This is place is meat-insane but it's not just chips and steak and burgers. The place focuses on cuts of meat in large, shareable quantities, together with decadent sides. Add cocktails, wine, tacos as sarters, sweet puddings...it's a feast! Enjoyable as a group. Pricey but meat is good quality.

Very overpriced. Very nice steak, but I can make steak at home. The beef fat potatoes and bearnaise were frankly awful. Both tasted like beef in a gross, greasy way, and the bearnaise was cold and mayonnaisey. Really bad. The goat cheese taco was really good but the rest were underwhelming and I hated the cheeseburger one. The guac and chips were both flavorless. The hispi cabbage was really good and the beef fat cornbread was delicious (saying this as someone from the southern US). But for £100 per person, I wouldn't expect so many duds. The servers were all lovely and the service was great, if quite slow.

We ordered 800g steak with half-price promotion. The meat was very smelly. I'm not sure if they gave us old smelly steak because it was a promotion. We paid 90 pounds for the very smelly meat. It's definitely not worth it.

Had a great experience at Temper! The venue is stunning, giving off cozy vibes, and our table was perfect for our group of six. We went for the Sunday Roast Menu, and the food was amazing. Although we weren’t given a heads-up that the food would take up to 25-30 minutes to prepare, it was well worth the wait, as it came in large family-style sharing plates. The only disappointment was that we had booked for a birthday meal, but we didn’t receive anything special. However, that’s fine.

Had an amazing time there. Foods were better than my expectations. The steak had a charcoal flavour which I highly valued compared to the other steak houses. Tacos were delicious and the side hispi cabbage wasn't just a side main but almost main quality! Staffs were incredibly attentive and friendly, and they were working hard to provide a good service to customers. The ambient was very relaxing and casual. I highly score to Temper!

There’s a very distinct difference between a restaurant being high end and a restaurant being overpriced. Unfortunately this place is the latter. Nothing about the food is interesting and the taste is flat out tasteless and disgusting. Everything about the venue screams cheap- and the food is no exception…we were waiting close to an hour and half for our steak, despite numerous times of trying to flag people down to try and order drinks no one came- they were out of boneless steak despite being a streak house. Avoid at all cost.

Such a positive experience at this restaurant, the staff are smiley and friendly and can’t do enough for you! Service is super efficient and the food is sublime. The meat is perfectly cooked, delicious flavours and very filling. My only fault would be that the three beast feast platter came out so quickly (about 5 mins from ordering) but I can't really complain as this is way better than being late! The accompanying bottomless wine was a fantastic deal and our glasses were never empty. Can’t wait to return! 😊

We had the Porterhouse with the Raclette covered potatoes, the Temper greens and the gravy covered mash. The Steak was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I ordered medium well. The Potatoes were nice, I could've done without the cheese tbh. The mash was nice a little rich but the pops of crunchy onion more than made up for it. The service was great an all round pleasurable experience. I will definitely be going back.

Our party had heard good things about Temper. We left disappointed, straight after the mains, having even returned some of them. Our complaints are as follows: - We were told dishes were for sharing, but most came out with just two portions - The allergy menu was like trying to navigate Sherlock Holmes' mind palace: we were told half the things on the allergen menu weren't always available at that branch, so we had to spend ages cross checking the allergen list against the menu. Why not just have allergens for that branch on the menu? - The guac was flavourless. Literally no seasoning/spice/garnish/lemon/lime. Nothing! - Two bowls of beef fat potatoes had obviously been reheated, badly, as they were cold in the middle. Others were just burnt. They tasted awful and we returned them. - The tacos came plopped on some prawns, sodden in sauce, making it impossible to wrap them. The tacos themselves tasted stale. - The cocktails - daiquiri and margaritas - were tasty but not cold. - When several of us complained during the meal, to then be charged £30 for service tells you this place just has contempt for their customers. The redeeming feature-ish was the aged beef nachos. The whole experience cost us £55 a head and we left frustrated and eager for somewhere different to finish our evening. Maybe it was the hype that ruined it, or maybe they were having a bad night, but this place is not value for money. I now see the owner only responds to positive reviews, and many others had similar complaints to us.

I’ve been to the Soho branch many times. In my opinion they don’t need to run too many promos which clash and can be confusing. We had the £22.50 pp tacos, 500grm steak and cheese roasted potatoes and a sharing desert which runs from 12 - 18:30 great value. The only issue we have is the mens toilet, always a very bad smell. I suspect plumbing needs to be renewed.

This sunday roast absolutely hit the spot. The highlight for me was the veggies. So much flavour. The yorkie & gravy were decent too. We were surprised that we had bar style seating but it was really cool as we sat around the kitchen & could watch the meat being prepared. Highly recommend & we will definitely be back.

Visited for the amazing Sunday Roast and wasn't disappointed. A big sharer platter for two was loaded with beef, lamb and pork. Crispy roasties, porkies and roasted veg we all fabulous as was the 4cheese cauliflower side. Well worth a visit for cracking food.

Absolutely love our Sunday roasts at Temper Soho. The food is delicious and the Bloody Mary fabulous, all signed off with a Cazabel milk ice cream for a sumptuous final hit! All the staff are delightful and this Sunday Kelly was so kind and helpful ensuring we sat where we are most comfortable. There is a very convivial atmosphere in the restaurant and everything comes together to ensure a very happy experIence which I highly recommend to any meat eater with a healthy appetite! I had an amazing experience at Temper Soho! The staff were incredibly accommodating despite my late arrival. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, and it’s clear they value good vibes—if you’re nice to them, they definitely reciprocate. Special shout-out to the manager and the waitress who took care of my table—they were super awesome! The chefs and bartender were equally fantastic, making the entire evening enjoyable. Highly recommend for great service and a welcoming atmosphere!

I went here last week, the food/service/atmosphere was all good. Pretty expensive so not sure I would make a habit of going regularly but was a nice evening nevertheless. Reason for 1 star review is that I’ve been receiving promotional emails despite not explicitly giving them my details. I expect these have been shared by Apple Pay somehow. I have received 2 emails from them already this morning despite unsubscribing after receiving the first email. Found this restaurant by chance . First impressions were wow, great welcome and we chose to sit up at the raised bar area. Food incredible all cooked so well, wine amazing. Me and my friends went for a birthday dinner. The staff were super nice and even gave us a free dessert because of the birthday ! We had two ribeye on the bone which were good for a smokehouse, no complaints there. No chips on the side 😢 personally love a good steak chips with sauce but no chips so no point ordering the sauce. We had the baby potatoes with parm which was so MID. Also the cheese absolutely stank as other people around us also ordered it 😭😭. The desserts on the other hand were amazing I would recommend trying some.

We went on a Monday evening when they have a deal for half-price steak. The staff were friendly and the steak was cooked exactly how it was asked. However, even if I didn't feel it at that moment, my company complained that the meat was smelly and asked the waiter to cook it more. Much later in the night, I felt really upset and I almost threw up (unfortunately). I don't think I will visit again, given that even with half price it is still expensive, and I wouldn't risk my health even if it was free.

Went here for Sunday roast, sat around the bar/kitchen. It was one of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a long time, so tasty, perfect beef and lovely sides. Service was great plus being right next to the kitchen and the chefs was a very interesting atmosphere. Also the background music playing was excellent and just at a good level to be audible but not overbearing. Reasonable prices too! Highly recommend this place!

I love Temper Soho, the open kitchen with the huge bed of carcoal add heat and theater. It has a real buzz about the place, one which I have returnes over quite a few years and the standards have stayed high. If you like your meat, atmosphere and being able to watch your meal work its way through the kichen, Temper is well worth a visit!

¡Probablemente uno de los mejores asados de domingo! Absolutamente me encantó. Desde el momento en que llegamos, el servicio era excelente, no tuvimos que esperar nada. Todos comimos las 3 carnes asadas y la carne estaba tan sabrosa, que realmente se puede saborear el sabor ahumado. Las zanahorias glaseadas y el queso coliflor también estaban deliciosos. Probably the best steakhouse I've been to. Shared the Chateaubriand and porterhouse which were both excellent. The smells around the restaurant are very appetising, and it's great to sit next to the cooking area (counter dining) and watch all the prep and cooking taking place. Even the entranceway is awesome with huge joints of fresh meat in large fridges at each side of the walkway. Will definitely go there again.

Well just come home from having a Sunday roast we had a beef pork belly and lamb Pork was good lamb and beef was pulled. Was disappointed as for us a roast is not pulled meats. When we got in we said we have a table booked to the lady and We was told we only have a hour I was shocked and to be honest felt like telling them to shove it but I didn’t as people I was with really wanted to try it We was seated and again was reminded that it’s only for a hour. So was given menus and about 30 seconds later they was asking for our order we asked them to come back in a few minutes within a minute someone else come over so we ordered food waited 20 mins for it while I’m clock watching thinking this we be great rush our food down and leave. Like I said food was just ok nothing special the at least 3 times we was asked how’s the food. Then we could feel the staff hovering waiting for us to finish soon as we had put out knife and fork down they was over taking a plates away didn’t even get to finish the bottle of wine. Or asked if we wanted dessert. Just to also say there was at least 8 empty tables the whole hour we was there. Told the server how we felt so rushed she said sorry and went over to tell the manager who couldn’t even be bothered to come over. Would never return

This would be a 3.5 if I could. Let’s start with the good: the steak was excellent (we tried the bone on ribeye, and bone on sirloin). Really tasty and cooked exactly how we asked for it. The sides were nice too, but beware there are NO chips or fries! Wasn’t a fan of the baby potato side dish even though it sounded good. Unfortunately, our starter order of tacos was forgotten and the main arrived too.quickly to make it worth chasing.

Después de ver El Libro de Mormón, habíamos reservado la cena en este lugar. El servicio era amable y la comida era excelente, especialmente el filete de grupa. El ambiente era muy agradable y un montón de música de los 80 sonando, que nos encantó! El único comentario negativo sobre el lugar fue que tomó 25 minutos para que la comida se entregara, pero entregaron las hamburguesas de taco en dos minutos, pero el resto de nosotros cuatro miembros de la familia tuvimos que esperar 25 minutos y nadie preguntó si queríamos la comida juntos, un poco decepcionado con esto. Además, una camarera nos dijo que es un menú para compartir platos, pero después de que pedimos otra camarera dijo que podríamos haber pedido lo que nos gustó para comidas individuales? No muy claro y me pareció confuso. De todos modos, un lugar agradable para comer en Londres y recomendaría.

Ordered two roast dinners. They arrived and the server said she would return with sauces. She never did. Started eating the food hoping the sauces would arrive. It was extremely dry as there was no gravy. After nearly finishing another server asked how it was. I said we had asked for sauces and none had arrived (these are mentioned as included on the menu). He went and brought them and also brought a jug of gravy that should have been served with the meals. How can a restaurant serve half a plate and then walk away and leave you to it? By the time the gravy and sauces arrived it was too late.

Went there with a couple of mates. We were greated, they took out jackets on a hangar in the back and we seated down. As soon as we sit down 5 minutes later we got served tacos and were ready to order. Hello it's ozzy here l, I enjoyed my lovely Sunday out at soho london it was amazing the experience piotr and his colleagues put on for me and my friends was phenomenal to say the least.... The service was 100/10 and nothing was a to big ask, cooked my steak perfectly the sides was phenomenal (and don't forget the cookie and ice cream at the end :)) I will defo be back at any chance I get. The atmosphere was unreal the team as it all it was like going to a family event but the food was 10 times better couldn't ask for more the price is worth every penny. Over priced and underwhelming. Between 3 people our bill was £190 for what boiled down to 2 slices of steak each, some chips, a single taco, a bottle of wine and a beer each. No, I'm not joking. We did only get 2 slices of steak each. Half the menu wasn't available, which we were not told before we ordered. This included the beers ordered which were replaced by others not on the menu. Not the waiters fault as he was new and not trained or supported by more experienced staff. I understand this is a sharer style restaurant but the value for money here is terrible. You're paying for expensive toilets and the name. There are better, tastier and more enjoyable options out there.

The main.meal that I ordered was cooked to quickly and undercooked. There was no flavour and I think I was given a supplementary item... As I wanted a long time for something that was meant to be cooked well.done and was pink inside. My drink was not worth buying it did not contain lemonade even though lemonade is a key ingredient in the cocktail and the rump steak is low quality meat. The peppercorn sauce is nice and Sonia the cheesy garlic potatoes.

I have been to and loved the Shoreditch and City branches. Soho was dreadful I booked a table and was seated at the bar area . The seats were very uncomfortable and you are packed in so tightly that there is not enough room for the food when it arrives. The Waiters then get fed up as you cant make room. I waited some time to order drinks and food. Once I had finished my main I was told I had 20 mins and that they would bring the bill. The couple next to me had not been told this . I left to get desert and drinks elsewhere.

Lo peor era nuestro filete, se suponía que eran 650 g... definitivamente era mucho más pequeño. Yo estaba con dos amigos, y estuvimos de acuerdo en que la experiencia estaba por debajo del estándar y ciertamente no vale la pena los altos precios. Estábamos obligados a encontrar algo de comer después de la cena en Temper, tal era la carne en nuestro filete de ‘650 gramos’. Hay muchas mejores opciones de carne de calidad en la zona... . No recomendaría Temper. Carece de calidad, cantidad y se siente como un restaurante que está en la cúspide de empeorar.

I normally try to only post positive reviews but I couldn't not post this as it was such an awful experience. Group of 7 of us booked for 7:30pm on a Tuesday night. - Out of the 12 steaks on the menu, 6 were "sold out" (at 7:30pm on a tues night) which left only on-the-bone steaks. - The initial snacks (corn and guacamole) took, no joke, 45 mins to come - The taco starters then 1hr 15mins after ordering - The three large steaks we ordered medium rare and over £90 per steak - firstly they came 2hrs after first order, one was well done (well and truely overcooked) and the other two looked like a dogs dinner with probably 3 pieces of meat to eat from each one One of the managers didn't want to apologise and hold their hands up for whatever was going on and just kept saying their steaks are slow-cooked...2 hours?! And when the over-cooked one was sent back, she said they could get us a new one in 10-15 mins...We declined that offer and just sent it back. Eventually they did take a lot of the food of the bill to be fair but we left after about 3+ hours, all still hungry and still about £50 out of pocket each, even with most of the food taken off the bill. Great place, in a very good location. Steaks, tacos, grilled vegetables, drinks and more are simply amazing. An open kitchen where you can see how excellent chefs prepare your fresh and perfect meal with real passion. Service and management at the highest level. Everyone with a smile on their face. Reservamos una mesa para 3 amigos para el Sunday Roast, llegamos 20 minutos antes, pero nos llevaron directamente a nuestra mesa, que fue genial, así que buen comienzo. El lugar se ve increíble y estaba muy ocupado, pero nos ofrecieron bebidas rápidamente y pedimos nuestra comida al mismo tiempo! An amazing roast from the smokehouse! This basement hotspot is a vibe with great music, good drinks and good food, all emitted from the centrepiece of the open kitchen and bbq. We started with some pork tacos to share, then the best of British rare breed beef dry-aged for superb texture and flavour, cooked on an open fire and served with all the trimmings, beef fat roast potatoes, giant Yorkshire puddings, honey glazed carrots and gravy. The house red is also an excellent pairing. Reservado con mucha antelación, entonces en el día más gente quería unirse. Llamó por teléfono y correo electrónico y modificó la reserva en la confirmación para aumentar el número, luego llegó temprano para resolverlo. Dijeron que no tenían tiempo para el teléfono, etc. “durante el servicio”. Bueno, pero había unos 4 clientes allí, así que no estaba ocupado y un montón de espacio. Parecían bastante mal preparados para prestar servicio. Las bebidas eran muy lentas. Fui al baño y deseé no haberlo hecho. Observó parte de la espalda Cocina y áreas de personal - no parecía muy limpio. El personal no es amable. Al final de la noche nos dijeron que “teníamos que irnos”. Vale, pero ¿podríamos conseguir la cuenta tal vez? La camarera era encantadora, la comida estaba bien. Demasiadas otras opciones en el área para considerar la visita de regreso.

Have been a few times and the food is always top notch. Most recently went for taco Tuesday. They charged me £3 for a small pot of chipotle mayo. Didn’t want it and didn’t order it. Left feeling a bit ripped off. Probably won’t return. Very disappointing

Having had the opportunity to go to several of the Temper restaurants, it feels like the Soho location is a bit in flux. A meat/grill centric establishment the subterranean dining room is spacious yet intimate. The space is centered around the open kitchen where you can see the range of meats prepared. The menu is primarily made up of small shareable dishes like an array of tacos, sides and other larger dishes. This visit I kept it to the small dishes and did the burnt ends tacos, shrimp tacos, crab tacos, cornbread and beef fat potatoes. Having eaten at Temper Soho several times, this most recent visit was the first that raised the concern that the jewel in the Temper crown may not still be the Soho location. While each dish was well prepared overall, the inconsistent temperature and flavor profile of each dish across the meal (two tacos = 1 dry and cold and cooked to perfection for example) was perplexing to say the least. That being said if you like bbq and grilled selections Temper is still worth giving a try. You may consider one of their other locations though for a fresh take though.

Was very disappointed. Music was deafening (so loud we could not have a conversation). It felt more like a bar / club, than a restaurant. Food was okay. Steak great, but rest not so great. If you looking for a nice place to enjoy one a glass of wine, relaxing ambience and good steak then definitely not the place.

Really cool atmosphere, it was dark but open kitchen and groups of up to 3 can sit by bar. We weren’t offered that on our booking of 3 but good to be away from the smoke. Tacos Tuesday was great - the margaritavilla drink was just simple tho reminded me of the Costco ready made margarita; funnily enough the goats cheese taco was our fave, then the burger one, burnt ends taco was just ok.

Quite a disappointing experience all in all. The food was ok, tacos were fairly good and but a few people in our party didn’t particularly like the steak. The sides were great. The wines are just ok. Most things were quite expensive for their quality. Service was not good, our waiter forgot one of the parties orders and we had to call him back so they could order. Then towards the end of the evening he disappeared completely, it didn’t seem like anyone replaced him so we had a hard to flagging down anyone. It took ages to get the bill. Considering our party spent over £100 a head this should have been a far better experience than it was

Sham, our waitress, was great! No complaints. She knows how to deal with clients, she took care of me and my friends. She was well prepared about the food and the ingredients. She is great in customer service, she needs a promotion and a pay rise. The food: tapas were delicious, and they came quite on time after we order them. As soon as we received the tapas, at 8pm, we ordered the steaks straightaway. I order medium cooked sirloin with salad. It came at 9.38pm, it was well done, I ate it because I was famished. 1h38 minutes to deliver the order is way too long, so we complained to the manager who sorted everything out and we got discount. The cocktails were way too strong, I couldn’t finish mine. I could taste only the alcohol. Very bad. Not impressed with the meat at all, but considering is a steakhouse, well… it’s bad.

Atrocious night. The food was delayed and we received kept sides that we did not order. The steak was overcooked, drinks were bitter and nasty. Sham had to continuously apologise for the rate of the service, however my family and I found her patient and brilliant. I would not come here again.

Absolutely appalled by the way this Nando’s is run. Watching a single waiter being forced to clean tables, prepare takeaway orders, and serve food all at once is nothing short of exploitation. This is a blatant abuse of human labour, and it’s disgraceful for a company of this size to treat staff this way. Not only does it result in slow service, but more importantly, it’s completely unacceptable from an ethical standpoint. Management needs to sort this out immediately.

We rocked up about 3.30 on a Sunday and it was rather busy. We hadn't booked (and I'd recommend that you do) but we were extremely lucky. They didn't have any tables free and asked if we'd mind sitting at the bar, which was fine by us. The restaurant is on two floors, ground and lower ground. The lower ground floor was empty but they were not sitting people there. I'm guessing possibly staffing reasons. I had the burnt ends and my wife had the ribs. They both came with fries, coleslaw and a giant pickle slice. The coleslaw tasted like it was made in house and was really nice. Nice and creamy but not over the top. Fries were crispy with a lovely flavour to them. And the meat. OH MY GOD THE MEAT!!!!!! Melt in your mouth and to die for. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I couldn't have any alcohol due to a blood test, but the cocktails looked lovely. Something I'm sure I'll come back to next time. Staff were lovely and very friendly. I'll be trying their Covent Garden location at some point, but until then, a worthwhile stop off in Soho.

Estuve en el hotel The Dilly 3 noches. Nada más llegar fui a reservar al restaurante The Terrace para el afternoon tea. La persona encargada de las reservas me dijo que lo tenían todo lleno para los próximos 3 días, que tan solo quedaba un hueco libre para el día siguiente a la 1 pm. Le dije que era muy justo que pudiésemos estar de vuelta en el hotel a esa hora y me dijo que no había nada más. Fui a recepción y a Concierge y la respuesta es que todo dependía directamente del restaurante. Entonces probé de reservar online y para mi sorpresa había huecos libres para cada hora al día siguiente y reservé para las 2:30pm. Lo peor fue que cuando llegamos al día siguiente a las 2:30pm estaba el restaurante prácticamente vacío, solo había 3 mesas pequeñas ocupadas (foto adjunta). Me sentí totalmente engañada y me pareció inaceptable. Nadie se hizo responsable y nadie respondió a mis quejas. La única persona que respondió y se disculpó, aunque sin poder explicar lo que había pasado, fue Selim Atias (senior guest relations manager) quien fue muy amable y comprensivo. La calidad del afternoon tea es regular. Los scones lo mejor, los sandwiches un poco secos y las figuras dulces son muy vistosas y bonitas a la vista pero demasiado duras y empalagosas para comer. Hay sitios muchísimo mejores.
