The Peppermill in Wiltshire

We had a fabulous meal here tonight. All 3 of us agreed it was the best we’d had in ages. We were sat near the open kitchen and could see the care and attention that went in to all food. Each course looked and tasted fantastic. The serving staff were friendly and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

We went yesterday, and AGAIN consistency at this place is poor. I always order the same meal and every time its different. Sometimes with a garnish, sometimes without. sometimes with a jus, sometimes without. BUT never in my life have I been told after paying that 'your change is 5 pence short because we dont have any, goodbye'. So when I next go, in about a year or two, i'll give them less money, 'because i didn't have the correct amount'. That's how it works right?

Four friends and I went to the Pepper Mill on a wet Monday night and were so glad we did! There was a lovely, warm atmosphere and we had a superb meal. Three had duck, one had a flat iron steak and I had pork tenderloin. We all enjoyed every mouthful. Service was excellent and we will definitely return.

We visited the Peppermill for the first time for an anniversary dinner. We were given great seats next to the window and the interior of the establishment was welcoming, clean and tidy. The staff were excellent throughout and we had no issues with the service we received. The food was fantastic and the lamb dish was very tasty. We will definitely be returning!

Ambience was nice, food was top notch. Service was a little slow as it was a Friday night and being quite popular they were very busy but we were pleased that they could fit us in for dinner at such short notice and we were more than happy to take our time and enjoy the evening out without feeling rushed. It made a nice change to have a longer pause in-between courses whilst enjoying company and the pleasant surroundings. The panzanella burrata starter was one of the best I have eaten and the tenderstem/gochujang fritter for main course was incredible, rich with flavours and very filling. Loved the cocktail bar, really pretty and cosy place to sit and the cocktails were very nice too! If we are in the area again we will most definitely visit again.

Very pleasant restaurant with an interesting menu, but the service was very very slow and the staff seemed very inexperienced. It’s not a cheap restaurant but the service does not match the prices charged. The food was excellent however.
