I would come back from Glasgow again for a lunch here. Pub grub doesnt do it justice, The portions are huge. The steak pie would have fed 2 people . Stewing steak was succulent and plentiful. Our bill for 2 meals and a starter was £22. Honestly, for a wee pub the meals were top notch. 👌

Pub in city centre easily accessed from bus / train station. Parking beside it. When entering you’ll get a proper pub lunch. Bar as soon as you go in with tables for food, couple of steps up into another area with tables for food. Also a few benches out the back. Nice lunch menu. Served quickly & piping hot food. I ordered steak sandwich, friend ordered a salad both came with chips. Around £10 which on reflection is perhaps a teency bit high but huge portions too. The food was really tasty, the best coleslaw I have tasted ! Delicious.

My partner and I were visiting Perth for a few days, and we stumbled across this little gem of a pub and having tried their food, we were very impressed with the portions and quality. I had a beef links roll and a Lorne sausage roll, and upon arrival , the roll consisted of 3 beef links, and Lorne consisted of 2 Lorne sausages on a roll. My partner ordered a ham and cheese toastie, and on arrival was a thick toastie with plenty of cheese and ham on it, along with a large portion of side salad, potato salad, and crisps. We ordered a cup of tea to accompany this, and it came with a large pot of tea (Scottish blend) as well as a smaller pot of hot water to top up, which managed six mugs of tea, all of this cost £15 which we thought was an excellent price for what we received, Other things on the menu were Mac n Cheese which came with chips, homemade Streak pie served with mash or chips priced at £8.50 and various others on the menu, something for everyone. When we first went in, it only appeared to be two families finishing their breakfasts, by the looks of things. Then the place got busy with people coming in, filling up, and ordering food. The staff were attentive and very friendly indeed; nothing was too much trouble for them. If we return to Perth in future, we will be visiting again as I cannot praise this highly enough and would undoubtedly recommend that people try it as the quality of food and service is excellent.

Really disappointed with our visit. I had friends visiting from out of town and had really hyped this up as I am a regular and usually love it. I booked a table for 4 and my friend brought her baby with her, the table we were given did not have space for a pram - this was ok my friend was going to move the pram, it did not need to be at the table as she was planning to take him out to feed. However, the waitress offered to move us to a bigger space which I initially thought was really nice and accommodating until she made two unnecessary rude comments including ‘there is no way a pram is fitting in there, I wish people would include kids on their booking’ and ‘you would be amazed how many people forget about their kids’. This was completely rude and unnecessary. It was an honest change of plan which was easily sorted and if she had thought to have a conversation with us, we would have come up with a solution. But to offer a solution (which was very appreciated) and follow it up with snide comments was unfair. The food was great as always, unfortunately I will not be able to return with these friends. It’s hard enough as a new mum to navigate outings, let alone with this attitude.

The concert hall & staff were great. Staff were very helpful . The area is not that great for parking but that's not the halls fault.

Terrific informative baking class. Iain taught us how to make oatcakes and Selkirk bannocks and the ability to ask questions and get insight into the process was priceless. A great experience.

Overall a great experience, customer service was great, room was big and clean, breakfast excellent. The only disappointment was the cairns restaurant food, I felt it was over priced and below standard. Wouldn’t eat there again but would return to resort.
