Been here a few times just for a coffee but gets worse everytime I go Yesterday after a photo trip looking at the red stags my wife and I decided to have a small snack before moving to the other side of the park. Please explain how this order can be wrong Sausage bap Egg, sausage and bacon bap What came out was egg, sausage bap 4x bacon bap I asked the order to be changed it came back with Egg bap 3x bacon x2 sausage I asked where the extra bacon went and there was no answer, if I'm honest I don't think the guy severing could count any higher then 2 🙄 I toom the order and sorted it out on the tables outside so at least my wife could have a decent meal.. Watch eating outside as you get dive bombed with crows and birds.. No signs not to feed birds anywhere as lots of people feeding wildlife making the problem worse Oh and to boot TWENTY SIX POUNDS FOR TWO BAPS AND TWO CANS OF COKE!! I WILL NOT BE BACK!

My friends and I love to walk through Bushy Park and come here for a coffee to catch up, and it's absolutely lovely. Despite the long queues at times, the staff are lovely and the service is very quick. I had a salted caramel brownie and it was delicious, especially considering it was a gluten free bake. Our coffees were delicious and very filling, my hot chocolate was great. I would definitely come here more often if I lived nearby.

We haven't been here in a while but today we were extremely disappointed with everything here. Firstly, we were accompanied by a handful of pigeons inside the cafe. Everything was extremely overpriced for the quality that was provided. The breakfast tea was completely cold and didn't even come in a pot (as before), the only hot water was in an additional paper cup. Flavoured latte (we ordered hazelnut) was similar to a small size in Costa and nearly £5, except it was pure sugar and zero coffee. We were waiting on food for nearly 30mins, to be given stale pizza, and extremely dry burgers that lacked any sort of flavour. We never write reviews at restaurants but this was quite possibly the worst meals we have had in a very long time, and absolutely will not be coming back.

This is our regular stop off point for a coffee/tea in Bushy Park. It is in a lovely setting in the Woodland Gardens and the floor to ceiling windows make it even more special. It's good for a cuppa and the cakes are excellent (my favourites are the banana loaf and carrot cake). The food is expensive for what you get, for example, a vegan sausage roll is over £5 and it's just a standard size. It is a victim of it's location and can get very busy at weekends, although on weekdays it's generally fine. As such, you can wait quite a bit of time if you order hot food and you can end up clearing the table yourself if you want a seat. There is seating outside but don't leave your food unattended on account of the birds swooping in to grab your food! As the cafe is located in Woodland Gardens, dogs are not allowed, although there is outdoor seating which extends just outside Woodland Gardens with a booth where you can order food/drinks if you have a dog.

First time here. Absolutely awful. Kids running around. Granted it is Easter so you could overlook that but tables filthy. Covered in food. No one cleaning tables. Bird poo on seats. Mayhem inside. Limited food and hugely overpriced. Didn't even notice the scenery because the rest of it was so awful. For those who give this a high mark have low expectations in my opinion.

Another terrible experience here - such a disappointing offering for Bushy Park. The menu has become more limited since the refurb and the waiters / chefs are unhelpful in dealing with reasonable requests, ie. I asked for some cheese with my pasta and was refused. We had to clean our table ourselves and the wait with hungry kids was very long. Won't be returning even though we live in Teddington.

The food was OK: they catered for my wife's allergies well. However, the gluten-free toast was H-A-R-D; the bacon a tad undercooked and the sausages a tad overcooked. The order was taken by a very pleasant lady.

Great location in the park and it’s comfortably furnished. Food very average - microwaved ciabatta was chewy. Coffees fine. Main problem was the screaming toddlers - running around, and cycling (indoors) and on scooters. The noise was excruciating. So avoid unless you’ve got a few badly behaved kids who need to run off their energy and throw a bit of food around.

After running the Bushy Park Parkrun we are usually sceptical of using a park café due to the surge of customers all at once. We took our time to walk over, but was so pleased we did. There was no queue, and we only waited a few minutes to be served with a delicious breakfast, and a very welcome coffee.

The owner/manager was very rude! Could have said it in a nice manner, bought can of coke and 2 cappuccinos, had food from somewhere else, we ate in their cafe, and the owner/manager told us to take our food and leave, even though we bought 2 cappuccinos and coke! He should have said, we can eat now, next time please don’t bring food from somewhere else, he seemed racist. I would have rated zero stars but had no choice!

My partner and I went for a coffee with my sister and brother in law and their dog. We sat in the area wear dogs could go. My partner ordered 2 coffees, one latte and I ordered a black coffee.ordered two bacon baps, the young lady serving her English was poor. She served up half a cup of black coffee asked about the the baps she had not ordered them. She gave me a tablet with a number on it and should me it would go red. Took coffees away. The tablet flashed red. Went into get the baps confused where to collect as was not explained as I was visiting. Ques up then worked out where you had to go. The baps were not ready as I was told in the restaurant it would buzz. Went back to my table, with all the mucking about with the baps , coffee went cold. The tablet buzzed so went back and got baps, they were hot So that was good. My brother in law while ordering asked the lady twin if there was any sandwiches she appeared. It to understand and said no. When I went to get the baps there was sandwiches in the fridge. Overall disorganised and need people to be more customer awareness and needs better communication skills. I have been to this cafe a few times over the years as used to live in the area and grew up round there. Gone down hill 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Stopped with my cycling group for cake and coffee. We were queuing at the kiosk closer to the little bridge showing some really big pastries…pan au chocolate, cinnamon rolls, almond croissants…two of us decided to buy the pan au chocolate. It was really disappointing! Quite expensive for a very dry pastry that was hard to even tear with the fingers. The chocolate was nowhere to be seen, only one hard narrow stick in the very corner of it. We decided to return one of them and the young brunette lady said in response “Next time don’t buy it”. What sort of customer service is that for a pastry that was quite inedible? I wonder if we should try touching the food before buying so we know if it’s fresh and edible? Or maybe we should be psychics so we know what not to buy?

We went today to The Pheasantry Cafe for a nice lunch in the sun, and unfortunately we were given tasteless and very expensive food, all covered with hair and inaudible. I couldn't believe it when we received two bagels, one with over cooked halloumi cheese and has hair on it, and the bagel had no taste. As for the second bagel, salmon and cream cheese was smelly and served with extra hair. The bill is outrageously high for a small cafe and doesn't reflect the quolity.

Great location, especially with free parking nearby which was useful for our disabled visitor. Maybe we hit a bad time but inside, it was very noisy and although there were plenty of free tables, almost all of them hadn't been cleared. Eventually they were but it took staff a while (and there were definitely enough working to have been on top of this). Food wise, we had flat whites which were really good although overpriced considering they come in a paper cup, even when dining inside. The banana loaf was also delicious. This place will always make money given it's location and local market; compared to Nat Trust cafes though, it's a way behind and less pleasant.

If you want a good old slice of Victoria Sponge or a scone and jam don’t come here. There is very limited choice (like on the last visit) and the selection was a little too “try hard”. Folk don’t want pumpkin seeded flapjack or strange flavoured sponge cake! Additionally everything is very expensive - we noticed the veggie burger was more expensive (£14!) than the meat burger (and indeed most other main courses menu), now come on! On the plus side staff, although rushed off their feet, were helpful and trying hard to serve everyone efficiently. Nice setting in The Woodland Gardens. This is a Bushy Park issue but not nearly enough blue badge spaces in the car park so we had to park further away and Dad had to walk.

Ok place while you’re in the park but it is a bit pricey. Maybe it’s because we’re in Surrey? We tried the pizza with ham and rocket which I enjoyed eating but the ham content wouldn’t of upset a vegetarian, just 2 pieces (not slices) on one segment. I can only assume the chef got called away before he’d finished making it!Don’t go here if your on a tight family budget though, each pizza will cost you 10 to 12 quid and they aren’t massive so you’d need one each.At least it gave us time to rest up in the warm until we were ready to burn off some more of those Christmas calories. Would we call in again, yes probably if it was just for a drink.

Highlight of our Saturday morning is parkrun followed by breakfast with fellow parkrunners. They serve the very best scones with clotted cream & jam. My daughters love the paninis or the sandwiches, both of which are packed with filling, and delicious. There’s often a big queue and a wait, but you would expect this when over 100 people enter about the same time wanting their breakfasts. Full English breakfast is also very good. The staff are for the most part friendly & a pot of tea helpful, recognising is from seeing every week. Coffee is good & good. If we happen to linger too long into lunchtime, the food has been invariably good. Always busy, bustling with families & children. If you’re expecting to have a quiet peaceful corner, wrong place. We stopped for a quick sandwich and a coffee. Unfortunately this took far longer than it should for a quick snack. We had to chase a rather disinterested server twice to ask where our food was. We weren’t told what the problem was but in the end we waited for 35 to 40 minutes ... and all we had ordered was a panini which just needs a couple of minutes to heat up! We think the problems are caused by a chaotic system of identifying food orders. We were given a bucket with a number on it. When the food is ready the waiters then wander round looking for the number. The numbers are small and not obvious so tricky to match what they are carrying to the order number. Why doesn’t the restaurant just use table numbers or more visible pointers like other places?! Once the food arrived it was nice but we won’t return as the whole experience was pretty frustrating.

The second time we went we had Sausage baps and avocardo and poached eggs on toast the sausage baps were nice but the avocardo on toast looked like it had just been thrown on the plate and the egg was hard, really not worth the money. Usually latte costs around £2.50 here but due to hot weather i ordered a iced latte to take away. Was charged £4.50!!! I queried this, as i didnt see cost displayed anywhere, staff struggled shoulders .And no lid was available for the cup, which meant i had to juggle my very expensive cup of coffee and a buggy with 2 children. Called here on a saturday, with grandkids at lunchtime for a snack. Tasty sandwiches and delicious cake, but very expensive. Very busy, with lots of young children and buggies everywhere, with the resultant noisy clatter.

Came here for the first time when my partner and I travelled through Bushy Park, and it was sublime. I had carbonara, my partner has chicken burger, we were surprised it felt like high end restaurant standard. Had a brownie afterwards which was soooooo chocolatey, will come back for those!

The sandwiches and cakes are amazing, well worth paying that little bit more, fresh bread and well filled, the chocolate brownies are like sex on a plate!

It's such a shame that this cafe doesn't take advantage of it's location, being the only cafe within the beautiful Bushy Park. The staff were rude, the coffee was awful. A plain beef burger costs £8.50, an extra £1.50 for cheese and bacon, another £1.50 for rosemary chips (which are in fact just plain chips - there was no rosemary). £15 poorer for a burger that was so tough and rubbery I could barely cut into it - it was clearly just a cheap frozen burger in a cold soggy bun. As tempted as you may be to stop off here after a long run/dog walk in Bushy Park, just don't - just outside of the park are other cafes much more deserving of your money!

This cafe is in an excellent location in the middle of Bushy park and is very popular with families. It is very busy, the food and drinks are ok but a bit expensive and tables are often dirty.

I am a regular runner and dog walker in Bushy Park. There is only one cafe within the park setting where you can sit inside and buy food and drink. You can buy food at a caravan which is cheaper and serves relatively decent bacon or sausage rolls/sandwiches etc with a decent cup of coffee. The Pheasantry likes to give the image that it is a high end cafe serving high end food. The coffee is not good. The food on Sunday morning was really really poor - avocado served on what should have been decent bread but was not as advertised on the menu, was not toasted properly, was soggy and cold. The young man was rude, unhelpful and not proactive with information regarding food choices. He looked bored out of his mind. He was most certainly not welcoming. The food on Sunday was over ambitious for the calibre and ability of the cooks present on that day. There were a couple of other staff members who were friendly and helpful clearing tables. This cafe is full every Saturday morning after a local running group finishes it's run. This is a market that the cafe should embrace and ensure are served quickly and efficiently. It happens every Saturday so no one should be surprised. The cafe just does not seem to alter its pace or provide enough staff to cope with these increased numbers. I have also felt disgruntled as a frequent user of the park waling my dog, maybe 3/4 times a week, that there is not a covered area that is dog friendly. Dog walkers are now leaving the park to drink and eat at a local cafe just outside the park gates that is dog friendly. I am not sure who this cafe is aimed at as families would find it far too expensive. Please please Pheasantry Cafe - get your act together. You are situated in the most beautiful setting - many of us are missing out.

A beautiful setting just and I mean just makes up for the pot luck food and awful service. Inflated prices are not too concerning considering the beautiful setting and hopefully some of the funding going towards the upkeep of the park itself. I purchased a child’s ham roll for £2.50 and it was awful. Crumbling roll, no butter, to be fair when I mentioned it to a member of staff she took the criticism well and bought back a like cake for my son as an apology.

There is serious quality problem when staff have mixed up the soup container with the coffee container! The price list showed “Black Americano” but the coffee was not made in the classic Americano method (ie hot water and espresso). Clearly the container that the coffee was served from had previously been used for soup and not been cleaned properly. Yuk.

I'm not an experienced cafe-goer - certainly not during opening hours - but The Pheasntry proved a convivial joint to see me through the first of my dry January meal occasions after a wander through the park. All was great. There is a slightly annoying school-dinnerslike queuing system but I can't see a better way of delivering the nosh without pushing prices up. All the food looked great and the tuna sandwich I chose was tasty and full of fish! Coffee was pleasant enough, although the cafe latte that arrived did not quite deliver the two-espresso kick I had hoped for from the flat white that was ordered. A great cold/wet weather refuge with lovely views of the arcadian surrounds. I bet they make a fortune there!!

So the £7.95 full english - this is served on a T-plate. Great for portion control for a diet, but really, you can get a decent breakfast on a grown up plate for this price. On top of this, most of it was cold. Being fair, the staff warmed it up a little. But a bit of a rip off. Its a busy cafe understaffed so staff not to blame.

A name that is a tongue-in-cheek reference to an outstanding restaurant could suggest irony. However, the food here is really good! Speak to the chef, go with his recommendations and the love your meal is prepared with will ensure your delight.

The staff made us feel very welcome and the service was both friendly and efficient. We had a family reunion with lots of children of various ages . We had a great lunch and have fond memories. Would recommend this pub . Special thank you to Jade .

Great location and good service but they need to re-think their wrap. I upgraded to the larger one and got the tiniest bit of chicken in it.
