A lovely independent cinema with polite and helpful staff. One star lost for the seats with folding tables that make it very difficult to stand up again.

Lovely meal and a nice atmosphere. Becky kept the drinks flowing 👍🏼 and the girls serving our meal were very attentive. Thank you all.😊

We only used the restaurant on this occasion for some olives, nachos and prosecco! It's so super cute that I wished I had taken some photos. The young lady serving us was so super friendly and very helpful, the iced/chilled glasses were a welcomed touch! Prices although perhaps not catering for the tightest of budgets I felt were more than reasonable for what you get

Great venue, reclining seats and food service to your seat makes the Lounge top of our list for any future films...

Went to the picture house with my family and ordered 5 burgers they were amazing so congrats to the kitchen team and the head chef!

First time I've sat in The Lounge.. what a treat! Took my Mum and we enjoyed bubbly rosé with our popcorn! Great to have our local independent cinema

Excellent independent cinema catering for all tastes in film from classics to sci-fi - lounge with reclining seats, also refurbished Screen 1. Lovely staff plus you can order drinks and snacks to have served at your seats. A great asset to uckfield and surrounding areas. Highly recommend

Went to see Back To The Future, as well as the film being incredible, the staff were very kind and even allowed a collaboration.

Excellent Sony 4k projection paired to a Dolby 7.1 surround system makes for a very very immersive film experience .. add in their special events from meal and film ticket deals to cream teas with film in one of the 3 separate screens on offer, and you have a wonderful 21st privately run cinema. Emails and a Facebook group can keep you up to date along with online booking, and here you are, a real 21st C success story.

A lovely little cinema with an easy free car park nearby, which is a plus. Comfy reclining seats, food and drinks brought to you by friendly staff, latest films, what more would you want?!

They invited me to dinner at this restaurant (I didn't visit the cinema) and I really liked it. You can order light and well-garnished dishes for a more informal dinner. There are live music performances that I am told are very frequent and liven up the evening. The decoration, as it could not be otherwise, is set in the world of cinema. Everything is cozy. I left very satisfied.

Always a great experience at the Picture House. Took a group of octogenarian to see Kinky Boots, the musical - they loved it.

Have been a resident of Uckfield for 30+ years and as such have been a regular patron of the Cinema. We were due to go to the Lounge tonight, but unfortunately my wife has contracted Covid today. I rang to see if my tickets could be deferred as it would be irresponsible to attend and was met with a friendly voice, who tried to help. Unfortunately she could not, as we, apparently need to give 24 hours notice to cancel. I did explain that I wasn't after a credit, just simply that I could use those tickets on another day. She put me through to the manager, who although obviously briefed by her colleague just abruptly asked How she could help. Then when a repeated what I said =, she simply just said its company policy and that's already been explained to you! So nothing can be done. I assume I will get a refund for the drinks I've ordered ? Or is that company policy to charge for something I haven't drunk as well as a seat I've not sat in? Very short sighted and a real shame

First time visiting this cinema, and I was really impressed! The seats are super comfy and I loved being able to order food and drinks to my seat. The sound was set at a comfortable level too, I usually find the sound much too loud at other cinemas. Looking forward to going back!

We only visited the restaurant, not the cinema, for coffee and cake mid morning on a Saturday. This is a unique cafe and restaurant with easy chairs and comfortable sofas, so nice atmosphere. No table service, you have to order at the bar although the order is bought to the table. Only 3 stars because there were only two cake choices and they were the last slices which was disappointing. They have special cinema and dinner tickets so we will try again - just get more cakes!

If you want just a fantastic cinema experience and a great place to eat beforehand then look no further! The restaurant menu is fantastic. I have celiac disease and their GF menu is brilliant with a large choice. The cinema is just wonderful!! The cinema is clearly loved by those who own it and work there. Forget the normal chain cinemas , Uckfield Picture House offers a truly wonderful and memorable experience. Table service to your seat. Have a beer and food at your seat and enjoy the movie!

Great food, atmosphere and service with a smile. Kevin burger was 5*. All Uckfield locals should support the cinema. There's not many old cinemas like this left in the UK.

We live equi distance between Uckfield & Tunbridge Wells, so have the choice of a large multiplex or the Uckfield picture house. We always pick the lounge at the picture house. Lovely experience. Comfy reclining seats. Table service for drinks and food and great quality viewing experience. We then often pop over to their restaurant over the road which is great quality too.

Not a lot entertainment in places like Uckfield, great to have a little studio cinema around catching up with good titles and offering very cameral cinematic experience. I like it a lot.

It is a nice small cinema with a great restaurant. The films that they put on are interesting and funny. My sons made a film at there school and then had a premerie there.

Went to see Willy Wonka with friends. The staff were polite and made you feel welcome. Food was brilliant, but was a slight order mishap. Defo was happy with the doughnuts and chocolate sauce all the same :)

Really nice cinema with a great selection of reasonable priced drinks and snacks. Restaurant across the road is very good with a good choice of specials and burgers.

We use the lounge which has great reclining seats and waitress service. Restaurant over the road times food to meet start and end times of films. Good food there.

Once again we arranged our Christmas evening at the Picture House. With a large group of over twenty people they catered for all our meals etc without any problems. The Disco arranged by them was perfect with plenty of seasonal and Party tracks to keep the dancefloor packed.

Had our works christmas meal and drinks here on 08/12/2023, the food was lovely and coupled with excellent service from the staff made it a very enjoyable experience. The whole place had a warm relaxed feel about it which made for a great evening out.

We went to the Picture House for my partners Christmas Dinner. There were around 30 of us there. The meal was excellent, everything came beautifully presented, tasted amazing and was lovely and hot 🔥. I had Confit of Duck for my main course and it was the best I've ever had outside of France. I haven't been to UPH for a while and wow!! it was fantastic. We saw The Great Escaper, and enjoyed every moment of our experience there. We popped over the road to their restaurant and had a truly delicious meal. All in all what a fantastic evening.

Love this little gem of a historic Cinema, right in the heart of Uckfield High Street, a beautiful landmark building. An experience, not to be missed, when visiting Uckfield ! With clean comfortable seating, a good selection of movies and theatre always available, and warm welcoming staff, what's not to like !

My wife and I randomly found ourselves staying in Uckfield at the weekend (we had to be somewhere local in the morning so stayed over) and we were looking for something to do in the evening. We found this amazing place only a few minutes away from where we were staying. We booked dinner at the restaurant - lovely film inspired decor, a friendly welcome and great service, and really good food, reasonably priced. We then popped over the road to the cinema to watch the new Mission Impossible in their 'lounge' cinema which was a fantastic experience. Reclining leather armchairs, waitress service before the film for all your food and drink needs - was great to enjoy a pint with the film in such comfort. The only issue is being so comfortable you could end up having a snooze!! If you're ever passing through I highly recommend stopping here, it's a great night out. Thanks so much!

Easy dining. Well, that's what I like to call it. Great food, good menu, staff, and ambience up there with the best. And definitely not a sad ending when you get the bill. Live music to boot.

Lovely restaurant in Uckfield. Lots of great vintage film posters on the wall. We only had a main course, but we all enjoyed our meal thoroughly. The Blue Movie Burger was fantastic! Great chips too! Good wine list, the Malbec was perfect with the burger.

1 star as I ended up know going. I tries to book tickets using the online system. 1st time I booked them, I thought I had completed the long winded transaction only to realise there was a system error message. I tried again and then it said my basket was empty. 3rd time it showed the exact seats I booked were already taken!? At the time I was doing it I think it's more likely to be a system failure than someone else booked the seats. It's really annoying when something as simple as booking tickets is a time consuming pain in the ... neck.

Highly recommend the picture house cinema and restaurant. Cinema plays all the latest films and offer really good deals along side the restaurant. Staff are super friendly and the quality of food massively outweighs their modest pricing. Couldn't recommend a better place to visit!

What a lovely experience and adorable cinema. They helped us out when we had some trouble booking tickets online. This was the first cinema I've visited in years that didn't force me to wear hearing protection - I hardly believed I would ever find a cinema with a normal volume again!

An older building with charm hosting traditional smaller screen rooms. I've never had a problem here to see the screen, even with a tall person directly in front! Staff are always very friendly and happy to help. I rarely visit a cinema (I'm not the best at sitting still) but here (maybe other places these days) they even sell alcohol. This enabled me to relax with some chocolate, a glass of wine and a great film. Free parking available close by too :-)

Just went for dinner. 3 courses were all absolutely delicious. Menu is varied with many dishes to suit all eating requirements. Specials board available to. Service was also first class, friendly and very efficient. Recommended.

Lovely cinema, comfortable seats with sensible pitch between rows so when the world's tallest person sits in front of you...as they do..it won't be a problem. Great friendly staff, great sound. A really enjoyable experience.

2nd time there, first in the lounge, watched fast X, really good film, the sound was amazing! Dolby 7.1, seats were really comfy, make sure if you're parking you use the 10 hour free section and not the 3 otherwise youll end up having to rush back as did I!

The Lounge screen is very cool. Comfy large electric reclining seats with raised foot rest (don't fall asleep!). Get your own mini table with a menu of hot and cold snacks. These aren't your standards menu offerings you see at cinemas, and the food is tasty. Can order alcohol too. I can recommend the nachos. Someone comes and takes your order from your seat, and brings it to you. Would be better if they had the option to order on your phone from a qr code. Can order in advance though if you book your ticket online.

A local, non chain cinema. Feels like a love affair rather than a business. Top quality sound and picture equipment. Simply superb

It's a lovely little cinema,a lot of history around the building.

This place has been up and down over the years, quite often find a member of staff is hard to talk to and they tend to assume you know everything about the place already. There’s no clear direction at times. But having said that, I’ve also had great experiences especially if you book the lounge, they do a great job in there and serve food before the movie starts!

Great little cinema. Would be good if they had boosters for little kids. Also found it a bit too loud for such a small place.

Aw, man. Where to start? The baby friendly viewings are very comfortable, the staff are so friendly and helpful; I made an inquiry a couple days ago and I got a phone call back from a very nice staff member who helped me with exactly what I needed and more, AND a follow up email with even more help. Does it get any better than that? YES it does. The food in the restaurant is lovely and the staff are all so approachable and pleasant to talk to. My wife and I make the effort to drive over from Tunbridge Wells rather than the rip off prices and squash seating at the Odeon any day.

Intended to have a birthday celebration, on seating the waitress asked for a drinks order, took one of our group then spoke implying we had already had enough to drink and we had to be quiet, before then walking away, Yes!! we were chatty and laughing, it was a birthday, certainly not offensive or loud to others, We decided we didn't feel comfortable with the vibe so chose to leave, On arrival at another eatery, very welcoming, we were told that they had been warned of a loud rowdy group whom had been asked to leave the restaurant, us!!! The waitress was obviously having a bad day (it was 6pm) other diners were talking, it wasn't busy, And WE Chose To leave, shame as menu looked nice, disappointing one staff member could have not taken out her bad day on us, we won't be returning to try again.

The picture house is a fantastic little cinema with amazing staff! They will always look after you when you visit and the lounge is well worth the money.
