Food was beyond and amazing, and affordable. Cannot wait to come back.

The service is always amazing here and the food is faultless. Visited with friends , we are a tricky bunch some vegetarians, a vegan and gluten free but all catered for. Have used them since for takeaways and just as delicious!

Does not cater for the indian taste buds. The potatoes in masala dosa had no flavour and vegetable biriani was tasteless. The sweets were not that impressive either. Overall experience was very under whelminjng.

visited this restaurant yesterday for my frnds birthday I made a reservation at 7:45 however i reached at 8pm still the table was not ready. thn after waiting for a long time they gave us a table . but after 5min thy made us to change the table saying it is reserved . did not give us a napkin at all. while i see all the other tables had napkins and presented well. felt like indians are not treated well in Indian restaurant.non of the servers had smile in their face. I really had a bad experience

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite having a reservation, the table was poorly organized, and the server seemed untrained in providing proper service. Additionally, the food was overly sweet. Overall, it fell short of expectations.

First time I've been. Chicken biryani, though well prepared, was very boring and fairly tasteless, as was the veg curry that came with it, that was mainly potato and cabbage. Was a takeaway. Disappointing, as I had been led to expect better. Same price as most places, but they do a better biryani at Kassa in St Leonards, where I will always go till I find an even nicer one.

We have all as a family used flavours for many years we also had recommended this Indian to friends so all in all we have all spent a kings ransom here. We were extremely regular users of not only eating in but take away too. We are creatures of habit and order the same every time so know the prices off by heart. Sadly this time after checking my bank receipt online as didn’t really hear what the man had said when he took my order realised that it was £8 more this time than 2 weeks previous !!! Not to mention sadly the food quality has gone down hill rapidly the onion bahjis that we ordered were refried so much they disintegrated when we tried to bite them. The chicken jalfrezi was bland we are bitterly disappointed 😞. We won’t be eating here again

Ordered a takeaway -Delhi Style Makhani Murgh (Chicken) & Set Meal for 1 Makhani was 4 small pieces of chicken swimming in a large container of sauce, tasty but not as expected. The set meal for one we asked for extra spicy and received vindaloo, laced with chilli powder, it just was not right, way overpriced and a real disappointment. I have dined in this restaurant hundreds of times in the past and hard to believe that the takeaway food came from the same restaurant. The bread was excellent, coconut and plain nan, 10/10, the rest was truly a let down and for this reason I can honestly say I would not order a takeaway again from here. Sorry,

Fantastic Curry House, visit a few times a year and it's always brillant - Go for the Thursday and Sunday 5 Course Menu and always end up taking half home, so much good food! Really reccomend this place!

Trust me still waiting for food. It’s almost 121 minutes we are seeking for food.. Finally got food after 135 minutes. This not at all authentic Indian food. Tasteless n very sweet food. After asking reason behind making it sweet, reply was “ it is British Indian cuisine “. WE ARE NOW RESTING IN PEACE 🙏 Not at all recommended for Hardcore Indian cuisine lover.

Interesting and tasty wide ranging menu well prepared, served and at a good price... I was with a group of eight and several full tables near all well catered for!! Well done!

One short waiter gave us very bad service. Food was cold, tasteless, and burnt smelled. Chicken curry was to much salty and oily. Also we understood- manager have charged extra money in biil !! We will not go there again.

Had a delivery today. Ordered set meal for one . Chose Lamb madras Saag aloo It came with 2 onion bhaji , pilau rice , poppadoms, onion salad , mint sauce and plain naan bread . All the food was amazing . Enough for 2 meals . Piping hot . Fast delivery. Ordered online. £16.95 .. I will definitely be back . Thanks for a lovely meal .

I came here because it was recommended and it wasn't bad. I had a chilli chicken marsala and saffron pilaf rice. The rice was excellent, moist, with the very faintest flavour of saffron and cloves. The main dish was fiery, as promised, with lots of green chillies. These were insanely hot which rather overpowered the other flavours in the dish, but overall it was very nice. The staff were great, helpful and polite. The restaurant is a little out of the way but seemed very popular with locals, including some Morris dancers, hungry from participating in the Jack in the green parade.

Ordered Dal, rice and Sag Aloo with Tandoori Chicken as a take away. I think they had forgot to put the flavours of India in the cooking. It was appalling no flavour whatsoever. Even the chicken was dry. The dog was just as swimming pool of synthetic yellow. The rice had a texture as if cooked and re headed from lunch time. Won’t be ordering from here again. It’s appalling that the restaurant searches this serve such tasteless food and not be brought to their attention.

Had a meal for one delivered ,there was enough food for two .food was excellent and the waiting time from ordering to delivery was half n hour Well worth the wait. And reasonably priced

Eaten in the restaurant and had take away, honestly it’s the best Indian I think I’ve ever had, friendly staff, lovely experience. Asked for no coriander and they accidentally put it in but replaced it no problems, great food and service.

The food was lovely and came out quick considering there were 14 of us celebrating a birthday would have given a 5 but unfortunately it was freezing cold in the restaurant with just one calor gas heater on low to heat quite a large restaurant I have never been as cold eating somewhere which was a shame there was another large party there who all said the same.

We went to our table which was meant to be for 14, for my husbands birthday an had given us two tables one behind the other which is not very good seeing it was booked for 14, we were all so cold that we had to sit in our coats, we asked for heating several times as it wasn’t on at all and they bought down a calor gas heater that was by the bar, and it was put at the end of the table which was no good to everyone else, after about 10 mins it was taken away as they said it was out of gas, so many of us and another large party asked for heating they put the thermostat on, and it warmed slightly, the service was good and the food was lovely but being so cold we left instead of staying for drinks

Ordered a takeaway for my birthday and we were so disappointed the used to be one of the best Indian restaurants/takeaway in Hastings the food was so bland and tasteless we would have been better buy a supermarket curry sauce. Half the food is still in the fridge the rest is in the bin Also the masala chip just tasted like soggy frozen chips with pepper on £42 wasted. NEVER AGAIN

I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening with 3 friends. The service was friendly and efficient. We had a range of dishes, all were delicious. The wine was lovely and reasonably priced. A great evening and I will be returning ! Because our meal was so delicious we used them for a takeaway the following week , 17 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food.

Went for my sisters birthday, all the food was exceptional, especially the onion baijis and tandoori chicken. The staff were super friendly and welcoming.

We ate here the weekend of the bonfire and fireworks. By a mile the best Indian meal we have ever had. We had the mixed grill for two. We live in Folkestone and we’re going back this Saturday for my wife’s birthday. Well worth the 80 mile round trip! It is top drawer.

Lovely food, service and atmosphere. We went as a party and had the banquet which was really lovely and good value.

I have struggled to find a good Indian restaurant since moving here 3 years ago. Today was my first time ordering from here! I had a home delivery, set meal for one. It was absolutely delicious! The lamb in the madras was succulent and perfect. The Bombay potatoes were so yummy! I would order again! Highly recommend!! Thank you :)

Food was excellent, the midweek "5 course offer" for under £20 a head was very good value. The staff were all very friendly. For a Thursday evening, the place was quiet, o ly about 5 tables in use, which I really can't understand why they weren't busier.

My friend and I went for the banquet deal at £18.99. Every course was delicious and the cooking skills were amazing, certainly bringing the flavours of India spices to our palates. The staff were excellent, attentive and super friendly.We both agreed thus was a 10 out of 10 experience in terms of cuisine, customer care and value.Well done FOI team superb!

Amazing Veggie Dhansak - really tasty and the right amount of spice. Lots of good food - the tarka dhal was very nice too. This restaurant serves good food that is really tasty, if you like a traditional curry restaurant.

Yesterday, I ordered prawns puri , though ordered came on time , the puri and prawns where packed together in one container so puri was completely soked in prawns curry and couldn't enjoy the actual crispy puri.

We had a terrible takeaway from this restaurant. For a start they got the order wrong. We ordered a chicken tikka main, and they sent a chicken birianni instead. The rest of the mains were over cooked chicken dishes, the chicken had obviously been cooked some hours before we ordered. In short the whole meal went straight in the bin. I will never use this place again.

Much quietee than i expected for a friday. Maybe they get more business via takeaway. Place looks very nice clean and well maintained. Decor is lovely. Visited after a recommendation but nothing stood out about the meal average food average service. Unfortunately not an average price. Wasnt value for money. I dont mind paying for a really good curry but this wasnt it.

Absolutely delicious food! Ordered the paneer pathia which was nice and spicy. Would've given 5 stars but the bhajis were almost cold for the 2nd time. Maybe a box would keep them hot rather than a paper bag. But overall really flavoursome food, nd very enjoyable thank you.

Some of the food was okay but they served me a chapati in a plastic bag, absolutely disgusting. I could never recommend food being served in plastic.

A large party of us booked and had a really fantastic evening. Flavours of India are great hosts and everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Thank you!

I had a chicken phaal. It was indeed extremely hot, but well within my skill. However, I suggest you do not attempt the phaal if you have a weak constitution.

We read all reviews for this & others in Hastings,we are so glad we chose this restaurant,a friendly greeting on arrival & we explained that we are not big eaters,the guy that took our order was so nice & explained about dishes,my Husbands preferred dish is chicken Dhansak,I decided on Chicken Rogan Josh,we didn’t wait too long for our food which was delicious & the Dhansak met with Husbands approval. Very enjoyable indeed thank you Flavours of India

Have not been here in years and went with a group of friends but we were very disappointed. Food was bland, service was polite but slow and portions were tiny. Wouldn't return or recommend.

Always an absolute delight, great food and lovely service l cannot think of a reason not to go.

Love this place, staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. My only gripe is that the portion sizes are too small on the set menu. One would expect the bigger container for a main not the small. Would recommend.

Food arrived early which is the only good news. Fervors of India more like bland not Indian. Food was dry, no spicy at all and chapati was like rubber. Could do better!!!⁶

This was our first visit to Flavours of India. We booked via telephone using buyagift voucher as I was treating my partner for his birthday. The owner lamented his financial difficulties to us when I presented my voucher, saying that buyagift took too much commission and he proceeded to try and convince me not to use the voucher value but instead to deduct what I paid for the voucher off our bill!! This would have meant that I would be paying for items on the bill that should have been included in the voucher! At one point there was shouting and swearing coming from the kitchen as well, the owner left our table quickly and the atmosphere after that was just awful. The food was delicious which was one consolation however I felt uncomfortable and tense and bad for my partner that his birthday experience had been tainted. At the end of our meal we were brought a bill without our voucher deducted and I had to ask a waiter to redo our bill. We were charged for part of our bill that should have been included in our voucher but at this point I didn’t want to make a further fuss and spoil what otherwise was a tasty meal. Sadly, we won’t be returning to this restaurant because of the owner’s greed, dishonesty and lack of hospitality and hosting skills. We were fully entitled to use our voucher and should have been made to feel welcome, comfortable and treated with respect and courtesy, sadly we had a negative and uncomfortable experience. Very disappointing.

I had a lovely meal. The staff are new since my last visit, but they were very good and didn't keep us waiting. My fish thali was delicious! As was my partners goan fish curry. Both meals were perfectly cooked. I wasn't sure about the tuna pakora though. but I will definitely return. thank you!

This is a special venue for us. We had a wonderful Ruby Wedding anniversary here and this was another special anniversary for us. The restaurant is spacious and the music calming, enhancing the experience. The food is second to none. We had a wonderful tikka meal and the staff were so very helpful and friendly. It was an absolute pleasure to eat here again and I can't recommend it highly enough in terms of ambience, service way beyond anything you will experience anywhere else, and a generally excellent dining experience. The location is central and it is in my opinion the finest Indian dining experience anywhere in town. I would like to thank the Manager and his staff for making the evening so special for us.

I was once bemoaning the lack of good Indian restaurants in Hastings when a friend recommended this restaurant. I was very impressed and now often book this for birthdays etc when I'm visiting my family in Sussex. The food is very good and the service is exceptional. My most recent visit occurred in January to mark a special family anniversary and as the usual the food was superb! We are visiting again next week for my sisters birthday. Would highly recommend!

Great place to get some Indian food on a Monday night. Not to busy and good service. I used the toilet 4 times because I had too many drinks before hand, access to the toilets was free, which is nice.

After living in Hastings for many years I have at last tried this restaurant. I was not disappointed. Each course was bursting with flavour. I will definitely be back.
