Fantastic spot in a lovely part of Scotland. Food was amazing especially locally sourced meats I'm the Scottish Breakfast. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area as well as exploring the local hills

Walked into the warm atmosphere from a cold, wet and windy day. Cappuccinos and eggs Benedict (bacon and the smoked salmon) were really good. Service was fast and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Our favourite cafe/restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Last year we really enjoyed the Christmas Dinner, BUT tonight it was even better. It is so refreshing to have a Christmas meal which is not just churned out. Every course was carefully planned and cooked and the service was friendly and attentive as usual.

Lovely little cafe/bar in Garelochhead. Snacks and fine cakes. Some outside seating but parking spaces very limited. Conveniently placed for rail and bus. Shops nearby and pleasant walks around the Loch.

A wee update. New ownership means.....its open on a Sunday.... now one of its busiest days so call to book a table. Family run and it shows as they truly care. A MUST GO AND EAT PLACE. Previous review .....Lovely little place and very petsonal...wish it was open on a Sunday

Each time I’ve visited The Perch, it’s been an absolute treat - the whole experience is just spot on. A lovely family run business, ensuring care and quality in everything they do from the service, decor and incredible selection of drinks, cakes and meals! I’m still thinking about the Perch Eggs (with smoked salmon) I had a couple weeks ago!

Truly lovely wee spot. Delicious food, friendly staff and guests. Never fails to impress. Says it all that it's not uncommon to see people queuing at the front door at opening time! Hard to beat the quality of the produce and cooking. Beyond that, a variety of cakes on offer also keeps it interesting and well worth returning. The staff are friendly and helpful. Certainly a family feel. The atmosphere is cozy and slightly hipster-ish. All in a fitting and endearing kind of way. All fits together nicely creating a consistent and cohesive experience. Certainly recommend it and while the food and drink are not the cheapest it is certainly worth every penny.

I have had many a lovely breakfast or Lunch at the Perch however tonight I ordered 2 Take away Pizzas and was not disappointed. Easily the best Pizza outside Italy. Quality ingredients ,perfectly cooked.Dont ever leave the area👍

Absolutely loved this place. Warm welcome. Fantastic food, well cooked and beautifully presented. Very fresh and creative. Many gluten free options. Can buy coffee beans used to take away. No wheelchair access.

Really excellent. Sunday around 12:30 it was busy and we had no reservation but they found us a table, thankfully... The eggs with crispy bacon and avocado on toasted sourdough was perfect. Service and atmosphere good. A really excellent spot for brunch.

Lovely place, enjoyed our lunch in here visiting the area. I had their posh hot chocolate and it's the first time ever I've been given homemade, toasted Marshmellows 😍

We were kindly received. The staff was friendly. The prices are good too. Had a delicious cappuccino and coffee. Free water on the table! The food was also really tasty. Very tasty and pure ingredients. Be quick to order dessert, because everyone wants something from the attractive counter. We didn't bring our dog, but they are welcome and we saw treats on the counter!

Completely faultless. Easily one of the best fry-ups I've ever had. The little touches, like a well-seasoned Portobello mushroom, make it obvious that the proprietor is really passionate about serving the highest quality food. The coffee and tea were delicious too, and the service was quick and friendly. I'd make a long detour to come back here again!

Delicious! Breakfast, brunch, lunch and a wee cake are always lovely. Very dog friendly with water available for pups. Indoor and outdoor tables available. Best to book for the weekend as it’s very popular.

Very nice atmosphere. Buf no vegan option for cakes or swert. And only one vegan option on other menus. Quite poor, which is a shame, as quality of everytbingy looks excellent, just no choice if youre vegan!

Visited here on a Sunday morning with the family and had the full Scottish. Maybe on the slightly pricey side compared to other places BUT it is worth the extra. Everything was super fresh, quality and well cooked. Coffee was also great and well made. Cakes were top notch too. A must try if your in the local area and worth travelling for a great breakfast.

Lovely wee cafe we had takeaway coffee and cake and it was outstanding the cake was apple and caramel it was so tasty and moist and the coffee was lovely I wish we had a place like this in dumbarton

Delicious Full Scottish Breakfast

Friendly cozy atmosphere. Sat on the sofas by the woodburner. Enjoyed coffee and generous sized cake portions. Chocolate brownies were melt in the mouth yummy!

Great ploughmans lunch, all round good meal, and lovely coffee.

In a town with little else, this small independent cafe is a perfect breakfast or brunch stop. There must be something wrong with you if you don't enjoy the freshly cooked food here.

We’ve been to a couple of the evening meals at The Perch and oh my… honestly what a hidden gem! The food is epic - best in the area! The atmosphere and staff are amazing too! Dogs also allowed - just wow!

I stopped in here for 'breakfast' on the way home from a few days away. That was my first mistake. It was approx 11.40am I was informed they were just finishing breakfast and changing to lunch. I asked if they were still doing breakfast, I was informed yes but this would be changing in 10 min. I was offered breakfast but didn't like the breakfast menu they had. That was my second mistake. So I chose from the lunch menu. I ordered a toastie, advertised on the menu with salad and chips and, also ordered a latte. My luke warm latte came approx 10 min prior to my toastie. By the time my toastie came my coffee was finished and as someone who enjoys a drink with there meal i then ordered a black coffee to have with my toastie. My toastie came with a handful of rocket salad leaves with a drizzle of dressing accompanied by a handful of crisps. The toastie was the worst I had ever experienced. It was 'well" toasted and heaven knows what they done to the bread as this was smeared/soiled in some sort of grease. Toastie: the actual bread was as thin as the crisps with a taste that I can only say was as oily as an oil slick . Seriously one of the worst toasties ever experienced. On a positive note, the second cup of coffee (I ordered black as I knew at least it would be warm) was good. I went up to pay my bill, I wasn't asked if I enjoyed my food which in this case was a 'good job' as I wouldn't have held back. Would I go there again: No I certainly wouldn't. Was it value for money: No, it certainly was not worth £9.00 odds - not for 2 greasy slices of 'well done' bread, a very small handful of crisps and a small handful of leaves. The black coffee was very nice but if your thinking if ordering a latte I would ensure you ask them fir a "hot" latte. Very disappointing.

Delicious brunch on Sunday with a Full Scottish breakfast and latte. Fortunately we snagged one of the two outside tables, inside was quite packed. Make a pit stop here on your journey to the highlands!

First visit a few weeks ago and thought it was great. Spacious, friendly staff and some good vegan options. Baby friendly too with high chairs, social space and wooden floors. Very relaxed eating, will definitely be back 😊 * I'm just Rambling Scotland *

We were visiting the area and stopped in this lovely cafe for brunch. Good vibes, good coffee,good food and having an espresso martini with your brunch is a good start to the day . Will be visiting again

The best cafe in the area for miles, serving the freshest and most delicious food. Seriously, the Perch is consistently better than any other cafes / restaurants even in Helensburgh. You won’t be disappointed!

Wow, what a wonderful place. Family run, home baking, delicious food, great coffee. We had Sunday brunch here and loved everything. The owners are really friendly and they have created a really nice and welcoming space, it's a really pleasant place to eat and drink in. Can't wait to come back again to try more from the menus!

Charming rustic cafe with amazing food. Every little detail has been thought of. We had vegan avocado toast with roasted tomatoes and a basil oil. Every element tasted fantastic and combined perfectly. We had coffees and teas which were top notch. The Earl Grey tea was delicious so I peeked in the teapot and discovered it was loose leaf. Fantastic! The piece de resistance was the cakes. We had orange and poppy seed loaf and ginger cake with caramelised white chocolate icing, the latter decorated with tiny edible flowers. The cakes were outstanding and when it comes to cakes, I am FUSSY! Service was warm, friendly, speedy and polite. Dog friendly with water and biscuits for puppers. I will definitely be back.

The best cafe on the Rosneath Peninsula. Dog friendly, with plenty of Gluten free / dairy free / vegan options. Their Friday Pizza Nights are a family favourite.

Best breakfast ever big Scottish with toasted buttered sourdough bread 😘😋 pleasant helpful friendly staff makes for an even better visit a bit more expensive but well worth extra we will certainly go back.

What a wonderful mothers day brunch we had . The cafe is a family run business , staff are friendly and engaging .Our family received a warm welcome as did Buddy our dog . The owner has some experience in Makaton sign language an added plus for us as our daughter uses this communication method . The locally sourced food looked and tasted delicious . Presentation was good . Some comments mention the wait for service . We are happy to wait as we view The Perch as a whole experience . We spoke to other customers who are regulars because it’s such a great cafe. Can’t wait to return , maybe after 11 am when we can have a glass of wine with our lunch !

Absolutely loved it. Food was amazing I had the vegetarian breakfast and my husband had the full English and kids had pancakes , all the food tasted delicious. we have been before but not since it was under new management and would definitely be back . Staff very friendly and fast service.

Wowzer - delicious food and fantastic service. They cure their own smoked salmon, which I had in a bagel with a load of pickled veg. The comté and ham toastie was gorgeous too - the crispiest of bread, amazing!

Excellent Cafe both for its ambience and delicious coffee; the pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup were perfect. What was truly impressive was their attention to detail. We had a toddler with us and the warm milk ordered was perfect. The waitress kept an eye on our table to re-top up the free ice-cold water provided. I should also mention that the whole restaurant was spotlessly clean including the lavatory. I particularly liked the open door to the kitchen where you could see the chef busy at work. Always fascinating to see this and of course, reassuring.

I discovered The Perch online when researching for places to eat for my family’s weekend away. The menu looked amazing so it was down as a must visit! Thankfully, on visiting this morning (Sunday) for brunch there was one table left - as we had foolishly not booked ahead. The veggie breakfast, eggs and pancakes were all greatly enjoyed by me, my wife and boys. The veggie breakfast was best I’ve ever enjoyed! Highly recommended - probably best to book ahead!

The staff were friendly and happy to assist. The food you could tell was freshly made and they are happy to cater for your tastes. There's also complimentary water which I found was a great bonus ad you can have a hot drink and the water with your meal. The layout is very cosy too. I found the price of food and drink to be great especially for how much flavour is in it. I look forward to going back.
