Couldn't recommend this place more for a sunday roast! The staff (in particular Balazs who served us) was professional, super kind and gave us great recommendations. The roast itself was delicious and had great vegetarian options! Loved our time there and will definitely return.

The pub is a classic and the food, whilst punching above its weight, remains within squarely within the now well established lineage of gastro pub menus. What stands out is the quaint, carefully designed and plushly appointed bedrooms with their tiny yet country manor-looking en-suite bathrooms. One feels one could easily be in Oxfordshire for a fleeting moment, yet a stone throw away from Sloane Square.

Visited The Orange after its “revamp” which has been done nicely but the new bar doesn’t seem to be very practical as not enough space to prop yourself up there or eat small plates there, as too close to the tables along the opposite wall. Service was slow at the start, took a while to have our order taken, however, they were very attentive with pouring wine once it arrived. Food was good although my friend and I ordered the chicken with grapes and we weren’t informed upon ordering that that was literally the dish, no veg or anything else on the plate, so whilst the chicken was delicious, we feel some veg side dishes should have been advised. We had a very nice bottle of Picpoul. We would go back but there is room for improvement.

Half of the menu was not available to begin with and after placing the order and waiting for some time we were told that what we had chosen was not available either. The service was very slow, drinks and food took long to arrive. The Yorkshire Pudding was burned to ash. The staff kept apologising and offering free drinks/discounts after every mess-up, which is nice of them, but getting bad food and a discount was not my Sunday plan. What a bizarre experience

Really disappointed in our visit - clearly has gone down hill over the years. We had a lovely waiter but clear that he was massively stretched. Didn’t get to eat for over an hour after arriving and drinks too about 30minutes to arrive. Food was ok - a bit greasy and def over priced Room was dark and very noisy.

The Orange has long been a cherished venue for our family, where we've shared countless meals and cherished memories over the years. Eager to experience the restaurant post-renovation, we selected it for our Mother's Day celebration. Regrettably, the experience fell far short of our expectations, prompting us to share our disappointment with others. Since the renovation, the once-charming atmosphere has been entirely drained from the restaurant. There's now a noticeable lack of ambiance, and the warmth it once exuded has vanished. Our initial reception was cold and unwelcoming, setting the tone for subpar service throughout our visit. We placed our drink and food orders simultaneously, yet after a 20-minute wait, both arrived together, disrupting the flow of our family meal. Furthermore, the food was served cold, with Yorkshire puddings resembling rocks, though the gravy salvaged some semblance of enjoyment. While we anticipated higher prices for the quality of food expected at such an establishment, the £7.20 charge for a poorly poured Guinness and £8 for Tiramisu felt exorbitant. In conclusion, for those who have fond memories of The Orange in its previous incarnation, I advise you to let go of the past. As for anyone considering a visit, I recommend exploring other dining options in London. There are countless establishments that offer far superior experiences.

Came here with friends for Sunday lunch and was unimpressed. The staff were very rude and dismissive (no one acknowledged us for 5 mins when we arrived). The manager downstairs told us he needed the table back (which we understood) but then got annoyed we didn't leave on time (which we couldn't as he hadn't brought us our bill yet). Such a shame as the pub is nice and food is pretty good but the staff ruined our experience.

I went for breakfast with my daughter and her three week old baby on a wet Wednesday. We loved the vibe of the newly refurbished pub. The staff were universally lovely and welcoming, and the food was delicious - Italian inspired. We had flatbreads, one with stracciatella, blood orange and honey, the other with fennel sausage and roasted tomatoes; we also had toast with olive oil and marmalade and a lemon bread with mascapone topping (I’ll be back for that alone). I would highly recommend - go!

I watched my drink sit on the counter by 3 waiters for about 8 minutes until I had to eventually go and get it myself. The manager just winked at me as I did so. Booked for the festive menu and confirmed over the phone with the staff that even though it was boxing day the festive menu was still valid. Both times I was told yes. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were rudely told twice that this wasn't the case. No apologies offered, who offered no compensation, no alternative or anything was basically told it was my fault for assuming ( which wasn't the case). The al a carte menu was pretty average and had very few options. If we had known that there was no festive menu, we probably wouldn't have booked. Despite the initial issues, the staff became more friendly, the cocktails they served were really good and the food ( once we got over the lack of choice) was actually really lovely. Wouldn't go out of my way to reccommend but if you're in the area it's a pleasant option.

Booked a table for Christmas Day for a party of four, two of the party are vegetarian which was explained to the serving waiter. Main Food came out at different times and the waiter was blaming the kitchen, seasonal veg had bacon on which we explained was not mentioned on the menu , waiter took this back and we waited for more seasonal veg but came out with more potatoes and veg again with bacon. We could see there were issues with other diners, whole day was a bit shambolic to be honest and we had to give this feedback to the manager whom with all due respect to him agreed with us and apologised and said we would only be charged for the wines we had ordered. Such a shame as we were looking forward to spending our Christmas Day there and thought from reviews it would be memorable in a positive way.

We like the Orange because of the cosy atmosphere there is in the 1st floor rooms and the small room with the fireplace on the ground floor, and the quality of their food. We went there for dinner with our kids. Last time we had been was pre-Covid for lunch and we had nice souvenirs. Setting is very nice. Room upstairs. Very welcoming round table. Staff is friendly although we were told the manager would come after a complaint and he never came. Food is either very good (the pizzas and the crumble) or very bad (kid burger, beef tagliata). The kid burger is a joke: over cooked meat with just bread. No salad, no tomatoe, no sauce. The adult’s one is slightly better but not great. The beef tagliata was hard meat with some sort of salad dressing on top. We complaint. To no avail. The rice pudding brulee is a great idea but too much sugar and spices ruin it slightly. Results: we were with our kids so the evening could not be that bad. But otherwise a rather bad experience.

It can almost be the perfect Sunday / pub session - but small things can ruin the entire experience. 1. our table was upstairs / which is ok; but the room smelled like a dirty cloth was used to wipe it. 2. The cocktails took ages to arrive. 3. The service was brilliant, right up until the last waitress who was super rude in trying to get us to move before a certain time. Rather than reminding us they need the table, she tried to clear the table when lots of food was still evidently there. 4. The waiters / waitresses were jumping up the small mezzanine staircase which made awful racket. I still love this place, but that room is the worst. Downstairs, or the main first floor area only. And small tweaks on service conduct is required especially for the prices you pay here.

LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!!! The room was so incredibly cozy and designed and decorated perfectly. This is the quintessential place that you think of when you think of staying in London in a room above a pub, but it is that plus being extremely elevated! The check in process was so easy and Barnaby was so helpful and amazing through it all! When we come back to London next year, we definitely plan on staying here and spending more time in the area because there’s so much to do and see because it is perfectly located in London between Chelsea, Kensington, and Belgravia. Also, the food at the hotel was really good! The pizza is definitely a must try and the ambience in the whole area that you can sit and eat is incredible. The pub really lights up at night and so many people love to just show up and grab a beer and it is such a great crowd because it is a lot of young professionals that live in the area. This pub was very nice aesthetically and we had a delicious starter of focaccia and burrata which I highly recommend. However - drinks and general service were quite slow, pizza arrives at different times as the other meals, and for £31 the roast was very mediocre. It was lukewarm, thin gravy, dry and under-seasoned. Not the worst I've ever had but certainly not the best. Plus 15% service charge so without alcohol it still came to £50 a head!
