The Pemberton beefeater in Carmarthenshire

I went to beefeater in Llanelli today for lunch and had 3 course the food was phenomenal came out very hot and all 3 courses were veryyyy tasty the person that cooked our food was aled I would highly recommend U try this place out and it was cheap also and service was bang on aswell

Food was great. Well cooked. Accommodated really well. Food arrived quick. Refills brought to us without asking.

Food today very poor I appreciate its mothers day but I really aren't someone to complain but I had to express my concern to the lovely waitress the food was awful and cold plus the waitresses till point was intermittently faulty and unable to pay the bill all in all very very disappointed unfortunately

Lovely food however the veg was cold on the dinners and there was hairs in our food. All found in different meals. The staff did rectify this and discounted the meals. Our server Cerys was very lovely and polite towards us.

We stopped going there two years ago, and thought we would give it another try, big mistake 3 of us had steak , it was so tough you could hardly get the steak to cut . So now will never visit again

I went for Christmas dinner with friends, which had been booked in advance. Pemberton Beefeater was very busy with every table occupied. We had to wait for a table when we arrived, but that was not an issue. Eventually, a table became free, and we all gathered and sat down. Our starters were served. Naturally, everyone had different starters. I had the prawn cocktail, not too bad, but have had better. Later, I had my main meal, beef, which I could not eat, as it was too bloody. However, the roast potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, and carrots were lovely. I then had the traditional plum pudding and cream. Again, I could not eat this, as it was far too sweet. I was disappointed having paid £63 for a Christmas dinner that should have been edible. I was not the only person who was not happy either. We did leave a tip for the waitresses who worked their socks off and appreciated their service. The food, though, was not.

We popped in for breakfast at 10.10am(it says it serves until 11am and only me and a child) the rudest most abrupt waitress I’ve ever met in my life approached us and gave us a mouthful(Infront of customers) because we hadn’t booked and said we cannot have breakfast because they had stopped serving (all the food was still out) in the beefeater in Pemberton I will be taking this further as there were plenty of seats and we were at the restaurant at 10.10am also one of the customers followed us out to make sure we were ok because the waitress had been so rude! I will never go here again!!

Lovely Christmas Day dinner. Everything worked very smoothly. This was our second Christmas Day dinner in the Beefeater. We will be back again next year hopefully.

Staff very attentive, order arrived fairly quickly. Meal was delicious,hot & presented well. There we many others dining in when we were there, staff worked hard to make sure everyone was happy. Well done to you all. Will come again & would highly recommend . Happy Christmas to all the staff.

Food a bit mediocre, service same.

We stayed at the Premier Inn (7-10 Dec) and had breakfasts and other meals at the Beefeater. All staff were very pleasant helpful and attentive. The food was good, well presented and hot (when necessary!). There was a great selection for breakfasts and it set us up well for the rest of the day. Would definitely visit again if we are in the area. Sharon & Viv

The server was lovely, she was very friendly and attentive, without being intrusive 😊 Standard menu, although the 4 for £10 cocktails looked very tempting 🤷‍♀️🥳

it was 9.30 and staff were gutted we wanted to spend some money. Actually said we were closing early costs its quiet....avoid. Business not wanted.

Very good value, especially when taking the kids along. Staff are always friendly, some times they are very busy and I feel for them, otherwise the service is great. Food is good, and the kids really enjoy the different selections of food and drink. Have been a few times, and will likely go again. Thanks guys.

Food is over priced for poor quality and the quality changes each time we visit. We won't be going back

This is a nice Beefeater restaurant in Pemberton, Llanelli, the staff are welcoming and the service is good. They do ask if you have any allergies. We came here for an evening meal and it wasn't too busy, we order Grilled Salmon dish, Grilled vegetables skewers and half a chicken roast dinner. All very appetising and filling, I recommend this meals as it's one of he best we have had at Beefeater. The other thing I liked was the sofa table cubicles were bigger and had more room, Easily fit a family of 4. If your in Llanelli and want to go to Beefeater, I highly recommend.

We stayed at Premier Inn (Pemberton) just this week (Thursday 2nd Nov) for family funeral in s/wales. We booked ourselves in to "The Pemberton Beefeater" for late dinner on the Thursday evening. We received "5 Star Service" from the dining and bar team, we had fantastic meals and attention from the team. We would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant, for an all-round experience.

Popped in with grandchildren and was very happy with service and price . Meal was 100% . Many thanks 👍🙏

Fab food ,even better service 😊

I ordered the Rib/Chicken combo and, after a lengthy wait, was greeted with a small, cold chicken breast and lukewarm ribs. This was quickly sent back, and I was told I'd have a fresh meal prepared. By the time it arrived, my wife had finished her meal. Surprisingly, the ribs and chips were very, very hot, but the chicken breast was luke warm. My suspicion is that the original meal had been heated up, possibly seeing the inside of a microwave, and a new chicken breast put on the plate - chips are never that hot, even if they'd just come out of the fryer and the two tiny sweetcorn cobs could not be touched. The service from the waitress was good, but the food was sadly lacking in quality and quantity. This will be our one and only visit to this Beefeater

Absolutely amazing food in here, very filling too! Staff are very friendly and funny, really nice group of people. Definitely recommend this place for food even for a laugh! Can’t get over the fact how really amazing their staff are!

Wonderful staff. We went with friends. The restaurant is lovely and clean. You can even watch when the food is being prepaired... We will definately go there again on our next visit to Wales. Very comfortable seating and the staff is so very helpful. I enjoyed it. Thank you.

Met friends for drink before match, busy but bar staff still had time to serve with courtesy and humour.

OMG! What an attitude by the larger "Front of House" lady on Sunday 10th of October 2023. Five of us arrived at 10.10am and asked for a table only to receive a smirk from her as she stated that they were fully booked. We pointed to an empty circular table by the window that would easily accommodate us and another circular table behind her that had cutlery and napkins for 6 set up. Both were apparently booked. (Neither was used during our stay. The laid up one appeared to be blocked off for some reason) We then said we would wait and she begrudgingly said that a couple of the booths might become available in 15 minutes time but that the food stopped at 10.45 despite the website saying breakfast is until 11.00 We elected to wait and looking defeated she walked off but almost immediately a slim, younger lady then asked us if we needed a table, we said yes and she called out to, I believe it was Jess, the woman we had already spoken to at which point we told her we were waiting for a table to become free. Within a few minutes the table the other side of the divide to the greeter's desk became free and the slim, young lady immediately set about clearing it for us and was joined by the earlier woman. We were sat down by 10.20. The hot buffet was being restocked, we chose our food, some had seconds and were were all fed by 10.50. As usual for Beefeater the food, coffees and cold buffet were great. It's a shame that we were greeted by the one person who proves the rule. Needless to say we will not visit this branch again even though we are only a 7 minute walk away.

The Pemberton is seriously understaffed. A layer of grease covers every surface. The steaks were overcooked & tough. I can't recommend this restaurant 😕

Disappointed with the value for money of my meal tonight. Had the salmon with rice for a change. Well cooked and presented but definitely not worth the cost sadly even with the voucher code. First and last time for me to have the salmon, back to gammon and chips next week!

The pub is pleasant enough, but the sticky floors and smelly toilets are pretty bad, needs sorting.

The restaurant is very tired and dowdy. To be fair to the staff they were very pleasant, but the food was of a very poor quality. It was well overpriced. We had gone there because there was an offer of 40% off main meals, but even then we could have done better elsewhere. By the time you added in drinks it was not worth it.

So, turned up today at 10am for all you can eat breakfast, only to be asked. Are you a hotel guest or have you reserved a table? They can't serve us (despite the large number of empty tables) because apparently they have run out of food! Hmm, can't have run out of food if they are serving hotel guests and honouring reservations! Real shame, because we won't be going back again!

Ashleigh and Angharad served us and they were fab. Despite the place being very busy, they were attentive and listened regarding allergies. Highly recommended 😊

Calamari was tasteless and like rubber and the garlic mayo was way way to strong. The remainder of the food was realy nice and me and my wife both enjoyed it. The sirloin steaks were cooked realy well.

Service was good and friendly. Don't recommend the cheesy mushroom starter, for the price there are better starter dishes. Main dishes and deserts were great.

Brilliant service, great food, and excellent staff.

Well we have tried 3 weekends, first time full no space, didnt offer the bar area until we asked. Second week, nope to busy for us to eat in the bar! Next time, thought Ahh will book online. Got there, cash only, no this no that gammon or fish!! What we had was OK, place was half empty but still too few staff. Will think twice before going again.

I love this place, having a dietary problem they look after me well. Went today and they were short staffed, but that did not change a thing. Food was one of the best meals I've had and all the staff were great. If you want pub food and your celiac, please come to this Beefeater, you will not be disappointed.

We enjoy the friendliness and comfort here at The Pemberton. The food is reasonable and nicely served up. Good relaxed atmosphere, our local.

I would like to that Anthony and his amazing team! Due to an error that was not their fault, myself and 22 work colleagues turned up on a Sunday evening for a leaving party but were not booked in. Despite the fact that they were short staffed, they accommodated us and made our night really special! Food was amazing, no one had to wait to be served and we were treated like royalty. Couldn't be more impressed!

Food were great but they forgot something and we had to ask 3 times to finally get it.

We thought we would pop in for lunch, greeted with a smile. Ordering drinks and food was really easy. The staff were polite and very pleasant. The food was excellent, we both enjoyed the mains and the dessert. The price was very good also.

Service was fine but the chicken and ribs were terrible, always have this meal here, but haven't been for a long time, there is no way they are same chicken and ribs they use to sell as these were rubber ribs and very slimy cheap chicken. Not worth the £80 we spent here. The food has gone down hill drastically here.

Food was awful cheap rubber chicken, Frozen fatty ribs, Over cooked popcorn chicken, Corn on cob freezing cold, only decent thing on the plate was the chip definitely won't be returning!

Very slow serving me at the bar. Barman was too busy on his phone. Place seemed very grubby. In need of a good cleaning. Service was not what i was expecting from this chain of restaurants. A lot of single customers just waiting around with cups of coffee. Not many families eating in. Food was undercooked,cold and very tough. (Steak) wont be going back. 2nd time now dissapointed with this place.

The staff went over and beyond this evening when we arrived because a mistake had been made and we had been booked in to the Swansea beefeater. They cleared tables and had us all sat and ready to order in no time the service and the food was excellent thank you Anthony and staff we will call again

we had the 2 for 1 deal I had the chicken melt which was ok ,my girlfriend had the gammon which was inedible!!! chips were cold egg had a bit of shell in it, peas were cold pineapple had an eyelash on it,would not recommend!!!!!!!!

Food was ok but the service is terrible, the staff were chatting at the other end of the restaurant with customers stood at the bar waiting to be served, I had to ask for service to which a vstaff member rudely said to the other “I guess we’ll have to finish this later” after my main I waited 30 minutes then had to go to the bar to ask for my dessert which then took a further 20 minutes, the restaurant was very quiet so there was no need for this poor service.

Called in for a quick drink with my niece and children, lovely welcome, great atmosphere, and good service. We sat outside in the beer garden, and despite being next to a busy road, it was pleasant and relaxing.

Had breakfast on 22-4- 23 I was dissapointed if im honest we waited 45 mins for it to arrive even tho we booked a table !!! Mushrooms weren't cooked properly and tomatoes were burnt !! The young girl who was serving us was rushed of her feet I felt so sorry for her 2 managers 1 lady 1 man just stood there talking while she was running around they could ave helped her cos u could clearly see she was panicking cos of the stress !!! Won't be going there again for food !!! Also I think the staff need to smile more and be more helpful to paying customers

Came here for my granddaughtets 16th birth. Ronan the waiter who served us was very pleasant and really made the evening very special. He is one in a millio.

Me and my partner had a meal here tonight on my partners meal on the menu It says skinny fries but she got sick cut seasoned fries which she doesn’t like and I got the surf and turf watch it was supposed to come with calamari but they didn’t have any. I was fine with that, but they still charge for the full price for the meal when they didn’t have one of the main opponents of the meal plus the service was so slow people who been there for a shorter time than us was getting served before us the waiters walked past us so many times, but just ignored us and we had to wait so long for the bill we almost missed our taxi, probably won’t be returning again

Family visit on special offer day, busy place, informed they were short on staff, but that did not show in the food quality, and the very friendly and helpful front of house staff. Great meal lovely place.

The waiter we had was fantastic, a guy with tattoos and dark hair.. can’t remember his name, he was full of banter and he even got my 75 years of age Grandmother in law cracking up. Nice to have someone not miserable - deffo manager material!! We need more people in the world like this guy 😊

Went here tonight for a meal with my family, All the staff were very friendly and their service was great. The food was lovely. The waiter Rolan was so helpful he just made the night. He made all of us laugh. We didn't expect entertainment but we had it all. Definitely come back 😀 so sorry i spelt his name wrong, he was Ronan and a true star 🌟

Stopped in for a few drinks. Didn't eat here. Will say the bathrooms upstairs are smelly as soon as you open the bottom door to go up to them. Needs attention. The drinks were cold and the service was quite good and friendly.

my gosh, I have been here before and it was lovely. Second time and it was terrible the food presentation was terrible. I had ordered a salad with salmon and everything was just thrown on a plate, mushy sweetcorn, uncut tomatoes, no dressing even offered and the salmon just looked plain. As I arrived we had good service but that didn't last very long, ordered drinks and they gave us the wrong on and when I was complaing about the salad the server had the audacity to walk off and not say anything. Never again will I go here

Food was great but honestly the service our table of 12 received was phenomenal! Rowan did an absolutely amazing job tonight. If you go for food here and are greeted by rowan you're guaranteed a great night. Thanks again for the experience. Build a bear approves 👍

I went here for breakfast for my son in law's birthday,with my daughter,wife and grandchildren,really good environment,very good quality food,the really good feature was that both my granddaughters are for free,excellent value,had a full English,the continental breakfast was in the price,less than twenty pounds for two adults and two children,very good parking and good wheelchair access,all in all excellent waitress service,overall a very good experience,I highly recommend this venue,,ten out of ten

Having never eaten at a beefeater restaurant didn't know what to expect. Iam a very fussy person when it comes to to my food. I've got to give credit. The staff are amazing and patient. The food was cooked to perfection. I didn't have to complain about anything. The wife and children also really enjoyed the food. Nice selection on menu, from starters to desserts, yum yum. Oh hang on I did complain that there was nothing to complain about.😋
