Food was excellent and good value for money.

The girl behind the bar was so rude. Was at the bar then was told to come right down to to the other end of the bar to order. Then to be asked in these words WHAT DO YOU WANT. Unbelievable

Food was very good, like the menu, some staff need to cheer up a touch, chap with the beard always welcoming. Clean but toilets need attention and more regular checks as both soaps were empty, only one dryer.

We were celebrating a new colleague joining at work. We ordered easily on the app, drinks arrived quickly and so did the food. Everything was tasty, with friendly service checking how everything was. All very efficient and tasty. It has improved over the past year for sure.

Table booked for 6.15 now 7 pm and still waiting for a prawn cocktail for starter won’t be coming back

We enjoyed a lovely evening at The Pheasant. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the atmosphere in the place was warm and inviting. The food was very nice and really good value for money. We couldn't fault it. I had the veggie chili and it was very tasty. It was also served quickly and hot. Overall, we liked it there and would definitely go back again.

Four of us spent a great day at the pub. Lovely food, great drinks & cocktails & friendly bar staff. Stopped going here three years ago, but the team have completely turned the place around, so good to have a decent local pub within walking distance, see you very soon.

Booked a table for the family was very disappointed when ordering the food, once it was ordered and pre paid for not one person mentioned the kitchen run out of certain foods untill the food was placed on the table. Servers didn’t ask for alternatives sides as we was all given half a meal, lettuce in the burger was brown and soggy and a small wine glass is bigger then the rocky road dessert. Even when dessert did come out, the table wasn’t cleared from the mains, looking around the restaurant there was only 3 tables in the area that was finishing up so I wouldn’t class that as busy.

Pub seemed to be app service only, with very little interaction from staff. Only 3 ales on draught, so chose 1 only to then be told it wasn't available, but the person who came over want able to say what the alternatives were without going back to the bar. Decided on an alternative, but then that one was off and tasted like vinegar. The food was nice, but not worth the stress of the visit!!

The food was great but the service was terrible. We ordered Lasagna and Steak and Ale pie. They were reasonably priced and when they finally turned up very tasty. I question putting spicy cous cous as part of a side salad served with an Italian dish but it didn’t detract from the meal. The service was appalling. First the bar person asked who was next. There were only three people waiting! Luckily we were all honest. Then my drink was filled with ice when I specifically asked for it without. The menu didn’t state there was a choice of chips or mash so although that was a nice surprise it was a bit annoying as I had to guess my partners preference. After 20 minutes no food had arrived. I returned to the bar and queried this-they really weren’t busy. I was told that there was a 30 minute delay. I asked why we weren’t informed and was told the bar person hadn’t been told. It took another 15 minutes for it to arrive. My boyfriend is not the most patient of people so it totally ruined our romantic lunch. The apology we received was late and limp. Hopefully this is not reflective of their normal service as it’s a nice pub and as I said before the food was very good.

Four adults had lunch here & we booked a table for 2pm. Pub is roomy & family orientated with a small kids play area. Pool table is available at £1.50 a game that takes card payments. It kept rejecting coins . TV on the wall showing horse racing was in the pool table area, as well as a dart board. Outside seating is available and the place was busy but not overcrowded or noisy . Food was fairly reasonable. Pie, chips, peas & gravy was £11.29 each and was cooked nicely. A fair few items were off the menu as no stock available but all 4 of us found something to eat. I think the drinks are expensive. Nearly £14.00 for a pint of Fosters & a white wine spritzer. Staff were helpful & location is ok. Free parking on site but limited, as other shops are at this location. Would probably go back again.

Lovely pub unfortunately some of the food was under par. The order of Hunters chicken came without the onion rings or rocket, nobody came to advise that these items were out of stock and offer us a different side. The burger came out and had brown lettuce inside (not crisp as expected). Some items on the menu were also out of stock. The other food we had was good. It seemed that there wasn’t enough staff as the wait to be seated was a good 10 mins and quite a wait at the bar.

Great place to relax the food is always spot on whatever you order .staff are always courteous and helpful good value for money a place we always will revisit

We booked a table for 7, 5 which where children and they had a lovely area for them to play, staff was friendly and food was amazing and cheap couldn't recommend this place anymore it was a lovely family friendly pub/restaurant

Busy Sunday but the bar was completely understaffed. Seemed to be the manager and one other person looking after the whole pub. Staff that were there were polite but completely run off their feet. The manager informed us that he had not had time to check the online reservation system and so just to find a table. Being quiet busy, took us a while to find a free table. Ordered online as the bar was swamped. Took an hour for the meal to arrive from ordering. Food was nice and fresh though and everyone was happy with meal.

We pre-booked a table around an hour before arrival and when we get here they were not expecting us. The manager advised that they printed there arrival list at 10am and had not checked it since. He advised he needed to check the back of house report which he then went before the bar and started serving other guests, that’s a great back of house check. A waiter came over and due to being on crutches i required asssitance and found a table for us, but there was only an hour to have the table. So to order food and eat it in an hour, which is fine doesn’t worry us however, the food then arrived 10 minutes before 2pm which is when we had to give the table back by… We didn’t rush our food and was watched and checked on 5 times! After we had finished our last mouthful they were there cleaning the table ready for their next one.

Wait times for food have exceeded 1 hour 20 minutes in each of the 3 previous visits. I think this should be a key area to tackle to improve the business.

Very dissatisfied, first in so hopefully have a good meal, ordered 2 Sunday roasts with extra side portionof mash, when food came found it to be cold, told waitress who looked and asked if I would like it replaced err yeah, took meal away, when it was finally returned I pointed out that the gravy and extra portion of mash was now cold, she looked at me like a deer in the headlights and said enjoy your meal.

Most times I come into the pheasant isn't an enjoyable experience and I'm met with not very welcome faces. But everytime Morgan is working, she makes a point of saying hello and asking how I am. She is an absolute super star! She is so professional and will go above and beyond to make your experience 10 out of 10. I will only be back in the future if Morgan is given the recognition that she is truly deserved.

A relative brought my children here a few times over the summer. They both really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, so much so they requested to go again and again. I came in to see what all the fuss was about and it didn't disappoint. Morgan was particularly friendly as were other staff members we encountered. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Went here for my leaving lunch. 16 of us all ordering at the same time. Food took a while to come out (but that was ok as we had time to catch up). We all ended up with our food at the same which was great. Fish and chips was huge, Mac and cheese was really tasty, and tohe chicken tikka masala, lovely as always. Service was with a smile and Craig took his time to talk to us and make sure we were all settled with our meals and everything ok Asked for allergies when we ordered. Ideal place for larger groups and the staff were fab and friendly. Well done to them all.

Great pub for a quiz on Monday nights with cheap beer aswell. We often go here for family meals as well as every Monday for the quiz. It's such a friendly pub and they have a great menu and cater for those with allergies and they have a gluten free menu too. They are always so welcoming and friendly. Food is brilliant and the quizzes are so much fun. I would definitely recommend.

We always come on a Monday Evening for Craig’s quiz. It’s always fun, Craig is a great quiz master (more food questions please) and the atmosphere is always good. If I ever can’t make it I always miss it.

Your poor bar staff and also kitchen staff, we feel so sorry for them. Massively understaffed in both areas. It took 18 minutes to be served drinks at the bar. We sat down to our 18:15 table booking at 18:29. When I went to the bar to order food I waited 10 minutes to then be told that the wait for food would be 1 hr 30 mins minimum. At that point we decided to leave. It totally ruined our date night for our treat whilst we were off work. We ended up buying food from Tesco’s express and cooking for ourselves and washing up too which of course was not the plan or point to booking a table at the pheasant. Your staff need more help, it’s not their fault, it’s managements fault.

Been to the Pheasant lots of times now in the last few months. What started as a beer and a game of pool with some friends. We are now in regularly as the food is great the pool table is well looked after. The Staff are really friendly and help when my older friend Brian needs looking after. Great selection of beers too.

Coming as a couple on a Saturday evening, we were very disappointed. First, half of the meal menu was not available to order. The burger was overcooked and the sausage/mash was completely submerged in the sauce.

We came to the pheasant today for a roast for my husbands birthday which we booked online this morning.We arrived at 3.45 to be told no roasts!!My husband ordered the sirlion steak with peppercorn sauce.The lady that served us our meal was quite rude and miserable when i asked for my husbands peppercorn sauce.Her response was i didnt see it on the order,which i replied i paid for it!She came back with the sauce and said i was right!!!No apology and her customer service was shocking overall.We will not recommend The pheasant and we will not return again.My husband complained the steak was chewy and he left half of it,the reply was sorry about that!!There was no, we could give you a refund or compensate you with something else.The staff dont seem bothered about their customers at all.Maybe thats why the place was dead!!

It's local to us, never been disappointed , excellent service, polite staff and satisfying meals which there are plenty to choose from.

We went to this restaurant, and right from the start, the experience was disappointing. Before even saying hello, the server's only concern was to ask us which table we were sitting at. It was impossible to ask any questions, as the only thing that seemed to matter to him was our table number. No hello, no thank you, no please, and not even a goodbye.Outside, I eventually ordered a cheeseburger. I'll let you see the photos, but the cheese and lettuce were simply non-existent. I’ve never eaten a burger as dry as this in my life. To be honest, I didn't even finish it because after just one bite, it felt like eating a burger that had been recooked four or five times. The most regrettable part is that somewhere in the world, there's probably a shoe without a sole that was used to make this burger.

I was greeted instantly as I walked through the door, was asked if I had a booking and was sat immediately. Food was excellent as usual, the server (Morgan) was extremely attentive to our needs. She was asking how our meal was and delivered extra sauces at our request instantly. I suggest you try the club sandwich or tuna melt as they were delicious!

Just been to the pheasant Ashford and was disgusted with the cutlery , the knifes looked like they had been used as screwdrivers the forks all the four prongs were bent, I asked for a different set and that was worse than the ones before and then I found some foreign object stuck to my pint glass half way through the pint absolutely disgusted, ended up asking for some foil to wrap my food up so i could take it home but if the cutlery you present to customers is that badly scratched up what does the kitchen equipment your cooking with look like and how sanitary is it ! I have pictures. Been back since the review and the same if not worse. Same cutlery OMG

Not been here for a while & it looks like we've been missing out! We dropped in at lunchtime today and had the, Cowboy burger with sweet potato fries and a Prawn jacket with salad, plus a pint and a diet coke. Everything was cooked and presented very nicely 👌 We found all of the staff very friendly & everything looked very clean & tidy. Well done 👏

Best evening for my mums 60th birthday, accommodating there was 24 of us!! Food was lovely,they stored our birthday cake for us and brought it out nothing was too much trouble. We were able to relax whilst the kids played in the kids area waiting for dinner, brilliant evening. Thank you

Nice local pub with a great selection of drinks and food. Menu is varied and caters really well for vegetarians (one in our party used the vegetarian menu and loved it). Keep your eyes open for their deals on food. We went on a Friday and it was any pizza for £5 which in my opinion was amazing as the pizzas are freshly prepared and cooked in a dedicated pizza oven. A little bit noisy but honestly that's because it's a popular local place.

It was my birthday and my grand daughter's birthday. There were quite a few of us ordering drinks and food but the staff handled it brilliantly and with a smile. The food quality was good for the price and the speed at which it was served was acceptable.

Absolutely disgraceful experience.arrived at our alloted time to find we hadn't been given a table .after quickly rearranging tables we were shown to a table.whilst sat at our table one of the bar staff kept coming round looking at us in the manner that we shouldn't be sat there. One of our party went to order our food only to be told that there wasn't enough stock to make up 3 mixed grills .this isn't the first time this has happened either . When the food did arrive it was up to a reasonable standard but apart from that the whole experience really was shockingly poor

We had a family meal for my parents 50th wedding anniversary at the pheasent pub in Ashford. Kelly looked after us extremelly well and was very helpful and got us a dog bowl of water. She checked on us regularly to make sure everything was OK. The food was fabulous and all came at the same time and we had a party of 15. Great service and atmosphere. Thank you Kelly for making a special occasion memorable.

Bar staff were rude, didn’t make us feel welcome or comfortable, really enjoyed my previous visits but after this experience I wouldn’t bother coming back again. Food was good and quick to the tables Morgan was the nicest employee in the place Steve was the worst (rude and ignorant)

Decided to try somewhere different for an evening meal, so myself brother and Father ended up at the Pheasant. Despite most of the items on the menu being fried food, it was very tasty and not at all oily or saturated, and the food was nicely hot. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the waiting staff (Niamh & Steve) were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The value for money was also pretty decent for what we're good size portions.

June 2023 *Lovely buffet with a good selection of food. July 2024 * came in for lunch and had the mega mixed grill, everything was delicious with perfectly cooked,runny yolk fried eggs.

Niamh is the most Amazing hostess I’ve ever met. We went to the pheasant for some drinks and she welcome with the biggest smile 10/10 service with a smile. She was friendly and showed us the pool table and she waited on us all night couldn’t recommend enough even at the end of the night she was still smiling 10/10. Would recommend

The staff were excellent. Food order was placed and adjustments to food completed. When server came over two of our party asked for two further requests. When the food arrived it was perfect with all changes made accurately. For an extremely busy night your staff were spot on. A credit to you well done

Pretty nice pub. The food looked ok but I didn't try. The football was on the TV so there was a few boys there in thier kit getting excited.
