The Oyster Club in Birmingham

Rude! Can’t be bothered. No wonder they are empty. Arrived 20 minutes before closing. The staff and boss clearly shown decided he fancied a private drink and close early.

Really very nice food The first restaurant I have had in this country which deserved to be Michelin guided. If they are not getting a star, the reason must not be from the food. I will suggest they should get improvement on other aspects like the environment, cleanliness and service.

Went here at the start of July, the gentlemen at Front of house was very friendly, kind and informative. We've never done any kind of fine dining before but the staff never made us feel out of place, they gave us excellent recommendations for both the food and wine, especially with me never having eaten oysters before. The food was absolutely outstanding, my partner had the steak and to date believes it's the best he's ever had. I had dressed oysters as well as a seafood platter, I was silly enough to get a side of potatoes as well, I was absolutely stuffed by the end. The staff are lovely, the chefs are incredible, rhe restaurant is stunning and the food is unbelievable. If you're going out to Birmingham for a cheap night out, this isn't for you. People leaving negative reviews should've checked the menus first. I think the prices for what you get are incredibly reasonable and I can't believe it's not Michelin starred. Thank you for an incredible night and for making it so special for my partner and I. Can't wait to visit again on Saturday! I've been mithering to come back since we left!

Absolutely loved everything I ordered particularly the dessert which is probably in the top 3 of best desserts I've had! The lobster was well seasoned and cooked the starter was amazing too! I want to go back soon !

Excellent service by competent and friendly staff. Great dishes, we went for the fish / seafood plates, they were all super fresh (these oysters!) and very well prepared. Highly recommended.

Had x6 cooked and x6 raw oysters for starters, hot platter for 2 with lobster for2, lemon and thyme cake for dessert. The guy that served us was good , made personal recommendations and chatted naturally. Platter was 1/2 lobster each, big prawns, langoustine , mussels, cockles, scallops and samphire - tasted great, could have been arranged on the plate better. Suggestion for improvement would be to do something about the fishy hands after eating , no extra napkins , are finger bowls out now , elbowed my way thru doors to toilet to wash them - when dessert brought no napkin replaced. The bar area is above the restaurant and there were 3 guys that liked the sound of their own voices , quite loud and swearing. The table next to us had younger people , so inappropriate. Hope you find this a rounded review, we had a good night , the food was good , couple of tweaks and a word with rumbustious customer would be perfect.

We were greated smartly and warmly welcomed, well looked after throughout the meal. The menu was nicely ranged. The wine lovely.

The fried oysters were delicious however I have had scollops before and paid for a selection but £13.00 per one was a bit over priced and we felt rushed to have our evening meal, it was an experience and have been to lots of exclusive restaurants and personal service was exceptional and have decided wouldn’t go again

Outstanding restaurant chris the manger was very welcoming and made sure we were all happy with are food. the service was exceptional and the food was excellent the Oyster are so fresh highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal at Oyster club for my husbands birthday. There were five of us. We had great service from Chris. Nothing was to much trouble. Great food great service. Look forward to going again soon.

Absolutely hidden gem ….. Food is superb

I was asked by a waitress how I found my food. My response was simple ... Underwhelming, because I didn't want to swear. For a somewhat boujee restaurant, I expected SO much more than what was on offer. Given the hype, I expected something to write home, or at least a good Google review about. I was wrong. Even more disappointing, it was my good friends birthday and it didn't feel like a special occasion and we had to suffer the uppity service of this place to boot. Firstly, on entrance the lack of warm and welcoming greeting was shocking. The host half heartedly directed us to where the party were waiting and returned to whatever she was doing on her phone. Despite there being a cloakroom, nobody was offered for their coats to be taken. Drinks were ordered and I was quite taken back by the attitude of the waiter when asked about items on the drinks menu. I was made to feel as though questions shouldn't be asked. I ordered what I thought would be a pint of beer, given the price. Nope, £6.00 for HALF A PINT of what wasn't even craft beer. I was mortified when I had a look at the menu. It was limited and basic, at best. Again, given the hype of this place I had high expectations to discover something different on the menu.and to have a culinary experience to remember. The prices are ridiculous, given the meagre portion sizes. I've seen bigger kids meals, I kid you not. I ended up ordering beer battered fish and chips. I mean... The menu was that uninspiring, I didn't want anything else and I felt that may be the biggest thing on the menu. Again, judging by what others in the party ordered, I wasn't wrong. A colleague ordered the cod loin - at £30, the portion size is an absolute crime against humanity. The circular piece of cod looked even smaller on the large plate it was served on. To add insult to injury, you have to order additional sides to accompany it. Ludicrous! The fish was, by far, the blandest beer battered fish I have ever had the displeasure of eating. It was evidently seasoned with hopes and dreams... Almost thought I had COVID for a moment because not one of my taste buds were activated. To make it worse... SEVEN chips accompanied the fish. I wanted to flip a table by this point to be honest. The food service was atrocious. How is it possible to bring out mains, but not the sides at the same time? Reckless business practice IMO. If more passion was placed into creating taste sensations and a memorable dining experience... paying £100 for two meals, with no starter and 2 HALF pints of beer wouldn't have been so painful. I've not been this disappointed in a restaurant for a long time. The restaurant being pretty empty on Saturday evening screamed volumes. This isn't an experience , it's extortion. I do not recommend.

Lovely large mussels in a beautiful sauce

We had a wonderful time there. The food and service was1010 . We will definitely return as soon as we can. It's not what we would usually spend it was a gift from our children. We are so glad they chose the Oyster Club.

Food was average. Mostly too slated. Doesn't justify the price in my opinion. Atmosphere is great. Toilets are sparkling clean.

Cooked oysters to die for, ditto the bread, the cod and the fish pie were wonderful... lovely attentive staff, too... but then... the fish pie had left my companion so full that dessert had to be declined, just a cup of tea, please. "Do you have anything small and sweet that I could have with the tea?". Nope. I'd have paid a disproportionate amount for a tiny square of chocolate or similar confection to accompany the tea having had my dessert intention thwarted, but the meal ended with ordinary tea served all on its own. . So nearly excellent, but just not quite.

As a big lover of seafood i was yet again impressed with the food at the oyster club, good selection of oysters and a variety of dishes. Food was incredible if you like seafood this is the spot.

Much more than a seafood restaurant. My favourite Sunday roast with a generous serving of beef fillet cooked as ordered lovely crunchy veg and roasts with a side of cauliflower cheese cooked to perfection. Great service lovely staff

Bila sam u posjeti sinu koji studira u Birminghamu. Zadnji dan mog posjeta bio je na sam Uskrs. Željela sam da zajedno ručamo u nekom posebnom restoranu i odluka je pala na The Oyster Club. Već na samom ulazu u restoran lijepo smo primljeni. Imali smo lijep stol gdje smo mogli vidjeti kuhinju. Hrana je ukusna. Okusi su sljubljeni. Sve je bilo savršeno od predjela, glavnog jela i deserta. Uživali smo u okusima. Bili smo lijepo uslužni. Želja mi je sve ponovit kad dođem slijedeći put.

I was visiting my son who is studying in Birmingham. The last day of my visit was on Easter itself. I wanted to have lunch together at a special restaurant and decided on The Oyster Club. Already at the entrance to the restaurant, we were warmly received. We had a nice table where we could see the kitchen. The food is delicious. The flavors are combined. Everything was perfect from starters, main course and dessert. We enjoyed the flavors. We were well served. My desire is all over again when I come next time.

Food was good, but service not the best. We didn’t feel that they were happy to see us, they didn’t smile at us, and the waiter’s face was sad. Also waiter didn’t know the difference between three types of caviar, which is very strange. It was my birthday and I left note during booking so I was expecting to see «happy birthday inscription on the plate», but nothing happened. Would I recommend this place to anyone? I am not sure.

Well what can I say other than what has already been said about our experience, disappointing food and service, really guys you should hang your heads in shame and our waiter, not sure if he thought he was justified in his responses albeit I personally found his response to a couple of questions simply rude… well I said a bit more than I intended. On a positive note, enjoyed the oysters 😉

Bit of a disappointing experience given how the restaurant is marketed. Food was very pricey - wouldn't be so much of an issue if it was really appetising and/or a great experience overall, but the serving sizes were small and not that tasty. Despite not being that busy at 6pm on a Saturday, service was slow and no action was taken or even recognition of our disappointment when several of our party gave negative feedback (I would have thought that this would have been jumped upon by the staff given that the venue is supposed to be top tier). I don't think I'd want to go back any time soon unfortunately.

My partner and I along with a group of friends chose to dine here for my partner’s Birthday celebrations. None of us had dined here before but expected high standards from how the restaurant is sold / advertised. Once we were shown to our table, drink orders were taken and provided. I asked for ice for my drink which I never got. We ordered our food and The Cod Loin which two of our friends ordered arrived and for £28.00 a dish they should have been provided with a magnifying glass to see it as it was no bigger in diameter than a £5 coin. They also had to wait until all other dishes were served before they received their vegetables which resulted in lukewarm cod. Not great. A few of us ordered the battered haddock & chips and not two dishes looked the same as the fish were all different sizes. I was however pleased to have 9 chips on my plate but others only had 5. I noted that a female member of staff walked around with her hands in her pockets. How professional is that??? Customer service is paramount and if you are looking for repeat business or customer referrals you have to stand out from the crowd. Unfortunately this restaurant falls well short of this. Sorry but MacDonalds here we come, value for money.

Food excellent, resturant nice, given a different wine without asking if it was ok first, drinks order wrong, being told we would be having sharer platters when individual platters were ordered which we refused just to get odd looks from the kitchen staff in return. Waiting staff pretty miserable and had to get our own coats. Real shame, just a little more attention and this would have been a 5 star as food was excellent. If there's a discretionary service charge fine but don't expect to get it unless service at at a satisfactory level. Level of service so much different to that experienced at Adams.

Food is disappointing, can’t even do fish and chips. fine service.

Went to Adams a couple of years ago and really loved it, so naturally wanted to check out his Bistro when an opportunity arose. And it didn't disappoint. Oysters were really nicely dressed and presented. The sourdough bread and butter was perfect. The halibut of course stole the show, it was an exquisite plate of food, the carrots and mash were so perfectly seasoned as well. The Lower restaurant gives you the chance to peer into the kitchen and I could see lots of other plates of food that all looked equally as impressive. The service was on the whole good , perhaps needs a bit of tweaking here and there and I actually received feedback from the Restaurant Manager that they would continue to train newer members about some of the finer details but by no means did it detract from an evening and I wouldn't hesitate to return to try one of those amazing looking seafood platters in the future!

My wife and I love dining at the oyster club and we had the perfect opportunity to return as my cousin was visiting from Australia who loves sea food. We were greeted by very friendly staff and as usual couldn’t fault the service throughout our stay. The food was incredible, we ordered a selection of oysters followed by pretty much all the small plates on the menu. Overall, once again, a really enjoyable experience and my cousin loved it. Well Well Well, how was our night at the Oyster club? My girlfriend and I had two completely different experiences. Her night was great and mine was underwhelming. She had 35 Dry Aged Steak - Ribeye (7/10) and Tempura King Prawns (10/10). The portions were great and the food was really really good - for her. She also ordered a bottle of red wine (Petite Sirah Bogle Vineyards, California USA) - it was sweetish (I am not really a wine guy) but it was sweeter than the other reds I have had so not too bad. This ends the fun night because I on the other hand, I might as well have been robbed with a gun. I had the full lobster (£80 pounds), 3 Cooked Oysters and Whipped Cod’s Roe. As you can see, I have specifically put the price of the lobster but we shall speak on that later. The 3 Cooked Oysters honestly didn’t taste like anything. They really just passed through my tongue - I guess it might be an acquired taste. For the price ? Maybe we can overlook it. The Whipped Cod’s Roe was honestly just the same as biscuits and with mayonnaise but again I am not too fussed about this one. My gripe as you already know is with the £80 pounds lobster. Firstly I made the mistake of being absolutely starving and going to a restaurant. I mean I should have eating a bit a home and then maybe the night would have been better? Guys the portion of the lobster? It was ridiculously small for £80. I have been to Burger and Lobster in London and their 2 pound whole lobster is £62 pounds and I usually can’t walk after. The lobster didn’t even come with any sides?? Hello!! Make it £85 and give me chips or something to fill my tummy please. Man I could have spent it £15 to take a coach to London and £65 pounds to have a better lobster meal than what I was served. I could have ordered 2 steak meals that my girlfriend had for £70 combined and had a better night than that £80 lobster. Hers came with chips We need to work on our portions The Oyster Club. The dessert was okay, it couldn’t rescue my night unfortunately. Chocolate Foundant I believe The waiters were lovely - shout out to Rob. Not sure about parking spaces as I don’t live in Birmingham. All in all? Yeah well you already know.

Food and flavours were a bit more than average but atmosphere and service very good.

We sat and ate at the bar, which was great as we had very attentative service. Waitress and bar service was brilliant. Upon arrival, we were asked if we would like to remove our coats, where they were hung up in the cloakroom and were given a tag to return when we were ready to leave. Food was beautiful, caviar, oysters and beef tartare and the wine excellent will definitely return.

Everything is good about The Oyster Club. Walking in through the door from a very busy part of town the vibe is immediately welcoming, calm & relaxed. Shown to our table immediately the service was excellent as it was the whole way through our visit. We went for the snacks instead of a starter - had the Tempura Prawns & the Padron Peppers - both good size portions & we really enjoyed them. - they were excellent. My main was the Fish (Halibut), Chips & Peas with a side of battered onion Rings - my wife had the Pumpkin Risotto - again excellent - special recommendation for the chips (superb). Desert was the Chocolate Fondue & Paris Brest - perfect end to a fantastic meal. Good wine menu with lots of choice. A couple of 3 course meals and a bottle of wine for £135 in a restaurant of this quality represents excellent value for money. I will be returning & definitely recommend

The restaurant is great and it's a great location. However, for what you pay for - the portions are not that great. We had the hot shell platter and it was really good, but we still left the restaurant some what wanting to eat more. But apart from that. It's good. 💯

Feedback When I booked this restaurant, my expectations were high. Credit card details were taken for the reservation. Standard procedure for high standard restaurants. My first impression, just stepping into the restaurant, was not good. The person in reception was not at the main door and the phone was ringing quite highly. She started talking to us from a distance, but we couldn’t understand anything as the phone could make its noise in parallel. At that point, we were at the same level, she showed us the way to the next person in the restaurant, the main waiter on our day. Place was pleasant and quiet. This guy offered some crayons to my little one, I appreciate that. Food. The food was not fresh, we ordered some seafood platters and my wife and me still have stomach-aches after one day. This is the only food that we shared on the day. Service was expensive, but we were happy with it. We didn’t receive any wet tissue. This is the first time in my life where I’m eating seafood and that happens. Poor impression. Summary. Low marks. We won’t book again.

Amazing food! Great customer service from start to finish and even offered us free champagne as it was New Year’s Eve. Especially loved the oysters with garlic, gruyere and breadcrumbs, triple cooked chips and the Paris-Brest!

Fantastic service, great food and very reasonably priced. I’d recommend trying to get a seat downstairs for a view of the kitchen if you can. Half bottles of champagne a great feature of the menu too!

I had dinner with business partners of 8 people and had a chance to experience some different tastes for the sea food. All plates were delicious and distinguished .. highly recommended 👌

What a fabulous place! We were made welcome and were seated quickly on arrival. We started off with oysters - so fresh! The Japanese oysters in particular, were amazing (ginger, chilli and soy) This was followed by caviar served with crème fraiche and blinis. The mushroom parfait and sourdough toast was recommended to us and it was divine!

I was looking forward to taking my wife here. She likes sea food so sounded perfect place for her birthday. Unfortunately it was not great. We had the cold plater to share and the hot plater to share. Not cheap but special treat. The lobster was burnt. Tasted of charcoal. Told the waitress and all she said was " I'll let the kitchen know" I was fuming. But was not going to make a big thing as this was my wife birthday treat. The waiting staff did not know much about what they where serving. Best part was the wine. I expected better for £263 for two of us.

I was rather disappointed with this place. Maybe I was expecting too much but a few things just made the experience a bit ‘meh’. It didn’t help that we were sat at the bar, it was -1 outside, and the entrance had (very slow) sliding doors that meant we were cold for most of the evening. We ordered oysters and then mussels - small thing but it was disappointing that the warm mussel dish arrived before the oysters. Just a bit odd. The weirdest thing, though, was the triple cooked chips which were covered in vinegar. No mention of this on the menu, and not particularly nice. That said, the wine was fine (albeit the vintages aren’t listed on the menu), the staff were pleasant and the food (esp the pumpkin risotto and lamb) were lovely. I guess, when I sit at a bar, I want interaction, I want food in order, I want fab wine, and I want to be warm! I’m sure this was probably one of those anomaly nights. Another night, it probably would have been great.

Oysters are delicious I had lobster and it was unreal, so delicious. My partner had fillet steak and was also impressed.

Shellfish platter chilled很值得，最喜欢其中的生蚝和青口贝，很鲜甜；赶在happy hour去的，所以有机会点了12个Loch Ryan Native Oyster (Scotland)，质量还不错；Skate Wing是用黄油煎的，搭配菠菜，上面有酸的点缀，但整体一般；会有10%的service，但个人认为服务不够好，没有立即帮忙换餐盘和倒水。

We ordered food when our oyster came my husband had bad oyster and had spit out taste was terrible we told lady she took 6 of 12 what we ordered of bill which thought they should all been taken of so we cancelled our food we have eaten seafood restaurant all over uk and abroad and this has got be worst experience

Amazing food and ambience also the service is top notch, very friendly. Only thing I would suggest is that it can get a bit messy so proper cloth napkins would be better. Also if they pre break some of the shells to make it easier to open the lobster that would be great!

Relaxed but special, the food is delicious with some great choices. The oysters are superb and happy hour is a bonus. It's become a birthday tradition, highly recommended!

Five stars to their oyster! Corn cribs and crab bisque is awesome as well!

Got to try the corn ribs, highly recommend. The belly pork was good, but don't think they could figure out what they wanted to do with the skin. Seafood platter was amazing, but even for three of us we struggled to finish it.

Beautiful meal, fantastic ingredients and amazing service. Always love this place for a special occasion. We also highly recommend their cocktails - the bar man is the best and every time we ask for something off the menu, he’s able to make them and they always taste great.

We were surprised to find so very few customers in the restaurant? The restaurant is welcoming, simplistic decor, but charming. Polite staff, good service, each course timed well. Each dish was delicious, would recommend the seafood platter, lobster, halibut. Good selection of wine. Expensive, but a lovely treat for my birthday. It’s a shame the restaurant is on the street that bottomless brunch customers ( drinks) hang out!!!!!

My Husband booked the restaurant for our 1st year anniversary. The food overall was 10/10 presentation was everything the flavours were even better. Service was good. However, the reason I’ve given atmosphere 1 star is because we’re were swatting fruit flies away from our food and drinks all night. Both husband and I had our drinks replaced because flies landed in them. We then asked to move tables which we did and there were still flies in that area of the restaurant too. I can’t fault the staff for doing everything they could for us but Unfortunately there seems to be a fruit fly infestation and this did ruin the experience for us.

Having eaten at Adam’s was happy that my wife choose this for my birthday lunch. We ordered the baked scallop starter. It came on one side plate with the waiter saying you sharing today then. No, we ordered two starters but as they were one scallop each, they put it on one plate. Not value for what they charge. One very small lobster and one over done Dover Sole later we were so disappointed. £225.00 and it was not value for what we had. Shame really, when you order two starters and get it served on one side plate, the restaurant know what they are doing. Finally, why cram everyone downstairs in by the till, when they have a huge lovely looking dining area completely empty.

Three out of four of us were ill all night and all of Sunday, was so sick through the night and not what you would expect £560.00 bill. There is no atmosphere there anymore. Very welcoming place, and polite. 10 out of 10. All amenities here, again the food of high standards.young old all welcome no matter what . Price very good I will be going back in the future.

What a great experience! Our son knew we had enjoyed Adam’s in the past and recently sent me a gift voucher for this more casual offering as a birthday treat. We visited during happy hour mid-week and began with a glorious martini and a dozen delicious oysters - impressed with both. Next we tried four items on the snack menu with wonderfully fragrant English blanc de blanc. The baked scallop and the salt cod croquettes were particularly scrummy! We then shared a wonderful Dover sole with crispy broccoli tips accompanied by a very decent English white wine. The chocolate and walnut brownie topped with coffee ice cream was just divine. Outstanding service and a stylish interior. Spectacular! We’ll be returning with friends.

Having eaten at the main Adams restaurant we were enthusiastic to try the Oyster Club during our recent shopping day in Birmingham. We decided not to book a table as they accept walk-ins - we turned up at 1500 on a Saturday and they didn’t have any tables left but could seat us at the bar. The menu is quite varied - mainly seafood but steaks as well. After several minutes of changing our minds the 4 of us decided to go for the cold seafood platter with some sourdough to go with it. It did take a very long time for them to serve it (nothing to cook?) but the wait was worth it. Massive platter of oysters, crab, cockles, mussels and 3 different types of prawns. Everything was superb and so fresh. We had a couple of bottles of white wine which went really well with the food. At £70+ per head it is far from cheap (10% service charge added to the bill) but the food quality was very high. We left feeling full and very content!

Myself and partner visited for her birthday and we both loved it, the food and service was amazing! We will certainly be back very soon.

We went there yesterday. Booked by our son for his graduation lunch. He had been there for his girlfriends 21st a year ago and was bigging it up. The service was poor for the expensive cost. Had to pour our wine and waitresses were quite elusive. We all pretty much had the monkfish tails. Which our son raves about. Mine was over cooked and hard. Wife’s halibut was colder than it should be. We paid the bill but to be fair it was way over priced for what we got in return. Saying this as they need to stay in business and won’t if they offer this kind of service. Very disappointed for my son and we tried to brush it off. But it was a topic of conversation quite a few times during the rest of the evening.

No doubt with all quality and fresh Oyster there . I am thrilled with lamp too with wonderful texture . Nice and sincere service there for celebration .

We went to The Oyster Club with a booking through First Table, which is a website that offers the first tables of the evening for 50% discount. It meant we ate early (4.45pm booking) but for the chance to eat such amazing seafood with a big discount it was worth it and I'd really recommend it because as others have said the menu is on the expensive side. We shared a chilled seafood platter which had a small surplus of £5 each when ordered with First Table discount but it was still great value. The platter was huge and looked amazing. We each had three oysters, so many prawns, King prawns, langoustines, mussels, clams and cockles. The dressed crab was lovely but there wasn't a lot of crab. We had sourdough on the side and some very refreshing mocktails. We had never had some of the things on the platter and the staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked some questions. We then shared a buttermilk Panna cotta which was delicious. My only downside was we had to wait a little while for a member of staff on occasion and we were sat at a high table which was a little squeeze and slightly uncomfortable to eat at. Overall a great opportunity to try some fresh seafood at a specialist restaurant with fantastic discount. Would really recommend both The Oyster Club and using First Table.

Well as owner of a restaurant i can say that we appreciate the food and the ambience but service is top notch here. Judith really knows the job. She was cheerfull and proffesional. 💪💪💪

Loved it. Attentive and friendly staff and amazing food. Would definitely go again. Only reason for dropping a star for atmosphere was that there were few people there, other than that it would be 5 star all the way.

We visited the restaurant at 8pm as wanted to try their Surf & Turf (£140) to be told it was not available, not the greatest of starts. We went on & ordered the Turbot & Ribeye. The food was cooked perfectly but my steak was quite tough & chewy so I decided rather than complaining that I would ask if I could take it home for our dog. I had only eaten about half of it so at £35 didn't want it to go to waste. I asked the waiter who informed me that they didn't have any containers so asked if it could just be wrapped in foil. The waiter returned to inform me that he wasn't allowed to let me take the steak home - I was surprised & horrified - I understand that premium restaurants are reluctant to allow you to take fish home but have never been told I couldn't take steak. If I had paid for the meal I would have complained but this was a treat off my partner so I had to suck it in. Needless to say we will not return.

Really nice decor, we sat downstairs which was a bit quieter, in a corner which meant we could sit next to each other but look around the restaurant. The staff were great, and there was great theatrics with the bisque which was served in a jug by the waitress. I was a little disappointed with my lobster which was a bit small and not really worth the price. Otherwise my partner had a really good piece of fish and the bisque was delicious. We had 2 different cocktails which were both good. Will definitely go again if we are out in Birmingham.

I’ve just eaten the best turbot ever at The Ouster Club and believe me I’ve eaten at a lot of very good seafood restaurants. It was perfectly cooked and the hollandaise sauce with asparagus also spot on. Add perfectly cooked chips and honey roasted carrots and it’s a great main course. My oyster starter was lovely but my daughter’s cured sea bream was even better and she loved her pasta. I’d have given the meal five stars but I honestly thought it was a bit too expensive even for that quality. I’m thinking if they lowered their prices a little they’d be a lot busier. However it was a fabulous treat!

Had Oysters, Beluga caviar and a mix of small plates. Food was OK. Not worth the hype. Service was very average for the price you are paying for the food. My champagne flute was empty for about 15 mins and they kept my bottle quite far away from the table... And no one offered to top up the champagne until I asked. Not what I expected. Not somewhere I'd rush back to or recommend.

Fantastic. Had loads of different little plates which were all delightful. Excellent service, amazing seafood and a great chance to enjoy a more playful way of dining. We've already discussed going back as soon as possible! Prices are high but I truly believe you get what you pay for and we paid to be impressed which we were.

This is our third visit to the Oyster club. Everything was delicious and beautifully served. My Dover sole was the best I’ve had in years. Highly recommended.

I usually wouldn't enjoy seafood like oysters. However they were so fresh and delicious that I can't wait to go back. Amazing!

Oysters where amazing! We had 8 different starters and snacks. Not what we would normally associate with Adam’s quality. Menu has changed. Cost £224 for 2 people. Was not impressed. Definitely gone down hill from 1-2 years ago.

Attentive staff, with very tasty food. This is a high end Michelin restaurant, with pretty top prices. However , if you like seafood, and want to treat yourself , this is the place to go.

A delightful casual dining restaurant which lived up to expectations. Excellent fish menu (we had tempura oysters, monkfish tail and lobster) and some very pleasant drinks, in a great atmosphere.

Late lunch Saturday for 3, ate at restaurant table. Oysters 3x tempura & 3 picked rhubarb; grotto misto & lime cured mackerel. Hake, trout & Dover sole with chips, carrots & greens followed by tarte tatin. Quite expensive but worth it - we’ll be back!

Another excellent meal, we sat at the bar and shared oysters followed by the red prawns and burrata from the new menu. Both were absolutely stunning. Already looking forward to the next visit

We went here last night and the atmosphere and food was not of a high enough standard for the price point being charged. There was food on the floor near our table, the decor was dated etc. Nothing we ate was particularly delicious or inspiring. When you pay 175 pounds for two people to have dinner you expect to have an experience you can’t stop raving about. The best item we ordered was the oysters. They were well priced, fresh and the dressing was good - particularly the rhubarb dressed oysters as this was something we had not seen or experienced before. The Fritto Misto was most disappointing (see pic) for £19 - small portion and nothing special at all. We are from Melbourne so maybe the food scene is quite different. We could pay half this amount and get a truely delicious, high end, unique food experience in Melbourne. I’m glad we went but won’t be coming back.

Lobster was under cooked on the shellfish platter Our waitress informed the kitchen who then proceeded to stare at us through the window!! Smoked cod roe is far too over powering for those little bits of toast. Nduja butter ruins a perfectly good scallop, again...

Very disappointed with our return visit. Food was cold and very expensive! Oysters were ok have had better and cheaper! Won't be rushing back!

We had a poorly child and were unable to make our reservation. Called restaurant 5hrs ahead of reservation to explain situation and asked to reschedule. Was told not possible and we’d be penalised £30pp. They took £120 from my card. I understand t’s & c’s...
