The Plant Room in Brighton and Hove

Desayuné aquí esta mañana y me encantó. El personal fue encantador, las medidas de distanciamiento son muy buenas con alta higiene. Y la comida es realmente excelente. Comida de desayuno fresca e innovadora. Tuve los gofres de pan de maíz, ¡que eran increíbles! Aguacate, hummus, una tarta de chutney de ruibarbo y tempeh se combinaron maravillosamente en este sabroso plato de gofres.Lo disfruté mucho, gracias.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious vegan cakes and quality coffee. Very clean and tidy place. Highly recommend a visit on a cold windy day.

Popped in for a quick coffee break on trip to Brighton after milling around the lanes. Nice location, good for people watching. Very busy and popular which I always take as a good sign. Lots of cakes and coffee options available. Reasonably priced.

A warm and friendly welcome from the staff when we arrived and quick service too. We both had the house fry up with poached eggs - plenty to eat! And the coffee tasted great too. Thanks!

I was really disappointed with their service. When they were serving coffee to my table, they put a cup roughly and leave without saying anything even I said thank you. Their attitude was far from professional.

Visitamos para tomar un café por la mañana y decidimos probar los rollos de salchicha vegana y las galletas de coco que estaban deliciosos. La otra gran cosa sobre The Plant Room es el personal. Son amigables y conocedores de la comida y están más que felices de conversar. ¡Mi esposo se entusiasmó con la música y realmente disfrutó charlando con el personal no solo sobre el artista sino también sobre el vinilo! Es un café encantador y acogedor que bien merece una visita.

A lovely located cafe that was clean and presentable with lovely food and drink. The staff were so nice and polite and they were dressed so nice and fashionable that it cheered us up nicely. I wasn’t expecting it but the loos even were spotless. The dishes were nice and new and the food was fresh and tasty. I am only not putting 5 stars as the music was too loud and I couldn’t hear myself think. A well cared for place. I will make it m regular. Thank you for the pleasurable experience

Wandering around town, we’ve found this place on a hidden square. Amazingly friendly staff, making the best coffees we’ve had in Brighton!

We to the plant room for lunch. I had the feta-tomato toast, which was very good. My mom had the avocado-kimchi toast and that was tasty too. Staff was friendly. However this is more a coffee-spot than a lunchplace.

I came here with my family and the menu looked amazing with lots of options for vegans. The atmosphere and staff were lovely. I had the cornbread waffles and they were incredible! I wished I lived closer so I could go there more often!

Brighton is wall to wall coffee places and the standards vary depending on which student turns up to serve. This is rather good. Coffee is better than most and the sausage roll is worthy of note. Service is a little slow but very friendly and professional.

Sat down in the afternoon sunshine for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. The coffee was superb and the Banana Bread was to die for Nothing more needs to be said !!

Four of us enjoyed a vegetarian brunch on Sunday morning. It wasn't too busy at 11:00 when we arrived but soon filled up. Imaginative dishes, friendly service and great coffee. Highly recommended.

Coffee...best In Brighton Brunch Burrito... Avocado toast with poched egg... Scrambled eggs on toast... The staff helpful and very, very cool!!

My girlfriend and I returned to Brighton after having come last year. We enjoyed the variety of different vegan cafes and restaurants and on this trip we found the Plant Room. For me, the vegan options were exquisite and set the bar for vegan food in Brighton. The staff are friendly and accommodating and keep themselves busy, even when they aren't face with many customers. It made the place feel very clean and well kept which added to the atmosphere that made this such a fantastic visit. Next time we are in Brighton we will definitely return!

The coffee bangs- its phenomenal (coming from a trained Barista). Staff always friendly and welcoming. Haven't found a better coffee shop in Brighton as of yet.

Love the way the cafe is decorated and it has a really nice feel to it. Only had drinks but the coffee was lovely and good music playing too!

We knew that Brighton was the place to find excellent vegan food and The Plant Room did them proud. We had superb food - really very tasty. The guys running it were friendly and very tolerant of our young kids bouncing on a great long sofa. Great location on the lanes, clean, airy and with our door seating in the square.

On a freezing April afternoon, me and my furry friend were desperate to sit in the sun - The Plant Room delivers on that - loads of tables outside in the late afternoon sun. Lovely inside too. Only had an oat Capp - but it was a good one, coco de mama style and level. If only all independent coffee shops were this good ....

We visited here with our young son for breakfast 2 days in a row on a recent trip to Brighton. First day we had vegan pastries (pan au chocolate) and drinks the second day we had pancakes and a vegan breakfast. Food was really nice, with nice finishing touches which set it above the usual. Good quality teas and coffees. Trendy without being pretentious, friendly staff and felt comfortable being there with our toddler.

Popped in here for a quick coffee whilst visiting The Lanes. Fantastic flat white, smooth & creamy & delivered to the table. Lovely relaxing atmosphere.

Had the vegan soup of the day and it was awesome and very wholesome, chunky vegetables, hit the spot

This cosy café is the perfect location for a hot drink on a summer day. They have some seats outside, in a busy square in the Lanes, great spot for people watching and enjoying a true experience of Brighton. Flat White is £2.50 which is cheaper than most of the places where it usually costs £2.80 or £2.90. Coffee is good, staff are kind and happy. I had a great time here.

Visited with friends, could comfortably sit all 5 of us together. Great coffee, good prices, lovely staff and decor, with Tame Impala playing on the speakers and cute plants dotted around. Very Nice.

This was the best coffee shop we found in Brighton! Friendly, welcoming staff, wonderful coffee and gorgeous food. I recommend the cranberry, raisin and chocolate cookies.

I found this place really peaceful. Had an iced latte, it was amazing! Also had an almond croissant which was nos very good but not bad either. I recomend to take a walk on the lanes and get a coffee there.

We stumbled on this coffee shop looking for a place to have a light breakfast and was very excited to try their pastries :) I had a latte and almond croissant which were both perfect and my husband had a veg samosa and a chai latte. Now as delicious as samosa was (especially the sauce that came with it!) the chai latte however had no chai in it... So we left wondering if it was meant to be a glass of milk with cream and some cardamon on top, or someone actually forgot the add the tea :D It was not a big deal though since it gave us a good laugh and a place is really lovely :)

Great coffee shop with good food and really really good coffee. Very spacious and lovely seats by the fountain. Go and try it for yourself, you won't regret it!

Love this place - really bright, modern, clean and really friendly staff. The coffee was fab and food is homemade and a lot healthier than lots of other coffee shops. Definitely my new favourite.

Lovely cafe with smart and classy decor. Great attention to detail- even the copper pipe work was polished and shiny! Oh and great flat white and almond latte too!

Visited TPL on London Road in Brighton: Coffees are reasonably priced, strong and delicious. If you're looking for freshly made vegetarian or vegan options then you'd love TPL. I tried their vegan brownie and granola which was incredible!

I have lived in Brighton for 2 years and I can honestly say that The Plant Room never lets me down. There is nowhere nicer to pop in for a coffee and a cake in Brighton and I've tried them all....trust me. The service is always friendly and the quality of coffee and food is un-surpassed. If you want to chill and enjoy the relaxed side of Brighton in the heart of Brighton then I can't think of anywhere better.

This is one of my fave Brighton coffee shops. Staff have always been super friendly. Coffee is always delicious, lovely food PLUS glazed doughnuts PLUSSS free oat milk which is a touch. My number one when the weather is nice!

Had just an orange juice at the Plant Room during our short stay in Brighton. But the appearance and slecetion of light foods looked attractive and interesting. Would have liked to try had we not eaten prior to visiting. Look forward to it next time.

Nice ambiance and nice (if somewhat slow) staff. but what looked like nice food was overpriced for what turned out to be akin to cold and overcooked leftovers. It was a Saturday lunchtime yet we were among the only diners. Sadly we fear this incarnation may be as doomed as the last if they do not pull their socks up and also offer hot food as an option.

Fab coffee, amazing plant based food, lovely relaxing, stylish atmosphere. I've been coming here since they opened and it's such a great place to meet friends, have meetings, and bring my laptop to work over some amazing food and drink. Very accommodating and dog friendly. Otto the dachshund gives it 5 stars too!

Went for a coffee and a read while I waited for a friend to finish uni, received a warm welcome, with great coffee. Barista apologised for his latte art, but have no idea why as it was beautiful.

This is definitely my go-to place when I'm in Brighton! The coffee is fantastic, which is a must, the staff are really friendly and it's a nice place to go and chill out! Definitely, one to check out - oh and they have some great vegan snacks too 5*****

Menus were basically invisible (tiny menu on a reflective Plaque), weren’t able to make the drink I asked for (iced coffee) and staff were exasperated.

I have been in the portslade branch. Got a flat white ( ad usual ) to go for £2.50. It was good and creamy. The have a great selection of cakes and pastry and some savoury options as well. It's nice to seat outside on the little tables they have. Free wi-fi. Somewhere nice to go to work remotely.

I was meeting two mums, with 3 toddlers and a baby between us, we did not mean to go to this swanky vegan friendly cafe. Thankfully we decided to treat ourselves despite all the kids in tow and the staff were so helpful and accommodating, they really made us feel welcome despite how noisy we were etc. And one of us had just recently become a vegan and was thrilled by the choices on offer. Highly recommended if you like good coffee and food and need vegan/dairy free options (or even if you don't!).

All said in the title :) We had coffee and an amazing slice of (vegan) cake. The space is stylish, simple and beautiful.

We have visited with sole friends the cafe "the plant room". Our First impression is that the room was so spacious and original. You can see different Colour on the Wall And different variable plants. The apparence of the food was attrictive. I think the advantadge of this cafe is for veggie people. The chocolade was delicious but maybye a little expensive. And of course the room is Quiet and atmosphere was relaxing. If you want you can sit on the sofa. It was a good experience.

The staff are very good excellent service.The wife had a coffee and she said best she had ,I had a breakfast and tea and i was surprised how fast it came and how fresh it was think it was under priced for what I had tremendous well done to all

Apart from disgusting toilets with a wet floor and toilet paper all over the place there was an open staircase next to the toilet that possible led to the cellar with no warning or barrier , the tables were dirty and I know it was busy but I don't expect to clear a table before I can sit down. Follow on from this it was very very expensive .

We visited Brighton for the weekend and I was thoroughly happy at the amount of veggie places to eat and drink.

It looks like a cafe, cafe - but it is a gem. The tea was proper tea, clear and tasty. The coffee my friend had was excellent and the banana, chocolate, peanut butter cake was delicious! Service was excellent too!

Vegan cakes, great coffee, lovely staff and off course smooth service....a delight . What more do I need.

First visit but sadly customer service was a disappointment. Coffee brought to table great but when requested sugar was told to get it inside ! One would think that " No problem I will bring it out to you " as many similar places I've visited. It's the little things like this that go a long way .

They have vegan cake! Beautiful inside with plants everywhere (obviously) and lots of seating. Had an Oatly oat milk flat white which was amaaaazing. Definitely my go to cafe when I'm in Brighton!

just had coffee here. It was really great. Rich flavour and very tasty. The shop is large and well laid out - very relaxed. Good music and plenty of plants. It has a terrace too, so good place to go if it's sunny.

Nice place with great coffee but really let down by the quality of the wash facilities. I know it is relatively new but running a good eatery is about providing a complete set of required facilities.

My husband and I popped in here with our one year old for a bite to eat after visiting the aquarium. We were looking for somewhere with a bit more of a chilled Sunday vibe and that's exactly what we found. This is a vegetarian restaurant but the menu appeals to all (we are not veggies !)

Came here for a late breakfast one morning and whilst it is expensive, had a really big vegan breakfast which filled us up great for a days browsing! Would eat here again.

Interesting and super-tasty vegetarian breakfasts and fantastic coffee is a great square away from the hustle and bustle. Atmosphere was just spot on and staff were excellent too. Very good value for money and wouldn't hesitate to rush back! Thanks s million :)

Never thought id get a trip advisor acount, but i had to tell you i was blown away by this breakfast!

Myself and a few friends came here for lunch over the weekend - had started Christmas shopping early! I had always walked past it and thought it looked great.....and we were not disappointed!

I had the carrot and coriander fritters and they were so delicious. My partner had the chilli and we would both highly recommend the veggie/vegan yumminess to all of our friends. I also took my mum this week as she is such a fussy eater and she loved it. Staff were friendly, food came out in great time. Place was really clean. So nice to see such a great place opening in Brighton.

As a meat eater I was a bit dubious about checking this place out. However, everything I had was so tasty! Compliments to the chef! Staff are lovely.

I cannot recommend this lovely little place enough. The decor, the staff, the vibe, it's brill. And as for the menu... fresh, generous portions and a great range of options to choose from. (a veggie's dream!) I will be back!

This place is an utter delight. It has a very nice location hidden away in an inviting but cosy square of pretty shops and cafés. It has this gorgeous dolphin fountain that sets the tone of the relaxed atmosphere inside the Plant room. Fortunately, it has lots of Windows which allows lots of light to come into the dining area and reflects off all the lovely green plants surrounding the inner restaurant. I ordered the Carrot and Coriander fritters, which were delicious! The style of the menu and of the food when it came out, really matches the interior of this place. Overall, a very refreshing place to come and eat or even just to hang out and get delicious coffee. Will definitely be coming again.

We found the Plant Room in a lovely little square in the Lanes. You can sit inside or out in the Square. The lay out means you feel like you have plenty of space. The coffee was delicious and they also serve a range of pastries and cakes. Great pit stop whilst exploring the Lanes.

Great Cafe and Shopeeeee Attached... inside and outside seating with the sound of water frim the Fountain outside in the Square..... Great Staff, friendly and nothing is toooooo much trouble.......... keep up the Good works.. Guys & Gals... Well worth a Visit if you want a stop off in Town......

I really loved this place. Decor is great, the staff are friendly and the cakes are delicious! We came in twice on our weekend in Brighton.

I first visited The SPOTLESS Plant Room a few months ago when it first opened. The coffee and variety of cakes was wonderful. All fresh, served by great efficient friendly staff for whom nothing was a problem. When recently in Brighton I returned to find improvement in what I thought was already PERFECT. A extended variety in food, foliage everywhere and extended seating capacity, so no one was disappointed. They are also having music evenings which are licensed. Well done TPR going from strength to strength.

Coffee here is great served by excellent staff who have no problem serving you with a smile. The cafe is in Brighton Square in the heart of Brighton Lanes. Seating inside and out. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for great service, great coffee and cake, and a chilled experience away from the hustle and bustle. Order at the counter inside and then the drinks and food will be brought to your table.

Fancy a good cup of tea and a browse at some quirky homewares then this is a great place to go. Right in the heart of the lanes in Brighton Square. Independent shops are what Brighton is all about and this one is a gem.

This coffee place now occupies what used to be a sweet shop I think (the name escapes me) and they've made really good use of the space. This is another fashionable coffee place with usual styling but the location is great and they're really making use of Brighton Square with some lovely seating around the fountain, great for people watching!! Coffee was good, service friendly and prices reasonable. Will definitely be coming back.
