What a clicky pub The bald bloke behind the bar has his select friends and treats them better than everyone else by making sure there near the TVs or get the pool table first the female staff look you up and down like your a alien I will never go there again at least the tower don’t treat you like that

Came here on a date with my partner, Grant couldn’t have been more welcoming. He took the time to guide us through the drinks, although I settled on one of the £10 fishbowls as they are such value for money then thrashed my partner at pool!

Food was spot on, atmosphere was great and Sam the bartender was absolutely hilarious! Nice little spot tucked away in Hastings

New manager seems uninterested, been coming to the pub since craft union reopened it and the new managers were lovely and well suited. No events on, no food, and no atmosphere. Wont be returning until something drastically changes.

I feel you will always read negative reviews from past bias customers, attendees or false reviews like (Alan M) being one, that feel they have a loyalty to past landlords, and will not give new ones a chance. Grant is a fantastic pub landlord, and always makes everyone feel welcome. It’s an open house for old and new consumers, who need a good watering hole :) it shows massively that his past regulars from a previous pub have followed him near and far. Craft union will dictate the products on offer, so this information isn’t negative or positive. The beers are the same as most pubs, just better priced ;) We recently went up for Easter Sunday, and I took my family up. My wife and I felt very comfortable, the locals made us feel welcome and Grant was a fantastic host. Liz was also great at making us feel welcome. My son enjoyed the football and my daughter kept challenging me at pool. Can’t wait to return!

Went for a few drinks and a game of pool, tried some of the excellent (and recommended!) selection behind the bar and had a chat with the friendly and helpful new managerial folks. Seems like there are plenty of events, raffles, bingo etc. to make it a regular visit. Will definitely be returning!

This used to be a great back street pub where you meet your friends but just recently it’s gone down hill, you never feel welcome the governor never seems to be interested in greeting people unless you’re a friend,there was always a good selection of ales but not anymore and there never pulled off,unfortunately there has been better managers it’s a shame but craft union seem to have their own ideas perhaps they need to listen their customers young and old,

Another fantastic evening at The North Star with The Cockney Sparrows knees up. Matt and Crystal are brilliant hosts and they have a wonderful team behind the bar. The pub is spotless and very welcoming, wish it was on my doorstep and not 70 miles away.

A nice little pub situated off the busy Bohemia Road. A good long bar with ample seating situated behind the bar. A good range of drinks available on tap. Friendly bar staff.

It's a well lit establishment which is absolutely spotless and run very afficently, the staff are a sheer delight, open fire snug, garden, pool table , Juke box , it has it all , the patrons are a mixed diverse bunch who are extremely friendly, this is a tavern you can bring a family or perhaps that special someone in your life, and to top it all it's absolutely dog friendly can't fault The North Star loved it I'll be back!!👍

Really pleasant and friendly. They were extremely accomodating with regards to our party of 8 which included a disabled young man and another with special dietary needs. The food was also excellent and the portions were a good size too.

A hidden jam of a pub ,off the main drag but at the heart of the community. Well kept ales and the most efficient bar staff I have ever meant. Prices are keen,and the landlord friendly.
