We came here after visiting the Royal Observatory as we wanted somewhere near to eat. This is the place we found. Visual looks lovely and inside. Lack of choice of food which was disappointing. Best to go somewhere else if you want choice.

Man on till didn’t understand my order. I asked 3 times for a green tea. I spoke slowly and clearly It wasn’t busy . I then returned and asked for the WiFi password and he gave me an incorrect password. Thankfully the lady at the ice cream counter knew the password so I was able to access the WiFi. Green tea was tasty 😀

Went on a Sunday and sat outside for a Family Birthday party and was presently surprised with the quality of the food ( pizzas and chips were delicious) and the service was excellent! They also had an outdoor BBQ area which looked cool and the hotdogs were brill! It is a fantastic location and I recommend to anyone in the Greenwich/Blackheath area

Spent a leisurely Sunday afternoon in the café garden for my son's 5th birthday with around 40 family and school friends. What could have been a bit chaotic was anything but. Food was all served together at the right temperature which was my concern with such a large booking and the service was great. Bigs thanks to Micaela for helping with the planning and special thanks to Giulia, Diego, Tyler and their team for delivering a special memory for my son and his friends on the day.

Lovely place to visit for lunch when you are doing a tour of Greenwich, it’s more of a quiet part of Greenwich as most people stop at the Observatory but it still gets busy at lunch.

It’s a year since my last review, and the outside tables have still not been sanded and varnished and are not routinely washed each day. You sit among bird droppings! The area outside the main entrance is never swept and cleaned. I visit every day during my walk and have decided to buy a takeaway drink and find a bench in the park. Cakes are good but expensive at £4.95 a piece. Some of the staff are really nice, but service can be very slow.

Both had burger & chips. Don’t think the oil had been changed for yonks. Horrible after taste, and not pleasant. Table was dirty, took a while to get it cleaned. On a plus, friendly staff - but why do we have a substandard eatery in such a beautiful place? Next time I think I will bring my own 👎

Have only given one star rating because I can’t give a zero and I feel the need to tell others to AVOID this place. Optimum location but cleanliness, service and refreshments were embarrassingly sub standard. No need for bad, undrinkable coffee nowadays, even a blueberry muffin was chilled with ‘no way of warming it up’. Expensive too, over £14 for two coffees and two muffins. Only reason I stayed is that I had walked with my 87 yo father and we needed a break. Should have read other reviews! Don’t be fooled by The Pavilion being an interesting building in a Royal Park. Nothing royal about this place.

Bought an overpriced wrap and 2 teas, it was put in a takeaway cup with the teabag still in. After 20 mins the tea had so much milk it was so weak it was undrinkable . Went back in and asked for 2 more teabags to strengthen the tea and was told I would have to pay for 2 more teas. The girl then asked if I realised you have to leave the teabag in to brew. I assured her I do know how to make tea and she eventually made 2 fresh cups and rudely dumped them on the counter and walked off without saying anything. Avoid this place if you like decent service and snacks!!!!

We came here on a bank holiday lunchtime so the place was understandably busy. The inside of the café is light and airy whilst the outside tables are well positioned and not crammed in. Being within the beautiful Greenwich Park is a top selling point and overall the café's presentation is simple but welcoming. So far so good. The menu is basic (burgers, pizzas, sandwiches etc) but there's nothing wrong with that and after a climb up the hill, to where this eatery lives, it nice to be faced with a few crowd pleasers that (surely) will keep everyone happy. Prices are pretty fair for a touristy location such as this and paying £10-12 for a pizza is standard in London so no quibbles there. Our problems arose when we waited over 30 minutes for three meals to arrive. When queried the staff seemed unperturbed and insisted it was, "almost ready"... Another 10 minutes later, two of the meals arrived and we assumed the third would follow shortly... it did not. At this point we gave up and asked for a refund on the missing meal. This was dealt with by a surly manager who dealt with the request with an admirable minimum of fuss but unfortunately with an equal lack of grace or apology. The food that had arrived was perfectly pleasant and, as already stated, reasonably priced for what and where it was. I would go again as perhaps this can be put down to just a blip (although the other diners I saw also asking on their food's whereabouts suggests otherwise) on a very busy lunchtime.

It’s two years since my last review. The outside tables still need sanding and varnishing and daily cleaning. You have to sit and eat among bird droppings - some of which have been there for weeks. They have at last provided glass covers to protect cakes on display from contamination. A previous manager had argued with me that they aren’t required. Service is still very slow. Staff are young and inexperienced and pleasant enough, though a more positive attitude would help. Prices (especially for cakes) are very high.

All adverts say lunch menu served till 4pm however arrived just after 3pm to hear that kitchen actually closes at 3pm. No apologies or explanation or signage to explain, so we were left with 4 disappointed adults and hungry baby who reluctantly had a drink and bag or crisps as we could at least enjoy the warm shelter from the cold outdoors. The only hot drink we ordered was coffee, but also had no milk despite requesting it. A member of the party had flown all the way from Ireland to visit the park with us so was especially disappointed with the cafe. When we queried the early kitchen closure, a female member of staff (who we assumed to be a manager or leader of the cafe) could offer no explanation as to why their is a lack of information on the kitchen times; no apology, no understanding just a very nonchalant response. Whilst I appreciate this may be outside of the team's control, the lack of 'hospitality', poor communication and non-existent customer service is terrible considering the extortionate prices this cafe charges.

Amazing that this place is just 16 places off being the worst cafe in London. An amazing feat. Anyway, despite the prime location in a beautiful park, the cafe is just badly run. Some staff clearly hate working there. The upstairs looks great but i cant remember when it was last open. Cream tea for 5 quid is a bargain, but ordered to be told theres no cream or butter, at 11am on a tuesday. Take the sign down then. Hardly any inside seating, and usually a couple of juggernaut prams blocking too. Expect a long wait and a lukewarm drink, and a lukewarm welcome too. Sad as this place should be as amazing as its location.

Tried to buy a takeaway coffee. Cafe was entirely empty but staff refused to allow me to walk in and order a takeaway drink as I had my small dog on lead with me. I explained that I was alone and uncomfortable leaving her outside as dog theft is rife in this area at present and they insisted she was to stay outside. This conversation (whilst the dog was inside!) took longer than buying the coffee would have. I understand there’s a general rule about dogs inside but the staff were rude and very unaccommodating in the circumstances. On previous visits the dog has been allowed inside whilst other customers were present so I have no idea why the staff today felt the need to be so rude to me.
