The beef mushroom pie and lamb Yorkshire pudding are delicious!

Exceptional food and a Pie to die for, came back twice only to eat that again. Overall nice cozy ambience and good staff training!

We have now made it a tradition to have dinner at weavers before seeing the panto at the Marlowe. We have done this now for the last 3 years. Food is always so lovely, delicious and portions are always so generous. It's such a lovely restaurant in a lovely old building. There's a lot of choice on the menu. We've tried a number of dishes over the years and they've all been amazing. Puddings are so delicious too. We highly recommend this restaurant. They were also running a promotion this year when you got a percentage off the bill if you showed your pantomime tickets which was a lovely surprise for us. Staff have always been so lovely and friendly here and we will be booking in for dinner again before our next trip to see the panto.

Usually pretty good. Very busy Christmas day...we went for lunch as reasonably priced. Had to wait ages. Staff were lovely but clearly run off their feet. Menu choice good but I had duck and potatoes and it came without any veg... Just a little salad for decoration... Weird! Atmosphere is always good... lovely mix of customers and friendly staff. An eclectic decor!

Beautiful old building that creates an attractive ambiance. The service was attentive, correct and adequate. The food was fine. Unfortunately, we were in a place where we were very bothered by drafts when the door opened and closed.

Value for money was exceptional. The perfect place to go for Christmas dinner. Food was delicious and huge portions, even for the children. A gorgeous, cosy and traditional pub/restaurant. Highly recommend.

Izzy, my waitress was great! She was attentive and friendly. I found the food a bit too salty for my tastebuds but it was still an enjoyable meal. Great atmosphere, too.

We tried the leek and rosemary pie and it was absolutely delicious. Hina was very helpful and a very warm server. Must visit!

Incredibly tasty food! I had the lamb chump and shared a camembert fritter with my partner. The food was amazing. Yes it is a tad pricy, but you definitely get what you pay for! The inside of the place is very quirky with loads of clocks on the walls, so a little cuckoo happens every now and then which is fun :) Staff was good and came around quickly when needed, and the cocktail I had was also very nice

Lovely olde worlde restaurant in the very centre of Canterbury. The building dates back to the 16th century and the interior has lots of wood beams, suits of armour etc, so very atmospheric. Food was excellent, especially the duck and cherry sauce, with delicious pomme dophinoise. Our waitress, Hina, was brilliant and made sure we had a wonderful time at the Weavers. It was our 1st time, but we'll be back soon!

Very nice Tudor style restaurant, very busy due to the time of year I assume. Food was ok, I think for the amount of staff to the amount of customers meant food was late to the table and had been left warming somewhere which made it a little overcooked. We had the risotto as it was the only thing on the Christmas menu for vegetarians and the drinks were very expensive. Nice evening out but I doubt I'd go there again.

Visited the Old Weavers this weekend for a Christmas meal, the set menu was delicious, loved the camembert and the turkey crown. All the staff were lovely, our waitress Elizabeth was great!

Visited with a group of friends food was good and we were served by Elizabeth who was great and made sure we were always checked on and was very attentive. Great service and good food.

I had a great experience at The Old Weavers Restaurant in Canterbury. The duck and apricot pie I ordered was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The service was amazing too. Tarnie, our waitress, was so friendly and helpful. She even recommended some great places to visit in town while I was here. Definitely a place I’d visit again!

Early evening meal with friends. The food was really good . Big menu to choose from. We all had something different. The service was prompt and friendly . Didn't have to ask for more drinks. The waitress was always checking if we were ok . Recommend if you got theatre tickets as it's a short walk from the Marlow theatre.

Hina Mustana is very professional, at the same time very friendly and good at her job. Her service is excellent.

Book early, as you won't get in. Queues were out the door. The food is lovely, traditional English food and warming on a winter day. Plenty of choice. Good size portions and great value for money. The atmosphere in an old house converted to a restaurant is charming (an old fashioned word, but exactly right). Looking forward to a return visit. I marked down the service a little as it was so busy they naturally were a little slow at the beginning.

Very classic place, the food is very well served, good size portions, very well prepared, the starters are good, they are served quickly as they should be, the main dishes also came out at a good time, and the waiters are very efficient and fast, but The best thing is that they are very friendly! The place is very old and that is the best, only that there are items that look dirty and neglected, I think they should improve that

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. The atmosphere is cozy, It is beautifully decorated, and was a great experience. We ordered the steak and mushroom pie and veg soup, and both were amazing. I wish i lived here so i could come all the time and I will be trying to replicate this meal at home!!!

We had a table for 7 and everything ran so smoothly. The staff were friendly and professional and the food was absolutely stunning. Huge portion sizes! We will be back I am sure and would highly recommend.

Lovely atmosphere and the service was excellent it's a shame the food doesn't match. We were looking forward to eating here as it had a lot of good reviews but we're let down. We had the lamb roast but the meat was really processed and chewy not fresh off the joint and the bannoffe pie not up to par.

Really delicious sitting down to eat! Nice cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff, if you also spend less than 30 pounds (delicious steak, dessert and a nice drink), I think that's a plus! 5 stars and I don't just give 5 stars!

went here for dinner for my birthday, such amazing food and our server Tarnie was so sweet and amazing! They even got a birthday candle and sang for me! I felt incredibly special! We will definitely be back again! xx

Have been eating in Old Weavers every few weeks for quite a number of years now with my dad and the kids.... Since we first went in we won't go anywhere else!! Firstly the atmosphere and decor are both superb, real old feel and some fantastic and also obscure decor which really add to the relaxed atmosphere!! The staff are always super friendly and make you feel very welcome. The outdoor area is lovely in the summer months too, food is amazing!! All cooked perfectly and very fresh.... The homemade pies are absolutely the best pies I've ever tasted and they have quite a selection of fillings, accompanied by their homemade chips which are delicious!!

My meal was horrible... Starter of brie bites was smothered in sauce so the batter was soggy and it was cold The mains of fish pie,I couldn't eat. The fish still had skin on which was slimy and despite my best efforts It was too fiddly to take each bit of skin off each piece of fish. The server harassed us towards the end of our meal. While drinking coffees and chatting she came over 7 times, each time interrupting our conversation to ask for a single glass or table wear she wanted to take away. Eventually before we'd even finished our drinks we asked for the bill at which point she must have been able to leave because we didn't see her again after that. The setting was nice but not nice enough to ever go back to this place

Service was a bit sluggish and the food took its time to arrive. Seats are a little close together. Food itself was nice, and generous portions.

Booked a table at lunchtime. Really great roast beef. Generous plate of food. Had banofee pie, delicious! Quirky decor inside too. Waiting staff busy but still attentive. Will defo return.

Centennial restaurant, very well preserved. A return to time that exceeded expectations. One of the best meats we ate on our 2024 trip.

Apparently, the restaurant is a benchmark due to its location and age. We have eaten a lunch menu at an affordable price, taking into account that it is a very touristy place and you pay in pounds..

Traditional eatery located in the second oldest building in Canterbury with delicious food and a cosy atmosphere. We were looked after by Hina who made us feel very welcome.

Such a fun and atmospheric location! We were seated immediately and ordered two pies- the Guinness and beef and the lamb and apricot and my husband and I shared the chips, vegetables, and onion rings. The pies were amazing- piping hot and the pastry was lovely and flakey. Both had a good portion of meat and were very filling. The veg was surprisingly lovely with a bit of cream sauce it was delicious. The onion rings were good, crispy and not oily. The chips were the only thing I thought could have been improved. They were ok but definitely were under a heater for a little bit so went a bit dry and cold- not my fav. We also ordered the banoffee pie and the treacle pudding- both were very nice, particularly the treacle pudding- not too sweet and a perfect portion. The service was quick and attentive. Our server was Hina- she was very helpful! I would definitely come back for pies and dessert again.

We where in canterbury for a day and a night, we had a lovely evening meal at this traditional restaurant, with top service from Hina our waitress for the evening who took great care of our needs.

Went in for food last week, had tower of canterbury was the best burger i’ve had in a while, served by Elizabeth who was lovely and smiley and was more than happy to help with out wine queries

The food is absolutely amazing. The pie is so good. I don’t like burgers but the burgers are so good. The inside is so nice. Tatarnie is so sweet.
