Terrible mini fry.. ordered scrambled eggs and no beans.. oh well, scrambled eggs from hell..the server was embarrassed to serve it but wouldn't replace them..

Food here is absolutely disgusting. Wouldn’t eat here before you fly as you’re likely to feel rough for the whole journey. Paid nearly £20 for a pizza that I’m almost certain was a smart price frozen pizza, really ought to be ashamed of themselves

Went here this morning for breakfast. Service was awful, one breakfast came waiter 40 mins for a porridge. When the food came it was awful and cold. Tea and coffee even were worst I’ve had. Female member of staff was unfriendly, unapologetic and threw the bowl down. The porridge was like cement . Day of visit 26th of August. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Worst food and service I have ever had in an airport.

Don’t waste your time in the queue. This place is terrible.

Eighteen pound for a burnt pizza. The same frozen pizza that costs £4 from Asda. Insanity. Save your money and get something before the airport, or go to Costa/WHSmith.

Truly awful restaurant, capitilising on a customer base that has to eat in there and using it as an excuse for extortionate prices, tiny portions and terrible quality food. The service was the only aspect that was to an acceptable standard. The atmosphere is non-existant, the tables are sticky and the place is dirty. Absolute daylight robbery!!

Don’t waste your time and money, go to Costa if you’re hungry. Rude and miserable staff Had to wait at least 40 mins for food, that’s after checking with staff after 30 mins because our flight was about to board Food impossible to eat, dry and impossible to chew bacon, dry and disgusting looking beans, Full English Breakfast for £14.94 and small one for £7.95. Rip-off. No wonder everyone’s eating Costa sandwiches in the waiting area😂

Nice chilled place for a drink or food. Sadly the latter is non existent if you are vegan. They advertised vegan sausage baps for breakfast, but on ordering told they don't have these just the meat ones. Funny they would not run out of the meat version. So basically nothing we could eat. These folks don't like/want/care for those on a vgn diet. Will avoid

We thought that we'll have to spend 3 hours waiting for the flight alone because costa coffee was closed but had a nice surprise with this bar!

Staff are awful. They close earlier than advertised. Kitchen closes early. Avoid

One of the most expensive airport full English breakfasts I've had and by far the worst tasting. Cheap ingredients, didn't even season the one half, yes one half of tomato. And only one sausage! Wasn't told the coffee machine wasn't working so when I was still about to be charged £3.50 for a scoop of instant coffee, I asked for a refund on the coffee. The waitress seemed really put out by this, maybe should've advised first!!

Quite long wait for salad. £16.

Worst breakfast we have ever had at a very high price.All was only warming.Sausage like cardboard.Tasted like a second hand breakfast Had to ask for lid on teapot even though we had a young baby with us. My advice, go to the Range where full breakfast is only £5.99, you get much more, (14.95 in the Olive tree).Weren’t even asked how the breakfast was.I suppose don’t ask in fear of getting a response they expect. Also little baby knives are given out for adults to eat with. Won’t be buying from here again!

Service utterly slow, quality of food poor, wrong dish registered and served and relatively expensive.

Quick bite to eat before a flight. Service was good and food arrived after a short wait. I had the macaroni cheese and garlic bread with added crispy bacon. Pleasantly surprised, tasted good, lots of cheese, well seasoned and the bacon was crispy but still had flavour. Would say, for the price (£19, with a coke) the portion size was disappointedly small and I was left wanting more to eat.

Absolute rip off. I paid £16 for a chicken Caesar salad that was a small starter size at best. The photo doesn’t do it justice as the fork is also small. Literally about 4 mouthfuls and I was still hungry. I ordered a chicken ceasar salad on my way home at another UK airport, it was £14 and 4x the size so it’s not expensive airport prices. This restaurant in particular is ripping people off and taking advantage of them being the only restaurant there. For £16 I’d expect a proper main course. I won’t be dining there again.

The restaurant is closed at 20.00 but announcing everywhere to be open until 21, there are no actualization or updates online also on menu or announcement. I was forced to leave hungry to my ling journey cause of this terrible experience

Service slow, pricey small portions. ceaser salad just covered base of a soup bowl and cost £13.50, no sign of any dressing

The chicken burger was almost raw, but they did change it for a cooked one.......when i asked .

great drinks, really friendly service from the people that were working behind the bar and generally nice place.

If you like your cooked breakfast to look bland, undercooked and served cold...this is the place for you, oh and no brown sauce. Orange juice was ok...costa next time

Not sure why the reviews are so low, staff lovely. Food exceptional for a pub (esp airport). Recommend the pizza, Caesar salad and the pulled pork chips. Absolutely lovely!

Not sure where the negative reviewers ate ? I've been here twice now and every time staff have been charming, polite and accommodating. The kitchen have allowed us to add desired pizza toppings to the listed pizzas without issue and all of our food was delivered fast, fresh and with a smile ! Portions and prices were very reasonable and I can't compliment the service enough ! 😁

Well , You only have to look at customer reviews to realize The Olive Tree restaurant are not delivering on minimum service standards. Low quality high-turnover food, not freshly prepared nor heated, with small portion sizes and indifferent service are common themes that markedly impoverish the customer experience Does the ‘vision’ strategy for the airport include enriching this experience by the enforcement of minimum service standards ? What efforts are being made on this front ? According to reviews , none of which are responded to , zero ! This is a restaurant with no interest in repeat custom consistently ripping off their ‘one-off’ customers with free license and no apparent controls in place to the wholesale indifference of the airport management To avoid disappointment you are best advised to buy a sandwich downstairs

Unfriendly staff member serving. Lack of manners. No 'pleases' or 'thank you'. Had the ability of making the customer feel like a burden for being there and clearly didn't want to be working - it was all too hard for them to provide some good customer service and possess basic good manners. Very slow service. Overall zero customer service. One redeeming grace was food was good when it eventually arrived.

Ordered food, arrived cold and clearly from old cooking that was left over within minutes... extremely rude bar staff (female) who huffed off before saying "I'll get remove for you". 2 mins later - arrived again, shoved on the table. No apology. Awful.

The pizza tasted like fuel, probably the chemical that builds up at the bottom of the propane canister or incomplete combustion...if this issue is sorted the pizza will be great 😃

The young woman at the bar was very friendly and there are plugs by some of the tables but unfortunately the praise must stop there. My chips were very salty and fried hollow with a tiny splodge of chilli beef on top. The young lady who brought the food to my table did so by plonking the bowl on the table and walking off without a smile or a word.

£7.50 a pint. Has gone up massively. Used to be quite reasonable. Now a rip off. Won't take cash.

This is for the Olive Cafe Bar. Food looked terrible, they somehow figured out how to make Nestlé instant coffee worse than it already is. There's a Costa upstairs - go there.

I can't believe they only have a 2.4 star rating! We have just had a pre flight lunch and everyone in our family was very pleased. We were a bit late for the full English. The chilli was really fresh, a little heat, and a good size portion. Mac & cheese was "comfortably filling" according to my wife. Garlic bread was delicious. Everyone loved their burgers! The guy that served us was really friendly.

Don't bother with the £16 chilli... portion size of the chilli is tiny, like 1-2 egg cups in size. Photo shows the 4" diameter chilli bowl filled to depth of 1cm!

Staff seemed like they hated their life. I'm guessing they don't get paid much and have no job satisfaction. Quick service, but I was pretty much the only person with food. My haddock was overcooked.. no excuse for that when im the only person 9n here eating. The chips, however, were perfect. Very expensive for basic frozen food. £7.50 for a pint of Guinness, which tasted ok. I guess you can get away with not being good when you're the only restaurant in an airport departure area!

Nice staff. The food and drinks are severely overpriced. The pint cost around £7. The veggie pie cost £15.50. It didn't taste great and the mashed potato was dry and clearly had been sitting for a long time. Definitely not worth it and would not choose to eat here again.

Every time I give this place a chance I am reminded why I shouldn't. Even when it's quiet, you'll wait over an hour for a salad. 4 times i've gone in 2 hours before a flight departure, 3 of those times had to chase the order and rush it before being the last passenger to board the plane, the other time I had to cancel it altogether and go on without a meal. This is with less than 10 folk in the place. Better off getting a sandwich from the shop.

Heineken 0% is £7.20. Basic burger is £18

The lady I think her name was Kim in olive tree was amazing and very friendly I recommend her 100%

Very expensive ......closed about an hour before our flight was due to leave at 7:50 pm......no food available only crisps, etc......

Pretty sure the pizzas are the Chicago town ones with the tomato sauce crust, except they cost £15. Taste decent but they’re better when I make them at home.

At peak times this restaurant is very cramped and uncomfortable. The food is distinctly average, but does the job.

8 pound for 1 of each sausage eg bacon beans an tomato. Was actually very nice. But how they have the nerve to call that a traditional breakfast god only knows.

Food was okay, bar staff were friendly but the young man who brought me food basically flung it at me, I lost 3 chips in the process. He also had a bloody elbow that wasn’t covered

Ordered a “full works” baguette, when it turned up! well what can i say more like Half a baguette with a cold scabby bit of bacon and a poor excuse for a sausage in it i was absolutely disgusted, couldn’t even moan at the staff as it’s not there fault how there told to do things, never again!!!!!!

Good thing the kitchen is closed at 8pm!!!! Reading other reviews I haven’t missed much. But what business that wants to make money closes the kitchen in their right mind on a Friday at 8pm?!?!?!? Shocking...

Great staff. You could see they were busy but they still delivered possibly best fish I've tasted.

Perfect stop for a drink and food before taking your flight. The best option from what’s available which is probably why you can’t recognise a sense of urgency or care from staff. Due to the lack of competition. Food menu is extremely basic but what more do you need for a quick airport stop.

Want a £11 burger and be disappointed look no further meant to be Irish beef tastes worst than McDonald's burgers soaks up the beer tho geez

Part of the journey experience... Breakfast Menu stops at 1100 a.m. ...please advertise this on your on line menu to avoid disappointed customers...or extend availability? How about direct line telephone number for enquiries?

This place is awful. Food is dire. Music system is tinny and totally inappropriate music. Service is slow and tables were cluttered and dirty. The worst airport restaurant I’ve ever experienced. One star is generous.

Food is good and atmosphere very relaxing

The food was nice but the portion size for the price paid was lacking, and the beer prices were excessive, understandly it's due to "Airport Pricing". The staff were friendly enough.

Really pricey poor quality food... anything is a better option. Bring or buy a pack sandwich as even the chips are bad here.

The calamaris is delicious! Very good for a quick meal

Wetherspoons without the customer service, expected the airport prices. Not impressed with staff, on holiday with group of lads and they choose to serve others before myself because "you're with them mate", regardless of me waiting 15 minutes for a bacon baguette. Even after questioning it I have to still wait without getting served, as if the queue doesn't matter in this country anymore.

Sticky tabletop and creaky table and seat. Friendly staff member. My 'freshly squeezed' orange juice was warm and from a bottle on the counter. Eat before you arrive at the airport.

Trying hard in a busy airport lunchtime environment. My Calamari were overcooked to the point of needing a steak knife. Mentioned it to Marine, my server who wanted to replace it, but the Calamari moment had passed. After talking to her manager I was presented with a good glass of Chardonnay and a promise that the chef would be suitably advised. (Tiny squid need seconds in the pan not 15 minutes..... So I was doing the chef a favour too.) Calamari 1star Maxine and her manager 5.

Only had a couple points whilst waiting for my flight. Super busy, and tables/bar really should have been bused better. But the pleasantness of the staff, and quick service with a big smile compelled me to give the 4th star.

Fine cup of tea but the breakfast was small and disappointing. I ordered eggs benedict which came with a tiny amount of hollandaise sauce and a muffin that had been "toasted" with the ham already on top, soggy muffin, dry ham, solid yolks... Bring your own packed breakfast or order a bacon sandwich
