The Old Weavers Restaurant in Canterbury

Having the opportunity to eat (very well) on a terrace by the water is a great thing about a pub! The terrace has a lot of charm and adds a big plus to an already very good meal!

We visited today! Food was amazing and Hina was very friendly!

It was along the canal and had a great atmosphere! There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was very delicious. Thank you Hina-san for your pleasant customer service☺️

The Old Weavers was such a lovely place to stop for lunch, they have tables right by the river. Our waitress Hina was so lovely as well, excellent service! ❤️

I was on a day tour from London and this place was recommended. Absolutely amazing. I got the fried Camelet cheese as a starter and the chicken mushroom pie. Defibrillator coming back next trip.

My husband and I had an amazing late lunch yesterday! We sat outside by the river, which was lovely. The steak and guinness pie was absolutely amazing and my husband swears that the calamari is the best he’s ever had! Our server, Dee, was so lovely. Her friendly and helpful attitude made our experience all the more special 🥰

We walked in for starters and drinks around noon. We were turned away!!! So rude!!!! Really disappointed as we were visiting from the US And this is a very traditional looking place.

We enjoyed a fantastic dining experience. I had the lamb and apricot weaver pie and it was delicious. Others in our party had the lamb shank and the chicken & mushroom weaver pie. Dee was our server & she is amazing. She was attentive & patient as we made tried to decide what to eat. The place is filled with interesting items on the walls. It feels like you’re stepping back in time. I highly recommend it!

The food here is absolutely so awesome hasn’t had these amazing seafood for a while. Thank you so much for satisfying my stomach that much. And the service and enthusiasm from Hina here rlly added credit to my experience.

Unexpectedly delicious, especially recommend the duck apricot pie and fried chicken steak burger. The decoration is extremely unique and worth a visit.

Excellent chop house. Delicious and generous serving of lamb chops. Great service (Izzy). Good beer selection, though perhaps could use more real ales.

When we were there for vacation over the summer it was the best food of our trip. We went there for dinner twice and were not disappointed! Ines was very helpful and all of the staff was friendly and accommodating

Delicious food, me and my partner both had one of their pies, which they offer a huge variety of. They are the style of a puff pastry top rather than traditional style but the amount of filling was amazing, and really beautifully cooked. Service was fast and friendly, we will be coming back!

We enjoyed this place so much that we ate here on two out of our three evenings in Canterbury! Excellent service from the lovely Hina and all of her colleagues. And everything we ate was delicious. Will definitely return if we’re in Canterbury again in the future.

The food and ambiance are very cool, 15th century pub with authentic interior. Hina served us and she was so friendly and welcoming, definitely made the experience amazing!

The food was amazingg!! We had the valentine's menu for £30 per person and absolutely loved it. The portion size were generous and the food was delicious❤️ it's definitely worth visiting!!

We really enjoyed our dinner. Inspite of late hour booking due to evening activities and the fact we were the only ones in the restaurant, Elizabeth and Ahmed were awesome, hospitable, helpful, professional. Thank you! We shall return.

What a fabulous find! Everything about this restaurant is right, the atmosphere, the first class service and, of course, the food. Cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. If l could give it 10 stars, it still wouldn't be enough.

Very authentic British style restaurant and good food. The waiter in charge of our area, Alí, treated us phenomenally. Very good garlic bread and also the shrimp. The steak was good although the meat could be a little better 😉

Beautiful old building which houses this quaint restaurant. It's in the centre of Canterbury and next to a river and if you look carefully you can see a ducking chair (used to duck witches in the past). The food was great - well prepared and tasty. They also have a good value set menu too. Good service also

Taking the train back to London from Dover, My daughters and I decided to stop in Canterbury and have dinner. We did a Google search for restaurants in the area and saw the old Weaver’s restaurant. It was very intriguing, the history behind it, so we chose to eat there. The atmosphere was amazing. The service was wonderful. It was like stepping back into time. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food, service and environment - all more than excellent! I didn't expect the friendly and passionate staff member of the house and the overall experience was terrific for me and my partner! What's more - not surprised for the tasty food but definitely amazed by the portion of food! We were all satisfied!
