Not good. Really gone down hill. Food quality is cheap but they charge expensive. Cash only. Not much menu choice don’t do chips do salad don’t do much. Everything they do is microwave stuff it’s awful. Charged a lot for crap food and coffee. Never again Said they are now a coffee shop that’s why there isn’t much food choice well to say the core business is now a coffee shop the coffee is awful. Cheap beans. Just not good in any way

So wemt there after trying to find a menu online. Seen several photos customers had previously uploaded less than a year ago mind. These state several breakfast sandwich options, a flew pastures and chips etc. Walked down yesterday and no chips whatsoever. No egg for breakfast sandwiches and the icing in the eipnoff terribly awful choice excuse of a "menu" they asked for £4 JUST FOR BACON ON PLAIN WHITE CHEAP BREAD! £4!!! AVOID PEPPLE. Rubbish place, even worse options and terribly for kids or a vegetarian. Walk the couple mins to Martins bakers. What kind of cafe doesn't serve basics. They jandt sold out wither they never sell it. It's a joke and a rip off over priced waste of time.

Three of us went for a long walk down Rochdale Canal with our dog, Charlie, and called in here for some lunch. Lovely decor, friendly staff & the cheese & onion pie was lip-smacking tasty! Hubby had the corned beef hash & loved it. Great location & quiet just inside the park gates, plenty of parking spaces. We will definitely be back another time!

Visited today for my lunch, only have 40 mins as working from home. Ordered chicken curry rice and chips. First taste and thought curry was nice, second fork deeper and cold in the middle. I complained and they took it away, back a minute later after i guess was a quick blast in the microwave, unfortunately still not right, and reheating in microwave would probably impare quality of rice, asked for my money back, very dissapointed i sometimes order currys from takeaways who deliver from up to 3 miles away and fiod piping hot, this cafe could not deliver me a hot meal from 5 yards away?

This isn't a reflection on the food or service, but the amount of rubbish that is left around the park & i would say, that a lot of it comes from the cafe. Ok so it's the people who use the cafe facilities, but i walk around the park early in the mornings & especially on a Monday morning, it is worse than ever, take away trays, paper coffee cups, chrisp bags & so on,i see one fella, who has started to go out of his way & pick up litter, because he is also sick of the state the park is left in after a weekend. MAYBE THE CAFE OWNER & MAYBE SOME OF THEIR STAFF SHOULD GO LITTER PICKING ON A DAILY BASIS,AS YOU HAVE BENEFITED FROM REMAINING OPEN DURING LOCKDOWN..OR MAYBE TRY & EDUCATE YOUR CUSTOMERS?.. I HOPE YOU TREAT THE PARK STAFF TO FREE LUNCHES,FOR CLEARING UP. I YOUR A CUSTOMER WHO ATTENDS THE PAVILION CAFE,PLEASE REMEMBER TO PLACE YOUR RUBBISH IN THE BIN,OR TAKE IT HOME,THIS PARK IS FOR ALL,NOT JUST YOU...

What a great find! I'd been to the Morning Star many years ago, and all I can remember is that it can't have been that good, as we never returned. However, this is now certainly a place we'll be back to. On arrival, we were impressed at the decor of the pub - it's been done up at some point to a high standard and feels like a place you'd be happy to spend time (and money!) Having said that, I was a little disappointed at first, as we were handed a 'Sunday menu' which was very much a significantly cut down version of their regular menu. Much of what I'd planned I was going to have beforehand was now no longer an option. I would certainly suggest that this is made clear on the website, as this is not stated anywhere that I can find. I've included a photo of the abridged menu for others considering a Sunday visit. Our minds now focussed by the narrower band of options, we were still each able to find something we'd like. Between the four of us, we had the 8oz rump steak, cheese and onion pie, and the salt and pepper chicken burger. It was, to a plate, magnificent. My son declared it the "best steak he'd ever had" and that he was pleased that we now didn't have to travel to Manchester for a decent steak. That might be the overenthusiam of a 10 year old, but the food was nonetheless very, very good! Every element of the meal was cooked perfectly, the portions were ample, and the prices more than reasonable. I did have a pang of buyers remorse, however, as I saw the superbly presented Sunday dinners (Yorkshire pudding sat proudly atop a pile of piping hot meat and veg) being brought out to other tables. This passed momentarily as I tucked into my (also impressive) salt and pepper chicken burger, but it was a regret that returned and shall spur me on to come back and give that a try too. But not before I've been able to come back and give the rest of their full menu a go! 5*

Very good food with nice service. We were looking for something to eat after 9pm in Oldham and they were kind enough to facilitate us. If you're thinking about it, give it a try.

Our Great Local Pub. Food always excellent and I'm guilty of not posting enough reviews! Excellent service, fabulous staff. Mark and Daniel are doing an amazing job. Just had Chilli Prawns with egg fried rice, wow. The Salt and Pepper Calamari is the best I've ever tasted. Great menu.
