Love it here, just a shame vegans are not properly catered for. Breakfast sausages are like soggy mush & veg options are over priced. Please do better for us veg folk 🙏🏻

21.04.2025 Now, after having a lot more meals with family and friends, I would say, it's the most flexible dining option around, time, menu, parking, kids etc. Highly recommend Did takeaway yesterday instead of delivery. First visit. Very impressed. Wide variations in the menu. Excellent freshly prepared food. Friendly and helpful hosts. Ample parking, free to customers. Well stocked carvery reasonably priced. Highly recommended

I can see you have a lot of bad service reviews about one lady I can tell it’s the same one who stopped me wanting to go again, maybe have a word or get rid of her before no one visits she is rude and not good at customer service , also loud very loud

14:30 today stood at the bar waiting, lady was at the end of the bar (feel free to check CCTV) on her mobile phone browsing the internet. Totally ignored. Went to sit down and looking at the menu totally ignored for another 10-15 minutes. Walked out. What a joke of a place.

Average, average, average and average. Pub is ok, food is ok. Staff 🤔. Hygiene🤔.. not good but not bad ,

The best pizza I've ever had in my life and the family agreed. Eileen was great and very friendly which made the experience even better.

Good food at great prices, we went in and had a lovely carvery meal. Don't get fooled by the signs that indicate it's more of a pizza place there's more to it than that. During the week you would be had pushed to get a good quality meal at the prices they offer. There's plenty of parking and it has a lot of tables inside. Service was good and the waitresses were very attentive and happy.

Went for an 'All You Can Eat' breakfast with a friend. Food was better thanI expected bearing in mind it was 'Buffet' style and some of it must have sat around. Would happily visit again.

Had a lovely roast. Service was great and food was amazing. Everyone was polite. And very welcoming. I had the gaming and pork :)

We came to England for a family reunion. While here we came to Stonehouse for dinner. While the food wasn’t brilliant, Eileen was so kind and attentive to our family that we hardly noticed. Thank you Eileen for making our night so special and for being so kind to us all. You are truly a gem in this industry.

A visit on mid morning Monday - we came on foot. Free car parking is available- as long as you register your vehicle on entry ( controlled by ANP cameras on entrance.) The venue is on a lower level from car park steps along with a wheelchair ramp allows entrance through twin double manual doors. If you are eating your place your order at main bar and pay. Vouchers cash and contactless payments accepted. There is a separate pizza/burger server. The main buffet serving breakfast (all you can eat) and carvery is located at the far end, self service. The decor is in need of updating- I was informed this will be happening soon (visit mid March 2025) I was using the Octopus electricity members voucher which caused a problem on payment , it was resolved after staff contacted their IT support. Staff are friendly, efficient and informative. Some been there for 17years - says a lot. The venue is mainly for food but customers that just want a drink are welcome to select from a wide choice of beer/ lagers etc. as well as coffee/tea. Download the Stonehouse restaurant app for some savings. Picnic tables at main entrance (for smokers) along with an enclosed grass area with more comfortable picnic tables - the ones you don’t have to lift your leg over(suits me better) will definitely return for a great value breakfast, gaming machines on site. Takeaways also available. Collect or delivered to your door. Use web site to order Justeats- deliveroo - Uber Eats.

It's a hearty, filling meal that never goes out of style, especially when served with a side of mushy peas or a fresh slice of lemon nice atmosphere

Stonehouse , carvery in Peace Haven is very stingy with the carvery meat portions. I asked if I could have just a little tiny bit more meat as they were not slices only fine shavings of meat. But was ganged up on and they said NO! and embarrassed me.

This restaurant is an amazing place, with polite staff and delicious food. There are very generous portions and quick service. My main course came 2 minutes after my starter!

We, my friends (4) and I come here almost every week.This time, we were celebrating “LIFE’ as I was going into Guys Hospital to remove a cancerous tumour on my lung. Great little place overlooking the ocean - can see it from a few angles :) The food was really good. We had a group of 8, 2 were children. Menu catering for everyone...a good selection. Service was great, friendly accommodating staff.

Used to attend here regularly with family . We visited a few days ago and I was disappointed with the way we were approached on arrival. My mum asked if there was a specific seating arrangement or if we could just pick, the woman replied in a very rude manner ‘well just sit wherever’ rolled her eyes and stormed off. I understand people may have bad days and working in hospitality can be very stressful, but being impolite is not the answer .

I was born in this area and have been coming here periodically from when it opened. Now I visit with my large family and elderly parents as they love the carvery. Have maybe been here 8 plus times in the last 2 years and my parents come here weekly. The service is always good. They seem to have a steady workforce of very reliable, patient, capable and efficient staff waiting on the tables and the clientele demographically would appear to be mostly in the older bracket or family groups. There is plenty of parking with the usual annoying ANPR system. And it is very accessible. Always clean and a very welcoming environment. The one area where it can fall down a bit is the food. Like I said, at least 8 visits and the food (which is the same offering each time) is inconsistent. Usually offering 3 meats and veg and sausages, you queue and can return for more veg. The quality is very inconsistent. On this occasion the mash was like a sauce it was so runny. The cauliflower cheese was hard and not really cheesy, the carrots were hard, and the meat (beef) was fatty and tough. On the previous visit it was all perfect. To the managers I would suggest you sample your carvery periodically for quality control. Won't put me off coming back as my parents love it here.

Boxing day 3 course meal. Starter described as 'King Prawn Cocktail' but in actual fact just prawn cocktail... frozen prawns, defrosted, watery and tasteless had watered down the Marie Rose sauce and it was also tasteless. We left our starters. The carvery was okay and queues were kept to a minimum by staff. Dessert was not very nice... lemon meringue roulade had defrosted and was left so that the cream and lemon curd soaked into the meringue in a congealed lump. I left the dessert.

Went Saturday for lunch. Roast was so dry. Potatoes dry and tasteless. Cauliflower cheese tasted sweet and not cheesy at all. Stuffing was dry and vegetables way overcooked. Looked like hospital food. Won't be going back

Ordered a burger and chips. Simple stuff but the chips were dry to the point that they were barely edible. The burger drowning in a pool of grease - I think about three tablespoons worth. Absolutely god awful

We had a Works meal on Friday to celebrate end of our year. Food fantastic. Service fantastic. Staff kind and friendly Thank you some much to Lisa avery for booking us in and making sure we had a perfect place to sit too x x Top marks Lisa x x

Another enjoyable visit to the Peacehaven. Good food and drinks in comfortable surrondings at very reasonable prices and excellent service from our waitress Eileen.

Monika went above and beyond for my family. We turned up for a party of 8 and had an extra person. She sorted it out no problem. She very friend made us feel welcome. My family from Hampshire absolutely loved their carvery and will come again and surprised to the value of their meal. Well done to the team always so friendly when my partner and I visit.

This is a lovely place, great people great atmosphere and the waiting staff bend over backwards to help you, food reasonable price.

Really good service very attentive. Food was lovely . The only thing i would find fault with is the table next to us one gentleman was vaping at the table. I never complained or spoke to the waitress because we had finished eating but i found it a bit disrespectful of others.

Rude host asked if we had booked we said no then she said she couldn't fit us in and that we had to sit at the bar bit, which was fine but she just walked off and didn't give us menus. A few minutes after us another couple came in who had not booked, she asked if there was only 2 of them and she said she could fit them in the resturant even though there was 2 of us and she didn't even bother to check. Will not come back

Food was nice ,bit busy ,I think they try to fit to many people in, a bit chaotic, you had to keep chasing the staff,the man carving the meat wasn't very happy 😕

The burger special was not great, however, the Sunday roast every day is great value for money and with delicious options. ( no lamb is the only downfall ) the restaurant is warm and Cosy not an upbeat place but an easy roast goes a long way.

Often pop in for an all you can eat breakfast. Selection of items seems to have lessened of late but still has a decent choice. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Don't forget to register your car for parking.

Don't bother ordering online.. portions are smaller then kids meals. Had to drive down to the stonehouse because they wouldn't help.. had a very small potion before and accepted it as a one of, this time I called before placing my order to adress my concern and still got sent out this

I visited here today with my daughter. We both got the traditional carvery £9.40 . I hsd a Cappuccino from the machine and my daughter had a pint of pepsi max. I had roast beef and my daughter had the beef and gammon. It was quite nice, sometimes it's a bit hit and miss. But it was nice today.

Great place for a no nonsense Sunday roast Carvery was well stocked - Roast Pork, Glazed Gamon, Roast Turkey & Beef Loads of veggies & crispy Roast potatoes Staff were friendly & efficient !! It was busy but that's because it's a good carvery and great value for money

Our young granddaughter wanted to go for carvery. Didn't have to wait long. We all had plenty to eat.

Sever was very rude with her words and facial expressions her hair was messy too! Cobwebs everywhere and hair on tables When I told the women at the bar about the servers rudeness she said yes we get complaints about her often she was very rude not just to me but and elderly couple next to me ! Never coming here again!!!!!

Visited here many times over the years. Fish and chips is cooked to order, always hot and not greasy. Carvery veg choice varies slightly each time. Liz and John always attentive and friendly. Tables always clean and well stocked

This is a case of one bad experience outweighing several ok ones. I say ok ones because this is a fairly regularly visited venue for us, and, on the whole it’s a pretty consistent, average meal and environment, you get what you pay for, and it’s not expensive. Unfortunately, on this occasion, the waitress was unable to grip the tray properly and one of the drinks ended up all over me. That, in itself, doesn’t really bother me, as accidents happen. It was the lack of apology, and almost inference of blame that was infuriating. Along with that, we had to wait for food to be replenished on the carvery, being met with comments of ‘this is the last of it’ from a very unhappy looking meat carver. At end of the meal, we were offered my meal for free, so that was a consolation, and we will come back again. So, I would summarise by saying, it’s ok here, for a cheap local, easy meal out.

This is a great spot with ocean views. Our waitress was warm and friendly. The carvery food was OK at best. I tried to strike a conversation with one of the young chefs carving the meats however he did not seem friendly nor interested in what I had to say. If it wasn't for the views this place would be a dive.

A choice of dishes for adults and children with some vegetarian options too. Prices are reasonable and food is too. It was predominantly a carvery with a number of other options but now it does offer a wider selection of other dishes. Most of the time, although it can get busy, it's often possible to just turn up and get a table but best to check during holidays, special occasions and weekends, as well as in the run up to Christmas, when lots of groups have meals there. Visited recently with my daughter and 2 of my great grandchildren. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was ok and children loved getting their own ice cream. There was an offer on kids meals so the price was very reasonable. The veg with the carvery could have been better, not helped by being under lights. I wish they did roast parsnips but not many places do them. My daughter enjoyed a burger and the kids liked their food.

Nice restaurant with good food but I'd like to see more on the menu which was somewhat limited when compared to The Drove near Sainsbury's which has much more varied choice.

Great pub/restaurant. There are typical pub dishes, pizza and burgers. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are marked accordingly. The service is very attentive and friendly. And there is non-alcoholic Guinness 😍

In 2023 I was a regular, the place had a great atmosphere and the food was very good. Sadly this was not the case on my recent visit after bigging up how great the place was we were very disappointed. They used to ask you to wait to be greeted at the entrance but now it says register your car number plate, find a seat and order via the app... Pretty straight forward using the app to order but asking me to add a tip without even talking to our waiting staff is a bit much! Our drinks and carvery tickets came out and from there the evening declined. The carvery had gone from delicious to average since my last visit. Then we waited around 30 minutes for our pudding... Overall if I do return in the future I won't be using the app... I prefer human interaction as it adds to the enjoyment of the evening.

Haven't been there in a while , met some friends for lunch ,very pleasantly surprised about the greatly improved food. But must make a special poiint about the cleanliness of the place ,especially the toilets

This is a spectacular Sunday lunch carvery. The roast is beyond excellent - great meats and I lost track of how many veg were offered. I give five stars to the atmosphere because a couple of hundred people scoffing Sunday lunch speaks for itself.
