Food was amazing, still very hot and very filling. We definitely use again.

This is a great find in Marston Green. After finding a parking space on the road I entered the clean and well lit cafe. Service was smart and my food soon arrived. The food was well cooked and the quality of the sausages were great. Met a man called Steve in there who was an avid football fan and we had a great conversation. Will definitely return and have another full breakfast.

Came in a few weeks ago with my son and daughter. As soon as we walked in there was a man glaring at us. We saw him walk to the cook and whisper something in her ear, she then turned around and started looking at us like we were scum!! Also parked his cars in the parking spaces so we couldn’t park there. When we saw this we walked out, I don’t know what the hell is wrong with you people. I’ve never seen any of you before

Food was pretty much cold, missed half the items off the order and order size is of no comparison to the pictures, not worth the price at all, would not recommend.

Extremely small portion of breakfast with no hash browns hardly worth what you pay for - disappointed for first time trying here.

Got food poisoning from sausages. Luckily my son didn’t want to eat them so it was just me suffering. Absolute nightmare for 2 days. I asked for flat white twice, got instant coffee instead. Breakfast missing hash brown, loads of tables covered in crumbs. Table next to us was smoking weed outside? Won’t be coming back, honestly can’t believe it has such a good reviews

They give you cheap instant coffee, not made at the coffee machine. Asked for extra crispy bacon, but it wasn't at all. The lemon cake never came.

The cafe provides great full English breakfast with various other dishes as well. Takeaway sandwiches hot and cold are provided. I have use the buffet catering services the establishment provides. Excellent service, great choices of buffet to suit your budget. Vegan options are catered for. The buffet was delivered on time. The presentation of the food was great. Superb quality and delicious food. Highly recommended food catering services.

The food was nice, didn't have to wait long. Staff friendly and accommodating to special requirements. Bit pricy but with the cost of living going up I can see why businesses have to increase their prices to stay afloat. I visit on a Sunday when I'm on shift round the corner and have yet to have any kind of complaint.

Order was started when I arrived to collect it

Ordered bacon sandwich but the bread wasn't soft... was quite firm. My cup of tea was forgotten about and i had to go up to request it.. no apology was given! I wouldn't have minded so much if they were busy but only 2 other people in there. Actually there were more useless staff than there were customers.. would give this place a miss in future

Food leaked through out the bag, onto the rest of the food.

The young girl took her time to serve food was fantastic. cup of tea came half way thro the meal the young girl just slapped the two teas on the table a tad rude I thought. But we enjoyed our stop off.

Beautifully clean cafe with very friendly and accommodating staff and delicious food. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we managed to park close by to save me from waddling too far at 37 weeks pregnant, and the food service was quick, and reasonably priced too! We will definitely be making a return journey.....

The staff at this lovely little cafe are amazing! There was an unfortunate and very sad incident at the nearby train station today and everybody had to get off the train. A staff member (owner?) of this cafe very kindly came over to everyone and said that we were welcome to come and sit in their garden whilst we waited and the staff even came round and gave people bottles of water for free and distributed Delay Repay leaflets from the train station. They were kindness itself. I hadn't had anything to eat so I did actually buy some food and drink and the rear garden was amazing, a lovely friendly place with tables and parasols, quiet and peaceful. I cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness you showed to us all today, you're all amazing and showed real humanity and compassion to total strangers after an upsetting incident, all without any thought of profit or gain for themselves. You're all heroes, thank you so much! If I am ever in Marston Green again I will definitely be back, this is a lovely well-run old-fashioned business which obviously really cares.

Expensive and below average food! Dirty tables and cutlery! Female member of staff swearing at the top of her voice in earshot of my 8 year old daughter absolutely outrageous I got up to complain only to hear her saying I don’t give a eff…!!!! Won’t be going to this dump of a greasy spoon again! Unbelievable

Iv been going here for 2-3 years and after the phone call I had with the obnoxious women on today I will not be putting money in your pockets again shambolic treat your customers with respect, had prisons guards speak to me with more courtesy than that! Never again!

Just been in for some sandwiches take out...loads of people in the kitchen messing around food took about 20mins ...nice food but really shoddy service and pricey ..definitely wouldn't use this place again I'll stick with my regular cheaper place

Had a breakfast this morning with a colleague, black pudding inedible, beans hard and cold, well done bacon undercooked at best, sos and egg decent. 4/10 at peak. I had heard stories o formerly good establishment had gone to pot. it sure has and in some style

Have eaten at this venue quite a few times now and the food is always delicious! Usually have the breakfast special which is excellent value. You can sit in to eat or takeaway your order. The staff are very friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend!

Had the belly buster breakfast which certainly lived up to its name. Very reasonable and very good value for money. Good meaty sausages and tasty bacon. Only reason for 4 not 5 stars, black pudding was very dry, and hash browns appeared to have been refried making them crunchy to the point of hardness. Otherwise, fab food, pleasant staff and well worth the price. Thankyou

Popped in on a Sunday morning, very busy inside but there are more tables outside in the garden that are covered with large umbrellas. Staff were helpful and friendly, food was good and didn't take long for it to arrive. All clean and tidy, and will be going there for food again when I'm close by.

AWFUL,, this place has really gone downhill, 2 burnt Sosage’s raw bacon & a tiny spoon of beans for a medium breakfast,, Sandwich bread coved in greece & all fell to bits. SHAME ITS GONE SO BAD !!!

I saw the Picnic Basket on a YouTube eating challenge and I thought I’d try it out. Hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The staff were really friendly and the place was clean and had a warm feel about it. I would definitely recommend the Picnic Basket, to everybody

Myself and some friends flew into Birmingham from Belfast and needed a quick breakfast (close to the airport) before driving down to Wembley. The food was excellent, we all enjoyed the Belly Buster Fry (it literally kept us going until after the game that night). The staff were also super friendly and welcoming. If I'm back in Birmingham anytime soon I'll be calling in again. Cheers guys!

I’ve attended a party that The picnic basket had done the catering for. I was completely blown away with the selection & quality of food. Quiche & porkpie was delicious 🤤 definitely recommend them for party catering.

Arrived at 8.00 on a Friday morning & the staff seemed too busy chatting in the back kitchen to serve customers when my breakfast arrived it was lukewarm at best & the 2 slices of toast it should’ve come with never arrived

Tried the PB Challenge. Absolutely HUGE breakfast for only £13.50 and your money back if you finish it in 30 minutes. I failed, of course, but it was tasty and the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend The Picnic Basket.

We ordered trays of sandwiches for a family gathering. A lovely selection of sandwiches and crisps, well presented and good quality/price. Lots of compiments from everyone. They even delivered on a Sunday and collected the trays. Brilliant service. Thank you.

Only just found this place out today and I'm so glad I did. I was worried just in case they didn't deliver to kingshurst but thankfully they did. The sandwich/baguette platter was heavenly with their fillings, and the bread was absolutely amazing. I made an error of judgement financially when it came to cash in which I didn't have enough but they so kindly allowed me to pay by card at the same time the driver delivered the food (who is a legend by the way👍🏼) I really cannot fault them, everything went like clockwork, and food was both amazing and substantial, with prices very reasonable. Thank you again picnic basket, best sandwich store around.

Had two breakfasts today the food was over cooked dripping in greese cold eggs were rock hard everything was mixed together beans and toms although I asked for no beams on one .they put beans on both the bacon was more fat then bacon and was overly salty .used to use this place regualy not again now and the staff are very arrogant after I told them two ppl had walked out as there was noone front of house they said oh well couldn't of been that hungry !! Not a way to run a cafe won't be back again !
