Temper Soho, I’d considered meat liquor or Red Dog but a friend told me to go here, it was my brother in laws 50th birthday celebration and rather than buy another unwanted present I decided to take him here as a treat. From the moment we walked in I was impressed, lots of staff, friendly and attentive, the aroma of smoked meats and wood burning intoxicating, we had the brunch which at under £50 per person represents very good value, the manager approached us and asked us several times if he could get us anything, he explained to us about how the meat is sourced from North Yorkshire and I asked if we could buy any of the sausages they cooked, he said you can’t buy them but I’ll give you a few more! Our fantastic deserts of lime and coconut sorbet took a while to arrive and were subsequently struck off the bill, sitting at the open kitchen in my opinion is the best place to sit in the house, watching the staff quickly and skilfully go about their craft, I’ll be coming back here definitely and would thoroughly recommend

We had a great time there last night. The food tasted amazing, the vibe was full of energy, and the staff were extremely welcoming. The margaritas were also a hit—definitely worth trying.

Came here for a roast with a friend , staff friendly and attentive, interior a bit dark and gloomy, and not the best atmosphere. Roasts were on the more spenny side , and sadly the cauliflower cheese was taken off the menu. Meat (Beef) was cooked well but only got two slices that were on the slightly smaller side , potato’s , red cabbage and Yorkshire were decent but the gravy let it all down- Watery saltiness no depth of flavour at all. Wouldn’t run back here for a Roast sadly.

Restaurant was busy and we were sat down and rushed into things. Menu was not clear as was the waiters explanation of it. Food took a long time to arrive and was also incorrect. Men’s toilets were out of action so accessible toilet had to be used which later had someone trapped inside, as the door handle fell off! This meant everyone had to use the ladies. Chaos! Food was not great, ribeye comes on the bone which increase the weight and price and has to be shared. In total, not value for money and a poor experience. Won’t be back!

Fantastic customer service, ambience, drinks and food. My server Simone was very friendly, knowledgeable and gave good suggestions about the food on the menu and drinks that would complement my choice of food. I highly recommend this place! Will visit again soon!

Had a fantastic meal today. Food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Would thoroughly recommend the Covent Garden Restaurant. We were served by two Italian waiters and we all agreed the service could not have been better. .

What a wonderful experience, a stylish basement restaurant with an open kitchen… What a show. food was extremely tasty and a birthday treat surprised dessert was on the house. I had such a wonderful time celebrating my 40th will return. Thank you xx

Wanted to share this as was a unique experience. Food was excellent, would come back for it. But for some reason, at least the night we were there, it was chaotic. Something was not working between kitchen and service, wrong orders (ours and other tables) or some food never arriving. Meanwhile other orders visibly piled up on service counter. with nowhere to go... I asked the server if it was always like this and she said no, something about short staffed that night. I am giving 5 stars because they gave us a massive (borderline ridiculous) discount on our bill, which I find to be excellent customer service. Also the staff were all very kind. I must say though that they had loads of staff there, both in kitchen and on floor. I think the issue is more with their system. Didn't see any order slips or other logical system, just chefs frantically trying to decipher orders on a screen. Some shouting in the back kitchen. I am not sure they need more staff, just a smoother system?! anyways, still highly recommend this place.

With a bill topping £285 for two people we were hoping for amazing food. Whilst the steak and tacos were lacking any real quality and the wine list, shallow and overpriced. There is something amazing about this venue and that is the staff. Great team cohesion, efficient coordination and service with a smile and a feeling of being motivated and caring. The stand out of my evening was our server Youssef who literally made our evening and showed many experiences and classically trained front of house staff how service should be done. A huge thanks to him for making our night. Despite the lackluster food.

Pork belly Sunday roast delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection, pork was tender and full of flavour, gravy absolutely delicious, crispy and light yorkshire pudding, carrots cooked to perfection and slightly sweet, potatoes fluffy in the inside and crisp on the outside with a slight char flavour which was incred. The red cabbage cut through the rich pork. Everyone said it was the best roast they’ve had 12/10

Excellent service from tonight! A special thanks to Isabel for being an absolute gem and ensuring we made it to our reservation. We were running extremely late and risking last orders with the kitchen but Isabel went above and beyond to ensure she stretched that time to make it work for us. Besides arriving late and within 5 mins of last orders, the rest of the team delivered an excellent Sunday roast followed by desert. Highly recommend the cookie! Thank you team - I will be back for sure!

Been there for bottomless brunch and it was one of the best bottomless brunch I had. Food was tasty and fresh, bigs up to Kelly for making sure we made the most out of it and made sure we got our last round!

Came for the Sunday roast, and it was perfect. I am rarely happy with a roast, but there was nothing to complain about apart from maybe the noise within the restaurant. I had the beef and ordered an additional 4 cheese cauliflower, which was very tasty and had some strong flavours. All the sides were cooked to perfection, the Yorkshire puddings were crispy but not dry, same as the potatoes. Everything was cooked to order, hot and full of flavours I'll definitely be back

Loved our evening at Temper. Had been recommended by 2 people in the last 2 weeks so had to try. Our waitress Deimante was superb - charming and so efficient and made the whole evening even more enjoyable.

We arrived slightly early for our booking, but the hostess was more than happy to seat us earlier even though it was pretty full already. We had a seat by the cooking area which was great as you could watch your food being prepared and look at the amazing cuts of steak being seared! We started with cocktails which were strong and tasty and then switched to white wine. We had several starters, sides tacos. The chicken was exceptionally good and so we're the prawn. Service was attentive, friendly and very good. They even gave me a free desert because it was my birthday!Highly enjoyed it!

Came here for my Christmas do back in December, and as surprised on my birthday to come back again. Just as brilliant as I remember it, Aletheia was phenomenal, helpful and kind. The peanut butter dessert was a personal highlight

For my first time at temper Soho, me and my girlfriend couldn’t have had a better experience! Lovely food, music and area alongside the chefs cooking in front of you. Many thanks to the waiter Caleb who helped us enjoy our first experience! Hopefully the first of many.

Was a little underwhelmed to be honest. Service was ok, but nothing special. Atmosphere smoky… I guess to be expected Food came out ad hoc so we ended up with a bunch of cold food on the table. Night before at different restaurant experienced similar service style but they somehow managed to spread out the food arrival a bit evenly. Maybe luck? My guy feeling says no. Food itself was ok but flavouring and balance was not great. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone in a hurry

Definitely felt the customer comes second. This is one of those places that sell the novelty that the tapas that comes as it is ready. Really means the kitchen can't coordinate and the waitresses treat you like an inconvenience. Could not cope with taking 4 people's coats when we walked in, others before us were treated. Waited forever for service, no drinks when we sat down, food slow. Whole service package was shoddy and lacking. Expensive disappointment. Steak middling. Would not bother.

I’ve been trying hard to think when I last had food better than the food I had at temper. I’m not sure when it was, but it was definitely a long time ago. I’m a vegetarian so am definitely not the target market for this restaurant but thoroughly enjoyed my food nontheless. I’m not sure whether the vegetarian food I was given was officially on the menu, but it was scintillatingly good. And the roast potatoes were completely exquisite. My fellow diners assured me that the meat was fantastic too, so I have no doubt that for someone seeking a Sunday lunch, this is an absolutely winning spot.

What a disappointment- signs were ominous- nearly empty 1.30pm for Sunday lunch - Stuck with classic roast beef , requested rare - returned twice - over cooked inedible meat - actually everything totally over cooked - felt like food was reheated from last Sunday ! We came here last year for a Sunday Roast. We were sat squeezed between two other groups along a bar, which was not ideal. We recommend getting a table if possible, unless you like to keep elbowing strangers. The food was very nice, however it was so dark in the restaurant that one of us ate the end of a carrot by mistake. We suggest some better lighting since we couldn't even take photos of the food in the darkness.

Had an amazing time at this fantastic Brazilian restaurant, you feel like you're actually taken away from London for the time you're here.. also Mylena, who served us was just splendid, soo delightful, gave us great advice on food selection, and was really nice to me and my friend, very helpful. Highly recommended for good food, atmosphere, and a bunch of fun.

Meat sweats! We had a belated work Christmas lunch - food was delicious, well seasoned, brisket, lamb, steak, rotis were moorish I had to stop myself and cocktails were 👌 Heather looked after our table and provided impeccable service, I could have spoken to her all day/night. While I understand that this is a common policy in many restaurants, I was disappointed with the lack of proactive communication regarding the risks involved and the absence of any supportive gestures post-incident. The response from the management, while polite, did not align with the high standards of customer service expected in the hospitality industry. My intention in sharing this review is to inform potential customers of my experience and to encourage Temper Soho to reassess their cloakroom security and customer service approach.

The ambiance is just spectacular, the counter offers the fantastic view of the steaks being cooked. The service was outstanding, Heather is pure gold, thanks a ton for taking care of us!!!

We chose the roast Sunday lunch here, which at £25 for roast beef with the trimmings is not bad value in central London. However, the roast potatoes were not really crispy, the meat was a bit average, and overall it was rather underwhelming. Perhaps one thing they should look at is what they do about their customers coats!. It being a cold day we all had winter coats but no offer was made to take a coat nor was it obvious where they might go. When we got downstairs to the table, there was nowhere to hang them and upon asking, we were directed back up to the desk where coats could be left behind a curtain, just seems odd that they don’t offer to take them in the first place.

Very impressed with this place. All the food we tried was tasty, the Tuna tacos in particular, as well as the cheese potato's! The meat was also very good. Great vibe with the cooking pit in the middle. The service was good but did seem a bit disorganised and we had to call the waitress over a few times, however always very friendly and cannot really complain! Recommend!

okay so the food was good but on the cheeseburger taco there should not be pesto because cheeseburgers don’t have pesto sauce

Food all good but marked down overall because overpriced

Beautiful restaurant and very good service. Evelina that was taking care of our table was so positive, helpful and had a great knowledge of menu. I would not recommend that place for vegans, but with help of staff you won't starve if you are one of them! x

My husband and I were so excited to try this place for our date night, but nothing about our experience was good. The restaurant was boiling hot, the cocktails were tiny (2 sips), the food was super oily, the chips were soggy, and my husband got food poisoning from the lamb he ordered — throwing up all night. Not to mention it cost over £80 for just 2 drinks, 2 plates of meat, and some chips! Overpriced and honestly over-hyped. Really disappointed.

Se consideriamo il locale e la qualità del cibo meritava anche 2/3 stelle ma il problema enorme è la incredibile scorrettezza e disonestà del proprietario. Durante la cena alcuni ladri del tutto indisturbati sono entrati nel ristorante ed hanno rubato gran parte dei giacconi che erano stati lasciati nel guardaroba peraltro su invito proprio della persona addetta all’ingresso all’accoglienza dei clienti, ma il titolare ha detto che non rimborsa niente perché ritiene di non essere responsabile. A noi hanno rubato 4 giacconi tutti di marca e costosi. INACCETTABILE E INDECENTE

The food was outstanding and the service impeccable.

Food was extremely hot and would not recommend taking children to dine here, no menu for kids. Service was slow even though the restaurant was quite and would expect when entering they would offer to take your coat. Toilets was smelly and the hygiene was not good here, when we were seated had to ask the staff to clean the chairs.

An interesting restaurant with a lively atmosphere. Great meats. Great staff. Very attentive. Weak Value for money erodes it's rating. 82 a head for Sunday roast with 1 pricey red and a few drinks is not great value. Also they were tight on.potatoes..3 between 2 people and low on veg which spoilt it for me. Get rid of the absurdly large Yorkshire and give value in the veg area please..its not like portion control in that context makes a lot of sense and could make the difference in a return. Would i? Possibly but probs not. Too much competition offering better value.. but they were v busy and I wish them more success by fine tuning that offer. Good staff for sure.

Went for our Christmas Eve lunch. The food was good, but not amazingly so. Nice-looking dining hall but messy when walking towards the bathroom, with a long table full of used tissues where I noticed some staff sat to rest. Speaking of bathrooms, they were filthy. The biggest letdown was the service which was chaotic and un-attentive. We got asked what kind of water we wanted, then we were brought another kind by someone else. Then, we ordered and someone else came to take our order again. We ordered 3 pork tacos and got 4 tacos and 2 tequila shots (a different item on the menu). Lastly, after we’d paid and we were chatting, we got asked to pay again! We waited ages for the food (30 mins after we’d finished starters) and then no one checked in on us for probably 1h (could’ve really had some extra salt for the steak). Very disappointing, won’t be returning.

Had the most amazing service from Heather, sat at the bar watching chefs at work and ate the most delicious tapas. Great atmosphere! Will be back!

Nice three beast meat roast (beef, lamb, pork) the sides, sauces and gravy were excellent. Definitely felt that the pork and lamb portion they gave us could have been bigger seeing as we were sharing between 2 of us for £35pp. Deep dish cookie dessert was delicious. Had to ask twice to get the wine we ordered and never got our cauliflower cheese we asked for so service could be improved. Not a cheap roast but nonetheless good.

Really Disappointing! We were part of a large party, had a set menu and paid a lot. There wasn't enough food to go round, and some went hungry. Staff weren't accommodating.

We came a few weeks ago as our friends got us a voucher and had a fabulous time! We shared a porterhouse steak, burnt end and cheeseburger tacos, cornbread, brisket and raclette potatoes. Every dish was 10/10. We were served by the lovely Heather who was so attentive and helpful. Would recommend to all our friends and will definitely come back!

I went here with a few friends for a Christmas meal. The decor was amazing and the food was brought out promptly. I enjoyed my dish and the presentation was remarkable. The staff were well dressed and kind too. I would definitely recommend this place to those new to London or for the gourmet types.

The food is fantastic, more South American influence I think than anything else. It's an open kitchen so you can watch them cook. The service is generally quite good but the restaurant does get quite loud so conversation with your friends gets a bit difficult. But amazing food none the less.

Excellent restaurant pour les amateurs de viande. Vous y trouverez des petites portions façon tapas ou des morceaux de viande d'exception. La service est sympathique et la nourriture excellente. Such amazing steak restaurant in London! Came in with no reservation, luckily we managed to secure a table. The food itself was with so much flavour and the steak was cooked to prefection. Very nice place to have a Snack or dinner even by yourself! Came there to have a snack while doing my uni work. Evelina was very sweet and friendly! Extremely noisy, and very slow service. We sat for over an hour and waited for food, but we couldn't talk to each other over the loud surroundings. Simply put, terrible acoustics put a damper on what could have been a fantastic experience. The menu was odd, but I really couldn't comment on the food because we couldn't enjoy it due to the rest of the experience.

I have been visiting temper for a long time and it never disappoints. The food was spectacular, and the service was spot on.

The waiter spoke really fast and the music was really loud so we wouldn’t really understand what he was saying. He kept trying to upsell us and kept trying to tell us to buy more and the expensive stuff. He wrote 700 on the menu and said this is the only steak we have available right now, to which we said okay sure. Little did we know the steak was over £100 each. It was a bit too expensive for our tastes and not worth the price. The menu should be clearer and have the exact price of each item as to avoid confusion or even turn down the music so the waiter could explain slower and clearer

They made us wait 50 minutes for our steak. The place was too nosy and crowded. Zero stars
