Four of us ate here last night and I have to say having read some reviews about service, I was a little nervous. Still, my fears were needless as the service was excellent in every aspect. I started with the cod cheeks and to be honest, found them a little tough, Not the melt in the mouth that they should be. The homemade tartare saved the day however. The chicken Caesar was the best I’ve ever had, without doubt. Succulent, moist chicken with a perfectly put together salad, with plenty of the essential ingredient, anchovies. The raspberry white chocolate for dessert, which we shared, was also delicious. The first time we’ve had an evening meal here and it certainly won’t be the last. Top marks all round.

Booked our first visit here for my daughter’s birthday. Booked online very handy, put in a request to decorate table. Reservation was for 75 minutes and table is held for 20 minutes. We were slightly late but no issues on arrival. Waitresses very polite and took us to our table. Decorated with a birthday banner and a badge for my daughter. Ordered a mocha, hot chocolate, pancake stash and steak and eggs. Oh my goodness, my daughter’s pancakes were amazing and my steak and eggs …. Oh my goodness, I think it was my best ever breakfast! Mouthwatering, didn’t want it to end. Compliments were passed on to the chef. Service was prompt despite it being very busy indeed. There was a continuous stream of people coming and going. Settled the bill at the till, the girl knew exactly which table we were and again was very pleasant. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Visited with family, the service was shambolic, it appeared that no one was in charge and the staff didn’t know what they were doing. In fact the waiting staff looked totally stressed out. People who had been sat next to me waiting for coffee got up and left after they had waited over half an hour for their order. I won’t be going back.

It’s a shame because the food is always great but the revive really lets the experience down… this is my second visit to the Brigg Pantry.. first time it was quiet but still slow service, this time it was busy and fully booked, so I expected a bit of wait… but not at the door… I had a table booked but was ignored by 4 staff as I waited to be seated and had to go introduce myself after at least 3 or 4 minutes (not long but poor customer experience). We ended up with a table upstairs which isn’t anywhere near as nice as the main bistro… no atmosphere and dull decor, I would recommend ensuring you ask for a downstairs table when booking. We did wait quite a while to have our order taken and then a while for food, but were chatting so not the end of the world. It’s pretty pricey, but tasty, but for a premium price I expect a premium service… a smile wouldn’t go amiss either from the waiting staff.

My friend booked and was so upset that our light lunch a week last Monday turned out to be so disappointing. We chose to have 2 of small plates (to share) plus chips. The Korean Chicken was delicious but the steak was cold, chewy and inedible - we did tell the waitress and she could see from the plate that we had eaten just one piece each (and promptly spat it out). She did apologise and said she would tell the chef but at a cost of £10.50 for that awful small plate of gristly steak we both said we will not be going back here! Such a shame as we often meet for lunch.

Went for Mother’s Day after hearing so much about it, however big disappointment , we waited 40 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink, the food was so slow we decided not to have a desert as couldn’t wait another 40 minutes in between courses, the prawn cocktail sauce was very strong and the salad tasted of cabbage, the main meal was just OK but not wasn’t very hot. The children’s menu was very very limited, my granddaughter had Yorkshire pudding to start but was covered in onion gravy which she found to strong in flavor, again she didn’t get a desert as we couldn’t wait 40 minutes for it, to be honest I found it unbelievable. As it was a very limited set menu (adults & Children) so why did it take so long to serve it? Such a disappointment wouldn’t go again. We also got charged for 3 courses when we only had 2 so had to go back to get refund of £20

Finally got around to booking the pantry. we arrived & seating quickly with a busy restaurant too. The table was spacious which you don’t always get anymore. Polite and friendly waitress took our order and within 20-25 minutes our food arrived, well done kitchen team, you delivered the most delicious flavours on a plate. We did not have room for cake but we did ask to take some cakes home for later 😍. Great value & service. Once again thank you to the kitchen team.

Delicious breakfast at The Pantry. I had the Sweetcorn and Feta Fritters, they were amazing. As a vegetarian, it was great to see such creative dishes, that are certainly far above the very average offerings I’m used to. The staff were really friendly too and service was efficient. We enjoyed it so much that we booked in for breakfast the next day too.

Great bistro style brunch/lunch. Love the cappuccino. Food excellent. Kedgeree was great as was my wife’s brunch brioche breakfast bun. Best ambience in Brigg. Prices are fair but the most expensive in Brigg.

We found the Pantry by chance and we are very glad we did. Never been to Brig before but someone had told us to give the town a visit if we were going to the garden centre nearby. We spent some time wandering the shops before looking for somewhere to eat. We were heading over the bridge when we saw The Pantry and liked the look of the outside. We were shown to a table upstairs by Anya. The upstairs, whilst not decorated with the same flair as the downstairs, offered more light and lovely views o f the river so we were very pleased. Anya turned out to be the perfect waitress. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She made recommendations, offered alternatives when needed and served with a smile and a cheery manner. Anya is a credit to herself and the business. The food was lovely, interesting and very tasty, will definitely return.

Came for brunch. Lovely space with a great menu. Serving team are polite and attentive. We had a slight mixup with one order (it happens) but they sorted it out SO quickly and even bundled us up some cakes to say sorry. Adults enjoyed the 'different from the ordinary' brunch items (sweet potato waffles with hot smoked salmon were incredible, as was the pork belly Benedict) and the kids' offering was great too. We'll be back.

I'd been keen to visit The Pantry at Misterton so when they opened in Brigg I was very happy. Spending the day with visiting relatives we thought it was the perfect excuse to try a spot of brunch. I knew from reading reviews it could get busy so we did book in advance and although it was never full whilst we were there (Monday AM) I think it's definitely worth booking to avoid disappointment. 2 of the party went for the Pantry Full English, 1 had steak & eggs and the other opted for the creamy wild mushrooms on toast. Unfortunately there must have been a misunderstanding as when the food was brought to the table the mushrooms on toast came as the mushrooms with waffles, but this was corrected fairly quickly. Apart from that the food was very nice, although the eggs (both fried and poached) would have been better with runnier yolks. I'm definitely keen to return and try the other options on the menu.

Met my friend here for brunch on a busy Saturday morning. Pleased I had booked as lots of people came in wanting a table but they were full. I had the best pork belly benedict I have ever tasted, everything on the plate was delicious and fresh, shout out to the chef for the poached eggs, simply perfection. The place itself is clean and set out lovely, the staff are so friendly, the young man that works there, I didn't get his name but he is an asset to the business, friendly, funny and knowledgeable. My only critique and it is no reflection on the food or staff is that I was cold, my table was quite near the door, as people kept coming in and out asking for tables they loitered keeping the door open until someone attended to them, made me extremely cold. I will definitely be back, don't understand the negative reviews, my experience was simply lovely and I would recommend it to anyone.

We ate here this evening and were not disappointed. From the moment we walked through the door our whole experience was lovely. The staff were courteous and helpful, and we didn't have to wait long to be served. Their timing was just right. The food was fantastic, we are mainly vegetarian and had the small plates, the choice was varied and exciting. Every plate was delicious, and good sized portions. I can't really choose a favourite but the parchment wrapped feta was up there! We will definitely return....Brunch next time! I had read a bad review, but I really don't recognise The Pantry from that review. Its rather mean spirited to tell friends not to come, so I shall tell all my friends how wonderful this place is, and what an asset it is to Brigg!

My wife and I have enjoyed The Pantry at Misterton on a number of occasions, so we thought we would try the venue in Brigg which is much closer to where we live. We called in for brunch around 11am this morning, we were sat reading the menu in an almost empty restaurant, yet 15 minutes later we were still sat there and hadn't even been asked what we would like to drink. At this point we got up and left, my wife who seldom gets angry, stopped to have a word with the 3 waitresses who had turned their backs to us. They really weren't bothered at all, we will not be returning and will be passing the above comments to family and friends and around our village.
