Not sure where to begin, other than being completely shocked. Today, after having a breakfast, I unfortunately overheard a conversation between female manager(?) and a younger female member of staff. It seemed that the manager was publicly berating this poor lass for what I believe, wearing some kind of medical device? The language used by said manager was nothing short of appalling. Unfortunately, by the time I realised I wasn't in a scene from East enders, the berating had moved from ear shot for me to interject on the poor lasses behalf. To the young lass, I hope you are OK. To the manager, learn to have some empathy and understanding before one of your staff pay a visit to a 'No Win. No fee' . . You know where that leads, I'm sure.

Walked into the establishment around 10.35 today the 16th for a light bite / brunch. I have now at 10.47 walked out as the staff totally did not acknowledge me or my intend to order. The gentleman who was working even walked passed me to clean a table. The other member of staff was engrossed with a baby group not even acknowledging customers. One to give a miss

Poor. Don't know if it was just a bad day. But lunch was poor today. Coleslaw tasted of fish. Very bland cheddar. Rotten salad garnish. Perhaps the dullest most uninspiring ploughman's. Expected better.

Everything about our experience here was perfect. Both my friend and I had coffee and ham Cawl. The coal town coffee was excellent and the Cawl delicious. The bread accompanying the cawl tasted freshly baked and the cheese was a really tasty mature cheddar. The ham came in big chunks, the soup itself had a hearty homemade flavour and was probably made with good stock. Service was friendly and staff clearly have a passion for good food. Plenty of space between tables made wheelchair access really easy. I can't remember how much the coffee was but the Cawl was £9.50 and worth every penny. There were good vegetarian and vegan options and I'll be trying those the next time I go there.

I decided to pop in to Y Sied for lunch. Until then I had only ever visited there for coffee and maybe a cake - which are always scrummy. Today I had the gorgeous Bacon Maple pancakes. Just the right size for my lunch.

Excellent freshly prepared meals using good quality ingredients. The best avocado on toast I've had. Smoothies were lovely. A good positive experience with friendly staff.

Prices have risen but food service was very poor served by a small young woman with glasses. Did give feedback but instead of taking on board she answered back. Very bad customer service! I have been to Y Sied (-Welsh pronounced like shed) many times with family or friends having coffee and or cake or breakfast but always to a good standard. Except for today. Which made me reluctant to return as it has been a few months since last going there I took my son for a breakfast ordering two breakfasts and coffee cappuccino and hot choc. Firstly our drinks arrived...in plastic beakers! If like my mum who has visited there were mobility issues how would anyone grip a hot drink? In all my time as a customer I never has any beakers served to me but china cups and mugs and looked around the quiet restaurant a few others had china mugs so I am at a loss to understand. In feedback paying at the till the server was unapologetic and I said my preference was china cups or mugs she answered back,.in future you can say a preference ', in future I will walk next door to Costa! Sausages lovely with breakfast but underdone which I did feedback. Sauce not offered but I requested but had chilli in it but asked for plain ketchup there was none. So I had brown instead. Ideally offer ketchup to customers. In all breakfast was OK but very undercooked and no choice with egg as ironically my poached egg was overcooked. In all an off putting experience when we often enjoy food there but will avoid

Hi, I complained about the awful breakfast I was served here the other week, your reply was “I was smiling while I complained and the plates were completely emtpy” for one why would I complain about spending £12 for an awful plate of food , and two the plate was far from empty it was virtually untouched.I only wish I took a photo of the food for proof. Thanks but will not be calling again.

Good but please update the bathrooms. On a Saturday night out the ladies usually has no toilet paper, stall doors are a bit dodgy, don’t flush properly and the tap is rubbish. Other than that it’s a fine pub

Great day golfing, ordered food which was £21 for a burger, £1.00 for bacon £2.00 for cheese, took 45 minutes to come and was a small portion, had better at a burger van, expected better.

Great little local pub full of characters and fun which many pub chains lack. Still the best pub in the area!!!
