We came to Bath for a couple of days getaway and having eaten out at various places on previous trips here we decided to give the restaurant at our favourite hotel (Apex) a try. On the first night the food was so good and the table service was very attentive - we felt very well looked-after! So we decided to return to the restaurant another day and booked the Cote de Boeuf platter - they need 24 hours notice to prepare the half-a-cow's worth of beef on the bone. The beef was cooked perfectly to our preference (rare). Everything was so nice we decided to have a pudding too - an earl grey panna cotta and the sticky toffee pudding went down very well after such a decadent main!

Dined here for Breakfast whilst staying at the Apex hotel. Breakfast times 7-10.15am Monday-Friday and 7.30-10.45am Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast was £16.50 per person and includes a selection of juices, pastries, granola and fruit salad, and then you pick a hot option which is cooked to order. Hot options include Eggs Royal/Benedict, Full English, avocado on toast with scrambled eggs. Also hot drinks included Nice to have your hot breakfast cooked to order and nice atmosphere but wonder if £16.50 is a little steep for the local area. I might recommend dining here on one or two mornings but perhaps trying some of the local Bath restaurants for Brunch as well rather than having breakfast here every morning

Our hotel stay was excellent Breakfast was 10/10 But come our evening meal which we ordered the Cote de Boeuf for 2 Asked for it to be cooked medium red no blood Unfortunately the chef cremated it and it came out well done Dry and tough Was absolutely disappointed with it We left under half of it and the sides Made our complaints to the waiter, who said that to have no blood that’s how the steak needed to be cooked Which to my discuss is absolutely ridiculous We were offered to complement free drinks for an apology We walked away £135 lighter and empty stomachs The children meals were lovely Such a shame as ruined our experience

Given they advertise Afternoon Tea on their menu you’d think they’d know how to do it. 3 measly finger sandwiches which were from the fridge and cakes which were all so sweet they tasted the same. My recommendation would be for them to take it off their menu. They’d be doing everyone a favour.

Stayed at the hotel so booked dinner on the first evening. Was not provided with the fixed price menu but had to request it. Food average and restaurant more suitable for breakfast.

Overpriced food from a lackluster kitchen. Hotel it’s in is fine but don’t dine in here, go to Square or Bills. Steak was chewy and unpleasant, got two pieces of calamari with the whitebait and calamari.

We had our Christmas party here and it was a disaster. Too many people on each table so uncomfortably close. Food over an hour late, our table by the door that wafts cigarette stench every 5 mins, didn’t get any bread or coffee like every other table. Soup arrived in a right state and looked inedible. Turkey came with one undercooked potato. Chocolate tart was somehow basic and covered in marmalade. Wine choice very cheap and tasted gross. Tables weren’t cleared for hours, staff miserable and DJ only played requests so some pretty horrendous song choices. Would never return.

We had dinner inside the hotel due to bad weather. It was a quiet night and the staff was very attentive. The food served was piping hot likely due to the smaller number of tables to serve. The pasta was tasty. While the grilled cod was average, the flat iron steak stood out as a true culinary delight. Desserts were satisfying too. While the prices were on the higher side, the food exceeded our expectations.

I stayed at the Apex for 5 days with Breakfast included. Each day the wait got longer and long waiting for our food and hit drinks. Then everytime our food came it was either cold, very tiny enough for a small child or burnt! Very unacceptable!

'Charcuterie board' was literally sliced sandwich cheese and salami from a supermarket! Noodles were in a sea of sweet sauce that I think was from a jar. Service was very pleasant, food unfortunately not of the right standard.

The food was delicious. Everything was well cooked, hot and just what we were after following a busy day. Would highly recommend. The service was lovely too...very attentive and kind.

We decided to eat in the hotel for our first evening and we were the only people in there for most of the night. This meant we had fabulous service from the waiter, who was friendly and chatty but also gave us space. The restaurant itself is large and contemporary, and in-keeping with the rest of the hotel. The food was tasty (we both had steak which was a special that evening) although the menu choice was a little lacking. I'm lactose intolerant so the pudding selection in particular was limited (just the addition of a sorbet would be good), although the cocktail selection was excellent! Overall, I would recommend the restaurant - especially for those who are staying at the hotel.

Oh my gosh, whats with all the bad reviews??? This is PERFECT. I love the smokehouse style food, but loathe the smoke flavour. It gives me a headache. This did not do that. Theres no intense smokey flavour to mask the flavour of the meat. All of you guys, imo, are just hooked on flipping bbq sauce up thr wazoo. Bbq sauce has its time and place, ok? But this did not need that sauce slapped all over ot. Its cooked beautifully, portion sizes are amazing, everything was juicy and flavourful without the need for piles and piles of bbq sauce. This place is great if you just crave a bit of well cooked, well seasoned, and, in the ribs case - well sauced, meat. Im begging everyone to see the glory that is well cooked meat. Bbq sauce isnt a seasoning. This stuff is better than that. I see that there is a photo option, and I wildly regret not taking photos of this incredible spread of meat, fries, chicken wings, burgers, chips, corn on the cob, onion rings, oh my god and the RIBS. Ill let you in on a little secret - I had this delivered to me, on UberEats, and let me tell you it was like a foodie treasure hunt. Rifling through the bags to find the next delight. "Ooh found a bit of corn, awesome" to "oh siiiick, got the pulled pork." When I opened the ribs, I gasped. What a beautiful rack of ribs. The sauce on that was absolutely spectacular. I definitely detected tomato undertones in the sauce, which made it significantly more pallettable than ribs drenched in straight-up bbq sauce. Overall, this was an incredible experience for my taste buds and my belly - the portion sizes were incredible. I got the super mega combo, (aka: The BBQ Tower) which was a greeat spread of food. I have no idea how many its mesnt to serve and I dont want to know as I unabashedly finished off at least half of everything because it was SO FLIPPIN GREAT. TLDR: Meat great. Carbs great. Balance taste good. Me likey. Please try BBQ Tower.

Me and my family often pop over to bath for a Nando’s meal , but this time was different, we got to the restaurant at 11.25 under the impression from previous visits it opened at 11.30am We waited outside till opening time 11:30am At 11:35 my wife with my daughter approached the restaurant and went inside to be told it didn’t open until 12oclock and felt it was quite rude in the way she was told this. We decided not to wait over 20mins to be let inside as we had our young son with us so went on back home. I decided to look online at Nando’s opening times to see it was actually saying open and open from 11.30am until 10pm. I really felt like the staff just didn’t want to service us until they was ready to do so being 12oclock which is a shame as we did like coming for a cheeky Nando’s whilst in bath. From this experience we won’t be returning. Think staff need some training on honesty to customers.

Lovely Swedish cafe. Had the cinnamon bun and a cappuccino. They were delicious and the staff were very friendly. I sat in and it had a lovely cozy atmosphere. Very relaxed. Nice to slow down. Fika indeed! Will definitely visit again to try their other pastries, sandwiches and wraps.

I have managed to try most of their fabulous products. Everything is fresh, tasty & great value. Steak pasty is superb. Chicken gyros on a Wednesday is a treat. Sandwiches & rolls are packed with fresh fillings. Great service & highly recommended.
