Costa Coffee in North Dorset

A little costa coffee shop but very polite and friendly staff. It was lovely and quiet when we went in which I prefer.

Went here this morning for a latte. The two lads working there gave excellent customer service. They were polite, attentive and very efficient. The coffee was lovely and hot and served with lovely chat. These two men should be rewarded for their excellent service and they both appeared to be enjoying their job. A few other staff in other Costa branches could learn a thing or two from these lovely chaps. Well done.

I was really disappointed at Costa in Gillingham, I ordered a vanilla, hazelnut latte and was questioned if I actually wanted both these syrups in one latte, Yes I do! We ordered some lemon cake, which was very dry, when we spoke to the girls behind the counter they told us that lemon cake should be dry and dense, no it shouldn't.

A normal Costa - service not the fastest. Only went here because my son came out without his epi pen. Otherwise would have tried Kaffe over the road as it smelt amazing as we walked past. Or Coffee and Canines which is near and fab.

A lovely place to come and grab a coffee. I’ve only been a couple of times and taken away both times but the coffee has been excellent. I always ask for half the shots of coffee and it’s never too much bother. Staff are friendly and good at acknowledging my child too which makes her happy. They also always ask if you have the Costa app which is handy as I would forgot to collect my rewards else. The Maple Hazel Latte is a new firm favourite too! Will have to visit a lot more while it’s on the menu.

No idea how this chain is still in business. Apparently a frap is a lukewarm watery drink with some cream on top - for a fiver!

not going again..compared to the other costa’s this one is the worse. staff aren’t kind either

I'm a regular at this, my local Costa. Staff are excellent. The gals are friendly and professional - most importantly they know how to make lovely coffee. Problems - not because of the store's staff :- sometimes deliveries to the store are not in schedule 🤦leading to low stocks of cakes, sandwiches etc .... Some comments have noted *dirty tables* whatever. Sometimes the 2 on duty (occasionally even 1) can be overwhelmed for a few minutes with customers. However ask them to clear/clean your table and it will be done ASAP. Plus as soon as the short rush is over normal cleaning etc is done. The store and toilet ARE wheelchair (accessable).

Nice place clean and well laid out .Staff nice friendly and helpful ex choice of snocks and hot food .There is a rest room as well .

Despite being the first customers of the day we did not even get a ‘good morning’ greeting. I prompted one by saying it myself. Upon first appearance waiting for the shutters to rise, the outside area was filthy. Unswept with dirt and leaves. Every table had its ashtrays full of butts and ash. When we got inside the workstation was covered with coffee grains and mess. A terrible mess.

Seems to be a new turn over in staff, this has made for a real pleasant Costa so sit and enjoy coffee. Staff always friendly and the place is always clean and tidy.

Called in to kill some time prior to a meeting, the place was nice & clean, the armchairs were a bit low down, actually pretty uncomfortable so I moved to a conventional chair and table. Two extremely pleasant, happy and friendly ladies working behind the counter, it’s the staff that make a place. Good experience. Recommend.

Excellent coconut latte, Friendly staff.

Drove here from football pitches 10 minutes away. Got myself a cappuccino and was looking forward to drinking it in the cold on the sidelines. Half way Back it lept out my hands into the footwell without even a sip being had. Nothing to do with the Costa but felt that everyone should know about my horrific experience. Coffee smelled great though, and my wife enjoyed her hot chocolate immensely, and with a bit of a wry grin. Good atmosphere in the shop, very busy but the staff kept their nerve and were very polite.

I'm wondering why our Costa in Gillingham dorset is closing by 3.30pm... its been closing so early and I'm very disappointed as its so close to Christmas. You would think it would be open slightly later so close to Christmas 🎄. Disappointed 😞 😥

There was nothing gluten free for me to eat when i took my son in for lunch😔 The interior is looking a bit tired now and out table was very wobbly!

Don’t know why they bother opening! The hours are are a lot shorter, has hardly any food on display and now they’ve run out of chocolate powder!! A very disorganised place, maybe if staff kept their phones out the back they’d get more done, one lady was literally being paid to text!

Visiting the Christmas market today , my wife and I decided to visit Costa and being as we had the dog with us we sat outside. There is no other comment that can be made about the exterior sitting area but “filthy with smelly cigarette ends littering the floor, tables dirty with smelly dirty ashtrays , wet leaves , obviously the area had not been cleaned in days. This has put us off ever visiting Costa Gillingham ever again.

Great having this in our town. Such a friendly team of staff members. Can't wait to try the Christmas hot chocolates.

Went in at 5:30 pm Wednesday and the the chick who done my drink dine it 100% perfect. A lot of the times I go in and ask for a wet late and still get a huge head of foam, spending time scooping it out is annoying. But today she did good.

Lovely skinny latte with a caramel shot. Was offered sugar free caramel! Made me almost feel it was healthy😋!

As a Costa coffee lover anyway my wife and I nearly always pay a visit to Costas in Gillingham. Service is good and the staff are very pleasant in such a calm and relaxing atmosphere! Always pay a visit there yourselves and chill out a bit!

Was served by lovely staff who were helpful when I managed to throw my drink all over the counter. Had a nice piece of cake and a nice drink. Prices were a bit expensive and I thought they didn't have a big of a selection as my usual coffee shop.

Costa is the best!!! They have the perfect coffees, hot chocolates, other hot drinks and a good variety of cold drinks too! Also thats including their own specials when its christmas holidays and also at any random time! Costa also does lovely cakes and snacks and lunch foods which are always the tastiest!

Sorry but always have staff issues?? Always a que, always have to wait. God it's busy before and after school times!!!!!!! Get some young staff to clear tables in busy times, or main service is stopped while table's are cleared and cleaned????

I love to pop into this Costa at Gillingham. we spend a lot of time here for a chat together with the Mrs. but the school kids ruin it in the summer as they all sit outside and swipe all the chairs, kids today have no respect tgey sit there and dont purchase anything from costa, its just handy for them as its at the end of the road where there school is situated 😩😩😩

There are several independent places in town serving better coffee. Never seen the attraction and don't like their coffee much, lacks body and depth.

I visit Costa in Gillingham a lot when I go to see my family, there's a tall blonde barista who makes the best lattes. However the manager, doesn't have the best customer service, she acts like what ever you ask her is a massive inconvenience to her.

A great place to met family and friends in Gillingham. Always good coffee and the staff are great. There is parking near by and a short walk in to town etc

As with all Costa cafes you know what to expect and what you are going to have to choose from. I visited to try another of their Christmas seasonal drinks. Well worth it. and if you are not counting the calories the muffins are delicious.

Definitely my favourite local Costa. There's plenty of seating, the staff are always polite and it's a nice atmosphere. One request though - more gluten free savoury products please. There's only so many brownies you can eat :)

Ok, just not what I expected from Costa. As Baristas go, they deserve better training. My expensive coffee could have come from a filter pot. No crema whatsoever. As I'm just passing through I can only surmise the folks here have nothing else for comparison. Not one of my better coffee experiences.

Not the best Costa I have reviewed. I've tasted better filter coffee than the americano I was served, at half the price. Perhaps the machine pressures are not correct! A good demonstration of the effects of no competition. I was served by Chelsie who to her credit, served what she assumed (having been trained) to be a good cup of coffee. The owners/operator (Bournemouth Coffee co.) need to have a good look at what passes for coffee in this establishment. Skinny decaf latte primo, americano primo, 2 bags crisps, 2 innocent strawberry and 2 naked blue machine £16.65. They better hope I don't come to town when I can could present better at 75% cost.
