Went there over 2 nights. First night the staff had abit of a moan about a table being booked at short notice. Understandable if it was busy but was half empty. Food was really good on the first night but the staff wasn't. Second night the staff were fantastic and the food was OK. Don't know it the chef was different from a Thursday to a Friday.

We booked a table for 11 for my daughter’s 18th birthday and she ended up in tears due to the experience we had. We waited 2.1/2 hours for our food which still was not ready by that time!! We were told by the manager that some was ready but not everyone’s, the food that was brought out was cold and the chicken burgers were rock hard and by this time everybody had lost their appetites and my husband had already left as he has to get up early for work. The manager told us that the chef was in a mood because he was working with a new person that didn’t know what he was doing! Poor excuse !!! It’s his job after all !! Change of career may be better for him. We will never return to this place and never recommend it to anyone. My daughter eventually enjoyed her food that she got from McDonald’s I contacted beefeater themselves and was disgusted with there response of a £10 voucher !!!! That wouldn’t have brought a round of drinks. The FOH management really need to be given more training, the manager actually told me that she didn’t want to go and tell the chef about how long we had waited as he was in a mood because he was working with a new person that didn’t know what he was doing. The chef could actually do with a change of career This is a photo of the chicken burger that was so hard it didn’t even break on the table and the food that did come out eventually was freezing cold and with us waiting so long for the food lnobody was hungry anymore We will never return to any beefeaters and thanks once again for making my daughter cry on her 18th birthday but at least she did eventually eat at 10pm when she went to get a take out from down the road

Friendly welcome from the start. Crispy calamari starter was really nice, mixed grill was delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly exactly as I had asked for. All food came out piping hot, service was quick. Compliments to the chef. Special mention to my server Brooke B how was friendly, polite and very helpful. Keep up the great work!

Had the premier inn breakfast here. It's £10.99 and is incredibly poor value for money. Firstly it's table service and is really slow. The cooked breakfast is terrible. God knows what they do to scrambled egg but it resembles slop. Avoid it and go elsewhere.

Visited this restaurant on Friday 26th April. We (2 of us) had a lovely steak dinner which was cooked to perfection by the trainee grill chef (we believe). The waitress and manager were lovely and look after our needs perfectly. I’m coeliac but information was taken and the knowledge by staff was good. Well done all for such a fabulous meal.

Stayed at the Premier Inn so was easy to go here. First went in for a drink, went to the bar and waited but no sign of any staff! Then told that we had to go to the restaurant section to get a drink and then went to the bar. Overpriced pint and a coke, tasted ok but not worth the money. Went back in the evening as already booked, wasn't busy but took ages for somebody to come and take our order. We could see the kitchen from where we sat, our food was ready but the waiting staff just walked past it and chatting. When it came it wasn't great, calamari was pathetic little pieces and prawns were chewy, steak was ok. My daughter's burger looked ok. Food was less than average and well over priced. Pub itself wasnt clean, toilets were horrible and place was generally poor. Won't be going be back

Met my girlfriend here for our first date 5 years ago. Decided to go back on our 5 years anniversary. The restaurant was fairly quiet but we were asked to go to the bar and order a drink so they could lay a table. From where I was stood I could see several tables laid already so that was a bit odd. Went back from the bar and waited about 5 minutes to be re acknowledged and taken to a table. It then took some 15 minutes before we could order and an age before the food came out. The food was disappointing I had the half chicken with rack of ribs, a quarter of the chicken was OK, the other half very dry. The ribs were also over cooked and dry. Never got offered a second drink the whole time we were there which ended up being nearly two hours..... My partner ordered the tender stem broccoli with her meal and had one stem in it, seriously someone in the kitchen was taking the mick. In summary the place has gone down hill massively in the last few years, three years ago was the last time I visited and I won't be rushing back. The decor also needs looking at as the bench we were sat on was ripped.

Came in 2 weeks ago with my Mom and Sister - had drinks and food which was served to us within 20 minutes even though the place was busy. Food was hot and tasty, well done to the Chef Brian - i even had a bit of my Moms ribs they looked so nice, and they was! Friendly service and a great atmosphere overall.

Evening meal with family of 4, 2 adults & 2 kids Pros Kids 3 course meal good value for money at £6.99 for 3 courses Cons Adult meals not so good value for money. Small portions and £16 for a bacon cheeseburger with a few chips was very pricey. Was still hungry at the end of my meal Slow service, took us about 1hr 50 from going in to leaving and it wasn't busy. Personally wish I'd just went to the McDonald's up the road instead.

We were a party of five (two adults, two teenagers and one Under 12). My children and I arrived first. We were told that we couldn't be seated until everyone was there - the place was empty and we had pre-booked so I'm not sure of the reason for this. We brought a drink while we waited. We all had cokes (full fat as I call it!). The barmaid seemed a little fed up. Probably bored as it was really quiet. After our friends arrived we were finally seated and they ordered drinks (coke zero). We ordered meals and it was getting a little busier but nothing like full at all. We could see the chefs where we were seated and I saw them put, what looked like our food, on the hot plate. Several waitresses walked past. After a good five minutes they finally served our food. There didn't seem any urgency. Chicken and fish become very dry if left under a hot light for too long. The food was okay. Not sure it was worth £51 for two adult meals, one child's and two desserts. My main complaint comes because of what happened at the end of the meal. We had another round of drinks. Three cokes and two cokes zeros. It wasn't until the waitress served these that she told me friend her drinks were free as she had put them through as refillable. So I paid almost £21 for six cokes and she £7(ISH) for four! If the barmaid or waitress had mentioned this then we would have had the same. We didn't know the Beefeater did refillable drinks. Other places ask you if you want refillable cokes or not. Poor show Beefeater.

Came in for a quick pint on a walk. Main bar 3 people in dirty plates and cups on a few tables. No one serving I think the manager was in a meeting didn’t have the decency to tell me I have to go the other side of the restaurant to be served. No one came still lucky a gentleman eating his lunch pointed to the little bar hidden away. No wonder there is no one in here £5.30 later as an average Madri I won’t be coming back. Next time I’ll just carry on walking home.

Manager was rude and said it’s Mother’s Day. This place can NOT copy with this amount of people for Mother’s Day. I expected a wait but not this long. We booked a table of four for Valentines evening menu. When we had been seated the table was not cleaned and left dirty. Went to the men’s toilet completely filthy. 20 mins passed for the first drink order and one hour until the starter had arrived. We sent starter dishes back as there was no garnish, someone’s dirty finger print that had been left on one of the dishes and it was all cold. I still can’t believe this was served to us. I would not serve this to my worst enemy. Two hours had passed and still no mains. When we pushed the staff for it to finally turn up. The Steaks were over cooked, the prawns were over cooked (could not eat them) the salads were dry and warm with some off cut of old food mixed inside. The glassware was dirty too. How can Beefeater let standards drop this low. We were not prepared to pay full price and a half price reduction was given. The place is completely understaffed. The staff that are working are overwhelmed, overworked and the manager can’t cope (run off her feet) The table next to us complained and had there Salmon taken of the bill. Pull your act together Beefeater, help the staff, manager, chefs etc and bring back what was once a great restaurant. Currently it’s not worth one star. Completely shocking!!

Wow. What a disappointing meal. Order was messed up, burgers were drier than a nuns crutch. You get more chips with a happy meal. Service was pretty slow. All in all I'd say stay at home and cook yourself. You'll enjoy it more. Ps even the waitress thought the prawns were expensive and pretty much advised not to bother, I do however appreciate her honesty lol oh the breakfast was ok though.

I never complain unless there is a reason, me and my partner eat out often and like to leave positive reviews for businesses. However, the Beefeater was just absolutely dreadful, child sized portions. Manager walking around shouting other waitresses names. She seemed really hostile and just seemed like a she hated the customers if they had constructive criticism. Atompshere was awful had people sat right next to us, we may as well have dined with them. We wasent greated nicely. We parked out the back and come through the back entrance, we walked to the bar and said that we have a reservation and the manager turned round and said 'nooooooo' in my partners face, he then repeated himself and then we got asked to wait at the front, for her then to come around and repeat over that it isn't an entrance and we come through the wrong door, like, OKAY! it isn't an entrance you didn't have to mention that at all to us and just sit us down (we was confused by this as we had used the back entrance in the past with no issues). I could go into details but why bother. We complained about the meal as the pigs in blankets was like £3.50 a pop and you got 3 teeney tiny Sausages with burnt bacon wrapped around. Manager took them off the bill and also made it very clear that she took off the £1 peppercorn. The other waitresses on the other hand was really pleasent and couldn't apologise enough. It was meant to be a nice Christmas meal out and it was just dire, but as the manager kept saying its isn't there fault it's whitbreads specs and portion sizes! No apology what's so ever. Please avoid, the food reminds me food warmed up in a microwave and also everything is just deep fried to make life easier.

Initially the pub seemed nice and quiet with an older clientele. But slowly the experience went down hill. The staff seemed put out and irritated due to my dietary requirements. Giving them the Benifit of the dought I went again.... It was worse. The manager has a split personality and changes from being nice to rolling her eyes at customers whilst giving an unbelievable amount of attitude. Both times I had the tomato soup, the first time it had basil and some sort of cream in ( perposly added due to my vegan request). Second time it had just basil and I found some sort of chewy item in there, tasted some what like dried fish. The staff, including the manager seemed unfamiliar and confused with the groupon voucher even though they had a sign at the bar detailing the offers (which was taken down and not replaced when I pointed it out). The manager got extremely arsey and sarcastic when I mentioned having to run the school run after their 35 minute attempt of trying to charge use £50+ pound for food that had already been paid for with the Groupon voucher. The food overall is better than some places but the highlight about this place is the cocktails, when you eventually get them. They seem so short staffed that a 30min wait for cocktails is the norm. Definitely would not return or recommend to anyone.

We expected at least a bowl of them, Definately more than 2 we did question and waitress & she said it was up to the chef!! I will add they were the big prawns not the tiny ones! But even so!! Went here for my birthday with my family; the service, food and restaurant failed to meet expectations. We arrived at the restaurant and was advised it would be a 30 minute wait for a table, we hadn’t booked so not a problem, we went for a drink in the bar and the hostess came to get us when a table was available. We asked if it was possible to swap items on the menu, chicken breast for chicken wings, and was advised absolutely not as menu items are ordered in specifically and the wings are ordered in bulk. We ordered off the menu and waited for our food. The food was left awaiting service whilst the waitresses stood talking amongst themselves, the restaurant was cold so uncomfortable to sit in and the seats were clearly worn and had patches, which were peeling off, to try sort the problem. When the food arrived the nachos were cold and the wings warm, after eating the starters and our plates being taken away we were advised that they had no ribs as they hadn’t arrived on the last order. We sat for an hour and a half, it took them this long to work out they didn’t have enough ribs for a relatively empty restaurant. Wasn’t offered any form of goodwill gesture for the inconvenience, just a half attempt at an apology whilst the waitress was walking away to get our bill.

After waiting 45 minutes for a sharer Sunday dinner, we received cold lamb, luke warm beef, wilted warm brocolli. Not a very nice experience. We refused to pay for a cold dinner.

Celebrating mums 81st birthday (17/10/23) Our waitress was at first a bit offish at first as I asked if we could change where sitting due to mum having trouble sitting as no leg room. Once ordering she did cheer up and gave great service , food was excellent. Another member of staff did help bring food to table but oh my how rude was she !! (I am pretty sure she was a team leader or maybe management, didn’t catch her name) Considering we were a table of 6 people her service was unacceptable as one member of booking politely asked if she could had her eggs on gammon changed to runny eggs as hers were well over cooked….. we were spoken too very sharply. “Well did you order them runny !! “. Our reply was no as didn’t think too and member of staff just gave us a look !! All the years of going to this restaurant and never had a problem with staff before.

They've moved the entrance, so it's nowhere near the disabled parking. Sorry you need to either reopen the car park doors or move the disabled spaces to near the entrance. Result I couldn't get into the pub. Won't be back not accessible, very poor!

Outside temp was 9c when we arrived on 20th September. Inside Costa was like sitting in a fridge with the air con full on cold! People were sat with coats on. Is this done to make people vacate tables quickly. Seating areas arranged OK but the furniture was worn out . The upholstery was torn and worn with the framework exposed. The bench seats were torn also. The upholstery was worryingly filthy which posed a hygiene risk. How much bacteria was in there. We were checking our clothing to make sure the dirt had not transferred onto us. Considering we were next to the NEC arena and most likely this place gets thousands of customers, a refurbishment and deep clean is long overdue.

Really good food and extremely friendly staff. Our waiter Pedro was a star. So friendly and helpful, a welcome change to so-often surly hospitality staff. Steak was perfectly cooked, tagine flavourful. Creme brulee decadent. Wine excellent (merlot) . Food took awhile to arrive but it was worth it. Prices in line with airport / hotel sites. A nice start to our holiday the next day.

Such a shame, disappointed that I couldn't have water to dilute my drink. I had dined with husband and enjoyed my food. I ordered a passion mojito but unfortunately when it arrived it was a little to sweet. I asked if I could have some tap water to dilute my drink but unfortunately I was told I could pay for water but they won't give me water to dilute my drink. I am disappointed as most restaurants give tap water. I had already paid £7.50 for my drink and didn't feel right paying for water to dilute it. Such a shame. Please provide tap water
