The food is still good but the service has declined terribly. The menu was unclear, in terms of what items came with some of the dishes, & the staff were clearly untrained as they had to keep going off to check & find answers. Once the food was ordered it took almost an hour to arrive, & it wasn't busy! The food itself was good but they need to sort out the service levels to get back to the excellent standards they use to deliver.

We used to come here for many years and returned expecting the same great food what a huge disappointment. From walking through the door we were told by an extremely rude man your tables upstairs.I asked if there was anything downstairs he said no and walked away doing a hand gesture like he was on a tv show.We hadn’t a clue where we were going and when got upstairs had to ask where we were to be seated so unwelcoming and unprofessional. Then we get to the food we both ordered pizzas my husband ordered the fennel one and I ordered tomato & proscuito.Mine was like I’d poured tomato puree over it and was inedible my husbands was so dry and disgusting we left both. The worst food and welcome will never return. We used to live it here what a huge shame.Eveeyone around us were complaining we chose to just leave and never return.

Yesterday I visited The Orange Pub for an early lunch. We were a group of four and seated upstairs. There was no where to hang coats and the dining room was cold. The menu on the website was different from the menu we were given when seated. A couple of the pizzas that were ordered were barely warm. Left underwhelmed and having spent a lot. Very disappointing.

I guess I was thrown because I got what I didn't expect. So I was embarrassed in front of my guests by that. I should have researched it better I used to go on and off over a number of years but it had changed out of recognition. Used to be sophisticated casual with classy food. I recall it as buzzy and lively without the excessive noise and boom boom boom of a bass line from music downstairs and the young and beautiful draping themselves loudly around tables. Now it’s that rather corny attempt to jazz up pizzas etc with unusual toppings That said. The food was delicious. As a party of four we shared several very interesting starters. Then very well cooked unusually topped pizzas. Service was adequate but dull and dour. A rather tired waitress. But adequate. Overall by all means go there to enjoy the thriving trendy folk of Pimlico but not if you valued the more sophisticated food and smart casual feel before it was “improved”. Noisy.

Went for Sunday lunch with family last weekend. Had heard good things having previously had an average experience, and wanted to give it a second chance, however we all left slightly underwhelmed. Ordered the family style roast for four, but when it came, the chicken was lukewarm, there was only 2 thin slices of beef, and the two slices of pork were mostly fat, and therefore not much meat to eat on it. Not much veg either. Perhaps serving it in a cold skillet does not help keep the food warm. There was however, plenty of roast potatoes which were nice and crisp. Overall it was very average, verging on disappointing. Would I go back again? No, probably not.

Very good roast lunch last Sunday. Good service and great food. I will be back. However they don’t take cash. Edit: I cam back here on Saturday 9/14/24 with 3 people. Had a great roast (family style) for 4. Minor things - could have had more veg for 4 people. Only greens and not enough. Carrots would have been nice. Also, we had to ask for steak knives. Good food and good service though. Great location and nice interior.

Yesterday afternoon, I visited The Orange Pub for the first time. It had been on my list for a while due to all the great things I’d heard about their food. Unfortunately, the poor service has left me unwilling to return. Our group of six was served by a waitress who, despite not using a notepad to take orders, managed to get one of the drink orders wrong in the first round, though she did apologize for it. When it came to the main course, she still didn't write anything down. Five people at our table received their meals, while I waited around 20 minutes for mine. When the waitress eventually approached, she informed me that I would have to wait even longer. I asked how much longer, but instead of answering, she walked away. Later, she asked my tablemates what I had ordered—while I was in the bathroom—clearly forgetting my meal, which could’ve been avoided if she had just used a notepad. A friend had to ask about my food again as I continued waiting. Despite knowing she had forgotten my order, the waitress only apologized to my friend, who had raised the issue, not to me directly. The constant uncertainty around my meal became a major distraction throughout lunch. Half the time I watched five people eat, and the other half, they watched me. The experience was frustrating and completely avoidable. The staff handled the situation poorly, and I never received a direct apology or any gesture, like a snack or drink, to make up for the delay. It's such a shame, because the food was fantastic.

The service was lovely with a very friendly waiter, and the ambience was nice. We are local so come here often. The restaurant was very inflexible about pizza toppings which I found frustrating. I asked for a margherita pizza with pancetta (offered on another pizza alongside pineapple and gorgonzola) for my son. The waiter said they were asked for this all the time and couldn't do it. If your customers are asking for something all the time, perhaps you should take it on board? The other dishes were average to good.

Great pub, shame about the food. Let’s start with the positives – the pub itself is quite nice. Good atmosphere, great selection of beers, and the service is decent enough. So, if you’re coming here for drinks, you’re in the right place. However, if you’re planning to eat, well… temper your expectations. I’ve been here a few times before, and I used to really enjoy the pizza. Unfortunately, it seems things have gone downhill. My guess? They’ve swapped the pizza chef, and the change is anything but for the better. The pizza is no longer what it used to be. And the kitchen? Let’s just say accuracy isn’t their strong suit. Case in point: they advertise red prawns on the menu, but what arrives is an Argentine prawn, which is… not quite the same, to put it mildly. Attention to detail, especially in menu descriptions, is crucial. In summary: Yes to the pub, no to the restaurant.

We hosted a dinner for our board members and a number of external stakeholders at the Orange last week, and to say we were impressed is an understatement! The Ebury Room was just the right size for our group of 20 - there was room to mingle over pre-dinner drinks, and space to move around between courses. The quality of the food was exceptional, and I had lots of feedback in particular about the bread that was served post-entree - wow! The standout performance, however, was from the team - they were so attentive to our needs, and so obliging. We will definitely keep the Orange in mind for future events, thank you!

Beautiful location! However, we had a disappointing experience. I indicated that I am deaf and asked if the server could write down things as I was struggling to understand him. He ignored this, making me uncomfortable, so I just said yes. Several menu items were unavailable, which was frustrating, especially after checking the menu in advance. We were told to finish and leave by 9:30 PM. We were asked twice if we were done while still eating, and at the third time, we felt so rushed that we took our food to go, even though it wasn’t yet 9:30…a shame

Well I was pretty disappointed… not only there wasn’t much of a vibe (not necessarily their fault) but the staff treated us poorly, the pizza was really mid especially for the price and unfortunately the bartender messed up our drinks and then the server was initially rude about it… a real pity because the place is nice and could so easily be likeable :( hope they do better

An area with many high society residents near Chelsea in London. Dinner with investors from business partners. It was a fun time even though I was nervous. I almost gave up on the volume of the roasted half chicken, but managed to finish it all. Paired with Italian red, the aftertaste is refreshing. By the time I left the store, a crowd had formed around me. The nights in Britain are long.

I brought my family here for a Roast dinner in 2022, and they were visiting the country again and begged for another Roast at that Orange. We arrived to see you have re-decorated. Very nicely so. However, the menu had changed completely and not for the better. Trusting our first experience, we ordered the Roasts. I ordered the 'Parmigiana' Roast. A lazy way of satisfying vegetarians. Sadly, the Parmigiana was unacceptable. Undercooked and for its price; measly. So much so I sent it back and after seeing the other dishes, decided to not eat. The Roasts were nothing like a classic English Roast. The chicken desperately needed gravy. If there was some, we were not offered any. The pork was okay, although those beans… Yuck! The cabbage was undercooked and not very tasty. The potatoes were dry and not crispy. When you charge your prices, the food needs to be flawless. Also, on our booking we specifically mentioned the need for two highchairs because of twin 1-year olds and the table was placed up two flights of stairs. Not very child friendly. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday and had a pretty bad experience. The food was some of the worst I’ve had in London—definitely not fresh and tasted like it was microwaved. I had the aubergine parmigiano and a side of potatoes, and somehow, they managed to mess both up. The potatoes, especially, were inedible. I couldn’t believe I paid £60 for just those two items and a drink. The service didn’t help either. Our waiter kept trying to get us to order more, even after we said no to appetizers. He brought us a couple of slices of focaccia without asking and then charged us for them. To top it off, at one point, someone opened the bar’s fridge, and the whole place started smelling like rotten vegetables. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience, and I won’t be going back, ever.

- The bloody mary was undrinkable - it was so watery and tasteless. Worst one I’ve ever had in my life - The sunday roast was nothing exceptional - it comes with roast potatoes (which clearly were frozen as they were so tough on the outside and dry on the inside) and some random greenery - The waitor’s attitude depended on each table; with us he was so rude and condescending but with the table next to us who were “usuals” as he explained to us he was smiling and going the extra mild - The waitor kept hitting my chair every time as he passed by with no apology and would hit the back of my back - When we asked for the bill, same thing we were ignored, forgotten because they were too busy with the table of “usuals” - Paying 15% service charge in a pub is shocking especially for a service that is that tragic Good for them they pick and choose who they want to treat well because I won’t coming back and won’t be one of the “usuals”

Not the best service, specifically asked for a margarita on the rocks and it arrived in a tumbler with no ice- so then had to ask for ice on the side. The beef roast when brought to the table was just three cuts of beef and a Yorkshire pudding- potatoes and greens came separately which seemed odd as the plate looked bare. The beef was suppose to come with a horseradish crème fraiche but that wasn’t on the plate and had to be requested, only one pot came even though to people had ordered the beef. Chicken roast was nothing to write home about the lemon sage and garlic butter was bland, and it would be nice to have some bread sauce or actual sage stuffing to accompany the dry chicken. Ordered a chocolate pudding for desert which was nice but took 25 mins and a reminder on its whereabouts before it arrived. We also had to go up to pay as it was apparent we had just been forgotten. Won’t rush back, disappointing

The guy who served us was very kind, trying to speak Spanish to us and recommending the best. The food has been very scarce, a plate of pork ribs was more of a tapa and we also lost the Sunday roast, very poor in vegetables and the plate was almost empty compared to other places, the typical bread for this dish was very crunchy and dry . A relaxing breakfast with old friends. The menu choices were excellent (I am SO tired of breakfast menus that are egg-centric) and the food and coffee were very good. The kitchen here is obviously well-run. Service was friendly and efficient. The music was at a low volume which we all noted and appreciated at the time, given that we hadn't met for several years and wanted to be able to hear ourselves speak. Having worried that we were perhaps not typical Belgravians, we felt well-looked after and would happily return when in the area.

Really excellent menu. Very good for vegetarians. However, the pub was seriously understaffed. Took a long time to order, took a ridiculously long time to get the bill. Half a table of 2 received their meal five minutes before the other half. Impossible to get any attention for anything extra. Still always great ambience and excellent food.

We have been going to the Orange several times over the last couple of years as it has gone through a few “transformations”. This was our worst experience. Never going back as this was second time we had a very disappointing experience.Service was poor. Suspect they were short staffed and a big party downstairs. Waiter had no idea of drinks/ food being offered. Never came by our table except when we could catch his attention. Pasta dish was almost inedible. Side dishes appeared long after main course had been served. Neighbouring table we chatted with had similar experience. We fled this place and went around the corner to Wild by Tart which was brilliant.

Really enjoyed the evening at the Orange until the bill came. 15% service charge - why? What makes you different/special from every other restaurant in London? Are you not paying your staff enough? Have you been taken over by the Americans? Don’t rip off your customers!

Awful Sunday roast experience. First of all, the roasts here used to be excellent. I was served burnt roast potatoes that I can tell came frozen. Chicken tasted like it was marinated in sugar free lemon squash and boiled for the minimum amount of time. We were served curried carrots, doesn’t go with a roast. The new vision and execution should be reverted back. Table across from us said it’s the worst roast they’ve had. Apologies for having to be so blunt, but your customers will be gone if you continue to serve this. Paid £80/90 total for drinks and roast. I shouldn’t have had to pay for this experience.

I’ve been having Nandos at least once a month for over 15 years and today I can honestly say was my worst experience. No one greeted my sister and I. We had to seat ourselves, which was a task as most of the tables were dirty from previous guests. I went to the till and ordered as I wanted to specify what piece of chicken I wanted, the man at the till was welcoming and polite. We then had to wait 35 minutes for our food. When the food came it was stone cold, I was in disbelief that they presented us with that cold food. We sent our food back and was given fresh sides but the chicken was just drenched in more sauce reheated for a few seconds and handed back to us. We sent it back again. We sat with our sides as we waited for the chicken. By this time we had already lost our appetite having to sit surrounded by tables with leftover food. We were not asked how the food as we usually are. We still had our red stick on our table at the end of our meal. Terrible experience and a big waste of money. Quite disappointing as we visited her last week and our host Blossom was lovely but they were clearly extremely under staffed today. I won’t be back.

Weekday booking, on a Monday evening, there were guests but the place was hardly full, plenty of empty tables. Still it took ages to take and serve our orders, or let us pay the bill. Food was fresh but only warm, not hot, took forever to receive at the table. Wanted to choose a drink from the specials, by 6 pm they ran out of both mulled wine and cider, which is surprising given it's their specialty being offered on top of the menu, so had to choose something different. The decoration and atmosphere is very nice especially now that we're getting close to Christmas, but the service wasn't the best, and the food wasn't that good either (neither portion size, temperature or taste) what we paid for it. Was ok for one visit but would think twice before booking again to be honest.

Taste, environment, service is very good, know that they have a financial return and they get it 😁

Was pretty quiet when we visited for lunch. Considering how quiet it was service was a little on the slow side but thankfully we weren’t in a rush. Staff were lovely though and the food was great!
