It was a spur of the moment visit, but I wasn’t disappointed , got seated straight away, even though place was busy , decor very nice , staff pleasant and attentive

My brother-in-law hired the whole restaurant for a family party to celebrate two very special birthdays. There were about 26 of us ranging in age from 3 to 80. We could not have had a better time. Because we were all family and close friends it was a tough task for the staff to get around with drinks and canapés before we were seated, but they did really well. Once we were, the pacing of service was excellent and the delicious food (chosen beforehand) was delivered hugely efficiently to the right people. I had steak, perfectly cooked medium rare, and served hot! Many congratulations to the team for achieving that for a whole room when many places can’t manage it for a single table. We had the best possible evening, eating wonderful food and drinking far too much. The staff were friendly and effective. The whole experience had the quality of a very fine wedding reception. Thank you Number Sixteen. We had a great time.

It was a gorgeous sunny Autumn Day and lovely to have the option of inside or outside seating. There is always a lovely vibe and happiness about Number 16. Megan always goes out of her way , to make it so and it’s great to have seen Philip after such a long time. Service is excellent, inside or out and food to match. Definitely a keeper.

This place is wonderful. We ordered the special, which was seabass, on a ragu, potato and chorizo cake, and topped with a vierge. It was to die for. woke up thinking about it today (next day).

Regulars at Number 16, though mainly in the day which is fabulous as a trendy cafe. Been a little while since we have been of an evening when the venue magically transforms into a cool and relaxed bistro. Four of us went last night 10th August 2024, had shared Tapas as starters, and then mains and shared deserts. All the courses were wonderful with excellent presentation, all of our group were extremely happy. As well as top notch food to match high end restaurants the X factor with 16 is 100% the staff, genuinely feels they want you to be there and enjoy the experience, professional but with a clear sense of fun 😎 looking forward to our next evening, meanwhile lunch, coffee and cake awaits in the day…

Number 16 is a well run local cafe/restaurant with plenty of choice of food and drinks throughout the day. The range of coffee/teas is good; the menu has excellent cakes and plenty of savoury options too. Usually pretty busy but the staff keep everything moving along very smoothly. Good outdoor seating on the Market Square - as the weather improves. Not yet tried the evening menu but intend to remedy that omission soon!

Delicious brunch. I had egg royale, with perfectly poached eggs. Partner had goats cheese and beetroot salad, which he enjoyed. Friendly efficient service and great ambience. We would have liked to dine again the following day, but only had time to call for coffee

Disappointing.. long wait, small portions, overpriced. Slightly alarmed by the brass monkey delivering the bill in its tail too! Nice venue though….

Our go-to place for lunch with friends. Always busy, so booking is recommended but you can try a walk in and be lucky. The food and staff are always great and it’s a lovely atmosphere and decor. It’s a lively place so if you are looking for a quiet brunch, it’s perhaps not for you, but we like it. Standard of food is always 100%. We’ve been in the evenings too and it’s just as good. Everyone is very accommodating for whatever size group and made to feel very welcome. Nice to have tables outside in the summer too.

Returned to Number Sixteen to enjoy another excellent brunch…on this occasion it was the Full English… quality ingredients used and served nicely, and great service, and a nice cappuccino too. Love the atmosphere and decor.

Visited twice on my visit to Bingham. Once for lunch and the other time for breakfast. Lunch time was very busy. Quality of the food was excellent both time. Had The Burger for lunch and the full English breakfast with the added black pudding. Customer service from the staff is superb.

Had a drink and a slice of cake. The coffee was OK, but the cake was a) dry, b) unpleasant tasting, c) teeny, and d) overpriced. A fiver for a half sized slice of very mediocre cake! My own fault for going back to be honest - last time I had coffee and cake there (few months ago) the waitress forgot our order entirely, and by the time she remembered it the cake we originally asked for had sold out.

We enjoyed our breakfast of Eggs Royale, and Full English. Eggs were cooked to perfection, and the Full English was really nice, so pleased the Baked Beans are now served in a ramekin following a previous suggestion ;-) Coffee ok. Nice service. Still think the decor is great.

This little establishment did not disappoint last night. We had preordered the Christmas menu and it was absolutely delicious, in fact it was the best meal we had had here and we go a lot. There was nothing to fault - from the greeting - to the service - atmosphere - and the dinner itself. Beautifully presented and tasty turkey dinner, everything on the plate was hot and fresh with copious amounts of extras if you could fit it in! Restaurant was full and the staff were really attentive hence we tipped well!

We went for a double family celebration and were impressed, as ever, by the service and delighted by the menu - quite unusual and very ambitious for Bingham.

Fantastic restaurant, such a pleasant surprise in such a small market town. We couldn't fault a single detail, from the friendly and helpful staff, the glorious food and lovely candlelit vibe sat outside on a warm evening (though the interior looks so inviting, we look forward to going back soon). This looks set to become our new regular now we are local!

Let down by service that’s all . Staff friendly and polite , food very good in fact it’s excellent quality but the service is so slow . Went today 30 degrees and had a lovely table in the shade . The drinks order took 30 minutes to arrive , we was so hot and thirsty I had to go and ask for a glass of water . I really wanted another drink but couldn’t face the wait . The food took 55 minutes for a burger , sandwich and a salad .

First class from start to finish. Number 16 Bistro nights are excellent. A small menu which covered all bases plus 2 seasonal mains. We had the steak, hake and pork belly which were all delicious and presented beautifully. Chocolate fondant x 3 was also a huge hit. To compliment the food, the staff were so friendly and attentive without rushing you. They accommodated our request to sit outside and ensured we were happy with the table. From the coffee/breakfast/brunch style by day, Number 16 gets transformed into a relaxed yet stylish restaurant. A gem in the centre of Bingham.

The food was excellent, but the service was poor. We had booked a table for 10:30 on a sunny Saturday, but when we arrived it took 10 minutes to be seated. We then waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken, and another 15 minutes for drinks. Unfortunately, it was the same experience for other tables around us. The staff seemed flustered and confused about which tables had ordered which food and drinks. The food and drinks were delicious and there was a lot to choose from on the menu, so if you do not mind bad service then you will enjoy your meal here. Following our food, we asked for the bill as we were starting to feel dehydrated due to the hot weather, and preferred not to wait another 15 minutes for more drinks, opting to purchase drinks from a nearby shop after leaving. 15 minutes later, the bill had not arrived, we asked the waiter again who apologised as he had forgotten. He did bring the bill immediately at that point and took payment. We were really disappointed with our experience, especially as others had reviewed this cafe so highly and it seems to be very popular. There are other cafes in Bingham with the same quality food and drinks with considerably better service, so we will likely opt to return to those in future.

Another fabulous meal, Number Sixteen is my local 'Ivy' always a creative menu, beautifully presented food and great value. Such friendly staff. If you haven't been.... You are missing out!
