Excellent venue, busy so parking was a few hundred metres away

Arrived to an overflowing carpark and a absolutely packed bar. It was impossible to see where the restaurant was, turned out to be at the back of the packed bar. No one to greet on arrival. Didn't appear to be sufficiently staffed for the amount of business. Having found the wait here to be seated, we waited, and waited, several wait staff passed by, one said be with you in a moment. Having a 1930 booking and arriving at 1928 our table wasn't ready. We were told to grab a drink at the bar. The solidly packed bar, the correct response would be can we get you a drink while you take a seat. Restaurant was as busy as the bar every table taken. Menu was varied and order placed (after a wait), there was a wait for everything, take the order, deliver the food. The desserts were taking forever to arrive and we were almost the last people seated. I chased the desserts and they had been forgotten. Later when requesting the bill, we were told the desserts were complimentary due to the wait. This was appreciated. The food was nicely presented, hot, but I felt small portions. Maybe we visited on a bad day, but it just didn't make my day.

Car park opposite. Twelve of us had booked a table for a Thursday lunchtime, we pre-ordered our food choices. Very pleasant staff and my food was top quality. Other friends in the group said that their peas were hard! My butter chicken curry and side salad were superb, finished off with tasty butterscotch ice-cream.

Bit expencive and over rated apart from food thev got nothing else to offer

We all went on a Sunday and had the best roast. I had the vegan roast delicious. We were sat by the door where everyone was coming in and waiting by the bar thats why I gave 4 stars. I guess someone has to sit there

Mathew, Luke and the staff did a lovely job for the Wake for my Aunties funeral yesterday, the food was excellent and they went above and beyond to accomodate a Vegan which I had no idea about , so thank you all you did a brilliant job.

Best pub in the north Northamptonshire area. Lovely food and drink with friendly staff. Couldn't ask for anything more.

We had a table for 10 and it was ready as soon as we arrived. Service was spot on and the food was delicious. They were really busy but you wouldn't have known it as everything seemed perfect. Would highly recommend going here.

A characterful village pub. Made very welcome on arrival for a pre booked lunch. Quickly served with drinks. Good choice of menu, with majority of food locally sourced. Several of us ordered mushroom risotto, ( did not want salad with it.) Staff happily amended our order to include peas. Food came in really hot plated, it was very hot and tasty. One of us enjoyed a home made steak and ale pie, again hot and tasty. Good size portions. Despite the pub being busy we did not wait long. Would certainly recommend and hopefully we will be back.

Busy pub but good service meant orders were taken promptly & food served without long waits. Relaxed atmosphere as lots of space between tables, so not too noisy.

Wow, oh wow! Certain places tick all the boxes, but only a limited few tick them all of the time.From entering to leaving, the service was first class. The food was awesome! Comfortable seating and great atmosphere. Loved it!

Saturday night dinner with friends . Great food , staff, atmosphere , what more could you ask for ! Also large car park and lovely garden and front patio area for the summer months . It is also dog friendly in the bar area . Definitely recommend .

Lightning fast service, and a delicious chicken & bacon pie of the day that exceeded all expectations, followed by an equally delectable jam roly poly dessert that we shared. Exemplary. Given the low price, I almost ordered a second helping of the main!

well knew this place was here but never been before, booking was easy arrived all staff very friendly, got seated and ordered our meal, service was great, nothing was a problem, i did have a slight problem with my starter the salsd came with a balsamic dressing but i do not eat vinegar, they replaced this immediately, the main was also fantastic such a lovely relaxed hub felt really welcome food brilliant we will definately come here again. top marks Olde Vic

Visited on the Sat at 1pm and was very busy even at that time which proves a lot. Restaurant was full but only wanted a bar meal. Sat at one of the few remaining seats in the bar. Ordered at the bar and was served after about 20 mins which was amazing considering how busy it was. Meals could not be faulted and the atmosphere in the pub was great. Would recommend 👍

This was our second visit in as many weeks and on both occasions we were more than happy with the meals and service provided. The menu has adequate choices from basic pub grub to something a little different, with a resonable pricing structure. We have enjoyed the Duo of Duck, Braised Beef, Gammon and fish and chips. The first visit was on a Tuesday when ususally restaurants are deserted, it was about a quarter full and had a good atmosphere, plesantly surprised. Our latest visit was a Friday and it was packed, however, the staff managed well and service was good, as was the food. We arrived at 6.45pm and the bar area was packed with after work drinkers, but we were shown to our table in the restaruant so no issue with seating. The car parking was a little more difficult as the car park was full overflowing into the street. I would suggest booking in advance for weekend meals and leave a little time to find parking if it's a busy time. Outside seating is good, but obviously not at this time of year!!!

We booked a table of 11 and pre-ordered our food, which was delivered piping hot and all together. The staff were friendly, polite and attentive. Great food, great value. Highly recommended

We have been to olde Victoria many times for our "date nights" . We started with pork scratching nibbles which were delicious. As were the ham egg egg chips and pie we had for our main. We had the profiteroles for pudding. This was over cooked and so quite dry. The carmel ice cream I had was scrummy it was the first time we sat in lounge bar area - it was the only place we could book - people were pushing past and knocking in to my chair, and it was so loud at times we struggled to hear ourselves talk. despite the food it really spoilt the experience. We live and learn and If the bar lounge is the only place available we will go someone else.

Didn't eat, so I can't comment. But I went for a beer or two. Good pint. Nice atmosphere and polite staff. Beer wasn't a bad price.

Booked for a lunchtime meal online for four. Great, friendly service, lovely clean, warm, inviting restaurant. The food menu was good. The food was lovely. The tomato soup starter was absolutely delicious. Recommended!

Very tasty pub fare, a surprise find. Service was also excellent; staff were fast and friendly. I recommend the duck , as well as the roast chicken. My son also found the wagyu burger nice. Will definitely come again.

I went with my family and came back sooooo many times great quality food lovely welcoming staff great outside area and the food is top ! The roasts are the best you will every put in your mouth the beef and chocked cut like butter and everything else is divine and fresh quality just lush it is a pub but it’s a restaurant witch is separated from the bar the pub is not a dogey one it’s just family friends and great fun !x

Beautiful Sunday lunch . We sat in the bar with our little dog. They are so dig friendly. Pot treats and water for doggy! She loves it here. Sunday lunches are amazing .staff so friendly. Love this gorgeous pub !

I was in Kettering to watch Redditch United and we went here, I would highly recommend it to anyone to go and pay a visit it is friendly and welcoming. 10/10

What a find. I called as we were passing on our way home and luckily they had a table in the bar. Upon arrival we were shown to a lovely table by the fire. We were made to feel very welcome. The whole experience was fantastic, lovely, traditional food and a wonderful atmosphere. Excellent value too. Will certainly return. Thank you so much.

Great atmosphere and beer can get quite busy but if you want to visit a thiving pub this should definitely be on your list

33 went to the Vic on 13/12/23 for Christmas Lunch, service spot on, food delicious as usual, no waiting all served at once, great atmosphere, just want to thank Luke and his staff for a fantastic job as the pub was full Merry Christmas to you all

Everything about it was outstanding! We visited on 10th December for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed! The trio of meats were great, and my other half had the Turkey & Leek pie which she thoroughly enjoyed! We also had a dog with us and the staff were very accommodating of him. They firstly provided a small bucket of treats and later asked if he would like some offcuts of meat which was a very nice touch and went down great for the dog. Will definitely be visiting again in the not too distant future.

Meal and service were lovely One of our party couldn't make it due to illness but we still had to pay for her meal even though we didnt have it which is what i thought a deposit was for Our friend cant help being ill

Food is great and the service is ok. I would recommend you sit in the restaurant if you want food rather than the bar as kids will be running about

Had a meal here with relatives. Starter was duck gyzos. Very poor starter, salad was a few dry leaves with slices of chilli. Gyzos were dry. Had steak and ale pie for main course. That was OK but chips were dry.

Shout out to this great place! Our party had made a huge underestimation on party size for Sunday lunch. Our booking for 27 become 37ish. They pulled out all the stops to make sure we could all be seated, (and they were already fully booked) and the service and attitude from the staff was exceptional, especially given it was our fault. Thoroughly reccomend.

I have always loved The Olde Vic and we have always seen it as a special treat to come here. I always thought it was the sort of place where everyone made a bit more if an effort with their appearance, tonight that was not the case. Alot more casual outfits in the restaurant One very noisy table of diners spoilt the atmosphere by talking far too loudly. We would have stayed longer but couldn't wait to leave after dessert for a bit of peace. The food was delicious, quality not quantity and piping hot. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. I will return and keep by fingers crossed for some quieter diners next time.

The Olde Vic never fails to perform. Had a midweek meal night, before we go to York for the weekend. Absolutely delicious. Menu has changed recently and Kay had the haddock with a bisque cream sauce. I chose fried calves liver from the days special. Both were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The staff are always attentive and it's definitely one of the best places to eat within the Burton Latimer area.

So we have a birthday meal there last night and whilst we felt the food was lacking, the service and how the whole situation was handled was amazing. A special recognition to Luke who dealt with our table amazingly and to the kitchen who rescued a dropped cake. Still an enjoyable night.

Having submitted menu choices in advance as requested arrived to be told that one was not available as they had run out the previous day. The served alternative pie had obvoiusly been well overcooked to start with and the just reheated, limp pastry and tough meat. The served risotto was more like a very soggy rice pudding and when this was pointed out was offered a sweet potato curry that contained no sweet potato. Both meals were inedible.
