This is a pub, not a hotel. They put on regular and very good music events and serve a mean Sunday roast.

sent completely the wrong food, I was so happy with my previous order that I have been telling everyone to order a roast from you. I won't be telling them that now. very disappointed 😞

order was wrong and delivered late due to driver not knowing where to go even though the restaurant is 2 minutes away

outstanding food taste i thought i only ordered 2 mac and cheese once it turned up it came with 2 salad and 2 garlic bread and the taste is amazing so happy definitely ordering from here again !!

Monster Movie Nights are brilliant and I intend on going to them in the future. The hosts really make it fantastic. Always relevant to the film, decorations and some cocktails. It's a brilliant atmosphere. They should have more events by them! Food it generally on at the pig. So i dont presume food will be served. But it seems like on the movie nights, it's always served. Service at the bar can be good. But it can be slow when they don't have enough staff behind the bar, especially if it's a busy event. You definitely need to come to the Monster Movie Nights!

I attended this place on Saturday 15th June and had a great time there with friends and my girlfriend. However the attitude of the barman on Saturday evening left a lot to be desired. I suggest he looks for employment elsewhere or removes the chip off his shoulder before someone does it for him.

Used to drink here and played many a gigs...20 years ago. That it's still a great place to hang out and see cool bands is awesome

Great venue for live music. I'd definitely go again, the sound in the back room was brilliant.

Great food quality and great portions. We were visiting Hastings for a couple of days and we were looking for a place to have dinner with our son while having a drink. Staff were helpful and the jerk chicken was amazing.

Amazing night out reggae and ska night brilliant djs guest dj flown in from Germany I believe knew his stuff !

Great food, great service. Only slightly late, not enough to complain but we were given a note from restaurant apologising for the delay and given 2 mini bottles of prosecco for free. Can't fault their customer service.

Didn't eat here this time but will soon. Open mic night, Great local talent and a good pint. Friendly bar staff and a lively sing a long atmosphere.

The pig missed out a meal from the order so I called them and they rectified the issue as soon as they could and gave a complimentary bottle of wine for the mistake we have ordered from the pig many times and this was their first mistake so can't complain too much as mistakes occasionally happen .

Lovely people Great food and a variety of tasty vegan options. Portion sizes are very genuine and there is always a live band, dj, open mic or some event. Family and friendly atmosphere:)

Absolutely delicious roast dinner. We had roast beef, the meat was pink just how we like it. The veg, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and potatoes were perfect. Delivered with care served in a tray gravy on the side really well presented. Five stars

Really yummy food, great portion sizes and they even called to check something in the order before making it. Great service & good value.

Sadly this is yet another place in Hastings that's definately worth avoiding. The food & atmosphere are average, but thats not the problem or the main reason this place is such a no go zone. Some of the locals who frequent this place are a much bigger problem, and they seem to be in there all the time, especially just after dark when the place is almost empty. Their small minded obnoxious local mentality turns normal polite conversation into a full scale argument because of ridiculous personal issues they harbour which actually causes them to create problems with complete strangers who make the mistake of popping in for a quick drink, purely because they fail to agree with their sad misguided and shallow irrelevant opinions. which is difficult not to laugh at. They are exactly the type of people/losers who waste what little money they have from their monthly benefit government handouts on alcohol, and then have the audacity to complain they can't afford to pay their energy bills & they harbour a resentment toward anyone whom they imagine is not 'one of them', because they are clearly struggling to prop up a drinking problem, and they resent anyone who seems less patriotic than they imagine themselves to be, or slightly better off financially, while facing all the other easily avoidable problems & misery that having a self destructive alcohol addiction creates, jealousy and misguided belief of the entitlement they feel they are missing out on. While one can only feel sorry for people who have allowed themselves to sink to such a low level of existence, one must also understand people like that are potentially dangerous once they've had a few drinks, in a pathetic & comical but unpleasant sort of way, the alcohol gives them the dutch courage to voice their ignorant resentful opinions, and sadly that means they should be carefully avoided in order to side step needless ridiculous pathetic & pointless conflict, with exactly the kind of person the planet would be far better off without. Which unfortunately means this particular pub is a place to avoid. When in fact the establishment should be vigilant enough to keep people like that out, because although they may be regulars who spend a small amount every day, they are also territorial creatures of habit, who feel obliged to make customers who would probably spend much more than them feel uncomfortable unwelcome and intimidated, mostly because they are clearly nothing like them and so they make it clear they would sooner they left the premises, because people like that fear change and instantly despise anyone who might bring something challenging to the place they feel is on their turf, when they are actually just an unattractive piece of furniture that drinks beer. Which is of course totally out of touch with reality, as well as very sad & absolutely pathetic. Unfortunately A place like this will only ever change & improve for the better if somebody buys it and renovates it completely in order to take it up market, which would obviously attract better clientele, and definitely make much more money. As the place that used to be the Smugglers inn just a few meters away has clearly proven since it became a busy Indian restaurant. We can only hope a similar fate awaits The Pig in the not too distant future, as it is certainly an improvement that is long overdue.

The Sunday roast was amazing. I had slow cooked roast belly of pork. It came with 6 different vegetables roast potatoes and gravy served in individual containers. Fresh large portion worth the cost. It looked and tasted amazing. My dessert sticky toffee pudding with icecream. Delicious needed Siesta once food digested.

Absolutely amazing restaurant that go above and beyond to make sure customers are happy and well fed, even when the delivery apps have failed miserably! Food is amazing, especially the Sunday roasts, but all round brilliant service. Thanks guys.

It was so nice! Beautifully dished up in foil dishes so didn’t bother to use plates, it was really hot, gravy was lovely and thick, overall, more like a home cooked roast! Definitely highly recommend!!

The food was really nice, delivered early, really nicely packaged, not just wrapped in paper, but beautifully boxed. It was hot, fresh and very tasty! I havnt ordered from here before but will most definitely order from them again! I heartily recommend them. Price wise, they were really value for money, basically we got cod, chips, mushy peas + tartare sauce, all one order, not separate items, for a little more than I’ve paid just for cod!! Well impressed!!

Such a shame, because last time I ordered a roast was very nice and on time. They've changed the vegetarian option as well, from the veggie Wellington to this pile of loose lentil and nuts, was awful. Like cat litter! Please pig change the veggie option back!

1st time order from The Pig .. Food was really good great selection n presentation.. tasty..everything apart from the pork.. So we will probably go for chicken or beef next time.. The 'slow' roast pork belly was anything but ! Slow roasted meat should fall apart soft n succulent.. Unfortunately this square chunk of pork was more like a giant school rubber.. Sorry guys its a shame because everything else was perfect 🥰 .. But everything else was so delicious it's obvious this was a slip up and we will definitely be ordering again.. 😁

Sunday Roast is difficult for delivery and wasn’t getting my hopes up!! However, this Sunday roast was absolutely delicious. I had the roast chicken (if you order for delivery state if you don’t want bones) A fantastic selection of vegetables. All fresh. Cauliflower cheese, mashed swede, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, red cabbage, carrots….Yorkshire pud and the best stuffing I’ve had. Loads of lovely thick tasty gravy. I also had the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream and that was just as yummy. It’s not a pub that I like going in, but on a lazy Sunday I highly recommend the roast.

All food was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the battered tofu and chips. They had just ran out of blue sauce for our order but sent an apology note and free dessert which more than made up for it!

Didn't eat, went to a gig, nice beers and gig was great, could have had another person serving as long waits as the night went on.

Bloody brilliant roast. Last week roast beef, and this week roast pork. After the disappointment of Yates and the Anchor all that's left to say is The Pig provides a wonderful, well-seasoned roast and a pint for under £20. For me, it's a gem and well worth a visit on Sunday. As you can see from the photos it's a plateful with seven or eight different veg. Keep up the great work...

Genuinely one of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had. Top marks. I was honestly surprised by the quality, portion size and attention to detail for a music venue. No cask ale but reasonable choice of keg.

Gravy was missing and the slow roast pork belly portion was tiny shame

food is good. Delivery was bad. £3.99 delivery and he didn't ring the doorbell, telephoned and said he was outside. For £3.99 I expect the delivery to my flat door.

The loaded chips are a very generous portion we did not need them as a side to the main meals. The enchiliadas came with a separate box of salad and sour cream. The desserts where great.

Decent sized roast, im a fussy sod, i usually cook my own but cant be assed at times. If they purchased high quality beef and made proper gravy this would be the best in town. However lovely dinner thanks guys
