Nando's - Goodge Street in City of London, Westminster

Ok the sides when they arrived were fine, but everything was Luke warm/cold, as well as tough overcooked chicken. That brings this place up to 2 stars though. Otherwise it was an underwhelming experience from start to finish. Ordered on app from table. After a half hour wait had to ask for our drinks, a wine and a bottomless juice, but were delivered 2 small water glasses instead. Had to ask again, and eventually the wine appeared but never saw the bottomless glass even yet. Tbf all the food we ordered arrived correctly albeit 45 minute after ordering. Food came out on one dinner plate with multiple sides also for 2 of us dining, so had to ask a waiter for another dinner plate, which he agreed to bring but when he came back though didn’t have a plate and was serving a large table nearby. Unbeknownst to me he had delegated the task. On that went and found a plate for myself, then 5 minutes later a waitress brought the dinner plate even when she could see us now woth 2 dinner plates, albeit I accepted as didn’t want to confuse the little soul any further. The same young waitress was particularly attentive to her friends table next to us and made sure they had everything they needed repeatedly. Probably the smallest Nando’s I’ve ever eaten in and wasn’t particularly busy but speed and effectiveness of service was disappointing. I do wonder if it’s like a kind of training restaurant for staff before they get unleashed in busier and better restaurants of the chain.

I paid through the website for my order and it took my money but did not go through. The manager told me my money would come back but it still hasn’t and then I didn’t get any food and I was so hungry and could not afford to buy another meal as it took the money I had preserved for it. The manager was quite rude and I would not recommend going there just in case the same problem happens.

Normally Nando’s is a great place to go and it’s always a safe bet for reasonably priced good food however todays experience wasn’t great… First off we had to wait 10 mins for a table - which is a completely normal experience and understandable Upon ordering food we waited close to 25/30 mins for the food to arrive due to oven and staff shortages I believe. I got water from the water machine that was fully hot water and to further the peri salted chips had very little salt on them and the broccoli was not well cooked. I had finished my food before my friends food arrived which they didn’t bring her what she ordered but she just went with it as she couldn’t bare waiting another 30 mins for food Everyone around us was having to take their food to go as they were taking so long for food to arrive Not the best experience I’ve had sadly

I go to Nando's all over London and this one is undoubtedly the worst. Everything about it screams understaffing. The few employees I saw were doing their best but unfortunately it wasn't enough. There is always a ton of people just abandoned at the entrance without anyone to give them a table. Between that and the huge waiting times for food I waited 1h15 to eat. I wasn't the only one complaining about this, but I did see people who were seated after me finish their meal before I even got mine. It is evident this particular restaurant isn't well managed. It also seems to be policy to try to make up for delays with extra food, as I got 5 wings despite asking for 3 and making no indication that I wanted more food, so as an icing on the cake we also get food waste. Definitely get better management. Respect for the employees who did try their best.

Went there at lunch time and ordered on the app. Waited half an hour and eventually went up when I noticed I didn’t have any food. They had received my order but got it completely wrong I couldn’t wait any longer so got a refund and left. I have had issues with this branch a few times and have to say it’s the worst in the area. There is one a few minutes walk away with much better service. Avoid this one

I am a very big fan of nandos. I have tried in so many branches in different times, but that time i was very disappointed. We have ordered 2 burgers, but the bun was that much hard even i couldn't cut with a knife and fork. Which means it was very old. When i asked whether they do in this way? The answer was yes, which shocked me more

Dined in with my friends Sunday Night, and Chloe was the best server we’ve ever had in Nandos! She was so kind and caring with our table, and made sure that we were happy with our meal and took the best care of us all. All 5 of us kept saying this during the meal and after, so please pass our thanks to Chloe, as we left without thanking her. Thank you so much! Best, the 2 guys and 3 girls :)

I had a lovely experience while catching up with my friend after the Christmas break. Food and attention from the staff was great!

I went to Goodge street nandos with my brother that came from abroad to visit me to make him try the ultimate grilled chicken.We got in, we get seated. I open the app to order and basically just salads and burgers are available. I'm going to the till to ask information about it and I'm being told that's those are the only things left. At this point I've got two questions, why a chicken restaurant is open at all if you don't do chicken, second, it's the chicken in the burgers any different than the rest of the other chicken? Is it this chicken bred just to be in burgers? And I do understand things may run out, but at least getting an head up as soon we get in that you're working on a reduced menu? Absurd.

Had a terrible experience at this Nandos. As soon as we walked in there were loads of people waiting by the door and no staff seating anyone. So me and my friend walked a little further in to wait, as we walked in Alana or Alina started shouting for us to get back to the door and wait. We went back and she shouted 6 more times “ it’s nice to wait! Wait here, can you wait to be seated!” We were stood there and she kept shouting and shouting. The whole restaurant was staring it was very embarrassing l. Then we sat down. She came over to the table and said you must wait to be seated. I explained to her that we do understand that, and we were waiting the first time you told us too. She didn’t need to go on and on to cause a scene. We also had no where to stand. She walked off and when she passed our table and we asked if she could help us with something on the menu. “She said no I won’t help you” and walked off. I have never had such a bad experience in a restaurant. I understand customer service can be hard especially around Christmas, but that was very uncalled for and completely unacceptable. I will never be going to that Nandos ever again, which is a shame because it’s my local. Very disappointed.

Server who meets you at the front door rolled his eyes at me when I asked for a receipt (needed for work). I got the impression that he couldn't be bothered taking my order. My meal then sat on the counter for 10 minutes, I went over to ask if I could take it myself in the end as it was going cold and I was sat directly opposite. The girl said no and said she would follow me to the table with it. She brought the food without any words, or even a smile after I'd said thanks. Less than good customer service as a whole, won't be returning.

Chicken wasn't fresh as it was a bit hard. Cleanliness didn't exist. Fly's were roaming the tables, cutlery didn't look clean although the manager stated that it was from the dishwasher and how they dried! (With oil around the forks!) Manager didn't even apologize! Won't be visiting there again.

I have been a big Nandos fan. After the experience in this store, I have to admit that it has gone down hill terribly. Dry and small pieces of chicken and 50 min waiting. There are much better chicken resto nowadays.

That was a great experience, food arrived quite quickly even though it was a busy Friday afternoon time. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, especially Selina who served our table. The staff are doing loads of efforts to make this place accomodating and cosy in the middle of a busy London

As a person with health issues espeicially with gout, I find it really difficult to eat out. To my suprise the nandos on berner st was shut due to problems with their grill. Luckily goodge st was open but very busy. Upon being told we could wait up to half hour for a table the manager of the shop was willing to accomodate us albeit on a table for two but with an extra chair. [We were travelling in a three] As soon as a bigger table came clear we were able to move straight away which was fantastic. We ordered and then the manager brought us a plate of four chicken thighs to our suprise. Not sure why but this made me very happy as like i said i struggle trying to find places to eat out and they have made my experience an exceptional one. Couldnt recommend more

It is a small Nando's outlet on Goodge Street but there was space for my group of 12 people to dine at the same time. The music was very Nandosie, loved it. The walls and consequently the ambience were less characteristic but still alright. Service wasn't spectacular, just okay.

The staff and management are amazing and so polite. The best Nandos experience and always travel there. The food is cooked well and very tasty. Big up the chef's. We will be back.

Do not order a takeaway after 9pm. Ordered mine and I walk in to collect to be met by a scream from some girl saying “no chicken”. You just can’t trust this place. Might be ok in the day, I ordered 9.30 pm then went to pick up, they just cancelled order.

It’s not that Goodge St. makes it bad, Nando’s restaurant chain in general is not good, not delicious, not satisfactory.

I'm want to mention in special about Selina, is a Great worker. She's kind ,polite and the most important when she receives to costumer She's smiling and asking for allergy or intolerance. I had amazing experience. And the service is top, top. 100% Recommends. And today 31 March one week after I'm back, the manager Renee is lovely. Of course I will back, because are incredible staff, and it's really pleasure eating here.

Worst Nandos I’ve ever been to, I came on a relatively quiet day, the seating was quite crammed and the space felt tight and claustrophobic. The food took over 40 minutes to come and many of the items on the menu were unavailable or out of stock. Go to a different Nandos and save ur time

BBQ chicken tasted nasty and hard

Forgets about my order while my friend almost finished his food. Ordered together via the QR code. Disappointed. Plus there is a sour and rotten smell when I went near the kitchen to enquirer about it. DO NOT be tricked by the average rating. Go and see how the ratings plummeted in the past six months!

Had a lovely meal here. Great service, friendly staff and our food appeared very quickly. Exactly what we expected. Nothing to complain about.

Very helpful staff but woefully short of stock. The choices were not available, and the back-up suggested was later retracted as also not available. Eventual meal was reliably delicious.

How does a double chicken wrap +2 sides that cost £16.25 in January now cost £20.50?! We’ll all appreciate inflation is causing pressures, but a 26% price hike is just greed and opportunism. Shame…

After ambling along the streets of London for over an hour we stumbled apon Nando's. We were advised at the door that due to staff shortages there was a 45min wait for food. I was fine with that and we went in. We got drinks immediately and after ordering our food was with us within 20mins. A great job guys. Keep up the good work.

Normally love a nandos but this one had no chicken on a Saturday night. What they did have was going to take an hour. We walked out..

Really bad customer service. The manager is so rude. Staff doesn’t want to take your order it’s like they’re doing you a big favour and it’s not really part of their job

Nando’s in fritzovia London was very disappointing, restaurant closes at 10pm when we arrived at 9pm they said they had no food left…. Not a great experience overall especially since the whole family was looking forward to try the well known Nando’s chain.

I have just arrived at 9pm and was told it's closed. I wasn't allowed to have takeaway. Opening hours should be fixed.

This is by far the worst Nando’s experience I have ever had. The customer service… piss poor. Everything was sold out ie bottomless drinks and wings! but we were allowed to pay for it when we asked for a refund they went to get the manager, waiting over 10 minutes for any form of communication but when challenged as to getting a refund they said this was not possible. At the end we did get our refund but the process was frustrating to say the least.

Their app wasn’t working, they could serve any wraps, burgers or pittas eventhough they had them in stock, the drinks were finished and the sauces watery. I don’t know how it could get any worse.

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon, was an unplanned visit and thought I'd try a Nandos as it's been a while. This review isn't centred on the food. That sounds odd, but many are familiar with the delights at Nandos and I usually go for my standard fayre of extra hot burger, Peri chips and coleslaw. But I want to highlight real good service. It's casual dining and I know the set up is pretty basic in this part of the sector (nothing wrong with that) but service was very attentive and friendly.

Perfect service by the kind and welcoming staff. You can order through a QR code on your table as well as pay without any fuss.

Lovely staff and very good food. I loved the frozen yogurt. The yogurt, as well as the soft driks are reffilable.

I was in the area saw the sign for the spiced chick pea burger, I decided to order one to go with some peas. One of the best things I had. Besides I want to mention how welcoming everyone was and Barbi the manager, sweet and kind ... great experience!!!!

Nandos is one of those places that is not surprising, although it meets expectations. the chicken dressings are quite good, although we are not big fans of this type of cuisine. A very good attention that raised our assessment of the dinner

Usually give a cheeky 5 but this place is not worth the extra star It was a visit to Nando’s with a group of friends for lunch. Food: Decent overall but my half-chicken was far too small, compared to chickens I’ve had in other Nando’s, disappointing really, because it was really good as always. Service: Brilliant and kind. Verdict: Give me bigger chicken - gains don’t feed themselves.

Food was average. We ordered the butterfly chicken and it was quite dry. Fries were good and coleslaw was average. It was pretty crowded with hardly any distance between tables. Felt uncomfortable at first and had to move to another table . Service was good. Music was a bit loud.

Shorted staffed, and the staff are forgetfull. My mate ordered a butterfly chicken burger then they came over 15 min later and said they didnt do them

Not much to say. It's a Nando's. Good peri peri chicken. It's kind of between a fast food place and a proper restaurant. Prices to match, not expensive but definitely not cheap either. It's just chicken. But it has a good variety of options and their hot sauces are pretty nice. I like the vibe of the place.

Complicated to order food while in the restaurant. Since the internet connection isn't so good you need to log in their wifi. This is still fine. Then, you will need to scan for the menu, which is understandable. Then, you can order your food, but just for fun, you are required to register an account with nandos first. Then, you need to add your bank details. Then only, you can order the food. A quicker way is just to get a waiter to take your order, and pay by tapping your bank card. They cannot justify that this is 'not safe' because the staff is handling the food anyways.

Very good welcoming, but you need to register online to order and for payment...food and service was good, price is ok.
