Stumbled about this fantastic place. Tucked out of the way but obviously popular with office staff. Great ale. Ordered two sandwiches. One chicken/bacon/egg & other fish finger/tartar sauce. Both really good & reasonably priced for London.

Good pub for after work beers and snacks. I went there last week twice really liked it.Definitely I will be back for more good time.

Lovely pub tucked away. Lots of business folk and busy. Lovely cider, in fact one of the nicest pint I’ve had. Wish I remembered the name. Perhaps if you read this you can let me know. Would definitely visit if in the area again.

We stopped for a quick drink and we ended up having a delicious Pizza. Place was very busy, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Definitely will be back.

Almost hidden away from the main road, this is a lovely, cosy pub with a great atmosphere. There's a nice little courtyard area and two bars inside, plus an extra area downstairs. They have a large selection of gins and other spirits plus lots of different beers on tap. Will definitely be visiting again!

I’ve been to many pubs and this is one of my favourites. It is tucked away with a nice outside courtyard and classy interior. The staff are friendly and efficient; you don’t have to wait long to get your drink. There is a wide variety of beers (including guest ales), wines and spirits. In short, a lovely place to have a drink.

This place has a lovely atmosphere with absolutely friendly and charming staff(especially Maria!). Couldn't recommend it enough :)

This pub is a hidden treasure in the middle of the City. It is a sort of a temple that convoys you to another rhythm, to another atmosphere. You arrive there tired and leave it recharged and happy. I love that.

I’ve been to the old tea warehouse last Friday with my friends and we had an amazing time. We all had pizzas and steak sandwiches and it was delicious. Service was impeccable! Very friendly staff and superb atmosphere!

This place has great atmosphere, loved the prompt service and beer selection. They have some vegan options on the menu as well, so that’s a plus .

When we came to the resturant the first time the food was very nice but this second time the food was very poor. The Nachos chips was cold, the chicken was overcooked. The fish sandwich had more batter than fish and the chips was cold. It seemed as if the food was cooked then left so our experience wasn't the best this second time.

Nadie atendía el bar, nadie nos saludaba con menús, uno de mis colegas tuvo que asomar la cabeza de la cocina / detrás de la barra para llamar la atención de alguien. El vaso en el que vino mi bebida olía absolutamente horrible y, cuando lo levanté, el hombre que servía no era del todo complaciente: puso los ojos en blanco y ni siquiera se disculpó por ello. Me tomó dos intentos para ordenar algo del menú que no estaba agotado. Eran las 12 de la noche de un miércoles, el lugar llevaba abierto solo una hora, ¿cómo podrían haberse agotado tan pronto? No parecía que hubieran tenido una oleada de clientes, de hecho no estaba ocupado en absoluto. Conseguí (finalmente) el sándwich de dedo de pescado y, aunque no era lo que esperaba, creo que hubiera preferido un dedo de pescado de ojo de pájaro en un rollo blanco. . Usaron salsa tártara como mantequilla en lugar de un condimento, completamente enjabonada en pan tostado, que era una roca sólida y muy difícil de comer. La ensalada que la acompañaba era floja y se ahogaba en el aderezo de la ensalada, por lo que el plato era una combinación de hojas muy empapadas y mucha salsa tártara con grandes trozos de pan tostado y algunas pequeñas hondas de pescado maltratado escondidas en el interior. Aquí no había servicio con una sonrisa y nadie vino a comprobar que la comida estaba bien, aunque me fui bastante. ¡Qué desperdicio de 15 para una comida muy mala! Evite, evite, evite. Yo sugeriría genuinamente a cualquiera que esté pensando en visitar para ir a Balls Brother's. ¡Es sólo a la vuelta de la esquina! Estaré difundiendo este punto de vista a lo largo y ancho. .

Interesting and tasty food, good well kept beer attentive service.

I booked a table two days in advance to celebrate the birthday of a friend and replied to the confirmation email. However, upon arrival, it turned out that no-one had any knowledge of my booking.<br /><br />The bar manager couldn’t be contacted and so my party and I were left to fend for ourselves. I don’t know if there was an issue with the app, but let’s give the staff the benefit of the doubt.<br /><br />The service was not great. I understand that bar staff working in the middle of the City of London are going to be rushed, but after waiting half an hour, with “suits” being allowed to push in front, I gave up. There was broken glass everywhere and halfway through the evening they stopped serving drinks from the taps, which was actually a blessing because every pint we had was warm.<br /><br />I’ve given a neutral rating for the food but we didn’t actually have any - no-one trusted eating there given our experience trying to order drinks - we cut our losses and went to eat elsewhere.<br /><br />I won’t be going back.

Three of us for lunch all ordered the same thing, my food arrived about 15 minutes before my friends and was only just warm and the chicken was slightly burnt . We asked for the bill, which never came and in the end we had to go to the bar to pay.

Menu was unfortunately very limited at the time of my visit.

Good old fashioned pub with really friendly staff. Good selection of drinks and the food is always good too. Love the outside area as well. Get in early on a Friday though as it fills up quickly!

Booked a table for lunch and once there, the waitresses just got rid of us as they were too busy to got us to our table that they gave to someone else despite showing white on black that we had a booking.Thus, we went elsewhere.

We came here while we waited for our Christmas party to start at another venue. Considering the time and how busy it was, we good served very quickly. The staff were very friendly and had a great selections of drinks on tap.

The fish cakes were at best luke warm, but for one of my guests they were cold in the middle. She had to send them back. I assume these are frozen &amp; then warmed up on demand. Please check the temperature of your food!

Visitamos el pub después de un trabajo no y algunas más bebidas. Es un pub muy vibrante, con asientos al aire libre/de pie y la planta baja con mesas de billar. Hay una gran variedad de bebidas y el personal es amable. He pasado muchas una noche para un rápido unas copas después de trabajar aquí. Nunca decepciona.

Service was a bit slow , and there was no vegetarian option available even though it was on the menu. The chef managed to put together a chicken burger that was not on the menu to substitute.

Not exactly exceptional, but definitely better than average pub food based on this experience. The ploughman&#039;s lunch that I ordered was especially good in my opinion, and my colleagues&#039; f&amp;c and club sandwich both looked fine. A pint and a half of Green King IPA helped too!

We had supper at 5pm before a concert we were going to next door in St Katherine Cree church. The bar was heaving, but the restaurant had only just started serving so we had a table in a quiet corner. One excellent shepherd's pie with perfectly cooked veg and one generous serving of varied mezze, a complementary bowl of piping hot extremely good chips, a good pint and a large glass of the house claret, friendly prompt service and all was well. A place with plenty of character, reasonable prices for London, certainly deserves a return visit. (We did just wonder during the concert whether the distant background noise we thought we could hear during the quiet moments came through the walls from the pub, but it could have been the considerable building works in the area which appear to continue during the night!)

A great traditional London pub with a handy location...particularly if you are sneaking one in. Seriously though, the beer is good and although it looks busy as you walk into the courtyard, it is quieter inside. Well worth a visit

This is a stand out traditional London City pub. The staff are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. There's a rotation of quality ales for sale. The food is outstanding. The new winter menu is stand out, from the Greengrocer Pie to the braised ox cheek. Hearty, wholesome food.The back area is warm, inviting and comfortable for larger groups, and there's a nice outdoor 'yard' area.Top drawer.

Food is of first class quality and served in generous portions, at prices that are very good value for money in my opinion. I go there frequently for lunch because it is always so good. They have just changed their menu and it includes some good hearty comfort food for winter such as lamb shepherd's pie and sticky toffee pudding. Their fish'n'chips is the best I've ever had in London. And for any salted caramel fans I can recommend the salted caramel ice cream which is absolutely delicious. Service is efficient and friendly, and the staff are knowledgeable about the food. Highly recommend.

We nipped in for a word lunch and while the choices looks &#039;plain&#039; when they arrived they were really good value and tasty! Great pub - hidden way! Although, finding the toilets can be a little bit of a job as they really aren&#039;t obvious.

I have no faults with this place. I made a booking and I went to the bar to ask where I would need to go. I was shown to a range of tables for me to choose from, given some menus to view and placed a drinks/order very seamlessly.<br /><br />The food was fantastic, good value for money - decent size portions and very tasty. Great range of beers and spirits to choose from too.<br /><br />There&#039;s an outdoor garden lit up by fairy lights which looked lovely.<br /><br />I&#039;m already planning my next visit here.

I use this establishment a couple of times a month for catch up lunches with business colleagues. It is the perfect location. Convenient. Excellent service. Nice informal ambience. Highly recommended. Book to be sure.

Good food pub, nice menu, good value for good quality ingredients, If you are there at lunchtime beware it gets packed with drinkers and office workers which makes it almost impossible to get in an out of the place. Staff cope well with the crowds and service was good

Been here many times, ostensibly for a lunchitme glass of wine and some bar food and the service has always been great. However, took two friends there for a sit down meal and whilst my food was lovely, my colleagues burger was cold and we waited over 45 minutes for it to be served. Having said that I will still continue to visit for a lunchtime glass of wine and some potato and chorizo!

We chose the Old Tea Warehouse because we had a group of guests visiting us in the UK and wanted a good value lunch with plenty of British dishes. This was delivered in the form of burgers, fish &amp; chips, bangers &amp; mash and shepherd&#039;s pie. There were other staples such as gnocchi and caesar salad which were also good. The only think that spoiled it was the staff who seemed stressed, rushing us to get our orders, and when we asked for one ball of ice cream they said they had to charge the same as a full pudding, which to me seemed extremely inflexible given we had already spent over £100 by that point. Still it was good value and did the job.

A friend and I ate here mid-week and were blown away by the service - social, professional and friendly. The food was yummee - the wine list perfect and atmosphere brilliant.<br /><br />I would definitely go back.<br /><br />Thank you for a fun evening.
