. We made the sofa bed up at 8pm for my daughter and were missing half of the bedding. Went down to the pub at 8:20pm to request some bedding and pillows to find it all locked up for the night. The food. Diabolical. Black chips, a bit of Asda value frozen fish and peas drier than anything. The landlady was miserable and needs to find a new profession. Would not recommend this dump to my worst enemy. We checked out after 1 night and returned home. Absolute dive.

I always buy the ginger bread biscuit as kids love them . The lady serving asked if I’d like a snow man as they Christmas ones ready very nice too but at a £1:00! More for a small snowman . The biscuit is usually £2.00 . Merry Christmas 🎄 happy profit making

Very much enjoyed our late lunch here. Young staff and manager were very friendly and helpful. Extremely good value for money, reasonable prices and big portions. We actually quite like the unique interior it’s cosy!

On our journey home from an overnight-stay in Bournemouth we decided to take a minor roads route back home rather than the direct main road route. This took us through quite a few small towns and villages. Our plan was to find a Farm Shop Café or a village / small town-centre café where we could get lunch: ideally a snack and a hot drink. We were over an hour into our journey when we saw the signs for Marcia’s Farm Shop and turned into what was a heavily pot-holed carpark. We then walked into the signposted barn noting that there was plenty of tables and chairs arranged in neat rows but no-one was sat there. There was another door into ‘The Shack’; inside was actually a full bar; like you would find in a pub. There were a few locals propping-up the bar, chatting and drinking draught beer. This is not what we had expected and we assumed that the ‘Marcia’s Farm Shop’ and ‘The Shack’ were one in the same business. There didn’t appear to be any farm produce on sale: other than, we assumed, the food offered in the menu. It was almost exactly 1pm when we were approached and welcomed by a pleasant lady. We asked about food, and she advised us to select a table and choose from the menu of snacks that were available, and that she would return to take our order. We studied the menu having ordered some tea and my Partner chose a fishfinger baguette, whereas I chose a toasted ham and cheese sourdough sandwich. The plates took a good 20-25 minutes to arrive from ordering, but freshly prepared food does take time. So, we sipped tea and amused ourselves with the help of a large (probably over-fed and under-exercised) old Labrador who constantly wandered and sniffed around the bar and seated areas. The dog then settled at our table once our food order arrived. This was not a serious issue for us (others however may dislike being ‘hounded’ by slobbering dogs while they eat their food). Both plates featured a colourful and tasty fresh dressed salad which was really good. My sandwich was really firm and crunchy with a generous helping of thick-cut ham and plenty of well-melted cheese, and a small portion of red cabbage coleslaw to go with the salad. It was really good and enjoyed. My Partner’s baguette featured homemade cod loin fishfingers and tartare sauce (both inside the baguette). The fish was a bit moist and insubstantial; despite being made from the loin. Cod can be like this and it is why we prefer the meatier haddock. The baguette also accompanied by a few crisps, but they were a really strange flavour for accompanying fish (reminded us of Oxo beef - but very artificial). Our food was on the whole good, generously portioned and very much welcomed, and it was good value.
