The Peacehaven in Lewes

Went here today was very busy. Food was ok not over cooked. But the chef 👩‍🍳 a bit tight with handing out the meat 🍖 happy to hand out the Gammon, but tight on the other meats. Weekend prices are a bit steep for what you get but they are never short of customers the ice cream bit cheap and not white some yellow looking and not milky taste.

Eileen was lovely, quick service. We weren’t left with dirty plates for ages like some places. She was lovely and friendly and assisted with a smaller portion for my Grandad. Highly recommend

Good food at very good prices, I had the carvery and it was excellent.

Went and had a breakfast. The food was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly.

Food is nice however the portions of meat given at the carvery has shrunk a lot large carvery now is no bigger than the standard one from 6 month ago. And their deliver portions are even smaller. Dissapointing really as I used to like this place

We had a lovely breakfast good price too.

Wait staff were efficient and friendly, something was missing from what we had ordered but this was remedied quickly, I tried to order on the app but the first thing I tried to order was not on the app but on the instore menu.

It was ok but my cheese burger was very basic It was very quiet inside I'm not sure if there was any music so if it was it was on quietly I would not rush to go back

Really disappointed to be turned away as I’m travelling alone with my dogs. No offer of help given. I feel I should have been offered more help. Disappointing, won’t return 🙄

Friendly service. Ample seating and parking. Lovely pint of Peroni.

We pre- booked a table for 6. 3 adults and 3 children. The table was ready on arrival. The all you can eat breakfast had a good selection of freshly cooked items. It was good value and we will book again.

Good old' carvery. Reasonably priced and decent quality. Roast maybe not amazing but always consistent- we never complained. Kids love their pizzas. Full English is very very good.

Large Carvery could add bit more of meat pieces and 2 sausages. When asked 2 sausages for a large carvery, the staff refused. It was quite disappointing.

Food just warm and no small carveries after 5 o'clock. Service slow.

First time for a Sunday carvery . On entering we got a lovely warm welcome from the lady black hair behind the bar. We asked how it works and she was really helpful. Got our drinks and tickets to give to the chef, the food looked and tasted great. Great choice with a delicious gravy . We both said it was delicious and the service from the young girl on the floor with the black hair was great . She was so lovely. We will definitely be back . Thank you

I love this place because of the food and you can help your self to food and you don’t have to have a full meal you can just eat what you can

The peacehaven carvery’ is a great place for food and drinks It’s well worth a visit, I highly recommend it, the food is amazing and value for your money and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable

We were served by Eileen who I have to say gave excellent customer service. Eileen was constantly aware of her surroundings and noted the queue was getting long at the bar, so she proactively told us to take a seat and she came over, took our food and drinks order whilst we looked at the beautiful sea views. We will 100% go back and hope it’s a day when Eileen is working, 10/10. Thank you for a lovely experience 😊😊

We're a family of swimmers and always looking for good food at good value. Sunday lunch is great, big portions and half the price of other Brighton pubs. Eileen our host can't do enough for you, found us a perfect table after my moaning and she deserves a raise for sure! Get down here next Sunday!

We all went for food as a family, my mum is coeliac and after asking one waitress if there was a gluten free menu and was told no as she walked away, we were then asked but jazz if we were ok and once we told her about mum not being able to eat gluten, she went above and beyond to help, she gave my mum five star treatment!! She got her the iPad which had all ingredients, she arranged gluten free gravy and even gave her a clean serving spoon for the veg so it wasn’t contaminated and also went and found out which desert was gluten free, jazz is an asset to the stonehouse, thank you jazz

Stonehouse has a very nice atmosphere. Lots of choices are available at reasonable prices. Eileen was attentive and lovely.

We was greeted by very nice man called John. He was very patient with us since we didn’t know how it works here with ordering food. He was brilliant. Food was absolutely delicious. We had pizza and small roast. Very friendly place.

We chose an incredibly busy day to visit. But was a hot meal and filled everyone up. As usual I was able to enjoy a meal alongside my family, complete with gluten free gravy.

We went here to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday, there were 17 of us in all, both of his children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The staff were fantastic, the food was excellent.

Easy to book, lovely roast. Turkey was so good. Nice choice of vegetables. Service from Moni was great. Good selection of meals if you don’t want the carvery.

Delicious hot food at a great price, sensible price for a glass of wine too. Being a carvery no real waiting time just queue up and take as much as you like.

A fine dining restaurant this is not. But the food is good, the interior is warm and clean and the staff are welcoming , attentive and friendly. The carvery meat is always fresh, the vegetables are decent quality and the set menu is fantastic value...

Food was ok not very hot and very poor choice for common allergies, price of meals was ok good choice of alcohol free drinks

Carvery meat and vegetables were very good. Drinks were good. Service excellent. We are regular visitors and prefer this one in Peacehaven to the Saltdean restaurant. Food and service is better. We look forward to the next visit.

It's no wonder they want payment before you eat. Went for breakfast at around 10AM. Have been up all night with awful guts, never again. Food was bad quality and not very hot, probably reheated from the day before. Staff miserable and not welcoming. Not worth the money, rather strange how you have to pay extra for mushrooms.

Went for an all you can eat breakfast to catch up with some friends and wasn’t disappointed with the food. Good selection of breakfast food and so reasonably priced (tell me where else would do an all you can eat breakfast for just £5.99?). Staff were friendly and happy to help.

The most common food we tried is carvery. This place is busy most of the times i visit. The staff are very friendly. Even they are so good that i forgot my phone and bag twice but they stored it safely. Thanks for them. I like garlic bread at this place. It’s not the best but good enough for the money we pay. They guide you with the allergens if you have any. Recommend it to be safe.
