Vino a tomar unas copas después de disfrutar de un 'vuelo' VIP en el London Eye. El bar de la biblioteca fue una decepción. La decoración navideña era cansado / hortera (estrellas de oropel colgando del techo). La zona del bar en sí era fría, particularmente cerca de cualquier ventana! El servicio no fue genial. Quería una bebida sin alcohol (¡el resto de la familia no!). Desafortunadamente ninguna de mis opciones estaba disponible, así que pedí agua. Tuve que preguntar 3 veces antes de que llegara el agua... En general, aunque las primeras impresiones (entrada, etc.) son positivas, esta visión positiva no se mantuvo. Qué pena. El hotel está en una ubicación fantástica, pero no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas

An meinem Abreisetag aus London wollte ich mir eine leckeres Sonntagsfrühstück gönnen und steuerte The Pickled Hen an. Nachdem man die Speisekarte neben der Kasse endlich gefunden hatte, bestellte ich ein Full English Breakfast und unter anderem einen Apfelsaft. Die Nachfrage ob ich darin Eis haben möchte, verneinte ich. Keine Minute später kam der Saft, natürlich mit 3 Eiswürfeln darin. Die Bedienung zeigte sofort auf das Märchen an der Theke, aber ich behielt den Saft. Das Full English kam recht zügig aber alles war nur lauwarm. Besonders die vielen Pilze hatten bestenfalls Zimmertemperatur - ich freue mich schon auf meinen Magen auf dem Rückflug. Der griechische Joghurt mit Früchten hatte eher die Konsistenz von geschlagener Sahne. Als dann die Bedienung fragte ob alles in Ordnung sei, bemängelte ich die Temperatur des Essens sofort. Aber zurück kam nur ein gequältes Lächeln. Es scheint also niemanden zu interessieren, kein Angebot es nochmals aufzuwärmen oder Ähnliches. Dafür, dass hier auch noch ein Hotel angeschlossen ist (die Gäste aßen vom Frühstücksbuffet - kann die Qualität daher nicht beurteilen) war es ein absolute Enttäuschung. Nicht nur von der Qualität, sondern auch wie damit umgegangen wird. Ich würde niemamdem empfehlen hier einen Fuß rein zu setzen.

Gaurov y sus compañeros fueron excepcionales en el servicio que nos proporcionaron a mí, así como a mi familia durante nuestra estancia de seis días. Él en particular se aseguró de que supiera lo de las cervezas Happy hour gratis y se aseguró de que siempre saliera con agua embotellada por la noche. Volveré a alojarme en este hotel de nuevo debido a su servicio.

We spent two evenings at the Pickled Hen and want to compliment Dhruvi on her excellent service. We travel to the London from the USA quite often and will make our decision on where to stay because of her excellent service and pleasant personality, not to mention attentiveness to our needs. She is an excellent employee to be very proud of. Fondly, Alfred and Jennifer Sanchez.

Awful. Just awful. Wine was not properly chilled. Waiters couldn’t speak English. Food was diabolical. My Caesar salad was three chunks of unchopped lettuce with a bitter dressing. Cocktails handed back as they were not drinkable. Used to love this place. It’s in the middle of London where’s all the Londoners? We need staff that speak English.

So from TripAdvisor, it didn’t say anything that the restaurant is actually a hotel restaurant and you do not expect this is the breakfast place for the hotel guests. So already first disappointment. Then we place our order, first came with coffee and the staff doesn’t know what she is bringing us. We order flat white and she came and said: Latte is for? We were like, no, no latte for us. It was flat white and then she said oh yes, flat white. 😨 Then we were waiting for 25-30 mins for our food. Which they are not complicated orders. An order of croissants (which they can literally bring it from the breakfast bar), a full English breakfast (again, can come from breakfast bar) and lastly, bacon butty (which is toast with bacon). Not sure why it took more than 25 mins. Then we were like, whatever. Whatever it is, we are here already. Then we head to the counter and pay. And they do not accept cash. This is not informed in their website nor TripAdvisor. Again, I m not local but a traveller. It’s ok for me to move to cards but it feels like everything is wrong here. Last but not least, the food is not amazing and it’s dull. Seriously, not recommending at all and definitely not deserves this many stars to mislead people.

My sister and I ate here everyday on our visit to London. The staff were so nice and the service was great! From authentic fish and chips (with smashed peas) to enormous salads everything was tasty. The breakfast was top notch with a huge variety of foods. Yogurt, pastries, cheeses along with egg dishes there was enough of a selection including vegetarian and plant based options for every traveler. I highly recommend paying a visit. There is also a lovely bar area with great music where one can have a business meeting or meeting friends for drinks.

I stayed at the Marriott Marble Arch for four days. The hotel doesn't have a concierge lounge, so Marriott Rewards members platinum and above get get a complimentary breakfast buffet that is top-notch and works with food preference including halal. In the evening there are complimentary canapés, that are excellent and you can make meal out of. On a couple of evenings it appeared they were understaffed, but still friendly. The staff was hard at work. It was comfortable place to work with and there was no problem finding an outlet. the WiFi worked well also.

Steak was 25 pound for JUST the steak and no sauce or chips. Asked for medium and lets just say my grandad was less done at the cremetorium, plus it came 10 mins after my partners food came out. To be honest the chef was probably overun by us being the ONLY people in the restaraunt.

In 1 word? Mario. The Bartender on Saturday night was attentive, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. An absolute asset to the business. We came in as a group of 7 in London for business, and decided upon the Pickled Hen when our original booking fell through. (on that note I would recommend NOT using "open table" as they didn't book our table correctly either.) We were greeted with a table in the bar area big enough for all of us and a very freindly waiting staff. The food was nothing special but but no means bad. I had the burger and enjoyed it thoroughly (my feedback would be to offer it cooked less than well done if the customer wants). But the cocktails! The cocktails were phenomenal. Mario had his fundamentals down, and it made all the difference. No premade espresso in sight, tasting each and every cocktail and the drinks menu was non existant. if you asked for it, he'd make it for you. I can't thank him enough for what could've been a failure of a night for the group. Well done.

We came to London to get show in and stayed at the Marriott. Now when checking in when asked about booking table she said they wouldn’t be busy with a tone. So we should have took that vibe from her tone food is going to be shocking. Now talking about central London hotel here and I ordered burger and chips. I would be embarrassed sending that out!! Burger was burnt and rock hard it’s just shocking but nothing hard to cook. And my wife food was cold and only eat half which was pork burger with chips. So if stay here you can get Big Mac around the corner!!

After months of waiting for hospitality to open i finally made it my goal to go to The Pickled Hen. It was at first glance an eye pleasing little gem of a place. Great decor and a warm feeling. Loved it immediately. On to the lunch. A great choice of classics and modern twists. I opted for the "club salad" A delicious piece of perfectly cooked grilled chicken marinated with garlic and rosemary that permeates through the whole dish. A beautiful light citrus dressing and well seasoned avocado with a beautiful soft boiled egg finished this dish delightfully. An absolute perfect lunch. Compliments to the chef. The front of house staff were charming and perfectly attentive. Cannot reccomend this place enough.

The breakfast and dinner, both are extremely delicious. The serving staff is very courteous and helpful. Chef Kuldeep has magic in his hands. He makes delicious food here. Great atmosphere !!!!

Authentic food offer. Good quality. Nice location and not too busy during the day and evening. Service for breakfast was horrible. Very demanding and rude staff. The Manager was rather a doorman/ bouncer blaming guests coming "all at the same time" for THEIR bad time management and efficency. If you do not go for the buffet but for an a la carte option the service is even worse and unfriendly. Long waiting time. If you complain about the same, the bouncer is called, not to solve issues but to make the point clear, that a long waiting time is the standard and the buffet would have been the better option. No excuses or solution was offered. Unfortunatly the buffet did not look very pleasent. The Menu was much more promising. Actually there were some very interessting dishes mentioned but they never made it to our table, as we paid and left hungry after 45mins. Luckily there are some great alternatives around the corner. A lot of potential, but the wrong attitude.

We had an afternoon tea with bottomless bubbles booked, as a treat for my wife who had been ill. I still have the original reservation confirmation, included here as a photo. We drove 130 miles to London to enjoy the treat, only to find the place completely closed. What a disgraceful waste of our time, effort, and money. To make things even worse, on the morning of the trip, I had even received a reminder email for our reservation (also included here). I can't put into words how angry I am that myself and my wife were let down in such a way by this establishment.

No sé cómo pueden justificar esto. 49€ por 4 slithers o bocadillos, apenas rellenos, se mejora en M&S. A diferencia del té tradicional de la tarde, no hay recargas de sándwiches a menos que desee pagar. Bollos duros y secos de un paquete y pasteles que se ven bien en el autobús de Londres pero carecen de cualquier tipo de sabor o variedad. Para mi hija de 7 años, 39 libras por tres sándwiches. La pobre chica se fue hambrienta. Los pasteles no atendían a los niños, el chocolate negro la única opción. Así que básicamente 39 libras por un sándwich de queso y un bollo. El ambiente es frío, sillas cansadas con música de ascensor sonando. Junto al desayuno buffet de los hoteles. Ventanas sucias y la izquierda sobre las decoraciones navideñas. Camareros robóticos sin habilidades de hospitalidad. Sólo querían que entráramos y saliéramos. Billete de 250 libras después, sintiéndome totalmente estafado. Gasta los 20€ extra y ve a uno de los mejores hoteles para una experiencia especial, que estaba lejos de ser.

Terrible service! We waited half an hour for the menu, another almost an hour for the meal and at the end it turned out that there was no coffee because the machine was broken!!!

Made a reservation, arrived just before on time, was standing for 5/10 minutes before even asked a question, first thing the lady asked was do you have a reservation (yes) and the name, she left came back and asked for the name again. Then once seated we presented a ongoing deal which they were offering, the lady then tried to point out several terms that would void us of the promotion however I clearly showed how it was valid and she conceded. They then brought the meat out in abundance for around 20/30 minutes then slowly. Then it stopped. The butcher had came out served the newly sat table next to me and then didn’t offer me any. After a couple times of the butcher coming out and not serving me, I thought he must be just accommodating new guests that have arrived as we had already been served previously, but I saw him walk back into the kitchen with the barbecued meats after serving the new guests. The waitress then came up to me saying can she take my plate, either because I wasn’t eating (because they hadn’t served me food) or because they no longer wanted to serve me. I got a few more items from the bar and then asked for the bill. The bill never came so quick. After I had paid the lady said can you leave please as there’s people waiting not even 5 seconds after Paying the bill and eating a buffet do you then want me to stand up and leave. I realised that they were not serving me food because they wanted to free up my table to serve the next customers who had been waiting standing, bear in mind I booked a reservation and had not been inside for an hour. Terrible customer service and they try cover it up by asking you every 5/10 minutes ‘is everything ok’. Everything is ok after the 4th time you’ve asked me. This is my 5/6th time in Preto and todays customer service has left me with a displeased service. The lady in question is dark skinned, Spanish speaking, Dominican sounding, chubby. This was also my friends first time attending after I told them we should go here.
