A name that is a tongue-in-cheek reference to an outstanding restaurant could suggest irony. However, the food here is really good! Speak to the chef, go with his recommendations and the love your meal is prepared with will ensure your delight.

Just wow! Have ordered a takeaway on a few occasion from here and it has not disappointed. The pizza is magnificent. Although the tiramisu portion is big it is too creamy and lacks that coffee hit! But the pizza will have me placing my next order soon!!!

Bar staff seems okay but the beer garden was very dirty. Wouldn’t recommend taking dogs or children as the floor was covered in bits of rubbish like used tissues and wet wipes!

Got takeaway pizza from Vincenzo’s kitchen during lockdown and it was fantastic!! Great quality food and the spicy chicken side and onion rings were delicious. Will definitely be back now they’re open again.

Vincenzo staff and food was amazing however the part of the pub that serves beer and drinks from the owner and waiters where awful and rude with kids and family. It’s pointless to go there since Vincenzo will close the collaboration in the end of July. Not family friendly at all.

My wife and I wanted to try it as we live in the area, but on looking around as we entered, we were not impressed at all, the kitchen is on view as you walk through to the garden, and to us it did not look that clean, nor the young man doing the cooking, we decided to look else where.

Absolutely love the Bloated Mallard, and its cosy beer garden. And we finally managed to eat at Vincenzo's. The pizze are sooo amazing!!! The best pizza this side of Italy (trust me, I'm Italian!). The toppings are varied, delicious, authentic, and the quantity is really great, perfectly spread over a crisp, tasty handmade pizza base. We tried both the charcoal and the green variations, WOW! Plus Vincenzo is truly friendly, kind, fast, and a real pizzaiolo - he's from Naples! We'll go again asap, hopefully once a month. We can't believe our luck to have found it! Five stars although it deserves ten. Grazie Vincenzo (and grazie Bloated Mallard).

Do not be deceived by the nondescript exterior of Bloated Mallard and assume that their menu is a pizza oven churning out UK-style spaghetti swimming in sauce. Vincenzo's is a proper restaurant named after the chef, and his menu of authentic southern Italian fare are made with the freshest ingredients (think blue swimmer crabs), al dente pasta and loads of passion. We ordered the Linguine Vongole, Linguine Gamberoni, Tagliatelle Bolognese (children's portions sell for 5 quid and are 3/4 of an adult's portion). The prawns were tasty down to the legs while the clams were succulent, not to mention the sweet cherry tomatoes. For dessert we had the home-made tiramisu and torta caprese - just the right level of sweetness! Vincenzo is super friendly and always happy to customise dishes. Do ask him about the off-menu specials of the day! Highly recommend for family meals and special occasions. Al fresco seating available in the spacious backyard.

Have been here for drinks a few times and was never too interested in the food as just though it it was a pizza oven. Mistake! Proper Italian food. Finally tried a pizza and risotto and both were delicious, best in town, good portions, fresh, tasty and friendly Italian chef as well as bar staff. They should really push the food more, so good! A real pleasure

The food at Vincenzo's is incredible! The pizza's are JUST WOW and Vincenzo himself, such a great guy! I thoroughly recommend for a real taste of Italy xxx <3 <3 <3

I am so glad we found Vincenzo and his kitchen - one of the best authentic Italian restaurants I've found around. The taste reminds me of eating in Italy - fresh ingredients, al dente pasta, flavoursome food, cooked to perfection. The Mixed seafood salad I had the other day was to die for. Keep up the good work!

Myself and my roommate have been to Vincenzo's many times. Food is always an amazing standard every time we go! Pizza and pasta are homemade, are fresh and one of the best Italian places I've been to. Reminds me of the food in Italy! His deserts are amazing- cheesecake is delicious

How long you can wait for delivery? Always same problem this time they been late over 1 hour! When we tried to call and ask where is our food manager was very RUDE! Unacceptable service! Food is good but how they treat customer is very bad! Sorry but I don't order again because you are so arrogant and rude!

Pub at front and a great Italian at the back. Lovely friendly staff with plenty of banter. Unhurried. Food was all lovely. Special pizza with charcoal base was fantastic. Good selection of drinks in the pub at the front. Good selection for vegetarians. Will definitely return.

Awful pub. It's dark, dingy with a miserable atmosphere like everyone is there to just drown their sorrows.

Vincenzo’s kitchen is at the back of this rather lacklustre pub but the food was a revelation. Traditional pasta followed by an amazing cheesecake with wonderful forest fruit sauce, and a complimentary taste of wonderful tiramisu on the side. Thank you. We will be back to try the pizzas!

A lot of potential when it first opened but the service started to get arrogant and it now it seems they are doing people a favour by serving them; overall, very poor and this is before one takes the price into account.

We called in for lunch and something to drink. Mistake! Check the Food Hygiene rating...not good. The council rate it at 'improvement necessary'. Only 2/5 Wow!

Had a lovely meal with 2 three year olds. Delicious food, great pasta dishes and pizza the children loved. Topped off with a beautiful cheesecake. Vincenzo’s kitchen was fab, great food, great friendly service. Highly recommend

Dropped by for a drink during a walk and received a very warm friendly welcome. Quiet, but good pub by atmosphere, not dominated by TV sport!

Nipped I’m on Friday around 10pm, ordered a round, asked why my drinks were in plastic glasses (tiny ones at that) and was told due to the parade. Fair enough, but the parade finished at 7.30?! Offered no ice or customer service, bar staff were miserable. charged an obscene amount for such a small drink. One was a coke and was Like a kids party plastic cup, no ice, no effort. Just checked my back statement and was also charged £9.40 for a vodka and lemonade? Tiny one again! Also friends ate and the chips were frozen in the middle. Feel ripped off and def would never go back.

Great location but unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Clearly more interested in getting rid of us quickly, than providing a good service. Won't be back!

Visited for a drink and possibly meal. Unwelcoming atmosphere. Saw that they had a selection of gins on bar so asked if they had any interesting mixers, answered with a sneer and "tonic". Served in unsuitable glasses. Bar untidy, table grubby. Didn't eat, won't be back.

Then pizza express. Pizzas here are out if this world. So flavourful. Amazingly delicious. Fast service can’t wait sit to try the 🍝

Used to be a great pub. Went today and garden filthy. Cigarette ends everywhere, crushed beer cans and old paper plates litter the garden. Looks like landlord has given up but do not know why?

This used be a great pub, it's a pity how it's fallen below a satisfactory standard, staff are very professional but no food on the day we popped in, excuse was, not enough customers to warrant opening the kitchen, this I'm afraid is a slippery slope to oblivion

Encontramos el tesoro de un lugar por casualidad mientras espera para jugar. Realmente personal profesional y un gran servicio. Decidimos tomar un aperitivo con la familia y no me decepcionó. Todo era fresco y bien preparado. Si vas, tienes que probar los nuggets borrachos! El sabor y la ternura de la carne era exquisita, se deshacen en la boca, el chef me dijo que tome tres días para preparar, y se nota en la comida.

Recientemente me comí en el hinchado Mallard que tienen en mi Parrilla en la cocina. Tuve una cena con asado, que incluía una cadera y cap fue cocinado a la perfección. Verduras tiernas, riquísimo, una carne asada de patatas pudding de Yorkshire y grasa de ternera estofado malbec complementa el plato perfectamente! Volveré más tan pronto como sea posible.

Me llevaron aquí por unos amigos durante un viaje de negocios. Aunque nuestra intención era tener sólo las bebidas, pero la carne era tan buena que no podía resistir. Estoy muy contento de haber actuado como los bistecs eran maravillosos y muy bien de precio. Gran lugar para ir después de trabajar para algunas bebidas y buena comida. Si viviese en la zona sería un lugar favorito.

Muy buen pub local con personal amable y propietario que siempre te hace sentir bienvenido. Una buena selección de cervezas, un par de sidras y cervezas de barril. Empezaron haciendo comida y colaborar con en el Grill un conocido proveedor de la comida de la calle Londres cocinar algunos de los sabrosos filetes, inspirándose en los sabores de la argentina.

We love our local! Great staff with cosy atmosphere...newly opened restaurant section amazing steak but it's a shame there aren't any non red meat options for the Mrs! Come and hang for a pint or 4 and you'll have a great night!

The Bloated Mallard is now doing food again, so we went in for lunch on Sunday.The kitchen is being run by Up In My Grill, who specialise in steaks. It was really lovely food, well cooked &amp; presented and meant we could have a couple of pints &amp; lunch after a soggy walk in Bushy Park with the dog.We had Rump Steak (cooked to perfection) &amp; fries for my husband and vegetable bake &amp; salad for me as I don't eat meat. The fries were to die for too!!I'm so glad food is being served in the pub again as I love the pub but without the food it was getting a bit quiet. Now it feels alive again, with a good atmosphere, friendly staff &amp; very dog friendly.Well done The Bloated Mallard &amp; Up In My Grill.We look forward to going back again :)

I've never eaten at the Bloated Mallard despite visiting a number of times, and I'm not alone – it's rare to see anyone sitting down for dinner. Where it does excel is on a hot summer's afternoon due to a decent sized beer garden out the back. The beers are good, with a decent selection offered. Staff are friendly and quick.They play great music of an evening and as others have said, it's a bit more lively and happening than most pubs in Hampton Hill. Not what you want every time you go to the pub, but nice to have a place that offers something a bit different for when you do.

Burgers here are amazing, and inexpensive! Would defo recommend, lovely staff. They make you feel very welcome, and you need to try everything on the menu, so good!

Im always amazed at the level of service in this place. Staff are not friendly or efficient and I wonder if the place is clean enough. Has that smell and sticky touch of old beer that hasnt been cleaned properly. Its a shame as so many pubs in the High Street have closed down that this one will be going that way too if it carries on like it is. The owner should get on the case and smarten things up a bit. Its about 3 out of 10 when it could be better. im sure people visit cos of the lack of decent pubs in the area now

I have never eaten here so can't comment on the food. The interior is dark and drab. The staff seem randomly friendly.Not a good ale pub as they often only have one or two. AVOID Friday/Saturday evenings.Go and sit in the garden quickly where there isn't a vague smell of the toilets.Seems to be THE pub for late teens/early 20s in this area drinking lager and shots at weekends.If you want a traditional pub for grown-ups go to The Roebuck round the corner.

The staff are friendly, the service can be slow when ordering food, the pricing is on par with the rest of Hampton Hill – expensive for what it is. The food is nice but not worth the price. They need to clean the garden, especially the ashtrays.When it is first opened, it was very busy and within a few weeks became quiet. Seems to rely on the usual crowd to get drunk.

I came to visit old colleagues for a meeting today, we got to lunch and they took me here. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and decent lagers on tap. If you are looking for a good place for a pint on the high street it's worth a look.

Despite it's funky appearance and friendly staff this place is an old school Boozer.Ordered two coffees, totally undrinkable, and I'm not being pretentious, they were genuinely really sour. As was the atmosphere, with every one in there totally legless by 5pm on a Sunday afternoon. I was looking for a nice local pub but sadly this one isn't for me.

Stopped off on a bike ride in Bushy Park, after spotting their garden.Pros: the food we had (chicken burgers with a few different trimmings) and chips was very nice and good value for money - refreshing to be able to get a burger for under £10 in Greater London! The staff were friendly and attentive.Cons: the beer garden is full of cigarette butts, which spoiled what is otherwise a nice space. All it would take is a sweep every so often! Also, the interior of the pub sadly smells of urine and the decor/furniture looks very tired - it's also very dark.Conclusion, food is good value for money, so I would come again for a quick lunch and sit outside, but wouldn't linger!

Come from out of the area and was visiting friends with our puppy. We were told to stop here for a drink as they are dog friendly! They were not wrong! Fantastic garden very clean! Lovely place will defiantly be back!

Have given this pub 3 times to see if any change. Staff rude to the point of blatantly ignoring you and rather serve their friends ahead of anyone else. As for food, 2 fishcakes on a piece of wood with a lettuce leaf for £9 is a complete rip off. Generally an unfriendly pub with no idea of customer service.

Decided to give this place a try, it turned out to be a success! The barman, Archie I think his name was, was very helpful and recommended the big frank hotdog, very nice and good portion! The selection beers are good, and the spirit shelf is very visually impressive! Would recommend to anyone to give it a visit

Popped in for pre theatre ( Hampton Playhouse? food. would liked to have the Fish finger sandwich ( Yummy) but stop lunch menu at 5pm.

This is great pub in Hampton Hill High Street. The staff are always friendly, the food is good (American grill style) and what's not to like about sitting in the garden when the sun is shining. It has a good atmosphere both day and evening. It is also very dog friendly.All in all, a really great local pub!!

Good range of beers but wine expensive. Have had to ask for beer to be topped up! Good music Thursday evenings but generally quiet except weekends! Tends to be a young crowd!

I had a half rack it was smoky but I like it that way, the chips where nice and it is good value, service was good and it has a ok size beer garden

Good looking lunchtime menu so I opted for the full rack of ribs (£14.95).What arrived after 20 mins was a disaster.There were two sections to my 'full rack' (had they been cooked before or been sitting too long in the fridge ?) and I kid not,the ends of the two portions and the undersides had solid lumps of black charcoal,not meat,it had gone way way over.The thing was so bad that it was a trial to even cut between the ribs.Dry as a bone would have been kind.So I sent it back and after about 10 mins had a freshly cooked full rack (all in one section) which was as it was supposed to be,succulent and tasty,together with chunky chips and pink coleslaw.Point being that the first attempt should NEVER have been served.It was ghastly.No plaudits for either the kitchen or the manager who served it.The fact that 'getting it right' was as it should have been is not good enough.The excuse ? "Chef had a lot of orders at the time".There were only ten other people in the place.The beer was Twickenham Naked Ladies (£4.00) which was sound.

After a disappointing experience at another Hampton pub, we made our way here for lunch. They don't do roasts but the food was absolutely amazing and well within budget. We ordered three burgers and two half racks of ribs - burgers were decent, meaty and if extra toppings were ordered, they were very generous! Ribs were good - just the right amount. We stayed and had a few drinks in their garden area and the staff were great (especially barman in black rimmed glasses). We also enjoyed the chef singing along to the radio in the kitchen (haha) during our meal. Great visit, will definitely be back.

Went to this pub several weeks before Christmas. After a few drinks we decide to head somewhere else, I unfortunately was stupid enough to leave my coat, and realised as soon as I was in the taxi. Call and speak to someone behind the bar who confirmed that a River Island coat had been left, and I can come and get it whenever. A week later, I call to say that I will be picking my coat up soon, whenever I can next get to Hampton. Again, "yep that's fine, it's here".Finally, I get a chance to come pick the coat up. I speak to the guy behind the bar, who goes to look for it and comes up with nothing. Very confused by this point. Leave a contact number and ask a manager to call me back. They don't, so I call back a few days later and they say they'll investigate after I gave them the date, time etc.I have to call back again......"well, there's no coat here like that. Never seen one, he must've made a mistake.""The staff that were working that night are on holiday. Not sure when they're back."So long story short, I visit the pub again and ask for the manager who repeats this...my coat has mysteriously disappeared and never to be seen again.Understandably my fault for leaving it in the first place, but things don't just vanish into thin air. £50 coat gone, never returning again!

Great place. Food is excellent- if had their pulled pork burger and its soooooo tasty. Great fries too. Good friendly staff and loads of space. Garden for the summer.

We went here for lunch after a walk in Bushy Park ( I would recommend such a lovely walk)...ordered a chicken burger and hot dog, the menu is sort of an american grill menu. The food was really tasty, well priced and the service was good. They have a lovely beer garden if the weather is good.

This is the second time I have been here. Always at lunch time. It is quiet, but the food has always been good. Cooked on site, with fresh ingredients. A good selection of beers too. Staff have always been attentive and helpful.Litmus test- the evening, which I have yet to sample.

Great potential spoilt by very poor service verging on rudeness. I can't believe the staff can't do better than this, whoever owns this pub is losing money - we won't be going back.

Went in the summer for a week day pint. Got the pint but was shown indifference by the staff. No effort made. Tried again tonight and the same attitude. Basically if you don't arrive in time to give them enough money they don't care. Shame. It's a nice venue.

We come here on Thursday nights for the acoustic beer and burger evenings.The music is top quality and so it the food and service.Have been back time and time again with different friends and family and always been pleased with the food and service.It's a very nice chilled out place to visit.

Atmosphere is amazing as soon as you walk, although they were very busy, service and attention was excellent! The food is just amazing! I hear the new chef (Adam) has really turned it around! Would recommend to anyone! The ribs were outstanding!!

Think the owners need to ensure there are two listings but as there only appears to be one... this is for the restaurant outside Teddington Station. High expectations let down execution. The bar looks lovely but the fires had not been lit so it was more than chilly (not helped by being near the door) The food was quite nice and presentation was very good but portions were designed for weight watchers. Sausage and mash comes with... sausage... and mash :) plus a small container of (rather nice) onion gravy! Wine was nice, beer was fine, service was very pleasant but bar gets a little noisy when 'the lads' come in. Not a problem, just had to start speaking more loudly. amused by the over watered pot plant and the water running across the warped floor boards looking like the over watering had been a bit of a trend... will be a future quirky feature... well... unless somebody trips over it that is :)

we went to the bloated mallard on the last Sunday and we did the right choice the food was lovely i had a roast beef and my husband pork it was sublime i wanted to ask for the sauce recipe , the service was very attentive and fast above all we loved it and definitely will recommend it to friends.

the best Sunday roast ever,I highly recommend this place for food.my beef was perfectly medium rare just how i wanted it and the yokshire pudding was really nicemy mum was really satisfied wich is not usuly her case when we go out lol..we will be back soon

Pretty average and not much better than it's sister restaurant, The Bloated Mallard in Teddington, which my husband and I also won't be going back to. On our last visit the owner was having a blazing row with his girlfriend. We paid up and left quickly. A shame as we were looking forward to this place being our local having just moved to the area.

This place is really awful. £11 for a pretty basic cheese burger is seriously pushing it. It wasn’t that the burger was bad so much as grotesquely overpriced. We were also served something they called soup which was viscous and inedible. The Bloated was virtually empty the night we were there, so clearly word has spread that this is a place to be avoided at all costs. Tragic that this used to be a decent local.

There are not many places on Hampton HiIl High St at the moment - this is a great place for a Mums Night Out (school) - if you go on a weekday (not Fri) they let you reserve a few tables (a pleasant conservatory area) at no charge ... The Teddington branch is MUCH busier and you have to pay for the room. Have to admit that at time of reviewing I have not yet eaten at the place but when I do I will follow up .,. the staff were certainly very friendly and obliging . Of course it is new .....

Dont expect the memorabilia and decor of the original counterpart pub in Teddington (Bloated Mallard TW11) but more spacious and good meeting place for locals who work and live in the area.
