The Peartree Bridge Inn in Milton Keynes

Haven't visited this place for a while but we were not disappointed. Had the carvery which was lovely. I had been surprised to read some of the recent reviews which were quite disparaging about the food but that was not my experience. I wonder how many of the reviews are real visitors. Food tasted great, friendly atmosphere, good value for the price. Give it a try I say. Will definitely go back.

Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. Greeted at the bar by a big smile from a lady called Debbie, took our order very efficiently and continued to serve our drinks whilst chatting with us and making us feel very welcome. We sat at the table and Debbie brought us some food while being busy on the bar ( a girl of many talents) . While asking if everything was okay my son dropped his knife which Debbie insisted on changing. Debbie went above and beyond for our family. Fantastic service and will definitely be back. Lady who eventually served me had the personality of a fish and definitely didn't want to be there. carvery shocking, hard roast potatoes with no colour whatsoever, rest of veg had seen better days, ran out of Yorkshire puddings and gravy!!!! They did get some eventually but all in all a terrible experience and won't be returning.

Went there with my son and grandson and had a carvery lunch. The food was pretty average but not overpriced, about what you would expect from a mid-range restaurant chain. We had a pleasant enough meal but the big downer came ten days later when I received a £100 parking fine notice with the 'kind' offer to reduce the fine to £60 if paid within 14 days. I failed to notice that you could avoid being fined for using the car park if you registered your vehicle number plate at the bar - but nobody in the restaurant tells you that. The money-grabbing company responsible is Euro Car Parks and I have since found out that they have a reputation for ripping off unwary drivers. Why don't the bar staff warn their customers? There are plenty of other pubs, restaurants and inns where you can park for free without fear of being scammed. I won't ever be going to the Peartree Inn again.

Myself, my other half and our two Grandaughters had the carvery dinner and i really have to say that it was Gorgeous and so tasty! We all had the turkey and all that was on offer and topped with that awesome gravy. Oh my gosh i adore their gravy . It was all hot and seasoned just like we would of done it . The puds were yummy with plenty of of sauces and icecream and cream and fruit . Erm yup i think you can safely say we had a gorgeous dinner. We need to say a big thankyou to Jade who looked after us brilliantly Thanks so much Jade . Also thankyou to Renee who sorted drinks and puds out . I found the meal was disgusting, as the roast potatoes were hard not cooked properly, the mash potatoes had black bits is it and tasted watery the cauliflower cheese was bland and the peas were so dry from being under the light for so long. That is why only half of the food was eaten. You go for a nice dinner and you get this type of food.

After reading the reviews we were a bit apprehensive... but was pleasantly surprised. Loads of meat nicely cooked and a good selection of vegetables, plus roasties. I'm not sure if it was that we had the carvery rather than something of the menu? Or that people are expecting Michelin food for £8.99.....🙄

Lukewarm meal, cold plates and very fatty beef. Disappointed as our experience is usually better than it was today. Turkey was not it's usual well cooked self. Floor and carpet dirty. We will probably avoid this restaurant for a while.

I’m a bit late to the party. However I would just like to shed some light onto what really happens and the Peartree bridge. I came in sometime last week and have been in bits. I think I have ptsd. There was poo on the floor in the ladies toilet. Sure it was the staff as the chefs are so minging and dirty. They / them behind the carvery deck did not know how to carve the meat and had to go get someone else ! Sure they just sent the pot washer out and hoped for the best. Will not return. Infact. I was practically chased out the door to leave this review!! So here you go. Wish I number twod on the floor now too. Would have been more pleasant than the food.

Waited an hour for my food “chicken burger” and chips They forgot ! Order came out wrong Then waited another 20 minutes for it to be remade and came out wrong again didn’t offer discount or anything manager not the most pleasant of people either and family food orders wasn’t very appealing and Calvery was ok

Very rude lady at the bar - got my order wrong and then told us “for future reference you can’t sit where you are as it’s due to be cleaned as my cleaner didn’t turn up “ she got my order wrong , no vegan options and I felt disappointed with the whole experience. I was told the beef gravy was vegan as it’s only got beef flavouring in it ! Never go again !

Interesting attitude to customers. Went for buffet breakfast but all the “clean” plates were caked in dry food. I mentioned to the staff member in charge that this was un acceptable and she had a useful suggestion. “If you don’t like it, don’t come back again”. Pretty much says it all about this eatery

Team Christmas lunch Arrived to find the car park required me to check in, but it was free, so I guess it’s ok, just felt like I was imposing on them by wanting to park in their car park. You can order and pay at the table, good in principle, in practice, it was a nightmare having to go through a whole registration process and took longer than going to the bar. Staff were ok, but not exactly welcoming I had the carvery. The veg was actually very good, well cooked, not overdone, decent variety. Roast potatoes were definitely a highlight. The meat was nice, but the server literally shaved the thinnest slices imaginable, so really disappointing. Gravy was ok, but only one near empty pot. It was alright overall, just very meh.

never again will i step foot in this place... first thing you see is miserable employers running around like headless chickens! we had ordered our collection for a sunday roast an hour in advance, only to get there and find that they hadnt even seen our order ticket... so we had to wait a while, then got interigated by the staff asking if we actually paid for it... after showing her proof of order.. i felt so uncomfortable i even offered to show her my bank! so we finally got home to our undercooked meat & £4 each TINIEST COKES IN THE WORLD... the whole thing was a total watse of money such a stressful depressing night my bf couldnt eat it and he eats good

Went with my friend and kids for food and few drinks... Weeks later received letter with parking charges!!! No one even informed me, it was saying in car park that customer don't need to pay anything. Shocking!!! Avoid!!!

Decided to go for linch on Sunday as served a carvery. The beef was reasonably cooked but the vegetables, with exception of the cauliflower, was awful as so over cooked just tasteless. Avoid the crackerling too which was inedible. I would suggest trying another pub if looking for a nice Sunday roast.

We went for breakfast and it was excellent, the food and the staff, especially Ashley and Michael! Definitely will come back.

The oven was broke and nobody told me it was broken so this lead to the fact was no food being served only carvery after I pre booked my table by calling up, and when I went to talk to them and the manager was so rude, she was rolling her eyes at me and tutting the manager was being so unprofessional, like she wasn’t in a working area were she was the manager!! Absolutely appalling service this Sunday. Usually me and my husband come in for a Sunday lunch every other week. This week we decided to bring my grandchildren with us , we had booked a reservation online as we usually do. The waitress had a piece of paper and said our booking was not on there , however she quickly found us a table and apologised. We ordered on the online menu and our drinks were brought to us by again , by a lady called Charlotte. I didn’t catch the first waitress’ name , she was red head , but What great credits to the company! However this is where it goes down hill… another lady walked and walked and walked past our table. Dirty plates left right and centre and she was just watching the world go by !!! I then asked her about our desserts, she said nothing apart from ‘I’ll let them know’. Didn’t even clear our plates. I watched out desserts sat on the side for Atleast 4 minutes while the same lady stood and spoke to the chef. She then brought them over. No spoons nothing. Didn’t even ask who the desserts were for and just dumped them all on the table!!! Absolutely appalling. Hire better staff that can actually do there job especially on busy days like this ! If she had greeted us at the door I would have up and left straight away ! Manager Kate was lovely as per usual !

Fantastic breakfast best in Milton Keynes I believe, Sadly I forgot to enter my car registration into the machine and had a parking ticket of £85 sent to me I called pear tree bridge up and calmly explained my mistake and the amazing manager KAY sorted it all out for me thank you very very much wen I went in to see her I even remembered to sign my car registration into the machine thank you for your help and thank you for that amazing breakfast only £6 nxt to the canal nice big parking spaces perfect cheers

The food was terrible dry and tasteless the only edible part was the Gammon that although was very Salty and flakes but tasted OK the Beef and Turkey had a strange taste the vegetables where dry and tasteless with the exception or the Cauliflower Cheese...

If I could give this place a 0 I would. The food is left out all day, is dry and tasteless, wouldn't feed to my dog. The staff don't even look like they want to be there.
