Waited over an hour for our food only to realise they missed something. Rang up, asked them to send it and never received anything. Very unhappy with their services.

We ordered on just eat. The food showed delivered and it wasn’t. The food took under two hours to come and it was cold. We made 9 phone calls and most of the time the restaurant would put the phone down. Nightmare place. This has happened twice now. Do not order form here!!

The best place to eat fresh, tasty grilled chicken I frequently visit this location. Because the food is grilled and is both delicious and healthy .Everything is freshly prepared, and customer service  is excellent I would highly recommend visiting this location.

Came into the shop today and the gentleman behind the counter redshan was excellent. Well worth a visit!!!

Very affordable and fantastic service. The food is unreal, good quality and always up to speed with service. I order from here at least 3 times a week, definitely recommend the mixed platter, rice boxes, fried chicken loaded fries and their sauces. Glad I found this place.

Brilliant Service & Lovely Food

Ordered food for delivery, told that it would be 30minutes bearing in mind we live 2 minutes away from the shop after an hour when called for an update we were told it will be another 10 minutes and 20 minutes later we were still waiting. Would not recommend customer service appalling and just a really bad experience overall when it’s 10pm and you’re still waiting for your dinner and you have a young family.

I’d requested an original burger and asked for no cheese or sauces, they said they would make sure there wouldn’t be any and when I checked my food it was smothered in sauce

It is the worst place to eat. I have ordered burger twice and it was dry and hard to chew. I even mentioned to make it juicy but they didn’t bothered . When you go you wait their forever.

Regularly drop in here whilst working to pick up a tasty burger and chips. The cheese stack burger is out of this world and crammed full of flavour! A real treat & reasonably priced! Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

I recently ordered a meal through a delivery service, and unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. The service, in particular, was disappointing. The app provided the option to have the food delivered directly to my location—specifically to my hotel room. However, upon arrival, the delivery person called and requested that I come down to the reception, stating that they were unable to bring the order up to my room. This lack of service was inconvenient and contrary to what was promised by the app. As for the meal itself, the hamburgers were well-prepared. The meat was of high quality and tasted very good, which was a highlight of the order. However, the sides I ordered—fries and wings—were underwhelming. Despite being marketed as gourmet, the wings, in particular, were disappointing and did not meet the expectations set by the description. The quality of these items diminished the overall experience and detracted from the meal's gourmet label. In summary, while the burgers were enjoyable, the subpar service and mediocre sides reduced the overall satisfaction of the experience. I would hesitate to describe the meal as gourmet given the inconsistencies in quality.

Good food good size portion. However I wouldn’t say ‘gourmet’. If you’re looking for reasonable burger place to fill a hole and doesn’t break the bank then defo this is the place. Ordered the tikka combo, hot dog jalapeño , grilled Chinese wings and tikka bowl. £20 for all. Tikka combo was the best part. Too much cheese sauce on the tikka bowl for my liking. Hot dog wasn’t anything special unfortunately. And the wings for me were a let down, saw them cooking it - it was grilled wings then chucked into a bag with sauce added and mixed. They could’ve put the sauce on the grill with sesame seeds to give it that authentic taste. Overall first time wasn’t bad, will try again and see how it is again. Service 3/5 due to they forgot my wings and had to wait another 15mins.

I’ll start by saying if I could give this a 3.5 stars I would, but I can’t and it’s not a 3 star so 4 it is! It’s a nice little burger spot with some seating inside nice decor and vibe, the menu is expansive to say the least pretty much Something for anyone here. I ordered a a cheese stack burger as a meal. Let’s talk about it, 6oz burger patty loaded with halloumi, mozzarella sticks and more cheese. I was expecting some serious cheese pull with cheese dripping everywhere, but there was none of that but that’s ok. The patty itself could have been frozen bought? Certainly not freshly made in house which a lot of burger spots do these days, it lacked any juiciness was a pretty dry patty tbf, there was some seasoning too it and it had that flame grilled taste. Halloumi was cooked nicely, and mozzarella sticks don’t really do much tbh. The bun certainly held it all together but it was pretty chewy and soft again could have been frozen?. The fries were very basic, some crispy some maybe undercooked, certainly no seasoning on them, came with 2 sauces a mint chillie and garlic mayo both were pretty decent as far as dips go. Overall I wouldn’t say this place is bad, it’s cheap it hits the spot but wouldn’t say it’s gourmet! But for cheap quick decent burger it will hit the spot! Under £10 for burger chips and drink is pretty good In my book! Today’s rating overall is 6.5/10 - needs more finesse and upping the patty game to call this gourmet! But let’s be honest I’d happily go back!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent order I placed through your service. On 23/06/2024 I ordered a meal consisting of a burger, two cans of juice, and two sweet fries, for a total cost of £41.02. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the food arrived cold, which significantly detracted from the enjoyment of the meal. Secondly, the order was incomplete, with items missing. Given the high price I paid, this was extremely disappointing. When I attempted to resolve this issue by calling your customer service, I was put on hold and eventually hung up on. Oh dear. Not what the name implies at all. My Original Meal Deal with pre-formed, warmed-over cheap beef patty, sickly sweet onion sauce & pickled jalapeños was only just edible, but I was hungry. No passion in this food. No toilet in this worn-out tired-looking place either. It’s cheap, but I’d avoid if you’re looking for a serious burger. This whole meal was only £8.69 and the shoestring fries were OK so there’s that.

Always buy the Mexicano gourmet burger very nice and slightly chilly aswell hits the spot would recommend to try it

After long time somebody delivered the yummy food to us, every time we order the food from other take aways either it’s cold or taste less and waste of money but The Original Gourmet Burger Co. didn’t disappoint us and specially buy one get one burger deal really surprise us we thought it will be small burgers but it was good size burger and quality wise it was good too. Peri Peri Chicken was yummy and juicy too. Food was delivered hot and on time really enjoyed the meal with family after long time without any issue other wise every time we order the food from out side there are some issue we need more take aways like The Original Gourmet Burger Co. in Reading and who deliver in Arborfield Green. Sorry food was so yummy forgot to take the pictures 😂

The food and service is always on point. Sunday 9th April it was very busy, especially at iftar time but all the staff worked hard together. I watched them churn out order after order and when my food arrived it was hot and tasty. Ahmed was on shift and all the boys worked together to please all the customers.

We ordered in the store for take-away and you can see the stations behind the counter. It looked very much like everything that went into the burger was bought in, premade. Chips were out of a frozen bag, and from what I could tell the burger patties were straight out the fridge. Nothing gourmet about this place. If this doesn't bother you, the burger was still tasty and everything was made to order even if a little pricey given the quality of the food.

If you can put the 2 star hygiene rating to the back of your mind, this place is a diamond amongst the rough. It's insanely good value, and the burger variety and flavours are really good, and a great guilty pleasure.

New to the area and been trying to find a local takeaway we can rely on for our once a week takeaway. Driven past here a few times and decided to give it a try. There is a lot of choice here with burgers, hotdogs and chicken available. I thought I would try out the burgers as this is what you'd expect is the speciality. Again a decent choice of burgers, I picked out the original burger with a couple of modifications. Service was very good, order was easy. Didn't have to wait too long for my burger, which I think is an interesting one because it rang some alarm bells. Normally I'd expect the cooking to take a bit longer. Regardless I took the items and went home to try. The burger wasn't that good unfortunately, it had the dry mealy texture of a frozen patty. The toppings were nicely applied and it had a brioche style bun. But it was all let down by a dry juiceless burger. I think if you want to call yourself The Original Gourmet Burger Co you really need to be using freshly made burger patties. This didn't do it for me. The search continues

Been here a few times, but never again, I thought il give it a chance but it was always bad. Gourmet high prices but not gourmet food. Burgers dry and chewy. Chips soggy and bad tasting. Cheese is cheap processed stuff not cheddar. Burger looked messy like it was thrown together, even had nearly half an onion with stalk attached. Paid for extra burger toppings but dont get them. Paid for breast burger and got a strip burger. Staff to busy on phone instead of making sure food comes out quick and hot. After asking about missing items they weren't interested in resolving it. Not recommended.

This place has got really good this year the piri piri burger is the best I’ve had so far in reading very well priced 6.50 for a meal is insane half the price of pepes and you get a way bigger portion and it tastes so much better especially with the sauce on the chicken and the store is so clean when I go and looks fresh nice design on the packaging as well. Chips also cooked to perfection. Definitely going at least once a week

I just ordered a takeaway. I can say I always order the chicken tikka loaded fries, which is always the best 10/10. However, this time my parents thought let’s try the chicken strips. I can strongly advise anyone who wants to get chicken strips- do not get it as it’s very dry. Also, in my salad I found a plastic at the end, plastic probably from the cucumber wrapping. I (I’m guessing). Very disappointed. I have posted a pic of the plastic

Beware: tough dry frozen burger patties. Not fresh at all. Definitely not gourmet as the name states. Note to restaurant owner: Fresh minced meat is cheaper and better than frozen. Cook gourmet as the name states on your restaurant.

Burgers are amazing one of the best I travel from Oxford to eat here!

Ordered two burgers and a hot dog, I shall not be going back at all. The Burger is full of hard gristle took many bites to ensure it wasn't just an unlucky first bite. All I can saw is the taste is ok but as soon as your mouth is full of rock like gristle the whole experience dies. Chips were good but unfortunately they use the cheapest of the cheap burgers and the hot dog is cheap fish n chip meat not worth what they ask for it, and the taste.is not nice. Packaged well but the contents really let this place down.

Love these burgers!!!! Tried them once for a change without knowing what were we gping to have and they are our main burger place now! We love the variety of burgers (have tried a few and they are all amazing!), price and food quality are perfect (although I have to say that Fridays and Saturdays it is a bit worse than weekdays, specially the chips), amount of food is more than enough and presentation is perfect! 100% recommended!!!

Glad I ordered from here, I never ordered from here before and today thought giving it a try. Which turns to be today's best decision. The burger and fries were awesome never had such fresh and crispy fries from a delivery. And the beef (original) burger was awesome the cheese the sauce.. I mean it's great. Ordered through Just Eat today. 1) Incomplete order (one meal deal instead of two) 2) So sad burgers! Seemed like someone sat on them.. 3) No Juice in patty.. Very dry 4) Spent almost 50 pounds for 8 burgers through Justeat!!!! Expensive deal but not worth Wont order again... Good only when you have it there.
