Monika was lovely. There was a longer than normal wait for food and she let the kids have some veggies and yorkshires while we waited. She was attentive and polite and very sweet with the kids. Great place for a family dinner

A choice of dishes for adults and children with some vegetarian options too. Prices are reasonable and food is too. It was predominantly a carvery with a number of other options but now it does offer a wider selection of other dishes. Most of the time, although it can get busy, it's often possible to just turn up and get a table but best to check during holidays, special occasions and weekends, as well as in the run up to Christmas, when lots of groups have meals there. Visited recently with my daughter and 2 of my great grandchildren. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was ok and children loved getting their own ice cream. There was an offer on kids meals so the price was very reasonable. The veg with the carvery could have been better, not helped by being under lights. I wish they did roast parsnips but not many places do them. My daughter enjoyed a burger and the kids liked their food.

Nice restaurant with good food but I'd like to see more on the menu which was somewhat limited when compared to The Drove near Sainsbury's which has much more varied choice.

The staff where very welcoming and helpful and as for the food we had a the carvery and omg I loved every bit, roast potatoes super crispy perfect, gammon was perfection honey glaze and the saltyness mouth watering and the beef and turkey spot on I only have one suggestion not a complaint I just like my cheese extra strong in my cauliflower cheese but that's just me,

Great pub/restaurant. There are typical pub dishes, pizza and burgers. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are marked accordingly. The service is very attentive and friendly. And there is non-alcoholic Guinness 😍

In 2023 I was a regular, the place had a great atmosphere and the food was very good. Sadly this was not the case on my recent visit after bigging up how great the place was we were very disappointed. They used to ask you to wait to be greeted at the entrance but now it says register your car number plate, find a seat and order via the app... Pretty straight forward using the app to order but asking me to add a tip without even talking to our waiting staff is a bit much! Our drinks and carvery tickets came out and from there the evening declined. The carvery had gone from delicious to average since my last visit. Then we waited around 30 minutes for our pudding... Overall if I do return in the future I won't be using the app... I prefer human interaction as it adds to the enjoyment of the evening.

Haven't been there in a while , met some friends for lunch ,very pleasantly surprised about the greatly improved food. But must make a special poiint about the cleanliness of the place ,especially the toilets

This is a spectacular Sunday lunch carvery. The roast is beyond excellent - great meats and I lost track of how many veg were offered. I give five stars to the atmosphere because a couple of hundred people scoffing Sunday lunch speaks for itself.

A typical good value Carvery. Ideal if you are hungry and fancy a Carvery.

Very clean, good food, prompt service

Asked for a take away box due to not being able to finish my meal. A lovely lady gave me one but it wasn't big enough. Asked for a second box with another lady. She was so rude. Slammed her phone on the bar and stormed off and then proceeded to slam the take away box on the table and shouted across the room to the team on and around the bar. I spent near £100 and was going to get another drink to sit outside. Me and my family changed our minds and went somewhere else on such a lovely day. Think customer service training might be worth looking into but I don't think I would come back or recommend this place to anyone I know.

I always have a salad ,would have the Carvery, but I like my Roast dinner hot and I only ever seem to get it warm,be great if you had access to a microwave.

Carvery and regular menu, although we had a long wait for the latter orders (which we were warned about). Daily offers make it a cheap place to eat.

Just an honest little place. You get what you're paying for. Grate staff. Loads of free parking. Opens at 9

Come here quite often for either breakfast or just some snacks and a drink. Staff are all bubbly and lovely and the food is incredible. Will continue coming. The only small downside which can’t be helped is during breakfast buffet you find that certain items have run out but no place is perfect 👍

Needs a good update furniture etc

It's usually good. But yesterday was terrible . Had to wait 50 mins for a pizza. The caravy wasn't great potatoes hard . Mushy vegetable Considering you charge double weekends should be better . And cost of 3 water down pepsi nearly £11 wasn't even large

There had run out of Turkey by 6:30 And the desert I wanted and then the icecream mechanic broke down

Was last here the bank holiday weekend at the end of May 2024, always go here for breakfast and sometimes dinner when visiting family in Brighton and can’t fault it. Food is always spot on with lovely well maintained surroundings and all the staff are really helpful and friendly, in particular Lisa, Monique and Kirsty. Have tried the pub in this chain local to us in the midlands and it’s not a patch on the Peacehaven which is a credit to all who work there. Will definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Brighton again.

Eileen served us. Everything was marvelous, super service, fastly prepared pizza only was a bit not fully fried potatoes. Apart from that good atmospheric music.

Carvery is good value for money and tasty. Kids really rate their pizzas. Pudding menu has been revamped over the past few years and has lots of options. Breakfast is good value but a little greasy. Only negative is the refillable hot drinks; the dispenser touches the rim of every cup, which is not very hygienic.

Booked the table online which was easy On arrival was seen to our table Staff very polite and said hello, one staff member Nicki always finds time to speak with my dad who has dementia which is lovely Was able to get our roast straight away no queue like Sundays where you can queue for at least 20 minutes, so we always go on a Saturday now Food was hot and fresh, drinks were on the table on return, staff checked on us throughout the meal can’t ask for more thank you

Went here for a Birthday celebration, went to order our food. Was told after ordering that there would be a 1h+ wait. They brought out one of my party’s dessert before any of us had even received our starters. The Pizza I ordered was not hot anymore as It was on the counter for 10 minutes and overall rather tasteless. The staff were unapologetic and even the Carvery had a 5 minute each time we asked. (it took 20m to even get served a ticket) Overall a not very nice experience and I wouldn’t advise anyone to go here if you’re booking for 5-15 people as they couldn’t be less prepared to help us with our booking.

A really nice place to eat. High quality food at a reasonable price. Food well prepared and presented by helpful and friendly staff. Easy access and plenty room to manoeuvre if you have mobility issues.

We booked a table at 8pm, and were told that there was no carvery left. That was fine, we’d order from the menu. My son asked for sausage and mash from the main menu, to be told he couldn’t have that ‘because it comes off the carvery’ . We ended up all having fish and chips, which was ok, but when we asked for dessert were told the kitchen was closed and we couldn’t have any. This was 8.30. I can honestly say that I have never been told half way through a meal that I could not complete the meal. I’m afraid that I would never recommend this place. I’m amazed they are still in business

Ok roast dinner could have been more meat supplied on my large carvery. Thought it was a little tight myself good choice of veg which you could have as much as you liked. Offered a normal sizes sausage when very small pigs in blanks were in the next dish to them. When asked for a couple of those instead was told they were extra by the chef, but not mentioned at the counter when purchasing my meal 🎟. Overall a pleasant meal so would not dish it (pun intended.)

My self and 3 friends who having been eating at the carvery for many years and found it excellent apart from this evening. We arrived at 7pm and went to get our meal. The food was scattered all over the serving area plus the meat and turkey of which was left was hacked to pieces. The young guy who usually serves us was not there. He keeps the food area tidy and in order. It will not stop us visiting the carvery, but hope it was a one off. We noticed the the usual staff were not there tonight.

Lovely friendly staff and delicious food

I stopped for lunch and was satisfied. It has a large menu with lots of choice. Interestingly, it has special offers on various days of the week. I had lunch on Tuesday, and on Tuesday there is a pizza offer with a 50% discount. Compliments!

Nice little pub. Stopped in to watch the football. Locals seemed friendly enough. Bit of a wait for a beer as the staff were busy doing something else but acknowledged me and apologised for keeping me waiting, so no issues at all.

Despite visiting on a busy bank holiday we were seated quickly and received our drinks shortly after. Considering how busy they were the wait for food was only around half an hour. The service was great (thank you to Eileen) and the food tasted good (clean plates all round). Overall it was good value.

When we arrived at 7pm we were told we can only order carvery as they had too many tickets for other food to be ordered. The restaurant wasn't even very busy. We left and went to the one in Saltdean which was absolutely horrendous. They had hardly any food we could order and we were rushed to order what we could order and eat so quickly so they could close. Absolutely awful restaurants. Food was awful they wanted to bring out all three courses at the same time so they could close the kitchen at 8pm. Will not be returning

Always warmly welcomed, the staff are always friendly and professional. My only small complaint is they are very tight With the amount of chips given with the burger meals

I have tried other carveries in the area but The Peacehaven is by far and away the best.The food is excellent and there is always a great selection of fresh vegetables and lovely crispy roast potatoes to go with freshly carved meat choices. The atmosphere is very pleasant and in no small measure down to the excellent and friendly staff.All of them make me feel valued and welcome and that is why I go back regularly. A little unfair really to pick out any particular staff member as I have found them all great but Liz in particular always has a smile on her face and has great customer service skills.Everyone is warmly welcomed and her attention to detail is spot on.Nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Eileen was lovely, quick service. We weren’t left with dirty plates for ages like some places. She was lovely and friendly and assisted with a smaller portion for my Grandad. Highly recommend

Went here today was very busy. Food was ok not over cooked. But the chef 👩‍🍳 a bit tight with handing out the meat 🍖 happy to hand out the Gammon, but tight on the other meats. Weekend prices are a bit steep for what you get but they are never short of customers the ice cream bit cheap and not white some yellow looking and not milky taste.

Went and had a breakfast. The food was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly.

Food is nice however the portions of meat given at the carvery has shrunk a lot large carvery now is no bigger than the standard one from 6 month ago. And their deliver portions are even smaller. Dissapointing really as I used to like this place

Wait staff were efficient and friendly, something was missing from what we had ordered but this was remedied quickly, I tried to order on the app but the first thing I tried to order was not on the app but on the instore menu.

It was ok but my cheese burger was very basic It was very quiet inside I'm not sure if there was any music so if it was it was on quietly I would not rush to go back

We pre- booked a table for 6. 3 adults and 3 children. The table was ready on arrival. The all you can eat breakfast had a good selection of freshly cooked items. It was good value and we will book again.

Good old' carvery. Reasonably priced and decent quality. Roast maybe not amazing but always consistent- we never complained. Kids love their pizzas. Full English is very very good.

Large Carvery could add bit more of meat pieces and 2 sausages. When asked 2 sausages for a large carvery, the staff refused. It was quite disappointing.

Food just warm and no small carveries after 5 o'clock. Service slow.

First time for a Sunday carvery . On entering we got a lovely warm welcome from the lady black hair behind the bar. We asked how it works and she was really helpful. Got our drinks and tickets to give to the chef, the food looked and tasted great. Great choice with a delicious gravy . We both said it was delicious and the service from the young girl on the floor with the black hair was great . She was so lovely. We will definitely be back . Thank you
