It was lovely to be greeted and seated as we arrived. Sourdough toast and jam, and Eggs Benedict were delicious, and the coffee was good. Cakes were bought to take away for later. Dogs were welcomed and we were given space for them. We were staying in the village so we returned for a second visit.

I stumbled across this restaurant just while out shopping I come from Kings Lynn so it’s not too far away but I didn’t actually know it was there. It looked really busy so I thought I would pop in and have a look. It was absolutely jampacked and you can tell why. The waitress we had, I didn’t get her name she was very friendly. She was very understanding of allergies. My mum has a dairy allergy and she was able to eat so much in this restaurant where typically there’s only really one or two things available but this restaurant had a whole host of menu available and was able to make adaptions. For drinks, my mum had a pea milk pumpkin latte she said it was absolutely delicious. She’s never had pea milk before. I went for the hot toddy. It was absolutely delicious. It was fresh apple juice turmeric and ginger warmed absolutely delicious. I wish I’ve got the recipe on how to make it because I will drink that all the time at home. So for food I went for the special menu. I had a steak sandwich which was absolutely incredible but it was massive. There was no way I was ever going to eat it all but the waitress was so kind and went and got us a lovely bag which was foil line so we keep the sandwich nice and fresh for me to take the other half home My mum went for the fry up And again, she said it was absolutely fantastic. They were able to make any adaptions that you needed and it was a delicious meal. The waitress mentioned also that they had a couple of cakes which were dairy free. I believe there was about four actually which was much more than you’d get in any other restaurant or bakery. Usually you’re lucky to get one option but there was four in this restaurant so although we was far too full up to eat any further, we did get a couple of cakes to take home and again they were absolutely delicious. Cakes really melt in the mouth soft moist cakes. You can also tell that they were fresh This place is probably more expensive than your typical Norfolk restaurant but I’ve got to say it was worth every penny we spent £40 for two people which I don’t really think was that bad maybe slightly over what you were typically pay but I think for the quality and the service it was brilliant you can really see why this restaurant is full so next time we decide to do a little shopping trip through Snettisham and Dersingham we will definitely be stopping by

Fantastic little cafe with a huge selection of amazing cakes and pastries and lovely cooked food. We were here for breakfast and ended up ordering far too much as the pastries looked to good to refuse and then we all had items from the hot breakfast menu as well. Everything was freshly cooked, looked great and more importantly tasted great. The service was friendly and very efficient. Would definitely return if in the area.

We arrived and were part of a queue out the door but we were told not to worry she'd get us in as soon as possible and sorted a table within 10 minutes. Service at the table was wonderful and the food was exceptional, especially Helen who was a delight.

This spot is fantastic, offering a wide variety of menu options. Helen greeted us warmly, doing a wonderful job hosting and seating everyone, which made our experience very enjoyable. She also gave us helpful recommendations for other local restaurants—especially valuable since it was our first visit to the village. Thanks, Helen! The food was delicious, with generous portions and excellent quality. Although it's one of the pricier cafes I’ve visited, the quality of food and service is well worth it. I’d also like to add that running a small business is challenging, and customer reviews can have a much greater impact than some might realize. Some of the lower reviews I’ve seen seem overly harsh and unjustified. Unless you’ve had a genuinely disappointing experience and can provide constructive feedback to the staff, it’s better to be considerate in your criticism. I noticed the manager, Ania, has responded to some of these negative reviews with professionalism and tact, handling criticism impressively. Kudos to her, and I hope the business continues to flourish along with its wonderful team.

We visited during a short break to the coast, the staff were very welcoming. The food and coffee was excellent. The only slight disappointment was there was only 1 cinnamon bun to take away so we had to share! Exceptional brunch

I went for the full English which was absolutely delicious. I asked if I could swap the black pudding and mushrooms for something else, as I don’t like them. This was not an option and if I wanted to add anything else I would need to pay extra. Quite disappointing as it wasn’t a cheap breakfast.

The Old Store is very popular and consequently very busy, which means you may have to wait for a table although we were lucky and went straight in. The staff are lovely and very friendly serving local excellent quality food at a great price. I have only one slight concern and that's the relationship between the height of the table and chairs. The chairs are too low and the window seating stools are also too low. I'm 5ft 10in and my wife is 5ft 8in and we both said that we felt the seating was too low or the tables are too high. This will not stop us going again. I'd like to say this is only an observation and will not stop us looking forward to our next visit!

What a find! We had noticed the queues at the door and thought it would be good . The restaurant was full but we waited only 10 mins to get a table. So glad we waited. The service and food was fantastic. It’s a lively buzzing place. Very stylish. I had the homemade lemonade, Delish, and the toasted sandwich of the day, pulled pork with red cabbage and it was superb. The bread is sourdough baked by themselves My husband had the Fit bowl which was also delicious and filling. The ingredients they use are top quality and the food , very inventive and well prepared and well cooked. We loved it. No wonder it’s so busy 😀Can’t recommend it highly enough

We actually only live round the corner from The Old Store and visit sporadically on the rare occasion we have a day off together! There is normally a queue to get in at the weekends but it is worth the wait and price of the food/drinks due to the prime location and quality of produce. The staff are very friendly and professional, tasty food, good coffee and a great range of dietary options. Not really suitable for children unless older!

Been to The Old Store many times now and should be ‘The old Post Office’ as consistently delivers. If it is busy, you wait outside and the manager comes out frequently with an update on your table availability. The restaurant is set on the side of the road with limited parking so drive around and you will find somewhere nearby. Inside is an open kitchen, about 12 tables of different sizes and areas to sit by the windows plus a counter serving drinks and fresh pastries, savouries etc. The staff are always friendly, happy and pleased to see you. The food amazing. Fresh, great portions, and the sourdough perfect. Always seems to be busy now which is great, be prepared to wait for a table, or get a booking for more than 6. It’s worth it every time. Enjoy

Also had a lovely smoothie too. The staff are lovely and they also bake their own bread, cakes etc. would highly recommend a visit.

We came at 8:30am on a Saturday morning and got the last table available without a wait - this place is clearly very popular, and its no surprise! The food was great, and came quickly given how busy it was - they make all their sourdough in house and that with perfectly cooked poached eggs was delicious! The coffee was good (if a tiiiiiny bit sour for my taste), and is from a local roastery. Staff were friendly and attentive - would definitely recommend (although go early or be prepared to wait for a table!)

Spent a few days in north Norfolk and had some wonderful GF food. However, the highlight for me has to be breakfast at the Old Store in Snettisham, just outside Hunstanton. Expecting the usual GF compromise breakfast of no sausage and no black pudding, imagine my surprise and delight when I was served a wonderful plate of food, including local butchers GF sausage, and Fruit Pig GF black pudding. They even cooked the hash brown, which is homemade, in the oven to avoid possible cross contamination in the fryer. Yes, it was £15. Yes, they do actually do a bigger version with more bacon and eggs. But, it was by far the best cooked breakfast I have had, out, GF or not! Owners, please make more of a noise about GF options on your website and also menu.

We are BIG foodies, and we are RARELY satisfied when we eat out, however this place exceeded all expectations. The best breakfast options of anywhere in the east of England. The food is incredible, I struggled to choose as everything sounded delicious, I can't wait to go back and try different dishes. Everything from the coffee, to juices, pastries, main food menu is exceptional. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Cannot fault the place at all.

Probably the best breakfast I have ever had!! We were staying locally and went to The Old Store for a breakfast/ brunch. The service and food were both amazing and I would recommend everyone to try the full English breakfast!! They use local ingredients wherever possible and even the coffee is locally produced. They have a good selection of drinks in addition to your hot teas / coffees. Also they have award winning sourdough bread which we loved so much we popped back to pick some up to take home with us along side a few slices of fantastic flapjack. We will be returning without doubt next time we are in the area.

Presumably quality ingredients ruined by bad cooking and odd presentation - sausage patty so solid it was difficult to cut through and egg also overcooked with set yolk. Dish was supposed to feature raclette cheese which I expected to be oozing over the muffin - instead there was a dried up smear. Coffee was good but won’t eat there again.

Been to the Old Stores a few times and has always delivered on quality and the staff excellent and friendly. This was our third visit in February and although the food was banging, we felt the highly rated sour dough bread that our bacon sandwiches were in, was possibly not the highly rated sour dough bread, more of a good bread. It was still lovely but having enjoyed the crunchy crust and slightly lighter feel to a sour dough bread in the past, on this occasion it didn’t hit the mark. Nevertheless five star review as it was still great and really enjoyed it. Enjoy

We found The Old Store after looking for places for brunch in the area on Trip Advisor. The first thing we noticed was that it was busy. We were met at the front door by a friendly member of staff who sorted a table within a few minutes, while we queued outside. Our order was taken as soon as we were ready and the drinks arrived very quickly. The coffee was mellow and smooth. I had eggs royale with bacon and my wife had bacon and egg sandwiches. The food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. I was particularly impressed by this as the place was extremely busy. The quality of the food was outstanding, it was the best eggs royale I’ve ever had. There was so much attention to detail from the muffin, the spinach, the egg, the hollandaise sauce and the bacon, all excellent quality and perfectly cooked. The staff were extremely polite, helpful, friendly and thoughtful. In short: excellent food, lovely staff, great location, excellent bread. Outstanding.

Having set off very early (for us!) to witness the bird spectacle on a high spring tide, on a rather chilly morning, we were desperate to save our very existence with good coffee and brunch. We stumbled across the Old Store almost by accident and what a find! Met and gret(?) at the door, the place was full save for a table for three of us. We soon learned why. Fantastic food, top quality service all served up with smile. They even laughed at my terrible jokes, which is never heard of... Brilliant menu and, we had the best Eggs Royale EVER, with the most amazing eggs and locally smoked salmon making it very special. Cannot recommend highly enough. Top drawer hospitality business clearly run by a visionary with very high standards.
