We came late for Sunday lunch and were pleased to find it was still being served in the evening. There was a pleasant ambiance, the staff were helpful and personable, the cider was good and above all the roast dinner was excellent, the best we've had in East Dulwich in quite some time. We'll definitely come again.

They get 5 based on staff attitude, food quality, drinks and manager. Minor systems issues did not mar a really good lunch

Waited for our food for an hour, didn’t get it in the end, no communication, staff was unable to explain what happened and whether they even had the order. No one from the management was around to handle the situation either. The atmosphere is nice though, the space is actually really lovely.

Went to the Plough in Dulwich last Dunday for lunch with my grandkids and friends. We had a lovely meal- all very happy with it. The kids menu is great too! Ideal for a good family Sunday lunch. The staff are really lovely and friendly. We were served by Emma and nothing we needed was too much. An overall great experience! Thank you

We go here almost every week! We love it here! We always have a wonderful dining experience, both in terms of the food and the ambiance. Starters: some of our favourites include the Halloumi Fries, which are perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, paired with a spicy chipotle chilli jam which adds just the right amount of kick. The Calamari is tender, with a light, crispy coating, complemented by a flavourful saffron aioli and the crispy chicken strips are just gorgeous! Mains: I think we have tried almost every main on the menu, the Fish and Chips are always beautifully cooked and tasty, I also really enjoy the King Prawn & Devon crab linguine, it’s just delicious. On this occasion we went with the Steak Pie, which was rich and hearty, wrapped in flaky pastry accompanied by creamy mash, which was just divine. The Smoky Burger was deliciously indulgent and filling. Desserts: We couldn't resist the desserts. The Triple Chocolate Brownie, served with vanilla ice cream was delectable! It just melts in your mouth! The Apple, Plum & Damson Crumble, paired with vanilla crème anglaise, was unavailable so went with the gooseberry version, this I didn’t really like, but was offered a different desert in place of it. It just wasn’t to my taste, a little too torte for my palate. The ambience of The Plough is cozy and welcoming, with a warm, rustic charm that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout the meal without being intrusive. Their service added to the overall relaxed and pleasant dining experience. I have a tried a few of the cocktails, all very well made. My favourite is the Mojito, which I always ask for to be made on the sweet side. Otherwise I’m happy with a Rekordilig, which is reasonably priced. With a great menu, lovely atmosphere, and attentive staff, The Plough is definitely my go to place for all occasions.

Currently, I go to the Plough to play chess on Monday evenings. Very accommodating and helpful staff. I recently had a good chilli chicken and chips .

Fantastic roast! Genuinely one of the best we have had in London. We went for the sharing roast and the only thing we thought was that it was described as coming with stuffing and pigs in blankets. We only got one pig in blanket it would have been nice to have a few! And same with the stuffing, just a little more as it was a sharing platter!

Awful service. No one approached us to tell us we had to order at the bar for 20mins. Then as we wait another 10mins at the bar they said the kitchen was closed. We had to leave.

Went here with my family. I used to live in Peckham and came here with my dad around 20 years ago and pleased to say its still a fantastic pub. Food was lovely and shout out to the head chef who brought out some strawberries for my 2yr old.

We held my late Husbands funeral reception at The Plough. Having held a funeral reception here before, we were so pleased with the service we didn’t hesitate to book The Plough again. The service was again outstanding as well as the Gold Buffet menu. Nothing was too much trouble.

Two young ladies at the bar absolutely lovely. Ginger and blonde girl. So helpful and helped me in choosing the roast which was lovely!

Had some birthday drinks and food, i have doing lots of pubs recently and this one didn’t disappoint. Great atmosphere and lovely pub.

I can't put you off more from going, especially if you have events. The lack of courtesy shown was incredible. Having arrived at the pub on a booking for 1:30, we were met with the waitresses giggling in their corner of the pub, we wondered over and was shown are seat. Nobody came over to ask for drinks or to relay specials, or to state if there would be a delay for any reason. Such as maybe the chef not being there and a new one was in? It's funny when you don't have basic courtesy how the meal booked for and planned quickly becomes sour. Having spent 5 min choosing our meals and drinks we went over and ordered, ofcourse the drink we wanted wasn't available but okay choose another. No mention there would be a delay. Drinks came over 5 min later, great! Okay so now just the food, 30 min go by, no food, no apology, no one saying it would be a little while. Okay 35 min in to waiting, us staring at the waitresses starting to fidget. One comes over, sorry the cheese in your salad isn't available, but we have this other type okay. 5 min later was told it shouldn't be too much longer. Right so 40 min waiting now, was told it wouldn't be too much longer, so 20 min later, waiting 1 hour for small plates of calamari on one and a cheese and tomato plate on the other. Goes up and now adgited for the long wait, how long untill the food arrives? not even our main by the way which was pie and chips. It's another 10 minutes. Okay so a short time is half an hour in total from when you told us plus a further 10min now. Yes I want a refund, waiting an hour having no courtesy to say anything was delayed or unavailable. Obviously a lack of communication, disingenuous and ofcourse the watireses giggling and staring as we left?? Ofcourse you should do better, and the nice thing for a business would be to comp the drinks, did they no. Did they say goodbye as we left, no. Are we going back, no. I don't recommend you do either, there's a reason it was empty, oh I forgot that but it was an empty pub with one gentleman eating a sandwich which they got wrong as we waited and had to redo. You were obviously overwhelmed as it seems the staff and the kitchen can't cope. You duth butter no parsnips lovelies. 💃

I came to the pub on the 1st August and on this time drove. I have been coming regularly by foot for years and live in E Dulwich. Today I ended up with a fine. There was no clear notice about parking. Why would I even look? I am not happy with this. I often come here with many family and friends. Living locally I have spent much time and money at the Plough. It seems I need to take my business elsewhere in future. Good luck with making your money from parking fine. Not a good way to lose a regular and loyal customer in this day when so many pubs are struggling. This is unacceptable.

Went to the plough Dulwich today 10/08:24 with my family & had a fantastic time, the staff were so so friendly & helpful. The lady with the brown curly hair is amazing her customer service is so on point, infact the whole staff are great. The food is fab & the chef is doing a great job. Pricing of drinks & food is quite reasonable too, would so recommend this place!!!

Didn't like the way I had to pay for drinks at the bar before barman had even started to pour them out. Surely it should be the other way round, old school. Also very expensive.

We’ve recently just moved next door to The Plough pub and we’ve had a fantastic experience everytime thanks to Nico. He's an outstanding bartender who truly goes above and beyond for his customers. His warm and friendly demeanor makes everyone feel welcome, and he always remembers regulars by name! If you're visiting The Plough, make sure to have Nico serve you—you won't be disappointed! I’ve eaten here before and had lovely food. But last nights family meal was awful - everyone got their meals at different times and be order was wrong. They still charged us the difference in price between this and the correct meal! They gave us free coffees to compensate but then seemed to expect us to be grateful for this, when it’s really the very least they could have done. Food nice though overall but service from person in charge quite rude and not particularly apologetic.

Food was fantastic starf realy nice. The only thing they could improve is the gluten free choices.

First time I have been here but it was well worth the visit. Had Sunday lunch, really delicious rare roast beef, and a delicious dessert. Plenty of choice for food and wine. Good service and helpful staff. Definitely recommend. Did not drive but for those doing so there is a car park where there are large signs asking you to enter your registration number inside the pub. Inside, there are clear signs directing you to the tablet and details of how to enter your registration number.

Couldn’t decide what to have as everything looked so good on the menu. As it was a Sunday I finally decided on a roast and it did not disappoint. Everything from the meat to the roast potatoes were just on point. Great food and lovely atmosphere. What more can you ask for.

We had a late lunch. The premises were lovely, the food was really nice and plenty of it (although I don't recommend the chips-they tasted like dry oven chips which I really don't like in any circumstances at all, so not the establishment's fault). We sat in the garden. There was plenty of room for the baby buggy. We noticed gates leading to the busy road, but there was a bolt at the top making it safe for younger children. A pleasing detail. The young man who waited on our table was really polite and respectful of my sleeping grandson.

Had my birthday drinks here and everyone had a great time. I loved it so much I returned a few days later to eat. It definitely did not disappoint. Food and staff are fab, 10/10 all round with a garden to match.

We hosted my daughter communion reception at The Plough. Sam and the team was amazing. Food was very nice. Well done to the chef & kitchen staff for delivering 62 dishes on time. The whole experience was excellent 👌

Highly recommend the beef sirloin Sunday roast. It was delicious and really hit the spot. To end the meal try the baked vanilla cheesecake or the chocolate brownie. So yummy! Wow what they achieved in this pub its just phenomenal, we have been going there as family for over 20 years, spend my daughter bday there few times, the garden looks just amazing. STAFF are very friendly and smiling 😃 bar looks fab.

Came in looking for a good Sunday lunch, was met with lovely bar staff who pointed me in the direction of a scrumptious beef roast. Meat was cooked beautifully and gravy was top draw, service was quick and I tried their delicious new Beaverton ipa which is not to be missed. All round great experience.

They charged service charge on drinks which I ordered and carried from the bar, without telling me. It’s only when I questioned the surprising amount that I had just paid that I was told service charge was enforced on Sundays. Even though it was quiet in the pub at the time. I also bought some £12 “sharer” nachos which were tiny. The nacho chips were delicious, but maybe one spoon of guac, sour cream and a sprinkle of pico de gallo. The server was fine, a standard silent adolescent dropping off a plate. The 2 second interaction (if you can call it that) hardly felt worth the £3 I spent on ‘service’. I’m sorry, but £30 for a couple of pints and a mediocre nachos is ridiculous. Even for London.

Came here for drinks with some friends and had a lovely time, they had a cocktail deal so got 2 aperol spritz for £15 so was chuffed! Nice selection of bar nibbles aswell, will definitely be back again soon

Always a great spot for something to eat, especially if the weather’s good! Have a great range of craft beer, usually including something from my favourite Gipsy Hill too!

Lovely place me and some friends stumbled into, the choice of beers was large and great. The outside was perfect for us as we're all smokers and Mitch gave some great recommendations and was funny to talk to. After we got hungry and got recommended a burger by someone else was juicy and filling

Service wasn't great Portions were small My 9 year old grandson's berger was the size of an egg yolk. My daughters creme anglaise was curdled and had to be sent back twice in the end she swapped it for ice cream.

Mother’s Day dinner did not go well. Roast beef was good everything else was awful. Service was poor no check backs didn’t clear table until asked no acknowledgments

I have been here many times and the food has been great, however I picked up 2 roast dinners to takeaway and was so disappointed, one of the roasts had no roast potatoes, both had no Yorkshire pudding and besides missing most of our dinner what was presented were very small portion of meat...I feel like I have been conned as paid £42.00 for something we didn't eat and had to order Indian takeaway instead so I've paid for dinner twice....I would suggest checking any takeaway orders, also would appreciate an explanation and a replacement would be appreciated .

I went in here off peak hours. Late lunch on Thursday. I can only fault the fries which were overcooked. Hellumi fries were cooked perfectly. Beef dripping gravy was delicious and plenty of mustard in the steak sandwich. Just how I like it.

Well kept beer and diverse clientele was a good sign but I was really impressed with the Hake with gunpowder potatoes. I'll be back... And I was back yesterday. Excellent bar snacks and great to see Landlord on tap

Food and drinks are delicious. A little on the pricey side as it's a fancier pub in Dulwich. Service was a little bit slow for the roast and a few sides.

Lovely pub in our area, ruined by a lot of kids running around using as a playground, Roast very dull, protein on both plates good, but veg lacked inspiration or skill, new potatoes passed off as roasties, flat yorkies, lazy veg and a thinner than thin gravy, staff super nice, maybe just a place for a drink in the summer
