Castle View Cafe in Hastings

I had a wonderful meal at the cafe today! The food was absolutely delicious — every bite was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Compliments to the chef for such a great job. Thank you for the amazing experience!

It’s been 10 minutes since it’s said it’s been delivered and i have not got my food.

Nice little cafe And the food is nice And the staff are pleasant and friendly I would recommend the castle cafe , i have been there a few times with family and will go again in future .

They put ketchup in my baguette I didn’t ask for this

Good quality breakfast baguette however it only had 1 egg spread sparingly across the whole baguette. It needs to have at least 2 eggs so every bite contains all 3 ingredients 😊 The Chips were the typical standard. Bacon tasted excellent.

1 of the very few fairly priced cafes left in Hastings - very good service and lovely Freshly made brekky. GREAT VALUE !! (My only improvement would be to buy a better quality sausage) But it doesn't stop me coming ! Keep up the hard work - as a former Cafe owner my self it's great to see. X

Basic cafe food nothing special is what it says on the tin

Didn’t arrive according to app driver in close behind ours, no one at that address as we went to find it(don’t see the point of delivery if I have to go looking) neighbour next to that address saw driver arrive and get no answer didn’t double check details obviously yet was shown on app as delivered Am I had ordered to eat before work and now don’t have time to reorder or cook just having my money back is not good enough I feel sorry for the business and this isn’t the first time I’ve had this

Chilled and quiet at 9:30 on a Saturday morning, no loud background music which was nice. Great place to relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Lots of options on the menu, loved the beans on fried bread.

Went as a large group and the staff quickly accommodated for us despite being busy. We made little faults in our order that needed amending, despite the inconvenience this may have caused them the staff remained really friendly and professional. The is one of those reliable cafes you could go to with friendly pricing. Highly recommend!!

Very poor food got carrot cake and didn't look nothing like it kids meal only 3 chicken nuggets salad to go with jacket potatoe was just small amount off lettuce and tomato very poor never again!!!!!

I've been going recently to enjoy their castle breakfast with a nice tasty big sausage and excellently cooked chips. It's back to being my favourite again after a period when they had gone a bit wayward, but after a couple of years I gave them a second chance, and I'm not looking back now. The staff really care about the quality of food served.

Don’t bother if you have any dietary restrictions. There were five of us looking for brunch, walked in to an almost empty cafe, to ask about whether they offer gluten free options. As soon as I said the word gluten there was an immediate shake of the head and a “no”. Totally uninterested in accommodating dietary needs and clearly didn’t want our business. There are many regular breakfast items that are GF, (bacon, hash browns, eggs etc), but presumably they just couldn’t be bothered with any hassle. If you’re looking for somewhere that will cater, go to the Grumpy Cook just round the corner. Giving two stars as seems unfair to give one when we didn’t actually eat in there.

Great burger as always. Chips were soggy and under cooked. Small portion of chips for the price.

Asked for a cheese salad baguette I’ve got yesterday’s warmed up chewy soft baguette, cheap packet, white tasteless cheese, one slice of tomato and a shredded piece of lettuce no cucumber no onion no anything that would contribute towards the salad not good quality at all

I went alone and it was my first try. The food was delicious. It was the best coffee I have ever had in Hastings. The staff was very polite, helpful and friendly. I am thinking of going again with my friends.

So disappointed with todays delivery. The breakfasts were cold by the time they got here. The Tuna Baguette had salad in despite not asking for it and it never having had it when I've ordered before, the hashbrowns were burnt and soggy and the eggs were something between an omelette and fried.

Not cafés fault but whoever delivered the food they didn't deliver it to the correct address I than had to hunt down who got my order but lucky the nice gentleman who got my order didn't open it and rang my number which was on the receipt. Something the delivery driver maybe should have done as he sent it 10 houses away from correct address. Aside from that once I went and got my food it was very nice.

Unfortunately they let themselves down by cheap products :(

Food delivered to wrong house and thrown on step outside. Had to collect freezing cold food from neighbour several doors away.

Great sausages and hash browns but dry fried eggs were disappointing.

Fantastic breakfast, good portion size and cooked to perfection. The Weiner was very impressive!! Perfect for a Sunday morning hangover. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Hastings.

Disappointing experience today, will not be returning. Previously received table service, cafe is quiet today, sat awkwardly waiting to be served then ordered at counter. ‘Sometime we serve, sometimes not’ she said. Unfortunately I did not have telepathic powers today. She made me get own drink, had to ask for glass. Had lovely breakfast, not cheap though. Then…3 people come in and get table service and a smile! No questions asked. No waiting for them. I am very upset and tbh take this quite personally. Face does not fit. Plenty of other cafes I will go to in the future. Not this one.

The food here is absolutely amazing. If I lived in or near Hastings I'd go here alot. We had 6 different dishes and all were cooked perfectly and quick. Great place

Really nice and tasty cheese omelette with plenty of chips and beans. Efficient and friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

Impossible for words to describe the deliciously scrumptious breakfast these people make. First ordered one to home then went in there to eat. Happy smiley faces quick service beautiful drinks and a right handsome bit of tucker. 10 out of 10 at least someone in hastings knows how to cook properly . Love it

We have not received any discount as assured we would with there stamps we have collected after making multiple food orders. Why not?

Had a couple of hours to kill by the seafront and literally just google maps’ed nearby eateries and came across this place. So glad we did, food absolutely delicious and service really quick and friendly. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, and we even had sunshine which was an added bonus. Shame we don’t visit Hastings very often but next time we do will definitely be back here to eat. 🙌🏻

Excellent experience. Had large breakfasts delivered as a treat and was not disappointed. Our food was hot and cooked perfectly, would highly recommend. Nice delivery driver too!

Must try them. Real value for the money you pay. Very good portions. Omelets fluffy and full of food. Excellent portions of chips. Nice and hot on arrival. Would really take some beating. My favorite take away.

It’s an English breakfast. Was much needed and did the job.

We both enjoyed our really hot meals. Both the omelette and burger were made to perfection. Cant fault anything from there.

The omelette was light and fluffy. The burger was good. Cakes were delicious. With an early delivery I give them 5 stars all round.

The food is really well thought about. Cakes chocolate sponge and Carrot cake fresh. To die for. Only one thing that has started recently, when making the omelette getting taste of previous omelette cooked.

The food was nice but stone cold. It was made on time but there was no driver to bring the food, so by the time it did arrive 18 mins late from the last set time, it had sat around getting cold. I was very disappointed as all other times of ordering the meal has been good

I wanted to live less than one. Actually had the audacity to tell me, extremely rudely my order is wrong and it's MY FAULT!!! ME!!! I SCREWED THE ORDER UP!! the rudest service I have ever received. STEER WELL CLEAR!!!!!!! DO NOT YOUR MONEY.

Lovely fresh chicken salad. Delicious omelette. Chips were basic but fine. Side salad transported in with omelette and chips was brown mush unfortunately. Unknown if was just because of being transported too close to hot food or old.

Great food, arrived super late but don't think that was cafe's fault- think it was due to JustEat driver availability. Could have done with being kept warmer better too, delivery driver/cafe didn't pack it in anything but a paper bag so was coldish when arrived. Will definitely order again though, great quality.

Food is ok, generous portions but average quality. Not sure if they started to prep the food before the driver was assigned as food was just warm. And they forgot my blueberry muffin.

Totally the wrong smoothies delivered. Also ordered a flapjack and they delivered a muffin. The remaining food was also totally cold on arrival. Will never use again.

Sick as a dog after eating from an apparently nice to eat place only to spend days of regret after. Bad food. Lied about ingredients or very bad at cooking. Neither of us are our meals and the coffee was disgusting .don't waste your time on pretty renovations.

Very poor service we ordered a delivery from them when the food arrived it was missing an entire meal I called the cafe to be asked would you like to order through Uber I then had to explain that I had already ordered and it was missing they then suggested ordering again and they would send it why would I want to give them more money for stuff not to arrive the lady on the phone didn't care and didn't even try to apologise

Food is quite nice. The chicken is processed though, not like nice actual chicken. And could have atleast put in some guacamole with quasadilla or option to add atleast even if I paid a bit extra but nothing, so turned out a bit plain. Was alright though.

Ok food, terrible service. I went in today and the hot chocolate and panini were ok, though I was charged extra for soya milk. The service, however, is awful. It is pretty small and there were at least 2 servers working but it still took them over 25 minutes to notice I was sat with an empty plate, waiting to pay. I was going to have a cake too, but didn't want to give them more money, plus I was a bit worried about just how long it's be waiting. The servers were within veiw the whole time, just stood chatting to each other. It took so long for them to notice, the table of 5 next to me were able to receive and finish their meal. I shan't be returning unless I have an entire day to kill.

What a lovely team at this café. We ordered a takeaway lunch and it was all beautifully packed and tasted great on the beach! Nothing fancy, just good service, good food and good price - we'll be back!

Arrived just after they opened. Warm welcome. Order small English breakfast and it was still huge. Well cooked and presented. Not evenly hot but I prefer not to burn my mouth! Too many baked beans for me & my husband.

Great food, lovely polite, smiling staff. Definitely would recommend.

The allday veggie breakfast was freshly cooked and you can choose what items you have.

Reaonably priced all day breakfasts.
